Help me![edit source]

This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can ask another question on your talk page, or consider joining us on either Discord or IRC at #miraheze connect (IRC help disclaimer)

Please help me with... how to change the skin of my new wiki. I have been to the MediaWiki site and seen that there are some good skins. The Tweeki skin is listed as "stable" and I would like to apply this to my new wiki.

I would just like to say thank you to somebody. I am really new here and really appreciate the wonderful work you are all doing and supporting free access to community portals. THANK YOU.

I am really looking forward to creating a great portal to hopefully support a growing community for a non-commercial participatory arts project.

Rosie, thank you for your question and for using the {{help me}} template. First, you should be able to enable the Tweeki skin on your wiki in Special:ManageWiki/extensions ("Skins" tab). Second, it sounds like you may also need to change $wgDefaultSkin and possibly $wgDefaultMobileSkin in Special:ManageWiki/settings ("Styling" tab), again on your wiki. This is so users will see these skins by default. Optionally, and by no means required, you may wish disable the ability for users to use skins other than your wiki's default with the $wgSkipSkins variable in Special:ManageWiki/settings ("Preferences" tab). If Tweeki is not installed on Miraheze, then that would need to be requested on Phabricator, and a security review done. I will {{ping}} Lake to this thread, as I know he is a fan of the Tweeki skin, and may have something to add. Dmehus (talk) 09:09, 12 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yep, Tweeki is installed on Miraheze. Also, as a pro tip, when you reply, be sure to append ~~~~ to add your signature. See also this help page on on how to sign your posts on talk pages. Dmehus (talk) 09:13, 12 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Rosie Hello! If you need help with CSS, just reach out to my talk page or ping me Discord (Lake#1494). As you might know already, the Miraheze IRC is relayed through Discord (and vice-versa), so we can talk there as well.  —Lakelimbo (talk)  20:52, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
