Untitled[edit source]

Hey mirahezians,
It seems the "request for adoption" button isn't working--it won't allow me to edit the page.

Hi there mirahezians,

I can't really seem to get the request for adoption button working and instead get redirected towards the source of the page (See Picture).

Thanks y'all

Can you adopt a wiki that's not closed?[edit source]

I want to adopt the Terrible Niche Audience Shows Wiki so I can make some adjustments. Things like the video and comments don't work because the settings aren't enabled. SpongeBobFan99 (talk) 23:13, 25 February 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

SpongeBobFan99 No, unfortunately, only closed wikis can be adopted. You can, however, request a Steward to perform certain (usually minor) changes if there are no active bureaucrats. Generally, though, what you can do is instead hold a local election, following these guidelines, and request a Steward assess your election when your election concludes (usually after a week or so). Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 23:16, 25 February 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Currently appears to be impossible to request reopening[edit source]

Hi all,

It appears that requesting the reopening of a wiki is currently impossible. The page, having been moved on 30 March, is edit-protected, which conflicts with the method by which reopening requests are appended to the page.

I may be misinterpreting this; it may simply be an issue of permissions - a new account like mine might not be authorised to make such requests. If so, what conditions must be met to allow for this? EvilScientist3 (talk) 21:34, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@EvilScientist3: Current protection levels are set to autoconfirmed. I have added you as a confirmed user to mitigate that, and you should be able to request now. BrandonWM (talkcontributionsglobalrights) 21:46, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
