December 2021[edit source]

Hello TylerMagee. I see you welcomed a user to Miraheze Meta. Do note that whenever welcoming a user using the {{Welcome}} template, you must substitute the template for it to render correctly. Additionally, do note that you should not welcome users on Meta until they've done at least a few contributions to prevent unnecessary creation of pages. Thanks! Meta contributions and Phabricator[edit source]

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that while some of your contributions here are appreciated, and others I am sure they are made in good faith, some of your edits and tasks created on Phabricator have been problematic. In terms of Phabricator tasks, I would recommend taking some time to think before immediately creating one. Instead you could join us on IRC or Discord to discuss your ideas, since as you might have noticed many of your tasks so far have been declined, mostly because no valid reason was provided for them. In addition, regarding Meta I would recommend that you also take more time to consider whether an edit is actually useful, such as this one. The basic idea is that you should probably take more time in general to understand how Miraheze works and how we do things around here. If you have any questions feel free to reply to this thread. Thanks Reception123 (talk) (C) 18:56, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect statements on Phabricator[edit source]

Hi. It appears that you haven't read my message above. Please refrain from making statements such as this one without knowing that they are correct, as they confuse users. Once again, I strongly recommend that you get more familiar with Miraheze and how we do things before attempting to help users on Phabricator, as without more knowledge the advice is likely to be incorrect and cause confusion. Further action may be taken if you ignore this thread. Reception123 (talk) (C) 06:20, 9 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting users that just needs to get a warning to be globally locked[edit source]

Not biting here, you've been requesting lots of users to be globally locked because of some reasons that should just be a warning or a meta only local block.

I remembered when you requested a user to be blocked because they created 4 wiki requests the same. It's probably just a connection issue, when you submit forms if theres bad internet connection it will display a "Confirm form resubmission" message (although the form is already submitted) and a user who doesn't know what it means would click ok and submit the form again, that user probably clicked ok and then it didn't work and repeat it 3 times so there's 4 requests.  AP📨  08:36, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I will note for the latest case, this is not something that anyone without Global Sysop or Steward rights should be doing. That is because the two groups are the only ones with the jurisdiction and means to fully enforce the policy and it is preferred to leave these raw formal matters to them, especially when the case is as mild as a user taking an iconic name and otherwise appearing productive. If they decide the name can stand, it makes the message all the less usable. Pursuant to this, I have undone the message you left. --Raidarr (talk) 09:37, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Given your history, please take the warnings on here as final. If you continue to provide incorrect information to users or unhelpful commentary, it will be treated as disruptive editing from now on and face potential blocks. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (     online) 15:19, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I will consider this the final warning. In general, I will instead stop it and make productive edits instead. TylerMagee (talk) 15:32, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
exactly. This Wikimedia account hasn't edited for a year, forget about those accounts. YellowFrogger (Talk Edits) 17:32, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
