Add[edit source]

Can you add pixel for logo or favicon and file should be .ico for favicon. TriX (talk) 08:10, 5 June 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Neither are requirements. While recommended, the favicon can be png, svg etc. and the logo can by dimension (it can be rescaled). John (talk) 10:08, 5 June 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Could you add a custom logo to sterbalfamilyrecipes ?[edit source]

I've added the file, Logo-135x135.jpg to the wiki, sterbalfamilyrecipes and I am requesting that it be made the logo for the wiki.

Rsterbal (talk) 01:08, 23 October 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thoose requests should not go here. They should go on Phabricator. MacFan4000 (talk) 01:17, 23 October 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please add support for full page-wide graphics/logos in wikis with this extension[edit source]

Please add a link to opt out of site notices[edit source]

I'd like to document how to opt out of site notices. Can someone detail how to complete this form properly?: Rsterbal (talk) 11:49, 3 November 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Features before or after wiki creation?[edit source]

I have made several requests for features of a new proposed wiki: User:Mikael Häggström/Radviser (proposed here). Is it better that I let the wiki be created first, and then request them at Phabricator, or is it better that they are made in the process of wiki creation? Wiki request, add my own logo and add gadgets[edit source]

Hi. Can you create a new wiki site for me? It's Called Wikipedia. How can I change my logo on my wiki site? And can I have a gadgets options in my preferences? Louise3 (talk) 10:37, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Louise3: Please read the page. You can change them with Special:ManageWiki on your wiki. For settings that are not available there they must be requested via Phabricator. If you want a new wiki, please request at Special:RequestWiki, or do you want a rename? Reception123 (talk) (C) 10:41, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yes, I'd like my site changed from Knowledge Box to Wikipedia with the Wikipedia logo. It'll be a new Wikipedia that's not unreliable. My wiki site is at: Louise3 (talk) 10:43, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Louis3: I do not think that the Wikipedia logo is possible due to copyright/trademark. I will need to consult with other members of the staff about the name as well. Reception123 (talk) (C) 10:56, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@User talk:Reception123 Okay, how about the title Mikipedia and with a brain logo? And my name is Louise, not Louis. Louise with a 3. I am a woman. Louise3 (talk) 11:12, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

add "template styles" extension for TestWiki[edit source]

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ptwcris (talkcontribs)

@Ptwcris: Please request that locally on testwiki. Reception123 (talk) (C) 20:31, 21 February 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Reception123: ok, but the special page for managing extensions there redirects requests here as you can see trough their page. --Ptwcris (talk) 01:24, 22 February 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Ptwcris: That redirects people here in the case that an extension does not already exist on the list, but TemplateStyles is already installed and can be enabled on TestWiki. To save time, I will just enable it now temporarily. Please tell me when you are done testing so it can be removed. Reception123 (talk) (C) 07:26, 22 February 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

mw.hook('nonciclopedia.ready') not working[edit source]

Hi, I am a normal user (not admin) from Nonciclopedia. I wish to test some features that are not backported from the old site in my own common.js. Unfortunately, i've seen mw.hook('nonciclopedia.ready') not working. What is the trigger when the site is ready? Is this the place for technical questions?--Succuwara (talk) 07:16, 18 August 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wikibase (Client)[edit source]

Hello! I have a wiki I created page template:website (шаблон:сайт) but it has an error "Lua error in Module: Wikidata on line 186: attempt to index field 'wikibase' (a nil value)". I think I need to activate Wikibase (Client) extension but it writes Requires: Permissions - managewiki-restricted. If you can please activate it. If I need another actions — please tell me. --Kwack (talk) 18:11, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

This is the wrong place for this (it belongs on Phabricator... however I can tell you that WikiBase Client is currently restricted on all wikis due to an ongoing bug that has not yet been fixed. Amanda Catherine (talk) 21:29, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

they have the same problem, they don't have the translate label, that's why in the Spanish translation, the translation is not displayed correctly (I assume that in other languages the same thing happens)
Sorry for not having seen this problem before and doing double work.

Can you please add PinStructuredDiscussions?[edit source]

There is a discussion in my wiki that should be at the top of the talk page no matter what but I don't want other discussions overshadowing it. Think of PinStructuredDiscussions as Pinning youtube comments --PowerDagger15 (talk) 15:28, 15 June 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Also only admins should pin discussions --PowerDagger15 (talk) 15:51, 15 June 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

So when will this get a response?

Please read the page and request it on Phabricator. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (on) 07:01, 20 June 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Grammar[edit source]

"...enabling/disabling theses is restricted..." should be "...enabling/disabling these is restricted..." Ambassador J (talk) 17:43, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks for the correction, I've modified it to reflect the correct grammar. Reception123 (talk) (C) 17:44, 21 August 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I dont see an option for it, please help? River2380 is halal (talk) 20:14, 7 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If I'm not mistaken, the extension you are talking about, WikiForums, was disabled due to a security vulnerability, per Phabricator Task 9759. --Zeus (talk|contribs|accounts|email) 21:11, 7 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

does this exist?[edit source]

Sometimes I want to say the same thing in two different pages on my wiki. I don't want to create a template. I just want a wiki shortcut that lets me say something on one page and then have the same content on another page.

so for a made-up example maybe i have a page about apples and another about oranges. On the apple page in a section labeled overview, I say "this grows on a fruit tree. it is very popular at the grocery store. it tastes sweetest when fully ripe." and then on the oranges page I click on something that lets me pull all that content from apples#overview. And if I change something in that section at apples or oranges, it makes the change in the other location.

Does something like this exist? This would be really useful for me. Angelyork (talk) 19:07, 8 January 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
