Getting TA permission[edit source]

Hello. I'm Buehl106,a translation administrator here. You should request at Meta:AN after you're experienced. Thank you. by Buehl106 ·Talk·e-mail 04:26, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

As i said:

As I said, even though even my main account has only been around for a short time... I would still like to be Wiki creator and Translation administrator

Unfortunately, you need to be around for longer to get permissions such as translation administrator and wiki creator. However, you may still contribute in other ways without these permissions. Collei (talk) 00:56, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Not really, I'm just very limited Justman (talk) 14:53, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The reason that new users can't become things like wiki creator very quickly is because approving/denying wikis requires a lot of knowledge of Miraheze's policies, customs, essays, and community. You probably aren't ready yet.
I started editing on Miraheze fairly recently, and I'm still learning new things all the time. Collei (talk) 16:37, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Moreover, as far as translation administrator is concerned, yes, I already have some translations... Justman (talk) 12:21, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

On translations[edit source]

Hi Justman! Thank you for volunteering and providing so many translations in German! I was just very curious about one thing, you seem to be a fast translator. Are you, by any chance, using a translation service such as Google Translate to translate pages? Do you yourself know a good amount of German? Just curious, thanks! Agent Isai Talk to me! 17:42, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I use DeepL... If one absolutely wants to know 🙂... In contrast to Google Translate and co, however, DeepL is quite stable. Justman (talk) 17:46, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That's good to know! I've heard great things about DeepL. Do you yourself also happen to know German, by the way? Agent Isai Talk to me! 17:48, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
As you can see from my profile, I am a german native speaker. I only use DeepL because I am not fluent in English Justman (talk) 17:49, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
By the way, I also wanted to be a translation administrator so that I could do my job better. But it was cancelled 😭 Justman (talk) 17:47, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Agent Isai Justman (talk) 18:25, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Oh, and I would like the permissions noratelimit and editprotected. Justman (talk) 18:26, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
There are other places to request that. Get (auto)confirmed for noratelimit; as for editprotected, why do you need that? Collei (talk) 00:48, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
My bad, being (auto)confirmed only exempts you from IP-based rate limits, as opposed to account-based rate limits, but it should be all you need. I've never had any issues so far. Is there a reason that you request the two rights? Collei (talk) 07:08, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I already have problems with the rate limits:

I need the second permission to edit protected pages, to adapt original texts for translation or to correct them. Justman (talk) 15:43, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Edit on the talk page of the sysop-protected pages and make an edit request. Alternatively, if you think that the pages shouldn't be protected, you can request that they be lowered in protection.
As for the rate limits, did that happen more than 4 days after you started editing? Collei (talk) 16:08, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Regarding your RfP[edit source]

Hi, to request Translation Administrator, please go to AN. Thanks. --Blad (talkcontribsglobal) 13:16, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
