Hola, tengo una pregunta pero no sé si sepas. ¿Hay alguna forma para eliminar el resumen de borrado —que dice el contenido era [...]— (no me refiero a la razón de borrado) que queda cuando se borra una página? Para que sea vea limpio el registro de borrado. Algo así veo que está en Wikipedia en español desde hace un tiempo pero no encuentro la forma de hacerlo en mi wiki privada. @Wiki1776: Hola, eso se logra con un gadget JS. Tienes que crear en tu wiki MediaWiki:Gadget-CleanDeleteReasons.js con este contenido y posteriormente añadir a MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition la línea * CleanDeleteReasons[ResourceLoader|default|rights=delete] | CleanDeleteReasons.js. Con eso ya se eliminará automáticamente todos los resúmenes de edición "el contenido era..." y sus variantes como "el contenido antes de blanquear era...", etc. Saludos. —Alvaro Molina (✉ - ✔) 22:00, 3 July 2017 (UTC)

Please note that there has been a change to CreateWiki, and now you do not need to notify the users manually, all you need to do is have the "Notify" button checked on Special:CreateWiki, and this will be done automatically. If there is any confusion please read Meta:Wiki creators guide

Changing title

Problem with the Wiki

Hey AlvaroMolina,

Thank you so much for creating hamim wiki but I am having a problem with it. I also posted to Stewards' noticeboard.

https://hamim.miraheze.org redirects to https://hamim.miraheze.org/wiki/ and I get the error below each and every time I visit https://hamim.miraheze.org. Problem goes away when I click on the logo upper left which goes to the Main Page https://hamim.miraheze.org/wiki/Anasayfa

When I visit the wiki, I receive an "access error" in Turkish (language is expected - but not the error). See below. In a nutshell it says Ha-Mim does not have access to this page.

Discussion notifications

As you have probably noticed by now, Site updates have not been sent/updated for a while. The main reason for this is the fact that there was not an interest in it, and there was not enough information that was worth sending to users monthly.

I am sending this message to the Site updates list because I would like to propose a trying out a different type of notice sent to users. Instead of monthly updates of a limited number of statistics (which can be consulted by users anyway), staff would instead notify interested users if there is an interesting discussion (on Community noticeboard or Stewards' noticeboard) or if there is a local vote on Meta. Currently, there is no incentive for many users to visit Meta and check recent changes to see if there is anything they would be interested in, so this system would fix that and notify users of that so they can join in the discussion whenever there is one.

In order to subscribe to these notifications, please add your name in the same format to Discussion notifications/List, and you will start being notified on your talkpage. If there is interest in these notifications, they will be continued.

Also, please note that at least for the time being Site updates will be discontinued (since all the statistics are available anyway).

My wiki

Hi! You once texted me about the matter of a wiki you started at my request — it was more like a sandbox rather than one on a serious topic. I don't think I need it anymore, but I'm pretty curious why it's no longer available. I remember it was once set private, and from then on my account was the only one to access it. Now, when trying to key in the URL, I'm only shown the statement, "We couldn't find the wiki you were looking for on our servers." Is there a procedure that conditions which wikis are destined to be removed in this way?

@Usik64: Firstly, AlvaroMolina is not that active on Miraheze of late, but I understand your reaching out as he created your wiki back in 2017. I've looked into your original wiki request, and can see that, indeed, the wiki does not exist. As such, it was likely deleted in accordance with Dormancy Policy at some point. I was able to locate a public XML dump of your wiki (i.e., no images or other uploaded files). There may also be a more recent backup than that one, but due to a technical issue at the time, @Reception123: was not able to transcribe the list of deleted wiki database names with each public wiki backup. So, I would suggest you request a new wiki, taking care to describe a clear purpose, scope, and topic(s) for your wiki. Also, you will need to choose a new subdomain as wikis.miraheze.org would not acceptable for the purposes of one specific wiki. Once that's done, a Phabricator task can be created to request system administrators import your public XML dump. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 20:55, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
