lint error[edit source]

Read here.--Angelo Pisani (talk) 15:44, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi, thanks for contacting me; I was about to do the same. I am not sure why you linked me that particular diff but anyway, lint errors are not so important that you need to go fix 'em all without notifying the user whose post you edited. Why do not you just contact Revi first? Redmin Contributions CentralAuth (talk) 16:02, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
already contacted him. The diff is for justification. "lint errors are not so important that you need to go fix 'em all without notifying the user whose post you edited": Lucarosty doesn't agree with you :P (Lucarosty is the biggest lint-error fixer on wikipedia). Angelo Pisani (talk) 16:09, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
We are talking about Revi, not MacFan4500 whom you contacted. Redmin Contributions CentralAuth (talk) 17:20, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes i've contacted him, see his user talk page. Angelo Pisani (talk) 18:18, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ah, right, I forgot to check the archives. Sorry for the trouble! 😅 Redmin Contributions CentralAuth (talk) 18:39, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit source]

The Technical Barnstar
On behalf on Mediawiki Engineering, Thanks for your contributions over the last year. You've been a huge help and our leading non-sysadmin task closer and author of config changes!

Have a happy end to the year! RhinosF1 (Miraheze) (talk) 22:50, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Still active[edit source]

Are you still active? I couldn't find any places where you are active: scratch - no and wikipedia - no too  Anpang📨  08:06, 16 January 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

TranslationHelper[edit source]

Hi Redmin. You may already know that TranslationHelper (talkcontribslogs) has been inactive for over a year, do you still need the bot flag? There is also a discussion at Meta:CPO#Inactive bots in which you may like to participate. Thanks, Magogre (talk) 05:20, 6 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

miraHow (#41834)[edit source]

Can you please take a look at miraHow with wiki request no. 41834? Silicona (talk) 18:47, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please be patient. There are many requests and few active creators at this time. Asking for an expedited request will not lower your waiting time. Globe - (TalkContributionsCA) 18:48, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
What about Tali643, which handled wiki requests very quickly and is not longer a wiki creator? If Tali643 is still a wiki creator today, they would now accept my request. Silicona (talk) 18:56, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Sigh. Tali643 is no longer a wiki creator and they would've only accepted your request if it met the content policy. Globe - (TalkContributionsCA) 18:57, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Please refrain from randomly asking WCs to prioritize your request as Globe has already said. Thanks. Redmin Contributions CentralAuth (talk) 19:39, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Redmin I saw you declined my wiki request for being too broad. The current and even proposed Content Policy doesn't mention how broad a wiki should be.
Half a year ago, The Miraheze Cookbook request has been accepted.
Here is a comparison for miraHow vs The Miraheze Cookbook:
miraHow The Miraheze Cookbooks
  • Recipes
  • Art and craft projects
  • Scientific projects
  • DIY projects
  • Technical projects
  • Health projects
  • Recipes
  • Ingredients
  • Culsines
  • Nutrition
  • Equipment

Hi, Miraheze has a finite amount of resources and spending that on wikis that seek to cover too many wikis is unwise because what they seek to cover is already covered (in this case, by WikiHow) and they usually do not end up being successful. As for Miraheze Cookbook, the name must be changed as it suggests an official affiliation with Miraheze exists. Please let us know once you have done that. Thank you. Redmin Contributions CentralAuth (talk) 15:30, 7 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If it must be changed the matter should be cced to stewards to authorize the request if only so they can ensure it is done correctly and act further if not.
On a different note the fact the cookbook was accepted as-is reflects the incredibly slack standard for approval at the time. Tali handled things very quickly just to get them done by his own admission at a sacrifice of review integrity. Under closer supervision with a revised Content Policy and new team being onboarded, what passed then simply does not pass at this time. --raidarr (💬) 16:53, 7 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hello, Raidarr. The only thing I will say is that I am rather disappointed that you found it necessary to come over to my talk page and lecture me on a process that I am well aware of and have even gone through several times in the past. Please don't make presumptions like this going forward. Thanks. Redmin Contributions CentralAuth (talk) 17:42, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hi all, a friendly reminder that we're all on the same team here and should try to assume the best intent from others.
An ask to change name of an already-approved wiki should come from Stewards or similar global-enforcement role to carry the correct weight of enforcement, but I read Raidarr's comment as making sure the ask didn't get lost in the sea of volunteer activities that consume our time, not an attack on your knowledge or character.
I've made the request on their meta and local talk pages, and will follow up w/ them once the time afforded has elapsed.
-- NotAracham (talkcontribsglobal) 01:44, 9 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@NotAracham, to clarify, my intent was not at all to somehow subvert Stewards but rather to raise this with the Steward team after Silicona changed the name (or on their failure to do so) so as not to waste too much precious time since Stewards (especially you) have lately been busy with reviewing wiki requests (thank you!) in addition to your usual duty. Looking back, I realise that was not my best decision; and your point regarding deferring to Stewards is noted. However, my reading of Raidarr's comment as well as my request to them remains the same. Thanks. Redmin Contributions CentralAuth (talk) 08:21, 9 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm not sure why you decided to assume the worst intention or take it upon yourself to perform a function stewards can and should do verses relieving the function you have that they had to step into but I'll bear it in mind then. Have a good day, I won't be pursuing... whatever this is further. I guess email me if this particular vent has other reasons you want to unload. --raidarr (💬) 09:37, 9 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
