Signatures on talk pages, user talk pages, and noticeboards[edit source]

Hi Sicktrus,

While it is great that you added your signature manually in a question for Zppix on his user talk page, your signature timestamp format did not follow our established standards.

Please do and try ensure you:

  1. Sign all talk page, including user talk page and noticeboard, posts with four tildes (~~~~); and that you,
  2. Ensure your timestamp format is HH:MM, DD Month YYYY (UTC) where HH:MM represents the numerical clock notations for the time, DD indicates the two digit day of the month, Month indicates the name of the current month, and YYYY indicates the four digit current year.

Thanks,

@Sicktrus: Looking at your wiki request and your original post on Zppix' user talk page, I do get the feeling you're not completely new to Miraheze, as I get a bit of a sense that you're fairly familiar with Miraheze. If that's the case, I should note that you should review user accounts policy, disclosing (publicly or privately) to administrators on Meta Wiki and stewards any prior account(s) you've had (as a general recommended best practice). If that's not the case, welcome to Miraheze and to Meta. For statistical tracking and customer experience enhancement purposes, may I ask how you found Miraheze and/or who referred you to Miraheze? @Dmehus: Well, I found out about Miraheze specifically through the Project Sekai Colorful Stage feat. Hatsune Miku wiki, of which I'm a user, but I do have experience with using Mediawiki (Puyo Nexus, Project Sekai) as well as the FANDOM.com wiki farm (Azure Striker Gunvolt, Continue/Stop/Rise Universe). I'm a lot more proficient in using FANDOM, both with editing and managing, but I'm still fairly new to both editing or managing with Mediawiki/Miraheze, which is probably why I come across as being fairly familiar but still not quite in the loop with how things are done around here. I must apologize if I'm unaware of things that seem obvious or commonplace on this platform specifically; as a moderator of a wiki hosted on another farm myself, I understand these things can be tedious to explain to new users. @Sicktrus: Okay, that's great then. Welcome to Miraheze! I should now properly {{welcome}} you, and thank you also for fixing the timestamp of your signature and for your understanding. Dmehus (talk) 00:24, 23 November 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Welcome to Miraheze[edit source]

Hello, Sicktrus, and welcome to Miraheze! Miraheze is a free, non-for-profit wiki hosting service. If you would like to start a wiki please fill in this form or, if you'd like to contribute to an existing wiki, please see a few wikis here or the full list of wikis here. Note that (private) wikis aren't accessible unless you are given access, and closed wikis cannot be edited.

For more information, please see our FAQ. If you have any additional questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact us.

You are encouraged to create your user page, whether here on Meta (visible only when on Meta), or your global user page that visible on any Miraheze wiki where a user does not have a local user page and provided that the wiki has the GlobalUserPage extension enabled and, additionally, where the wiki is not using the SocialProfile extension. Should you decide to create your global user page on Loginwiki and wish for it to replace your Meta user page, simply add the {{delete}} template to the top of your Meta user page by copying and pasting this code ({{Delete|1=Author requests deletion, or author blanked.}}), and an administrator should delete it promptly (usually within 24 hours).

If you have any questions, after first reviewing FAQ and the help center, please don't hesitate to ask at the community noticeboard, but please be sure to end all new topics or replies you make on talk pages, user talk pages (like this one), and noticeboards with four tildes (~~~~) to include both (a) a username and (b) a properly formatted timestamp for our talk page archiving bot.

Thanks,
Dmehus (talk) 00:25, 23 November 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
