Conditional unlock[edit source]

Hi Andrew071117,

Per the discussion in the #general channel on Discord, as I accept that you were not aware of user accounts policy, a global policy supported by the community, that is designed principally to ensure locally or globally imposed user restrictions are sanctions are enforced and appealed in the normal process, I have agreed to conditionally unlock your master account with your understanding that you appeal any local blocks as may be in effect on local wikis to which your global account has been attached and that you not vandalize either your own wiki or other wikis, logged in or logged out. To help enforce this condition, you are further subject to a one (1) global account limitation on Miraheze, meaning that you may only use this account unless you obtain prior written consent from Stewards to create an additional account or that this restriction has been removed. If your local wiki user talk page access has been removed and you want to appeal a local block, you may reach out to a local wiki administrator via their user talk page on Meta.

Thanks,

Conditional unlock[edit source]

Hi Andrew071117,

Per your confirmation on Discord via direct message, I am conditionally unlocking you again, with the added condition, in addition to the previous two conditions. That is to say, you must not be abusive across wikis (i.e., respect for local wiki policies, no edit warring, no excessive promotion of your wikis, etc.).

Thank you,

How do I move my wiki off miraheze to localhost[edit source]

hi I do not know how to move my wiki off localhost I want to know how do it I asked on discord they did not answer.--Andrew071117 (talk) 03:35, 26 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Andrew071117 Bearing in mind that self hosting a wiki is a lot of work, you can export dumps of your wiki's XML and images using Special:DataDump (on your Miraheze wiki(s)). You will then need to run the importDump.php maintenance script on your self-hosted wiki. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 03:52, 26 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Can I do it on Android Andrew071117 (talk) 15:43, 26 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If you mean self host a wiki only on mobile I guess it might be possible but it would be a difficult thing to do. Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:49, 26 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Echoing and adding to what Reception123 said, I would also add that it wouldn't be recommended run certain tasks on a mobile connection. Dmehus (talk) 15:50, 26 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Andrew071117: Hm? That's in contradiction with your past statement asking if you can do it on Android, so I'm confused now. Reception123 (talk) (C) 16:40, 26 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

what is a condentional unlock[edit source]

hi I need to know what is a conventional unlock I do not know — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrew071117 (talkcontribs) 17:21, 26 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The meaning of a conditional unlock has been explained to you above by @Dmehus:, it means that if you do not respect these conditions you will be locked again. They are simple: you are not to vandalise any wikis and you are to only use one account on Miraheze. --Reception123 (talk) (C) 18:13, 26 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
