hello? JenzyElizabethRoselette (talk) 03:23, 19 August 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hi @JenzyElizabethRoselette:,
  • Most of the following options can be found on the side panel on the left side.
  • Meta is the main wiki where you can ask questions. However, Talk pages generally refers to communicating only about the page topic. eg Main Page talk is about the Main Page, changing the look of Main Page, what should go on the Main Page. Meta or Main page or Miraheze all point to the Main page called Miraheze.
  • For information, Community noticeboard is a good place to start posting questions. Other places to communicate are listed at the Help center, eg: Discord.

how to translate a page[edit source]

How to translte and post the translation. Segugio (talk) 19:35, 22 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

(I'm guessing for MH Meta) You go up to the top of the page, on the version of the page you are translating, and it should say "translate" instead of Edit/Edit Source. The English and the language you are translating to should be lined up paragraph by paragraph. You will then click on each section and translate it that way. Hope this helps! I have a person asking for administratorship but i dont know how to give him it. please help WalesGuy (talk) 19:49, 27 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You can change a users permission at Special:UserRights, insert their username and then you can modify their rights. Alternatively, you'll find a link for their user rights on their contributions page. -- Original Authority (talk) 20:04, 27 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Change the text color for the header[edit source]

The contrast is too low Collei (talk) (contribs) 04:26, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Of....what page. BrandonWM (talkcontributionsglobalrights) 04:43, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm on the talk page of the main page for a reason. The white text is low contrast:

Miraheze main page[edit source]

Could admins move this page to Talk:Miraheze Meta as main page has been moved? Also could admins readd list of wikis to main page? Silicona (talk) 20:29, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Main Page is broken on Chrome 81[edit source]

The Main Page is broken on Chrome 81, which is the last Chrome version for Android 4.4 KitKat. Can admins fix the main page, preferably using grid format. Silicona (talk) 14:57, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Just curious. I don't have Chrome 81. In what way is Main Page broken?

Looking at main page, it uses display: revert, which is not supported in Chrome 81. Here's a screenshot:

I made a ticket for the issue: T12060
--- Imamy (talk) 22:05, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
This really isn't a Phorge issue. I'll bring this up in discord ╚pixDeVl╝ (Talk Contributions CentralAuth) 22:25, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Unless an equivalent quick fix can be suggested that leaves the page structure the same for supported browsers, I'm not sure there's a point supporting a version which according to discord chatter ^ mediawiki itself doesn't really support at this point. --raidarr (💬) 22:53, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I found an answer: replacing display: revert; with display: table-cell;. So it should look much better and cleaner on Chrome 81. Android KitKat users will be happy about this change. Silicona (talk) 12:00, 22 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

"Welcome to Miraheze Meta" background is not full-width under the Citizen skin[edit source]

The "Welcome to Miraheze Meta" gradient background only extends for as long as the text; this is because Citizen automatically adds "max-width: max-content" for all tables. This can be fixed by adding "max-width: 100%" for that table. BlankEclair (talk) 07:48, 31 May 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
