Blocking me On ficreation Wiki[edit source]

(@Cuddly Rainbow Guardian:) I am here to discuss My unfair block on ficreation Wiki I find it inappropriate of you to block me when I done nothing wrong on wiki] and ask you to reconsider on top of that this block is considered going against Code of Conduct I am asking that you reconsider that and unblock me I edit at that wiki and ask you to do the right thing and unblock me as I did nothing wrong on Wiki or on discord And please note if you don't reconsider I will have to get Stewards involved and don't want to do that Thanks Cocopuff2018 --Cocopuff2018 (talk) 02:49, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

you have been evading bans on discord servers and harassed several users on there. kbos (talk) 14:31, 8 January 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Cuddly Rainbow Guardian:  Comment: As a member of the Miraheze global community, I would just make the following comment that conduct which occurred off-wiki does not necessarily necessitate an on-wiki block. As bureaucrats on local wikis, it is important for us to remember a couple key points, namely that (a) our actions as administrators must be in keeping with locally consensus approved policies and community standards as well as with any global policies, including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct and that (b) good-faith should be assumed. While I have not looked into this case particularly, I will say, generally, that I personally find the apparently common Reception wiki practice of blocking users on-wiki before the user has ever contributed to the wiki to be a bad local practice, and I would urge you to reconsider your approach with respect to adopting / not adopting this local practice. In particular, users attach their accounts merely by visiting a wiki while logged in, which we certainly want to encourage. So, in that way, they have no choice about whether their account gets attached to local wikis. A better strategy would be to provide a notice on the users' local wiki user talk pages informing them that their participation on this wiki is not welcome, and that they should not contribute to this wiki, should that have been their wish, other than their own user talk page for the purposes of asking a reasonable number of questions about this notice. As a fairly prominent member within the Reception wiki community of wikis, fairly broadly construed, you have some apparent considerable influence in terms of the capacity to effective positive, inclusive, and pro-diversity supporting changes to this local practice. @Cuddly Rainbow Guardian: That's great, and I really do think that's the best approach. I'm glad we were able to have this  resolved locally. @Cocopuff2018:, should you wish to contribute to this wiki, I strongly recommend you reach out to Cuddly Rainbow Guardian on their local user talk page on the wiki so they can set the scene for you in terms of local wiki norms, rules, and expectations. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 17:10, 9 January 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

No, this block is considered violating Code of Conduct I suggest you unblock me before I get stewards to come take care of this and interview intervene on this, also I want you to link me to wiki policies, I have done nothing within the wiki warrant for this block and if there is policies within the wiki saying otherwise then I am sorry to say this is totally violating Code of conduct, and again I have done nothing wrong so please unblock me --Cocopuff2018 (talk) 16:14, 8 January 2021 (UTC) Amended for clarity by Dmehus (talk) on 16:55, 8 January 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
