@AppleCrunchy: Consistent with talk page conventions, you should not put your signature timestamp on a new line. Simply have a space following your closing parentheses of your user talk page link, like this. Note I have removed the additional hyphens, too. Friendly tip on welcoming new users to Meta[edit source]

Hi AppleCrunchy,

Firstly, let me start by saying how wonderful it is to see you volunteering on Meta, adding {{unsigned}} signatures, and moving out of scope discussions to the correct noticeboard. This stands you in good stead to, perhaps in a few weeks, become a patroller on Meta. While it would be both wonderful and friendly to welcome new users to Meta, it is actually problematic for a couple reasons, which weren't immediately clear to me at first when I first joined, either. In my discussions with @Reception123:, we probably could do well to have a guidance essay that explains these reasons. Anyway, the main reason is that new users usually have their account automatically attached to Meta wiki without ever having any intention of participating here. Related to this main reason, a second reason is that many new users also end up being spam-only or vandalism-only accounts, so there's no need to welcome what will be those single-purpose accounts. Instead, it is best to check their Special:Contributions and welcome new users only when they make their first (or more) contribution(s) to Meta. :)

Also, I hope you don't mind me reverting your move of Missing Mirahezians to Meta: namespace. The reason is because Meta: namespace is primarily for Meta Wiki-related policies, documentation, essays, permissions requests, and the like, whereas Main: namespace is for the same and similar that are either (a) global or (b) community-oriented in nature. One exception to this guideline is Meta:Wiki creators, which is, technically, a global role that exists only on Meta. It was established by a global RfC, but exists locally as a Meta only user right. That is why stewards are the ones that close those permissions requests.

If you ever have questions about something or want to check before doing something, please don't hesitate to {{ping}} me about it and, again, thank you for your constructive contributions to and volunteering for Miraheze. :)

Cheers,
