Extensions that store PII

Some extensions that store PII include:

• Checkuser (obvious)
• AbuseFilter: It is possible to access IP addresses of people who hit an abuse filter. This information is stored on the abuse_filter_log table, on the afl_ip field. The permission for on-wiki access is (abusefilter-privatedetails), granted only to checkusers in Miraheze.
• Moderation: It stores user-agent and X-Forwarded-For headers and IP addresses in the moderation table, fields mod_ip, mod_header_xff, mod_header_ua. Accessing this data on-wiki requires the Checkuser extension and the (moderation-checkuser) permission, granted only to checkusers.

Yes, it was. Looks like you were trying to compile a list of those extensions, so I suggested some that I know for sure store it. But if you already have it then I guess there's no need to add anything. OrangeStar (talk) 14:12, 25 October 2022 (UTC)

We know what extensions store PII but no one's had time to update this page unfortunately. You can see a list of tables that our RemovePII script deletes here on our GitHub.
