User accounts policy and general maturity reminder[edit source]

Hi CookiesandCream01,

Recently, the Counter Vandalism Team, consisting of Stewards and Global Sysops, were summoned to your wiki to handle and investigate recurring death threats, vandalism, and other immature nuisance trolling. As part of that investigation, you were confirmed to have operated those vandalism only accounts. This is functionally akin to pulling the alarm in a school, or other public building, claiming there's a fire when there is no fire. Aside from that, this is extremely immature trolling behaviour, but more importantly, contrary to the user accounts policy, as you're using alternate accounts in a deceptive fashion in order to make death threats upon yourself. I've Yes check.svg locked your sockpuppet accounts, but have left your primary account unlocked, with a firm, strong warning to cease this behaviour immediately and to review our global policies, notably but not limited to user accounts policy and Code of Conduct, and ensure you follow them going forward.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Cheers,

I am really sorry. I will not do this again. CookiesandCream01 (talk) 16:34, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you even do that though? RMV2003 (talk) 17:47, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Um...I don't know. However, I do promise to listen to what you're saying and refrain from this behaviour. CookiesandCream01 (talk) 18:26, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning regarding user accounts policy[edit source]

Hi CookiesandCream01,

Thank you for your reply; however, following recent reports to Stewards/Global Sysops, principally, via the #miraheze-cvt connect channel on IRC, I see that you have continued this practice, despite pledging to refrain from the behaviour.

Please let me make this more clear:

  1. Cease this behaviour immediately; and,
  2. Do not create any alternate accounts while logged out or which you have not confirmed publicly on-wiki, from your main account and the applicable alternate account

I have Yes check.svg globally locked your recently created illegitimate sockpuppet accounts. However, should you fail to heed either of those two criterions above, your main account will be locked in accordance with this policy.

Thank you,
Dmehus (talk) 15:58, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am very, very sorry. Correction: I am more sorry than ever, I am extraordinarily sorry. I will never do it again. I hope not! Let's just refrain from this behaviour. CookiesandCream01 (talk) 17:32, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

smash bros wiki[edit source]

Did you close it in response to recent incident? Just curious, although mario.miraheze.org does allow for Smash Bros. coverage (I redid the main page recently) RMV2003 (talk) 18:33, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

RMK2003, it doesn't look it was in response to the above-captioned instances you referenced. I suspect it had more to you raising the copyright attribution and potential Content Policy issue (i.e., significant content "fork wikis") at the user's local user talk page. Assuming that's the case, that looks to be good-faith. CookiesandCream01, would you like the wiki deleted then? Dmehus (talk) 18:46, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Mario Wiki was also caught taking pages from the main mariowiki.com, so what I did was I've worked to try and steer the wiki into a more original direction and made an attribution template for it, as the CC-BY-SA license requires it. RMV2003 (talk) 18:48, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
RMK2003 That's great then. Yeah, please also them know if they need a local interwiki prefix on their wiki, they can request it at community noticeboard or on the user talk page of any of these users:
Interwiki administrators
Stewards
n.b. Primarily if the wiki is a private wiki
