Great 1st year[edit source]

I wish I knew you guys better. You have done a remarkable job with this site!

It seems like plans are on the way to improve the resilience and grow site.

I hope we all consider contributing to that effort.

Ad free, open, transparent and well run sites on the web are a rarity, and we should so happy for the guys who have put this place together.

Thank you!

Congratulations![edit source]

I just wanted to say a very big thank you to everyone involved at Miraheze for setting up my wiki, adding a new skin and making a few minor changes so that my wiki looks the way I like it.

I am a newbie here, having only been here a couple of weeks so far, but I'm not a newbie to Mediawiki. Whilst I am not a programmer / software developer, I have enjoyed working with Mediawiki in the past, namely writing articles and playing around with basic templates. When I wanted to start afresh with my own wiki (as my old one had been somewhat neglected) I wanted a service that would updated the software and extensions automatically. Miraheze started ticking all the right boxes straight away. The icing on the cake was knowing that Miraheze does not using advertising...Even better. This was perfect for me and I new from that point on I wanted to start my new wiki with Miraheze.

Having made a few posts on the Stewards' noticeboard, Southparkfan's and Reception123's talk pages, I knew I was in very capable hands. Just looking around Meta it is clear all those involved with the day to day running of things know what they are doing. You guys are great and do a sterling job in keeping things ticking over nicely. I hope to get to know you all a little better of the coming months as I continue to work on my own wiki, which, as a solo project will take me years!

Thanks again for all your excellent work. Here's to many more years of Miraheze! Borderman  talk | contribs | email 14:19, 22 July 2016 (UTC)

Thank you, Miraheze[edit source]

I made a wiki about a few worlds of mine, on Wikia, but displeasure with the ads and CC-BY-SA licencing, I moved it to a second wiki hosting site, that messed up as it had to many pages on it. So I moved it to MWzip and believed that would be the wikis's final home, but around a few weeks before this post, MWzip closed, and the server for it is paid up to October 2016, and will remain online until then. Knowing that I wanted to save my wiki and all my hard work, I exported the wiki as around 6 diffident XDML files and saved the images.

I looked to a few sites to moved it to and I decided on moving it to this one. I moved the pages to it on 11th July 2016 and made all the categories on the 12th of July 2016. This site is ideal is it is free and it has no ads, unlike most free wiki sites. I hope for this site to stay online, as I do not wish to have to move my 400 or more page wiki again. I thank John Lewis, Southparkfan, Justin "NDKilla", Reception123, Brent Laabs, TriX, SleepyMode, Sammy, XOF and the most, Cörey, whom made my wiki.

I hope Mirizee stands for many more years and grows well. May luck be with the staff here. Good luck and happy editing!
