My friend YashiMC lost access to his acccount along with his wiki

So recently my friend YashiYC lost access to his wiki:,_fellow_member_of_the_community. , his old laptop broke down and he forgot the password he used to log on his account, the email he used for his miraheze account was also a temporary email so he can't ask for a password reset either. Before he lost access to his account though he gave me admin and bureaucrat perms. Is there anyway that the wiki ownership can be transferred from his account to mine? Happy Days (talk) 04:28, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

I might be wrong here, but bureaucrat is basically owner I think Anpang Talk 04:55, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
There is no 'wiki owner' on Miraheze. Bureaucrat and admin, along with any local policies and convention are what set local management. You have everything you need to assume control. Ideally though, you make a local post to explain the situation as best as possible so it is not weird and appears to be a coup to anyone who is present in the community. --Raidarr (talk) 10:17, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
Happy Days If your friend has no access to their recovery e-mail address for their user account and there are no other bureaucrats on that wiki, and they do not have an alternate account which they've confirmed on-wiki as their alternate account, they will need to complete a local permissions election on the wiki, following these guidelines, then return to this noticeboard when the local process has concluded. Dmehus (talk) 16:13, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
Happy Days It looks like you're already a bureaucrat on this wiki, so you have the capabilities to grant the additional permissions to any newly created user account for your friend. If your friend wants their old username back, they can post a note here requesting to usurp the former username. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 16:16, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Edit rights on nfcwiki was reopened per Lesogorec's adoption request but turns out that editing of the wiki is restricted only to Verified users group (so previous bureaucrat is the only one who can edit pages on the wiki). I ask you to make that other users could create and edit pages on the wiki so we can have local elections and keep writing articles. WerySkok (talk) 15:50, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

I support this request. Lesogorec (talk) 15:58, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
WerySkok and Lesogorec Thank you for identifying this issue. Since the wiki has no recently active local administrators, there were a couple options here. One of which could've been inviting users to attend stewards' noticeboard to request the "verified users" local user group from Stewards in absence of locally available administration, and the other of which would be to grant the edit user right to the user group. As this wiki generally does not have a recently active community, nevermind administrators, the former seemed to be a bit problematic from the standpoint of future permissions requests in that only those users who'd requested the verified users group via this noticeboard would be able to participate any such local discussions. So, I've  added the edit user right to this user user group. If there any other permissions you require below sysop not requiring an election or any other ManageWiki configuration/extension changes, in order to develop this wiki, please start a new thread on stewards' noticeboard. Thank you Dmehus (talk) 16:06, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, about that. Looks like I don't have right to create pages, even in the main namespace. Can you add this right too? WerySkok (talk) 16:29, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
WerySkok That also seems reasonable. Do you want me just to reset the user permissions to the default user group permissions, so that your wiki can have a further local discussion with respect to user groups that exist on the wiki? Dmehus (talk) 16:35, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
I think that would be reasonable so yes, that would be helpful. WerySkok (talk) 16:39, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
WerySkok, This should be  done now. Dmehus (talk) 16:53, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Dormancy Exemption - Hypothetical Hurricanes Wiki

Hello I would like to request a dormancy exemption for as this wiki as of the time of writing has over 13,000 pages and I am working with another user uploading all the images currently. I believe a wiki of this size and potential activity should warrant an inactivity exemption. Thank you in advance. Hypercane (talk) 07:30, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Hypercane, thank you for your request for an exemption to our Dormancy Policy, originally made via IRC, which I've now reviewed and assessed. That's great you're working on importing images still—it's important work, but can be time-consuming. We typically assess requests on a two-part basis, one being sufficient quality content made to be read by real human beings and the other being need—a wiki with a very activity community of users would not need an exemption. In your case, the first part is easily met, having migrated existing content from the Fandom wiki version, with some 13,000 (or so) quality and substantive pages. In terms of need, this is also met, as your Miraheze community is still small and has few active contributors. Thus, I've  granted this request indefinitely, but please do note that this is not a permanent exemption, and should your wiki's activity change that it no longer needs an inactivity exemption, this can be removed. Additionally, you're encouraged to proactively advise us here of such circumstantial changes. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 07:37, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

An issue on mh:awesomethemeparksandattractions:Awesome Theme Parks and Attractions Wiki

For some reason, despite that I am autoconfirmed on this wiki (I have made over 10 edits and have been registered to the wiki for over 4 days) I cannot comment on pages. FatBurn0000 (talk) 09:51, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Hi there! It looks like you have not yet assigned the required comment permission to any of your user groups. You can assign this permission to your desired group by visiting Special:ManageWiki/permissions on the wiki in question and assigning comment to your desired user group. Hope this helps! dross (tcg) 10:02, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Are you sure I don't have to be a bureaucrat to do that? FatBurn0000 (talk) 21:38, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Global lock for Key-Power

He is going to make the fake Usopedia. There is evidence on this page. "偽Usopediaでも作りません?" means "Would you like to make a fake Usopedia?". This is a sabotage to Usopedia. I would like a global lock for Key-Power.--Egg (talk) 12:58, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

Egg While there is no policy to globally lock users who are making a content fork, these forks (if on Miraheze) must abide by the Content Policy. One of the provisions of it states "A wiki must not create problems which make it difficult for other wikis" which includes making a content fork with little to no attempts to meditate any issues with the original community. Agent Isai Talk to me! 13:06, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
I will examine this more closely, Egg. Another user from that wiki, who is a wiki creator but whose username uses a non-English script so can't easily copy/paste due to technical issues with my Vivaldi web browser, reported this user for potential abuse of multiple accounts and crosswiki vandalism. That investigation has largely been completed, but has been pended for consultation with other Stewards. Dmehus (talk) 00:43, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
S/he was determined by Usopedia to be a ロープTA sock puppet and was blocked indefinitely. The rationale is described below.
  • Uncyclopedia's CheckUser proved that the user named "風呂ックス" who was active in Japanese Uncyclopedia was the same as Uncyclopedia's ロープTA (CheckUser request page in Uncyclopedia).
  • 風呂ックス suggested in Japanese Uncyclopedia that it was the same as Miraheze's account "Key-Power" (My talk page in Uncyclopedia has the description "どれだけPowerをかけても壊れなさそうなKeyをどうぞ! {English: Please have a Key that will not break no matter how much power you apply!}", which contains the words "Key" and "Power").
  • In other words, ロープTA = Japanese Uncyclopedia's 風呂ックス = Miraheze's Key-Power.
Therefore, we will request global lock for each of the following accounts, assuming that they are abuses using sock puppets.
--SchwarzTalk / ウソペディア 05:43, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
Schwarz, apologies for no {{ping}}. I'm not sure if this was a Vivaldi web browser change or what, but I can't seem to copy and paste your username without it pasting the unicode equivalents. At any rate, I appreciate your follow up, and for the additional details. I need to refresh my memory on this, and will aim to have this resolved this week. Dmehus (talk) 05:56, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
Schwarz, the users you've identified have been  locked in accordance with user accounts policy, per their obvious attempts to use their accounts for deceptive and/or nefarious purposes (i.e., to vandalize or otherwise disrupt local wikis). If you identify accounts operating in a similar fashion, or have specific wikis this user, or their socks, has created that we should be paying particular attention to, please do follow up here, whether in this thread or a new thread (if it's archived). Dmehus (talk) 07:37, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Thank you for your support. When a block or other disposition is imposed, this user tends to be upset against the user who made the disposition or the user who is hostile to him. Therefore, s/he may break the block or destroy the wiki again. Therefore, if similar users or similar behaviors are confirmed again in the future, I will promptly report.--SchwarzTalk / ウソペディア 08:21, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

Requests for reopening wikis

There appears to be a problem going on with this page and its archives. Multiple requests keep getting archived despite not being finished. For example,,,,,,,,,, and were all archived at Requests for reopening wikis/Archive 8 despite not being looked at. Also, and were marked as not done, but they had received responses by the requester that were ignored. Could someone please have a look at this? Thanks, FatBurn0000 (talk) 11:11, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Archival is occurring as an automatic process, but the Stewards are simply incapable of keeping up in pace to both review previous entries comprehensively and keep up with new ones in a timely manner. There are two answers here, fixing bot to accommodate the status or fixing the pace particularly given a new hand on deck... --Raidarr (talk) 11:58, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
I have responded to all current requests. With regards to archived in progress ones dating from month than a month ago - if the requester still wishes to have the request reviewed, they are more than welcome to re-make the request to show continued interest in re-opening the relevant wikis. John (talk) 13:22, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for the reviews, as well as additional steps to review the system in general as I notice in Recent Changes. --Raidarr (talk) 15:01, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

And what about the wrongfully archived discussions? FatBurn0000 (talk) 06:07, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

Request for revoke globalblock-whitelist permission on local wiki

The globalblock-whitelist permission can be granted using the ManageWiki on the local wiki. As a result, User:Key-Power, who is requested to have a global lock on this page, is trying to break the block by invalidating the global lock of his IP address on the mh:jpbankwiki: (at that time, a global lock request was issued. Immediately after it was done). Therefore, I request that the globalblock-whitelist permission cannot be granted locally. SchwarzTalk / ウソペディア 05:17, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

Schwarz, while I do agree that there are few legitimate reasons for this user right, I do think this would need a global community discussion that assess those likely few legitimate use cases and weighs them against reasons for limiting this user right to Stewards. In any case, I also feel this isn't the right approach in this case. The global block can instead be reenabled on this wiki, to prevent further abuse. I'm keeping an eye on this wiki, and related wikis, created by the user you've identified. As you've been monitoring this user's crosswiki behaviour and editing fairly closely, any additional wikis we should be monitoring would be helpful. Dmehus (talk) 07:22, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus Thank you for your support. At this time I am not aware of any other wikis or users that need to be monitored. However, if similar users appear in the future, I will keep you informed.--SchwarzTalk / ウソペディア 08:17, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

Can you please reopen these wikis?

Can you please reopen these wikis? That's the things. MarioBobFan (talk) 23:25, 20 October 2021 (UTC)

None of these require Steward involvement, at least through the noticeboard. The toy wikis were manually closed by a request for comment process on the central Qualitipedia area. Admittedly I'm not sure why they were made actually private and a proper notice was not placed on them as I recommended at the time. However, per the link I outline above you may request to adopt them as a wiki normally would be or contact DarkMatterMan4500 if you want to take administrative responsibility. The first lego wiki is not closed. The second appears locked by genuine inactivity, but based on its list of staff you would be able to contact the user JrStudios, who is very active on other reception wikis and would be able to assist you with this. Alternatively you could start the adoptions process with it. Raidarr (talk) 01:22, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
MarioBobFan, I'll take a look at this request tomorrow. From the linked local RfC, I'm seeing users having mixed feelings on closing the wikis, or to "cutting them loose" from the Qualitipedia wikis. Given there was no consensus for closing the wikis, reopening these wikis is reasonable, and given that DarkMatterMan4500 has locally expressed a view to either close them or cut them loose, that is, arguably, his de facto abdication of any role in the wiki. So, it seems to me what needs to happen is for the wikis to be reopened, and for me to invite remaining contributors to the wiki to put their names forward for the remaining community's consideration for election. Dmehus (talk) 04:46, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
Fantastic LEGO Sets Wiki is still open, and plus, the toy reception wikis were closed for a reason. I'm unsure why GLSW was closed, in fact, if you ask me, they actually have potential unlike the toy wikis, as their toys are probably easier to make pages on than other toys. FatBurn0000 (talk) 08:02, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
User:Dmehus and FatBurn0000;GLSW was timed out from inactivity most likely. The Toy wikis were not closed in a way that prohibits re-opening by invested users, in fact the linked Request for Comment and the summary provided above indicate that interested parties can still adopt and reopen them if they wish. They were simply closed in addition to cutting off from QP because nobody, including their current most active members who I went out of my way to contact, wanted to a) do anything with them or b) take administrative responsibility by adopting them. So they were closed until such a time someone proved they had the interest to actually give them a shot, which wasn't really proven in their lifespan previously. It's worth noting that there is only one case here of 'mixed feelings' to close the Toy wikis, and previously there was a snowball against their continued operation again by the aforementioned RfC. The oppositions largely lacked any actual contribution to the wikis they were defending and only opposed on principle they 'could be useful', not with any apparent intent of actually addressing the concerns of their operation. --Raidarr (talk) 12:32, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus I could re-open them at a reasonable request, so, if I do see the next one, I will probably re-open given that I'm a bureaucrat of that wiki. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 10:31, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
DarkMatterMan4500 That's up to you, but did you have a discussion with other contributors or bureaucrats on that wiki to close them? If so, then I'd recommend discussing with those parties first before reopening. Also, if you can link me to the discussion, that'd be great, too. Dmehus (talk) 02:25, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus Why yes, there was a mention of closing the wikis as part of this RfC on Qualitipedia Central. I'd be more than inclined to re-open it if people vote for it to be re-opened. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 02:30, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
DarkMatterMan4500 Thank you for that, and for saying they're part of that the included scope of wikis to either cut loose or close. I would personally recommend closing that discussion. If you and other bureaucrats are not comfortable reading the consensus of the discussion, or your local policies or conventions preclude involved closures, I'd be most happy to assess that consensus and close that discussion for you. From my initial read, there's a clear/strong consensus against retaining the wikis as Qualitipedia wikis. There's not a clear consensus as to whether there's a preference to close or cut loose the wikis, so that's within the closing bureaucrat's discretion, unless local policies preclude that, or it would fall to existing bureaucrats, presumably as part of some sort of 'crat chat, to determine how to administratively effect the outcome of the RfC. If you do opt to administratively cut loose the wikis instead of closing them, arguably, that then becomes a new wiki, and so there should be some sort of new discussion for the prior community contributors to the wiki to decide to the initial team of bureaucrats, administrators, etc., and what the requirements are for those team members to be elected, removed, or how they may be removed (i.e., by local bureaucrat or, as is preferred, by Steward). So those are the sort of procedural/administrative things you and your team need to decide as part of that RfC's closure. If Stewards' assistance is requested in some way, whether to close the RfC or administratively remove bureaucrat rights or reopen the wiki(s) to allow a new community formation discussion to get underway, we're happy to assist, but as of this point, the ball is in your court, so to speak. :) Dmehus (talk) 15:51, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus The discussion was already closed awhile back. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 20:40, 7 November 2021 (UTC)

Just a question

How do you merge wikis? FatBurn0000 (talk) 19:54, 10 November 2021 (UTC)

FatBurn0000, Thank you for your question. There isn't an easy one-click way to merge a wiki, but rather, what you can do is, using the Special:DataDump, then, on your new wiki, create a separate namespace, perhaps bearing the name of the merged wiki for convenience, and file a Phabricator ticket for SRE to import the XML dump you generated into that newly created namespace on your new wiki. Once that's done, you can then move the pages, without a leaving a redirect, out of the temporary namespace into your new wiki's main, project, and other relevant namespaces. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 08:01, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

@Dmehus: When you say "new wiki", do you mean the wiki that the other wiki is going to be merged into, or do you mean the wiki that is going to merge into the other one? FatBurn0000 (talk) 09:03, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

FatBurn0000 Good question. It could be a brand new wiki, or just a surviving wiki that shares a similar purpose and broad scope to the wiki you're seeking to merge. Essentially, the merged wiki would be better to refer to as the merging wiki (i.e., the one you intend to delete once the merge is finalized) and the merging wiki is the other wiki/new wiki to which the merging wiki would be merged into. Hope that clarifies. Dmehus (talk) 16:26, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

@Dmehus: Sorry I'm replying to this so late, but what are the required permissions to merge a wiki? FatBurn0000 (talk) 23:03, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

CheckUser Request

Recently, a user named mh:freshwebsites:BraceletyFan77 was blocked by me on the Fresh Websites Wiki for comparing Wikipedia similarly to the Nazis, as well as making ranty and unhelpful edits. Some time after the user's block, a new account called mh:freshwebsites:LionCooler was created to tell me something related to the block on my talk page. My talk page was the only edits said user made, and there has been evidence to support that this is indeed a sockpuppetry case, such as a username that seems to mock my own and that the account seems to be made just to defend BraceletyFan. However, on their talk page, BraceletyFan77 claims that they are not the same person and told me to do a CheckUser request, stating that their IP addresses are different. While this does bring me suspicions said user is using a different computer or device to edit, I would still like a CheckUser request to see if these two accounts are indeed not the same IP address. TigerBlazer (talk) 16:07, 18 November 2021 (UTC)

TigerBlazer Could you please link to where on freshwebsiteswiki LionCooler edited in a similar fashion to BraceletyFan77, or otherwise provided some sort of behavioural or circumstantial connection that the pair of users are likely to be related to each other? Thank you. (For clarity, I have seen the user talk page comments, and am not seeing anything that comes close enough to being a confession. Even if there were such evidence, this would, in my view, be a good-faith local appeal of the local block of their main account, if they made no edits with the alternative account outside of the appeal on their or your user talk page and did so because the user talk page on the main account had been revoked [and not revoked with good cause, such as repetitive, frivolous, and/or vexatious appeals]. This is precisely why we recommend not revoking user talk page access with all local blocks. :)) Dmehus (talk) 20:09, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus I could provide some context here: LionCooler suddenly came to TigerBlazer's user talk page just to say something about Godwin's Law, and I basically asked LionCooler how they knew TigerBlazer, which raises this question: If he didn't know TigerBlazer, then why would he suddenly write on his talk page regarding that topic, which BraceletyFan77 compared Wikipedia to that of nazis? BraceletyFan77 was blocked shortly after that, and that's when LionCooler appeared. Does that help clarify things here? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 20:26, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
Oh yeah, can't forget that BraceletyFan77 even asked for a Steward to do a CheckUser on him from his talk page. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 20:28, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
DarkMatterMan4500 Thank for your reply. I have seen the edits you referenced. While I agree they're a tad suspicious, it's also possible the user is either (a) a returning Miraheze user under a different username or (b) a legitimate alternate account of another user, though likely someone who's been on Miraheze before. Nevertheless, as I said, even if they are related, which is possible, as their only edits were to TigerBlazer's user talk page, this would amount to a good-faith (albeit very badly formed and likely incomplete) appeal of their local block. Ideally, they should have used their main account, if they're indeed the same user, since the main account's user talk page has not been revoked, but they may not have known that. As such, I see no need for further action globally at this point. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 20:35, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus Okay, thanks for responding. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 20:43, 20 November 2021 (UTC)

Change wiki's bureaucrat for

nfcwiki has been recently reopened per Adoption request and then I held a week-long election which proposes Lesogorec to be wiki's bureaucrat and also proposes that previous bureucrat, Birevan, would lose his rights (his last edits clearly say that he left wiki and had no will to continue it). Two vandalism accounts

So I was checking up on my wiki, Absurd Shows & Episodes Wiki, and I came across two users named TBC280 and TBC230 who had been uploading random files to the wiki. I mass deleted the files and blocked both users. Judging how by both of their usernames are almost identical I am assuming they are the same person. These seem to be vandalism-only accounts as the random files they have been uploading are unrelated to the topic of the wikis. They mostly seem to have vandalized my wiki, and they have made very few edits on other wikis, which seem to be the same. One of them also made an edit here on Meta which was reverted. Can you lock these accounts. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 23:58, 21 November 2021 (UTC)

I was actually watching from this wikifarm's server, particularly on both the #miraheze-cvt-feed connect and #wiki-feed channels, and I'm not sure what Dmehus will say in response to this however. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 00:05, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
Blubabluba9990, thank you for your report of substantially similar random image upload vandalism to your absurdshowsandepisodeswiki. Behaviourally and in terms of username similarity, they look very much like clear illegitimate sockpuppet accounts, but in other terms, this is inconclusive. So the question becomes: are they vandalism only accounts? More or less, yes, but it's one wiki and the vandalism could conceivably be good-faith in the sense that they may not understand your wiki's scope. I would instead suggest providing each user a firm warning on each of their user talk and pages, guiding them to your wiki's scope and established local editing norms, conventions, and policies, as well as too user accounts policy, a global policy, and advise us here (or via a new thread, if this one is later archived) by the bot if you see similar accounts popping up and engaging in a similar fashion. This may provide for more conclusivity here. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 00:34, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
@Dmehus: The images were completely unrelated to the subject of the wiki, and it seems more like deliberate vandalism rather than misunderstanding the purpose of the wiki. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 19:50, 22 November 2021 (UTC)

Change subdomain

I'm not sure if this should be put on phabricator so I put it here

I'd like to change the subdomain (and server name of course) of minecraft technical wiki from mctwiki to mcnbwiki, I'm rebranding the wiki to a wiki about minecraft noteblocks and music. The original minecraft wiki already has quite a bit of technical content. Anpang Talk 04:37, 22 November 2021 (UTC)

Anpang This is done on Phabricator, as it involves changing your wiki's database name, so SRE will need to be engaged. I will request this for you, linking to this request. Note, though, that your former subdomain will not redirect to your new subdomain. Dmehus (talk) 04:40, 22 November 2021 (UTC)

Pages on Polandball Wiki corrupted and can't be fixed

When i try to edit Polandball Wiki on some pages it gets corrupted and when i try to decorrupt them i get a message saying that adding gender to pronouns is banned

Agent Isai says that he is trying to decorrupt them from this issue but so far no issues are fixed and some pages corrupted are Polandball, Vietnamball, Japanball, and Floridaball  Tanawat2002 (talk) 19:18, 23 November 2021 (UTC)

3 accounts abusing multiple accounts and vandalizing on my wiki

Hello, so recently, 3 accounts were created on the same day at the same time on a wiki of mine, called Good Quotev Users Wiki. Here are the vandals listed below:

  • Android17
  • Deltarune
  • And I think SillyFunkyAwesome might be the same person as well, as he just came to my wiki, just to put stuff like, "I am farting and pooping" in his sandbox, and then put "I am in the toilet" as his edit summary, and all 3 accounts basically talked about that stuff.

The Deltarune account also vandalized on one of my pages (look at the revisions on the Siixer page). Can you globally lock them for abusing multiple accounts and vandalizing if you can? If not, I'm cool with that. Thanks! -- Perry The Chiweenie (talk) 18:32, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

Perry The Chiweenie Thank you for your report, and for not revoking the talk page access for the users whom you suspect of being the main account. I've  reviewed your provided report, though it is lacking in specific diffs. That being said, there were not many to look through, so I've looked through them. I agree that Android17 made one edit on the wiki that suggests the user may be related to Deltarune, but it's one edit and may have been because they weren't aware of user accounts policy or how to appeal their local block. In terms of whether Deltarune is a vandalism only account,  definitely not. Though this edit is vandalism, it's only one edit on one wiki. I would personally suggest you avoid being too quick to block new users, and instead guide them, via their user talk page and point them to your wiki's community-established local policies. You could, absolutely, accompany, that warning with a short block, if you wish, but in this way, you (a) assume good faith and (b) have a diff to later provide to Stewards, should the user continue to violate the wiki's policies or engage in vandalism/unconstructive editing. From the looks of it, the user just needs a mentor and to use edit summaries explaining their edits. As for SillyFunkyAwesome, those edits don't look related to the other two users at all, but I appreciate you've not revoked their user talk page access. I would instead suggest you guide them, like Deltarune. So marking this as a good-faith report  not done. Dmehus (talk) 05:01, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
Okay, thanks! — Perry The Chiweenie (talk) 18:15, 26 November 2021 (UTC)

Adding two ManageWiki options for Recent Changes

Hello, I have recently adopted Nintendo Wiki, and have been making various design changes, including from Special:ManageWiki. One of the things I noticed is that it doesn't allow the wiki to enable the "Use non-JavaScript interface" by default or disable "Group changes by page in recent changes and watchlist" by default. Can this be added as an option? I intend the design for Nintendo Wiki to be a throwback to classic Nintendo fansites as well as wikis, and the former would help with that. The latter is just so that the recent changes displays in chronological order.

In localsettings, the following would be added:

  • $wgDefaultUserOptions['rcenhancedfilters-disable'] = 1;
  • $wgDefaultUserOptions['usenewrc'] = 0; RMV2003 (talk) 21:06, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
RMV2003 Though this setting is unrestricted and does not require the managewiki-restricted user right, I have  done this for you per your request here at stewards' noticeboard because it is in a less than obvious place and because I want to see whether this has worked. For future reference, it is in Special:ManageWiki/settings, then the "Preferences" tab, then the $wgHiddenPrefs variable, which provides a drop-down to select various hidden preferences values (not sure what the technical term is for them). The way Universal Omega has set them up, you simply add, or remove, the preference, so I can only assume that the outcome for each preference is binary—that is to say, enabling or disabling a preference sets the value to either 0 or 1. Hopefully this worked, though. :) Dmehus (talk) 03:15, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
@Dmehus: It does not appear to have worked but has rather removed both as an option in Special:Preferences and has forced the default setting back on me (with no way of changing it back unless I remove what was added to Wghiddenprefs). RMV2003 (talk) 03:24, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
RMV2003 Okay, I suspect this is still what you will want, as this removes the ability for users to change this setting in their local preferences. So I'd recommend keeping it. That being said, I suspect what we also need to do is to set those settings for $wgDefaultUserOptions in LocalSettings.php. Are you familiar with GitHub? If so, you can submit a pull request for your wiki using GitHub. Your wiki database name is nintendowiki. The repository you want is this one. If not, let me know, and I will attempt the pull request for you. Dmehus (talk) 03:28, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Well the thing is that I wanted the older recent changes as a default. When those two tags were added it removed the option, as expected. However, what went wrong is that it forced me to use the newer recent changes design that's been around since like MediaWiki 1.34 or so, but I wanted it to set the older recent changes as the default option. Also I have heard of GitHub, but do not know how to use it. RMV2003 (talk) 03:34, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
RMV2003, okay, I'll take a look at doing a pull request for you to effect this tomorrow, if someone else hasn't already handled it by then. Dmehus (talk) 05:03, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
@Dmehus: thank you, i appreciate it RMV2003 (talk) 06:05, 26 November 2021 (UTC)

Can you delete The Wow House Wiki

A while ago, I requested the deletion of my wiki, The Fowl House Wiki, due to a lack of contributors. I would also like The Wow House Wiki to be closed, since like The Fowl House Wiki, there have been no active contributions. I requested the deletion of the FANDOM version of the wiki a while ago, and the request was accepted. I then privated and closed the wiki, and requested its deletion in the same place I requested the deletion for The Fowl House Wiki. However, this has not been done, and The Wow House Wiki continues to just sit collecting dust. So I would like you to delete it.

Here is the link to the Main Page of the wiki: The Wow House WikiBlubabluba9990 (talk) 16:52, 28 November 2021 (UTC)

I can't edit or delete the page WLHMN:Từ_điển in lhmnwiki, must be from the last task from Phabricator I have replied. Could you help me delete that page?
Pisces (talk) 05:36, 28 November 2021 (UTC)

Pisces, it looks like you need to assign the editextendedconfirmedprotected user right to your extended confirmed and administrator user groups, but I don't see where you've created an extended confirmed user group? Would you like me to recreate your extendedconfirmed user group that it looks like you may have inadvertently deleted for you? This would solve the issue. Dmehus (talk) 05:41, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
sure, why not. Pisces (talk) 07:39, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
Pisces I've done the pull request, and it's been merged. I've re-added the editextendedconfirmedprotected user right to your extendedconfirmed and sysop user groups, but I still can't edit that page. It's not immediately obvious to me why it's not working; it shouldn't need to be a implicit user group, so I doubt that's it. It could be related to ProtectSite, if that's enabled, but on the other hand, you have sysop permissions, so I doubt it. I'm a bit tired so I'm going to have Reception123 look into this when he's up. If he hasn't looked it into it in awhile, please {{ping}} me. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 05:54, 29 November 2021 (UTC)

We need to talk about Tycio. Today, he blanked my talk page on Drawn Feet Wiki and turned it into a redirect to their page for Joe Biden, for no apparent reason other than retaliation for me tagging some of his images and pages for deletion on grounds of flame bait and cropped child pornography.

As far as bringing up my concerns, Tycio has refused to engage in any form of discussion about them - ThisWas (talk) 17:34, 29 November 2021 (UTC)

@ThisWas: As mentioned on Discord, you are exhorted to send Trust and Safety an email should you suspect child pornography has been posted on a wiki. Agent Isai Talk to me! 17:43, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
"for no apparent reason other than retaliation for me tagging some of his images and pages for deletion" is incorrect.
ThisWas did not merely tag Joe Biden's page for deletion (even though there was no basis in policy for doing so)
He removed all pre-existing content from the page while adding that template.
He did the same thing here.
TW has a history blanking messages left on other user's talk pages that were not his own a year ago, and was blocked for spamming deletion tags on images. ty 10:34, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
ThisWas I would strongly caution against you making unsourced, spurious, and vexatious reports. If you have legitimate concerns of this nature, you should report them to the Trust and Safety team as Agent Isai. Looking at both your global contributions and contributions to that wiki, I'm seeing substantially all of your contributions being unconstructive and blatant vandalism, for which your local block  looks appropriate to me. I would also strongly advise you to consider adopting a more constructive approach here. As well, this seems an appropriate time to remind you of user accounts policy, and to not using multiple accounts in order to evade your local block. If local administration has revoked your user talk page access and you wish to appeal, you can contact them once, but not repeatedly, in a short span of time, via their Meta user talk page. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 10:43, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
Okay, but that does not excuse Tycio turning my talk page into a redirect for another page. Furthermore, he also added the image I had gripes about to the front page of the wiki so that it would be the first thing I saw. How is that not considered harassment? ThisWas (talk) 18:01, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
MH:DrawnFeet:Special:Diff/526963 was due to me being reminded of what a fabulous image it is and realizing that the homepage hadn't gotten any new images in a while. The glorious angle of President Biden's foot simultaneously shoves both it's underside (the sole) as well as his toes and the foot-tops. It is the perfect angle, the ultimate manifestation of our dream. The purpose of featuring it (just like why I uploaded it in the first place) was to entertain the fanbase in general and exhibit the wiki's focus. ty 08:24, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
Trust me when I say that had I not done any of the things that lead to my block, that image wouldn't be on the homepage in the first place. I stand by my assertion that it's only there because of my trigger-happy nature with applying deletion tags to content that I felt was in poor taste or did not meet my definition of what qualifies as a depiction of a foot, and that what Tycio did appears to be retaliatory in nature and a calculated move to agitate me. If that was his intent, then I say it worked. ThisWas (talk) 21:36, 1 December 2021 (UTC)

Blazikeye535 keeps on blocking me.

Blazikeye535 keeps on blocking me. He blocked me from TTSW, BTSW, GMW, RWW, CGW, Awesome Games Wiki, Fresh Websites Wiki, Atrocious Gameplay Wiki, Worst Music & Songs Wiki, Awful Movies Wiki, Greatest Characters Wiki, and Loathsome Characters Wiki for poor edits, and now he blocked me from almost all of the wikis I contributed on. I have had enough, so I am putting it on here. Something needs to be done about it. That's the thing. MarioBobFan (talk) 05:07, 30 November 2021 (UTC)

MarioBobFan If the user in question is blocking you locally on wikis you've not contributed to, that may be of concern, but what methods of local resolution have you tried? I would suggest, firstly, appealing your local block(s) locally, or if local user talk page access has been unfairly preemptively revoked, to asking the user on their Meta user talk page. There is also this local central wiki that would seem to be appropriate for this purpose. If all of your user talk pages have been revoked, then I'd perhaps suggest reaching out to DarkMatterMan4500 via his Meta user talk page and asking him to procedurally restore your local user talk page access on one or more wikis for a local appeal. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 10:52, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
He has been blocked on the QP central wiki as well from my brief check. --Raidarr (talk) 10:56, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus I could gladly do that. I've been leaving talk pages open for appeals, or leaving them blocked for a fair amount of time (a week or so, to suffice it). DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 11:09, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
DarkMatterMan4500, Thank you for the first point. For the second point, I would personally strongly recommend leaving user talk pages open indefinitely, unless the user engages in vandalism of their own user talk page, removes prior content, or similar other unconstructive practices. For one thing, why would someone be limited to "a week or so" to appeal? We cannot gauge when that appeal may come, as we have to consider that users have lives outside of Miraheze. :) Dmehus (talk) 11:28, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus Oh yeah, I should've been more clear. I was referring to his blocks, not his appeals. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 11:32, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
Also, I see that you're up bright and early, even if it's almost 4:00am in your area right now. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 11:34, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, I didn't get a chance last evening. I'll likely be in bed early, tonight, though. Thanks for clarifying you were referring to the time limit on the blocks, not appeals. :) Dmehus (talk) 11:38, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
I would say I agree with Dmehus here for the second point, unless a user is a vandal or troll. Appeals take time to happen, usually because of a user's personal reasons for not writing right away. However, I will point out that the user we are talking about here has had a very long history of being problematic, as most of his edits were very problematic and he would get very intense when it came to a topic that involved a TV series called The Loud House, and for some spam. However, I would still say that an appeal is appropriate, just in case of any remorse or anything like that. TigerBlazer (talk) 12:23, 30 November 2021 (UTC)

I do want to get unblocked from all of those. I think email should not be disabled. MarioBobFan (talk) 16:49, 30 November 2021 (UTC) Maybe one of you can talk to him about it. MarioBobFan (talk) 00:54, 2 December 2021 (UTC)

I just want to say something here. Can everyone stop referring to TSAEW as TTSW and BSAEW as BTSW? It was renamed months ago, and plus, even if it was still Terrible/Best TV Shows Wiki, it would be TTVSW and BTVSW, not TTSW and BTSW. And also it's not Greatest Characters Wiki, and it's no longer Great Characters Wiki; it's Incredible Characters Wiki now. FatBurn0000 (talk) 08:03, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
I'd agree with this. Ordinarily, I'm not fussed by acronyms, but per the above and because this is somewhat of an alphabet soup of abbreviations, it becomes difficult to know which wiki is which here. Dmehus (talk) 08:16, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

Recover a deleted wiki?

Hello, I missed the notification of my wiki being dormant and when I went to it, it was deleted. Can I check to see if it is recoverable? ... secondarily, is their a level of support where I won't need to worry about dormancy in my wiki? Best, Mark Dilley markwdilley(at)  User:MarkDilley 02:30, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

If you ask for an exemption and get it (usually granted for wikis with low editing and a fair bit of static content), the question of Dormancy is deferred until otherwise noted (activity picks up, content falls into disuse, nobody at all takes a look forever, and so forth). --Raidarr (talk) 09:24, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
In addition to the above, I would also note that Dormancy Policy exemptions are not permanent. Though they've typically be granted indefinitely, they may be removed where the wiki no longer requires an exemption, either in terms of local activity on the wiki, content, or other reasons. Dmehus (talk) 07:48, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
MarkDilley, I have now  undeleted your wiki per this request. Please ensure you make either (a) a logged action or (b) an edit locally on the wiki before the next automated daily run of the wiki closure/deletion script (about five hours from now) otherwise your wiki will be reclosed due to the script not seeing any local log actions/edits in RC on your wiki. Should you miss this, you can just reopen your wiki again in Special:ManageWiki, which would then count as a locally qualifying RC. Dmehus (talk) 07:44, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
Thank you Dmehus & Raidarr. I would like to a) request an exemption for this wiki and b) do wonder if their is a level of support that comes with a number of exemptions for wiki. Best, MarkDilley 16:54, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

Update on the two vandalism accounts

A few weeks ago, I told you about two accounts named TBC280 and TBC230 who appear to be vandalism-only accounts. I did some further investigation and noticed that TBC230 made a few wiki requests about wikis that he described as being for random images. TBC230 requested a wiki called "Tiky Wiki" twice and TBC280 requested a wiki with the same name once, meaning these users are clearly the same person. TBC230 recently requested a wiki called "Spong Wiki" to be created. After investigating the wiki, it seems to just have random images and does not have any actual pages. The main page hasn't even been replaced yet, meaning these users seem to just be uploading random images. Also, TBC230 requested a wiki for random images twice, meaning these users do not appear to be making any constructive contributions and are just vandalism accounts, and they are clearly the same person judging by the fact that their contributions and behavior are identical. I would recommend locking both accounts and also closing Spong Wiki since it has no real content. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 20:08, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

Accidentally removed self from bureaucrat role

Hi. I am the sole member of a new wiki i requested last night. Hi there, a Steward will reset the permissions on your wili and repromote you to bureaucrat and sysop shortly. In the meanwhile, I do recommend you read User groups for an idea of what each group does. Agent Isai Talk to me! 12:28, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
Partially done. Dmehus (talk) 14:43, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
Hamishpo, I've now  recreated the bureaucrat group for you per this request, by resetting the permissions to the default. Additionally, this includes disallowing bureaucrats to remove the role from themselves/other bureaucrats. While other possibilities exist technically, this is strongly discouraged/not recommended, for a couple reasons. Firstly, it is a safeguard to prevent a bureaucrat from inadvertently removing the group from themselves in circumstances exactly like this one. Secondly, by only allowing Stewards to remove the group, it ensures the local wiki's policies and local community consensus is followed. Indeed, even our most active wikis, including All The Tropes Wiki and Meta Wiki follow this process, and have, on rare occasions, made requests via this noticeboard to remove a local bureaucrat bit from a user. Globally lock Thatnickperson

User Thatnickperson repeatedly requested a mainpagewiki four times recently, all of which use nonsense wikinames (they all match the 4 wiki requests).

Usually... Is nonsense banned on all Miraheze and non-Miraheze wikis? If so, please globally lock ThatnickpersonTylerMagee (talk) 23:26, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

I have given them a notice on their talk page. -- Cheers, Bukkit ( TalkAll Contribs ) 23:48, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
Maybe you can setup warnings about self-duplication of wiki requests? TylerMagee (talk) 09:11, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
I feel like a global ban is not required for that. Just a few warnings and make the user unable to make new RequestWikis should do it. And, are the 4 requests exactly the same (excluding comments)? Then it's probably a form submission glitch. That happens normally. Anpang Talk Stuff 09:24, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
Try checking Special:RequestWikiQueue and search for DECLINED requests whose database name is mainpagewiki. TylerMagee (talk) 10:57, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
From my point of view, I don't see a need of the global lock/ban and the valid reason to report someone to the SN. I don't see any nonsense or malice here. Thatnickperson is pretty new here. I don't think any action is required. --Magogre (talk) 11:37, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
TylerMagee To add to what Magogre has said, a global lock in this case would sound pretty harsh, unless the user resorts to cross-wiki vandalism and/or sockpuppetry in some form. There's no need to bite a newcomer, as he hasn't really done anything disruptive. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 11:41, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
Likewise. There's a natural process here, and it's to ask about it first. --Raidarr (talk) 12:37, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
@TylerMagee: Please assume good faith. Global locks are generally only given out in cases of cross-wiki vandalism, long-term abuse, Terms of Service violations, and similar types of things. If we were to lock users for little errors, you yourself would have been locked for welcoming users incorrectly but we don't. Agent Isai Talk to me! 17:32, 5 December 2021 (UTC)

Issues with inactivity

Hello. I had created a wiki on this service, miraheze, and i had connected it to my own domain and such as well. I have been fairly inactive, because i've been having a severe burnout, and a few personal issues that i don't wish to disclose.

I have returned to see about writing some stuff to my wiki, however, i gotten a large warning saying, that my wiki was inactive. It says that i can lose the wiki if i'm inactive....

The thing is, the wiki was never meant to be public. It was meant to allow me to write stories for my characters, and of course, as one would imagine, that takes a very long time!

Due to me being MIA, i had been unable to write to the wiki. I am the only editor in the wiki as well, so no one else can keep it active.

I have a fear that i may need to delete the wiki, as, i don't want someone else to be able to access it. If i ever have any other editors, it would be my friends or family.

The reason i am wanting to keep it private, is due to what my wiki is. It's about my characters that i have created, and i like to make skits and such with them, i don't want anyone else to be able to write about them on the wiki, because, well they wouldn't know what to write, and, i wouldn't want them to write bad stuff either, i like to have full control over it.

As such, i also don't want to lose access to it, because i uploaded my own artwork and logos to it.

I know it's inactive, but honestly, it really is suppose to be inactive. It was never meant to be something that has hundreds of articles every day, compared to something like Wikipedia.

I had followed the popup's instructions, by going to the webpage that it mentions, and i had disabled "Inactivity" I would like to know if there is any way to get rid of the inactivity warning, as i do really wish to keep the wiki even if it is inactive.

I hope you guys could help me.

Thank you, kind regards ~Skye Kind regards, Chloe. (talk) 04:27, 6 December 2021 (UTC)

In this noticeboard, create a new topic, in the topic put in why you want your wiki to be excempt from deletion and the wiki you want to be excempt from deletion. And maybe name the topic something like "Dormancy policy excemption" Anpang Talk Stuff 08:54, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
Since the conversation is taking place here and you've been quite descriptive, I think this will do the job when a Steward comes along. You just need to verify you're interested in exemption :) --Raidarr (talk) 08:57, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
Oh this would be great. I hope the steward would be able to make this happen then.

Exempt from inactivity

Hello, I would like to Exempt from inactivity this wiki. Thanks! AlPaD (talk) 15:24, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

Read the Dormancy Policy#Exemptions from the Dormancy Policy page, you should cite reasons for exemption YellowFrogger (Talk UnEdits) (Bring back patrolled) 16:14, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
From what I saw, you are a contributing user, you will have more chances YellowFrogger (Talk UnEdits) (Bring back patrolled) 16:15, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
YellowFrogger Hello. The reason to request for it is that even if I'm absent at some point the wiki isn't delete. AlPaD (talk) 19:13, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
I'm not a steward so I can't do anything for you right now. Also pay attention to the new rules of the dormancy policy; you will have to "renew" the exemption every two years now! I am opposed to this, but unfortunately it is the new rule YellowFrogger (Talk UnEdits) (Bring back patrolled) 19:26, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
Please do not spread this information. It is one idea from a request for comment to get community input that is likely to be split to another discussion due to being divisive. The live Dormancy Policy has not in any way been updated. --Raidarr (talk) 20:41, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
@Raidarr: It hasn't really updated yet, but in a few days, who knows, this rule will have it, as the vote was surrendered. Is there really going to be another discussion about this? YellowFrogger (Talk UnEdits) (Bring back patrolled) 23:06, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
The vote was not surrendered. It is an ongoing Request for Comment. --Raidarr (talk) 23:23, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
It's 17 against 10, so mathematically YellowFrogger (Talk Edits) 23:29, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
And Besides, you should allow things posted on Stewards' noticeboard to be assessed by STEWARDS, especially when you can not handle the request. This is a Steward noticeboard and contains Stewards' request, so please YellowFrogger next time, allow Stewards to assess the content of their noticeboard in peace, especially when you can not handle the situation.
Hope this helps there!
Happy editing. Ugochimobi (talk) 23:37, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
@Ugochimobi: When I feel like I can help, even if it's on the bulletin board at Stewards, I edit and give my knowledge. Even Raidarr and other users do this, and there is no rule for this. Also, I already asked a steward a question (I think it was Doug), he gave me permission to help with the Steward Noticeboard and Administrators Noticeboard. When you think you can help, it doesn't matter if you're CN or SN. But I opine and wait for a steward to rate even so. It is also a fact that stewards are more inactive these last days. YellowFrogger (Talk Edits) 23:51, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
Ugochimobi, YellowFrogger is entirely correct here. My stake was correcting a misconception so it would not spread further. Users have a right to comment, though it's expected the comments are tactful. Even on this Noticeboard, users may have something to say to assist in situations especially since Stewards can take a fair bit of time to respond themselves. --Raidarr (talk) 00:56, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

I apologize for this, it was likely a complication from the ongoing process to complete the MediaWiki 1.37 update, which had additional work and bug hunting for some time after the farm was reopened to editing - which is the same time your request was accepted. I can't promise a timeline since Stewards can frankly be a little on and off, but this will be addressed. --Raidarr (talk) 12:40, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

Hi Stewards, we held an election on LGBallT wiki for new bureaucrats because there are no active admins. We left it open for 7 days and its been 7 days and the election is over. Here's a link to the election. [1] Ballmedia (talk) 03:59, 27 November 2021 (UTC)

Agent Isai Is this a current independent poland ball wiki and, upon completion of this request, is it your attention to have a local discussion about the wiki joining the Ballmedia Central group of wikis by way of signing onto the Ballmedia charter? Alternatively, has such a local discussion (whether on-wiki, public Discord server, or similar public venue) already occurred? Dmehus (talk) 16:20, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
@Dmehus: This wiki will not be joining Ballmedia. Instead, it will simply be handed under the care of it and then once rebuilt, users from the previous wiki will have their rights restored and should they desire to join the network, then they can but otherwise, no, this wiki will not join Ballmedia. Agent Isai Talk to me! 03:28, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. By "rights restored," what do you mean? Do you from the previous Fandom wiki, or were rights removed on Miraheze? I assume the existing bureaucrat/sysop would remain until they either (a) resign or (b) there is a substantive community discussion on the matter? Dmehus (talk) 03:30, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Yes, the rights of all the previous administrators on the Fandom wiki would be restored upon their request. As for the existing bureaucrat and sysop, they would be kept unless they resign or a local discussion occurs. Agent Isai Talk to me! 03:32, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll take a look at this election request tomorrow evening. Dmehus (talk) 05:55, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
Ballmedia and Agent Isai, this has been  done, as a successful local election, albeit with only one participant in the election being from the Ballmedia network of wikis. Please see my closing comments locally. Secondly, as a procedural, housekeeping question, can either of you confirm if my thinking that Ballmedia is a shared role account for the Ballmedia network of wikis and, if so, who is provided access to this account? I assume it's likely that Ballmedia Network Consuls and Network Director, which, I believe, is Agent Isai share access, but some confirmation of this would be appreciated. As well, as you will currently be the only locally active administrator, you will not be able to patrol your own pre-existing edits, so if you'd like a Steward or Global Sysop to patrol your edits locally, please just ask. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 00:06, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

Could I please adopt these wikis?

I made a request to adopt Worst TV Networks Wiki on August 16, 2020. 2 months and 2 days later, I finally received a reply from Dmehus and they reopened the wiki. Despite the request not being finished, the request was archived. As a result, I tried to request the rights on requests for adoption, although my request was (unsurprisingly) denied. In addition, I also tried to adopt an open wiki, Horrible Companies Wiki by starting a discussion on the main page's talk page. I am aware that I am not very active on HCW but it is because there is not a lot of content. FatBurn0000 (talk) 07:58, 9 December 2021 (UTC)

I took the liberty of denying the reopened request authoritatively as a user because it was attempting to use the normal adoption process for an already open wiki. Unfortunately (and I know this happened suddenly), the process changed from what you know.
For the past few years, rights were not supposed to be given through adoption, but due to someone slipping language into the policy early on they were. This was corrected by John, after which the process became far simpler - the Requests for reopening wikis process is to only reopen the wiki, and if you want rights, you need to open a local election to request them. Therefore, the terms of your previous request became invalid and could not be filled through RfA. The ongoing request for comment seeks to address this confusing language (among other topics) as 'adoption' is no longer appropriate.
I am not a Steward, therefore I only provide input based on my understanding of conventions and policy. That said, your request on HCW is is okay, though it could do more to advertise and open itself to input with a conventional election layout. However, since the main page is protected, you couldn't do a site notice, and the last substantive edits were back in July by the founder with only minor edits in August by Bluba, largest being this page (per the expanded recent changes page), I would say you've had the lion's share of concern for the wiki since then. I think with all things considered including my experience of your interest in reception wikis, granting you rights has a good case here. But that will be the call of a Steward. In any case, my apologies for the confusion of the process so far. With an unlocked main page, I think you have a shot at a more complete local election on Worst TV Networks. --Raidarr (talk) 11:43, 9 December 2021 (UTC)

I would like to point out that if you are not to active on the other wiki you have adopted, than I do not really see the point in having another one that you could very well not use often either. Just a bit of input I would like to address. TigerBlazer (talk) 15:08, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
@TigerBlazer: The reason why I'm not very active on the wiki is because it doesn't have a lot of content. I am hoping to find a way to import all negative pages about companies that make more than one type of media on Qualitipedia wikis there with all revisions copied, because if they make more than one type of media, we cannot decide which wiki they go on. FatBurn0000 (talk) 20:45, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
Also, could a steward please remove the moderation on Good Software Wiki? There's no need for moderation, and there's so many edits that need to be made. FatBurn0000 (talk) 10:34, 10 December 2021 (UTC)

CheckUser request for 2 accounts involved:

  1. CallOfDutyIsGreat (talk • contribs • page moves • block log • CA • rights log • global rights log • abuselog • farmer log • block)
  2. Spongebobfan41422 (talk • contribs • page moves • block log • CA • rights log • global rights log • abuselog • farmer log • block)

I suspect that these 2 accounts are sockpuppets of Quarrow for one of 2 reasons that I will further explain here: Spongebobfan41422 has directly removed content from this page, and just like with Duchess7he5ponge, the user in question has also messed up and/or replaced content on this page with nonsense or otherwise unconstructive edits. As for CallOfDutyIsGreat, they've replaced the BrainPOP! name with the name, Call of Duty, which had nothing to do with the article (and is also a video game franchise), which the vandalism is consistent with Commando is Going!, and QuarrowInTheRisk (another confirmed duck sockpuppet of Quarrow). Additionally, while AVXUser is considered stale, given that it's locked for being a confirmed sockpuppet of Quarrow, the user's vandalism here is also consistent with the above pointers. Therefore, a CheckUser is needed if they are indeed related or not. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 16:16, 10 December 2021 (UTC)

Talk to the account(s) owner(s) specifically. Nobody likes to receive a check, even if the user has committed vandalism. only if he doesn't care YellowFrogger (Talk Edits) 21:51, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
@YellowFrogger: Ah, but that's the problem. Checks against users are necessary with the amount of sufficient evidence, like the ones I listed here. Your dismissive tone of asking me to "talk to the account(s) owner(s)" does not help matters here. The referenced master account in this case is locked, but behavioral (or technical) evidence could be useful. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 21:59, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
Understood your point of view. If he's no longer active, instead a vandalizing user, he won't even know (even if he did) won't even call to verify his account. Most users who vandalize don't care about the wiki that vandalizes. YellowFrogger (Talk Edits) 22:29, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for understanding that, but I'd like you give this article a good read. Even if the master account is stale, sometimes, you might just find the same IPs that they may use to go around a block or global lock. They may use proxies or other underlying IP addresses to pick up where they left off. A good piece of advice from a wiki creator such as myself. CheckUsers are here for the purpose of fighting vandalism, spambots, sockpuppetry and determine whether or not the user(s) in question has sent an email using the MediaWiki email feature. Hope that helps. :) DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 22:39, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
Exactly. And I see almost every day an IP address blocked for a year here on Meta and always for the same reasons: Open IP Proxie YellowFrogger (Talk Edits) 22:42, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
One user locked (of those you identified at the top of this thread), in accordance with user accounts policy (as well as for the crosswiki vandalism Reception123 identified previously). With regard to the other one, can you please identify specifically how this user is likely related to Quarrow? Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 01:53, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus Oh, not a problem. As for Spongebobfan41422, he, along with another locked Quarrow sockpuppet account have frequented on this page, constantly vandalizing pages like this. Not sure if this is sufficient enough to warrant another check for comparison, but yes, previous Quarrow sockpuppets have targeted this page which happens to be ROBLOX-related stuff. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 02:04, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus Hold on, I knew I was also missing something as well: This user also vandalized this page on ROBLOX, appearing to overlap with Elsagate and AGWQuarrow's vandalism on the same page too. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 02:10, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
DarkMatterMan4500 Thanks. I've seen that. While it's vandalism, perhaps soft-ish vandalism except for the page blanking which is definitely blatant vandalism, the edits are not really anything like Quarrow's (and socks)'), as far as I can tell. So it seems that particular page is attracting vandalism from two likely different users. They may well be the same user, but I wouldn't know that and the behavioural evidence is not sufficient, in my view, to warrant a check of Spongebobfan41422. Thus, all I can suggest is, firstly, that you provide a local warning to Spongebobfan41422, leaving their user talk page open for appeal, and advise them against creating further accounts, per user accounts policy, to evade their local blocks. Secondarily, as a recommendation, given the persistent vandalism by apparently multiple people, I'd suggest locally protecting the page at either autoconfirmed or sysop, at least for between 1-3 months or so. Dmehus (talk) 02:10, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus If that's the case, then perhaps a warning or guidance will suffice, so we can avoid confusion in the future. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 02:11, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. SGTM. This can be  locally handled then. Dmehus (talk) 02:15, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

The request itself was marked as  Done (trust me, John marked it as that), but I require local bureaucrat permissions on the wiki. It is advertised on the main page which has no protection, but it needs to be moved onto MediaWiki:Sitenotice. I cannot edit that page though, as the MediaWiki namespace is only editable by interface administrators on the wiki. TylerMagee (talk) 17:36, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

The wiki has no editors other than yourself so therefore there would not be much need or sense in having a sitenotice. Reception123 (talk) (C) 08:07, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

Global lock request | Username Policy violations from Wikimedia

The user Wikimedia is violating the Username Policy by stealing trademark names. I request a global lock for the account with the exact name. TylerMagee (talk) 19:28, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

Where did you find this account? You could even ask her to change the name in Special:GlobalRenameRequest. Yet this account was created a year ago. Since there were seven edits on a wiki, none of them vandalism YellowFrogger (Talk Edits) 19:35, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Whoa, hold it. That account hasn't been active for about 19 months, ever since May 22nd, 2020 (which was their last edit from their last activity). DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 19:36, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Possibly in Special:CentralAuth's user list. It appears just for help, and I detected "Wikimedia". Well, the Wikimedia name is a trademark of the Wikimedia Foundation. I have also created a talk page for them and told them to do that. TylerMagee (talk) 21:03, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Accounts with bad usernames get a block after some period of time. I had an alt account with a username policy invalid name, Mirahexe, and I just requested for it to be changed and unblocked. So Tyler's probably correct here? The account isn't active and trademark names aren't enfored too much so they may be not correct.  AP📨  06:58, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
In my view, "Wikimedia" would indeed probably not be a username that we'd want to have on here as it's the name of an organization and I'm quite certain that the user isn't affiliated with it. However, in every case other than bad faith/clear vandalism the policy states that accounts should be " warned, linked to this policy and invited to change their username" and not directly locked, so the request to lock now is  Not done. I additionally ask TylerMagee to not issue warnings under this policy and to leave that to CVT members. Reception123 (talk) (C) 08:06, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

Global Lock Request

Recently, a user named DarthXiao has been blocked on many of the Qualitipedia wikis for wishing death upon groups of people, and has been sending some questionable messages to the user King Dice, with these screenshots she has sent me being proof of that. I think this is enough of an offense to warrant a global lock for DarthXiao, so I was wondering if the stewards could look into this. TigerBlazer (talk) 22:17, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

Wait a minute!.. Unless the user is not on meta, remember to link their Miraheze meta-wiki page. TylerMagee (talk) 09:14, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
Well they're reporting a user that's vandalising on other wikis so it makes sense that they link to that user's userpage on that wiki Anpang Talk Stuff 09:22, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
Just in case it's necessary to have the user's Meta account linked, here it is: DarthXiao. Marxo Grouch (talk) 18:46, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
That is a red link, possibly there is no miraheze meta-wiki user page for the user. Global user pages are hosted on Login Wiki. TylerMagee (talk) 15:27, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
For Marxo Grouch and TylerMagee; the specific user page is not important except in presenting evidence. The name is used to a) review the account (for example, get a brief glimpse of the various contributions manually and see what the account does) and then b) take further action as necessary. For courtesy links I would suggest linking the user's CentralAuth, which in this case would be here. Though as long as the user in question is clear and the evidence is provided, a GS or Steward will have what they need to take action. If anything I would say specific diffs or other links to where activities took place to review for evidence would be most useful instead of screenshots. --Raidarr (talk) 17:47, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
Are they continuing this among multiple wikis? From a quick view, I can't see anything public to support a lock besides the private messages that I am unable to review outside of the screenshots. If this is localised and now effectively prevented, I am tempted to leave it with the local block only. John (talk) 18:13, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
From what I know, he is only doing it on QP, as those are the only wikis he is registered on. He is also registered on Real Life Villains Wiki, but I'm unsure of his activity there. TigerBlazer (talk) 18:38, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

Global IP block

This IP address is on a web proxy. Generally, proxies are not allowed on any wiki that allows IP edits. Globally block the IP. TylerMagee (talk) 12:27, 5 December 2021 (UTC)

Expensive parser function count increment per T8389

Please increase the parser function count of gratispaideiawiki and gratisdatawiki to 400, thanks. Ugochimobi (talk) 15:22, 6 December 2021 (UTC)

Stewards noticeboard is not the place for bugs with the farm, please keep this in phabricator. TylerMagee (talk) 22:53, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
@TylerMagee: This isn't a bug report but instead a setting change request. As the setting to change the expensive parser function count is within ManageWiki, it falls under the jurisdiction of Stewards to change. We actually directed Ugochimobi from Phabricator to the Stewards'noticeboard to request this change. Agent Isai Talk to me! 22:57, 6 December 2021 (UTC)

My request to the bureaucrat at Destruipedia

More than a week ago I created an election to become a bureaucrat at Destruipedia, so far there hasn't been a vote (neither for nor against) as you can see in this link: However a Perola Maniaco user from Unmeta as you can see on the adoption request page of this wiki supports my promotion to bureaucrat as you can see by clicking the link below: .org and until I post this message here on Stewards there has been no opposition to my promotion of this wiki to bureaucrat. I also intend to reform Destroipedia, as I said in the request thread this wiki will have humor articles different from those of Uncyclopedia and other humor wikis targeting more unusual funny subjects like funny names of citizens, establishments, localities, etc. . Hilarious news, cases and incidents and also about hacks, bizarre, among others but this is clear only if I'm approved as a bureaucrat of Destruipedia. I hope that it works out and that I can be promoted in this role so as not to leave this wiki abandoned and to be able to invest my projects in Destruipedia. Yours sincerely.InternoPédia (talk) 04:19, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

InternoPédia Thank you for your request for Stewards to assess your local election request. To advertise your local request more prominently, I've added a local sitenotice to the wiki, linking to your local election request. I will aim to revisit this local election assessment request in several days. Thank you Dmehus (talk) 07:32, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
Sorry, I thought it was just a question of creating an election on the wiki and waiting 7 days, I didn't know I had to send a message here and then you can put a slash on my request and the result of it; I've been waiting for almost 15 days to become a new bureaucrat at Destruipedia.
In these 7 more days that have passed, there has also been no opposition so much as no vote in favor (since the wiki has been completely abandoned) although a user with the nickname Perola Maniaco approves of my promotion to bureaucrat so far, you can check the link: Now it's in your hands to become a bureaucrat I'm waiting. InternoPédia (talk) 02:22, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
@InternoPédia: For future reference, I would suggest you use the {{ping}} template to get the attention of any user you're replying to as they may not backscroll to see if there's been a reply to an old thread or may forget too. In any case, I myself have pinged Dmehus here so hopefully he will assess the consensus of that local election soon. Agent Isai Talk to me! 02:57, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
InternoPédia, I will have  marked your local election assessment request for tomorrow evening in my mental calendar, and aim to handle it then. Thank you. Dmehus (talk) 05:07, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll take a look at your local election request tomorrow, with a view to completing it at that time. Dmehus (talk) 05:56, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
Thank you, I will be waiting for the conclusion result. InternoPédia (talk) 17:54, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
@Dmehus: I would like to know if you have already started analyzing my request for a local election as you promised, as I am beginning to think that no one is wanting to approve me as a bureaucrat at Destruipedia, as I have not received any response so far and for this reason I came to charge and also ask if it's okay to promote me as a new bureaucrat at Destruipedia, what's going on? Is there something going on that I'm not aware of? If I wasn't approved, just say ok? Because I'm depending a lot on Destruipedia to create my articles. without also saying that it looks like I'm the only one going to be like Not Done in the red. Graciously InternoPédia (talk) 23:21, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
Yep, I'll assess your local request tomorrow. Dmehus (talk) 08:21, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
InternoPédia, this has been  done, as a successful election by acclamation, with no local policies prohibiting such elections. Please see my closing comments locally. As well, as you will currently be the only locally active administrator, you will not be able to patrol your own pre-existing edits, so if you'd like a Steward or Global Sysop to patrol your edits locally, please just ask. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 23:40, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
I'm glad I finally became a bureaucrat around here! Many thanks to the following users @Dmehus: for their approval, @Agent Isai: @YellowFrogger: and @Ma͡gogre: for helping me, and @Pérola Maniaco: for supporting the application. Dmehus would like to respond to the request: which ended as soon as I became a bureaucrat about communicating any decision I have on the wiki for other bureaucrats, I want to tell you that I am aware of this, but being the only active administrator will be difficult, as the three bureaucrats abandoned Destruipedia and I even went to their user (JPLSilva) in another humor wiki to warn about that (among other reasons) but he didn't even answer me and he deleted my message. So if you allow I will need more administrators and even all of you who helped me are invited to the position of bureaucrats and also Pérola Maniaco, AgentSai, YellowFrogger and Magogre because I am also interested in customizing Destruipedia which will continue with the name but I will want to change the slogan to something that has more to do with "Destruipedia" Yours sincerely. InternoPédia (talk) 18:41, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
Has JPLSilva deleted your message? I did not know. He was the owner of the site and I thought he had forgotten about it and still reversed his edit? You're welcome. You can keep the site YellowFrogger (Talk Edits) 19:46, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
Oops, it's barely delay to answer that after I became a bureaucrat at Destruipedia I was making some small changes there, but anyway. About JPLSilva being its owner I can say that he is one of the people responsible for transferring the Destruipedia that was previously hosted on FANDOM (where it was possibly created) to Miraheze I believe he would be just one of the bureaucrats because the Destruipedia was created by the user Farra13. JPLSilva lives more on Desciclopedia (Portuguese version of Uncyclopedia) and the guy is very annoying and at least virtually obnoxious and at least I believe he removed my message.
I also wanted to ask you about private wikis; Could you tell me how to give permission for logged in users to access its content and not just administrators and bureaucrats? Or is it just administrators and bureaucrats who have access to content and article pages and even logged in users can only access the wiki Home Page?
InternoPédia (talk) 22:02, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
@Internopédia: This Destruipedia is actually an old bankrupt wiki that was restored in FANDOM and then moved to Miraheze, according to this page from Desciclopédia. And on private wikis, non-members can only see the main page; the rest of the content is not visible. You will have to add as "member" in Special:UserRights/Example users who can see the content without being bureaucrat or admin (I think). YellowFrogger (Talk Edits) 22:36, 18 December 2021 (UTC)

May you disable my account?

I don't like miraheze much anymore and I wanna have my account turned off Gaemer (talk) 20:43, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

Gaemer,  done, per your request. Should you wish to resume editing from this account, you will need to e-mail stewards(at) to request that it be unlocked (and you'll need to either (a) remember your password or (b) have a confirmed account recovery e-mail address associated to it). Alternatively, you can just create a new account, taking care to respect user accounts policy, of course. Dmehus (talk) 22:03, 19 December 2021 (UTC)

Removal of Inactive wiki creators

In accordance with the policy I am requesting that a Steward removes the following creators for inactivity:

  • CircleyDoesExtracter - last Meta edit on 10 September 2021 - Considered as a de facto resignation as the profile indicates "I'm not active. That's all."
  • Integer - last Meta edit on 16 August 2021 - last wiki creation 12 February 2021 - last global edit (as far as what my investigations indicate) August 2021 DeeM28 (talk) 09:08, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
DeeM28, thank you for your request for removal of two wiki creators in accordance with the inactivity clause of the policy. For CircleyDoesExtracter, this has been  dpne. I hadn't yet looked into that user's global edits. For Integer, as the user some recent edits on ingentionarywiki as well as one log action on ingenwiki, reopening their wiki of all things. Critically, though, their last wiki request handled (whether approved, declined, or otherwise) was 3 March 2021. The Code of Conduct does remind users to step down gracefully where they are not able to commit to a reasonable level of activity required of them. That raises an interesting procedural question, though, in terms of whether the Code of Conduct can supplement the inactivity clause of the Meta:Wiki creators policy. Potentially, though that's not necessarily and personally not a view I'd hold, as there are other elements of the respective policies that would otherwise come into conflict with that. Additionally, in such cases, each revocation and/or inactivity clause for Meta Wiki and global permissions policies advise the community to remember that Miraheze is volunteer-run, and volunteer commitments can vary, sometimes wildly. In short, the Code of Conduct is a rather blunt tool. As such, I've instead  reached out to Integer via their user talk page, in accordance with the Code of Conduct and, indeed, other provisions of the wiki creator policy in order to ask them whether they wish to (a) continue assisting with managing the wiki request backlog or (b) whether they wish to resign/step down gracefully, where they're not able to do so. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 21:50, 19 December 2021 (UTC)

Global IP Block Exemption Request

I would like to have this user right given, as I would like to keep my privacy when web browsing. I do not like the fact that the government can spy on things you do, so that is one of my main reasons that I am starting to use the TOR browser. -- Cheers, Bukkit ( TalkAll Contribs ) 21:33, 17 December 2021 (UTC)

Bukkit, thank you for your request for a global IP block exemption. However, please note a couple things whereby you should not need such an exemption. For one thing, most of our global IP blocks are soft blocks, which have no effect on registered users editing. For another thing, the TorBlock extension includes the torunblocked user right is assigned to the user group by default on all newly created wikis. To the best of my knowledge, that's actually always been the case. Accordingly, I'm inclined to mark this as not done. Dmehus (talk) 21:01, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
I also want to edit on Meta via TOR, which I get the message “Your IP address, (insert relay ip), has been automatically identified as a tor exit node. Editing through Tor is blocked to prevent abuse.” -- Cheers, Bukkit ( TalkAll Contribs ) 00:32, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
Sorry to tell you this. To have privacy on the internet, just don't use the internet, because even through the device they spy on you. YellowFrogger (Talk Edits) 00:33, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
Bukkit, thank you for your reply. You've articulated a reasonable need. Not a great need, but an at least somewhat reasonable one. Still, I do have concerns given the number of global renames you've requested and alternate accounts you've created, it becomes very difficult to keep track of which accounts are you and which are not. My preference would be grant you a local IP block exemption (ipblock-exempt) on Meta Wiki, but such group does not exist, and my preference would be there to be a local Meta Wiki RfC to establish this group on terms similar to the global policy except that it would be granted either (a) Meta administrators or (b) Stewards via respective requests at Meta:Administrators' noticeboard and Stewards' noticeboard. Nevertheless, if you'll confirm that you do not intend to request further global renames (you're well established as Bukkit now, I think) and to fully disclose all of your alternate accounts on your global user page, I'd be okay with granting you this permission, but only to your main account and, ideally, only until such local ipblock-exempt group exists. How does that sound? Dmehus (talk) 00:45, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
SGTM. -- Cheers, Bukkit ( TalkAll Contribs ) 00:51, 20 December 2021 (UTC)

Wiki creation

Hello, I recently made a request a few hours ago and I'm patiently waiting for a steward to open it for me. I don't mind the wait but could you please maybe take the time to open the wiki for me? Please reach out to me whenever you can. Thanks! FineLime (talk) 08:26, 18 December 2021 (UTC)

You will need to wait a bit more I think. I'll ping the wiki creators.
@Agent Isai: @Dmehus: @Raidarr:  AP📨  08:29, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
@FineLime: For the record, this process is typically managed by the wiki creators; while a Steward can be a Wiki Creator, they typically do not manage the requests in a Steward capacity.
While the description was extremely light, we offer a level of discretion for wikis that are 'private' in focus. If a private wiki would be a better fit (since what you have is currently marked public), please update the request to indicate so; and either way, for a stronger(especially public) request we would like to hear more about the content matter the company deals with, and what sorts of pages you might use to explore it. This should also be placed the updated request, so it is back in 'the pool' and a wiki creator can review it again. My availability is not good at this time of day, so another will likely follow up before I am available again.
My apologies for the wait and inconvenience; as a majority of wiki creators are rarely available in these hours and earlier. For other reviewer's edification, the request is here. --Raidarr (talk) 09:17, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
FineLime, this looks to have been  handled already. I concur with the wiki creator assessment to conditionally approve this wiki as a private wiki. What this means is you should either (a) temporarily grant a wiki creator the member permission on your wiki or (b) request a Steward to visit your wiki and assess it for the purposes of defining a clear enough purpose and scope and whether the content on the wiki complies with Content Policy, should you later desire to make your wiki public. Once that's been assessed, the original wiki request can be amended to update the wiki's purpose and articulate a clear purpose and scope (via the "request comments" feature). Thanks.
