Happy birthday and thank you, Miraheze![edit source]

Happy Birthday/Anniversary! (I completely forgot about this, until I saw the button 'Hosted by Miraheze' changed to 'Miraheze 7 years', and then I saw this page in new pages).

I made a wiki about softwares and OSes on Fandom, but I displease with excessive caps/restrictions (e.g. Large number of system messages’ super protection, batch deletion restriction, Revision Deletion limitation, etc. i.e. these are staff only feature), the ads and CC-BY-SA licencing, knowing that I wanted to save my wiki and all my hard work, I exported the wiki, as well as some images in my wiki.

And then, I want to close my original wiki in Fandom since I am extremely unsatisfied for it, however, Fandom Staffs rejected my wiki close request since Fandom wikis cannot close (if there are more than 10 articles), except special situations.

With this, I am very disappointed with Fandom, thinking that it pays less and less attention to user experience, and thinks awesome, like Baidu Baike.

So, I moved it to a Miraheze hosting site, that has no ads, can close a wiki at any time, and can change license and all sysmsg, Also, and thanks to the great job done by the team, Miraheze is growing and getting even better!

Congratulations, everyone!

Miraheze changes my life[edit source]

I'm not exaggerating - Yeah it's true.

Before coming to Miraheze, I'm looking for a place to exchange knowledge. At that tine I'm worring my edits on another wiki would lose - until I met Miraheze. The kind volunteers, unlimited access and of course, free/libre atmosphere impressed me a lot.

At Miraheze's 7th birthday, I would like to extend my greatest thanks to all "mirahezists" - We have made a successful, sustainable community with everyone's efforts! GT610 (talk) 05:03, 22 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Miraheze is a platform like no other[edit source]

In the almost three years I've been with Miraheze, I've had a great time. I've used other wiki farms like Fandom and ShoutWiki, but I would pick Miraheze over all of them. I hope Miraheze lasts seven more years. Tali64³ (talk) 17:23, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wish Miraheze comments had upvotes; I'd second that in a heartbeat. (If there are any extensions for that function, I'll look around.) --Routhwick (talk) 18:50, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Miraheze gave me the means to achieve my ambitions[edit source]

I joined Miraheze a year ago, after my big disappointment that was Fandom.
In spite of an interface less "easy" than Fandom to which I had a hard time to get used to, I discovered little by little a rich site, full of possibilities and assets. I created a wiki, I flourished thanks to the help of generous contributors who helped me to progress, and I continue to appreciate Miraheze today
Happy birthday Miraheze, and thank you. Hopefully you will continue for many more years. Darkrai18 (talk) 20:22, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Congratulations and thank you![edit source]

Congrats on the birthday and thank you for running this excellent service as a non-profit. Wikis in general are digital commons, and they deserve hosting service that is dedicated to the shared online commons, like Miraheze is. I'm sure it is often a frustrating and thankless task to keep the wiki farm running, but your work is important, and very much appreciated. Cheers! 21x (talk) 20:43, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Congratulations me too. --Nozder (talk) 07:20, 24 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
