Despite resigning from Sysadmin, I've wrote most of the policy surrounding Community Directors and will be happy to help get it implemented. I've worked closely with Owen to get this through and legally sound as soon as possible. I have no intention of becoming part of the Board anytime soon. I think I'll be able to manage the workload and trust the staff team and board to assist with the election. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (on) 18:59, 2 December 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Zippix lost his election to the Code of Conduct Commission in part over the ExamKnow RfC. What makes you think you'll fiar better? ~ El Komodos Drago (talk to me) 19:42, 4 December 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
My close involvement with the board to design this process means I have the ability to provide support well due to my understanding of the process and my communication ability with the board means we can carry the process out efficiently. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (on) 15:55, 5 December 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Question for all candidates[edit source]

I am reminded of a Wizard of Id cartoon strip that is almost as old as I am. What are your plans and your proposed timeline to transfer full control of the finances, assets, contracts, and liabilities of Miraheze to Miraheze Ltd.? --Robkelk (founding admin at poserdazfreebies) (talk) 01:50, 15 December 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

(non-candidate response) @Robkelk: Hi, just on a procedural note, this election is for the people who will run and manage the election of Community Directors per the responsibilities, and not the Community Directors themselves. On the question presented, it is my understanding that Miraheze Limited was previously not in a position to be able to transfer assets in late November/early December. However, are now in a position to. Labster has made it clear it is his position that he does not wish to transfer the assets - this is not a decision which has been made by Miraheze or Miraheze Limited. If you wish to have direct clarification from the existing Board themselves, you can email board@miraheze.org. It is my personal view that this transfer should happen as soon as possible and it is further my understanding the issue preventing this happening in a timely manner is not Miraheze Limited currently. This comment is made using information I have in my role as a System Administrator but does not reflect Miraheze in an official capacity. John (talk) 02:05, 15 December 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
This is my understanding of the situation as well. Paladox (talk) 02:09, 15 December 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ah, one election too soon. Please save the question for the Board election, then. (And my question wasn't about the current state or Labster; it was about what plans each member of the new Board have.) --Robkelk (talk) 16:16, 15 December 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Why is a proposed timeline necessary though when the current timeline is “when ever Labster agrees to do it, it will happen”. I’m unsure of how any individual board member can have any impact beyond the current situation. Though you may be assessing something entirely separate to the matter at hand. Hello, to clarify the official position of Miraheze Limited; Our proposed timeline was we would be ready and able to take over the control of Miraheze's assets and financial/legal responsibility once we were fully in compliance with financial regulations. Namely, registered for Tax and have a separately controlled bank account under the companies name. This was agreed in time before incorporation and this was appropriately communicated to all it would affect. I communicated to Labster earlier this week that we are now in a position to take control of the assets - however from late November he made it clear he was not willing to co-operate with us because I was not able to apply for and get a bank account in less than a week - keep in mind the average length of opening a business account ranges from 2 weeks to 4 weeks depending on the bank. For Miraheze Limited, this took 3 weeks to complete. Therefore to avoid doubt, Miraheze Limited's timeline right now is, "We are awaiting Labster to begin the transfer of assets. There is nothing preventing us from recieving or controlling the assets at this time and hasn't since December 9th 2019.". Owen (talk) 21:05, 15 December 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
ElectCom is not resonsible for the Miraheze Ltd.'s business, we only look after the election to elect the board member of Miraheze Ltd. So, my answer is, "You asked the question to the wrong people, so there is nothing to answer". (Well, of course, I don't know anything about Miraheze Ltd.'s daily business materials) — revi 17:41, 15 December 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
