Up to 3 community directors can be recommended by the community under article 17.b.ii under the Miraheze AoA as requested by the Directors.

Election Management[edit source]

An Election Commissioner is to be appointed to manage the nomination of directors to Miraheze Limited for the community.

Scope[edit source]

The Commissioner will manage:

  • Communicating with the Secretary of the Board to ensure that an election can be called timely and appropriately.
  • Ensuring the election is carried out in a fair and legal manner.
  • Declaring the result of the election and advising the Secretary of the Board.
  • Ensuring all legal candidates are allowed to take place - liaising with the Secretary of the Board
  • The vote is closed in accordance with all rules.

Eligibility of a Commissioner[edit source]

In order to be eligible for nomination, a user must meet the following requirements:

  • The user's global (SUL) account must be at least three months old from the time of voting
  • The user must have at least 60 global edits or log actions
  • The user must have a level of activity that is acceptable by the community
  • The user must be in good global standing (no CoCC determined violations)

Appointment of a commissioner[edit source]

A commissioner will be appointed when:

  • There is at least 60% support.
  • At least 20 users have voted.
  • There is at not more than 3 commissioners to be appointed
  • It will not leave the commissioners team with less than 1 commissioner.
  • A commissioner's term may not last longer than 2 years but this may be extended by the community not more than 3 months before it is due to expire.

Revocation[edit source]

The same clause as for directors applies here.

Nomination of Directors[edit source]

A director's nomination can be requested under article 17.b.ii when:

  • A user has the support of 80% of at least 25 users for a two year term.

OR

  • A user has the support of 75% of not less than 20 users and not more than 25 users for a one year term.

The user must meet the requirements of Article 17 of the AoI and be willing to sign legal documents including NDAs as well as have their personal information published online in accordance with UK government guidelines

Eligibility of a Director[edit source]

In order to be eligible for nomination, a user must meet the following requirements:

  • The user's global (SUL) account must be at least six months old from the time of voting
  • The user must have at least 60 global edits or log actions
  • The user must have a level of activity that is acceptable by the community
  • The user must be in good global standing (no CoCC determined violations)

Revocation (Directors)[edit source]

In addition to the reasons specified in article 18. The community may send a request for a resolution to remove a director under article 18.g when:

  • At least 20 users have voted
  • There is more than 50% support for removal
  • A valid reason is provided for removal
  • All votes must include a clear, justifiable reason.

Eligibility to vote[edit source]

  • You must be a registered user (as defined below) before any community director related vote starts to be eligible to vote.

Length of director related votes & elections[edit source]

  • Any community held vote must last not more than 28 days.
  • A vote may only be closed once it reaches the 28 day mark as defined above or when 48 hours have passed since the vote reached the support level and it has remained at a support level since continuously.
