If you are looking to make a report regarding a specific user, in addition to being required to provide a thorough and complete report, you should also know that reports by anonymous or logged out users are not taken very seriously for a couple reasons, namely that:

  1. We cannot ascertain who is making the report; and,
  2. Western liberal democracies enshrine in a citizen's fundamental, constitutionally-enshrined legal rights the right to know and face one's accuser, and Miraheze is no different.

Accordingly, please kindly login. If you are unable to login, please e-mail tech(at)miraheze.org with your username and the specific error message you are receiving, and they will assist you, or direct you to other global functionaries where appropriate.

Stewards' noticeboard
This noticeboard is only requests that require Stewards', or, in a limited number of circumstances, Global Sysops', intervention. If in doubt, please try community noticeboard first, and you will be directed here if the matter requires a Steward

On Stewards' noticeboard (this page), you can:

  • Request a steward or Global Sysop to lock a spam only or vandalism only account. Note that for vandalism only accounts, the vandalism must meet the global standard definition for vandalism and to be a vandalism only account, there must be no or almost no constructive editing behaviour and, additionally, this behaviour should be occurring on multiple wikis
  • Report a Username Policy violation (whether in good-faith or bad faith)
  • Report a user suspected of abusing multiple accounts per user accounts policy. You must link to specific revisions from both the suspected master and illegitimate alternate account(s)
  • Request additional permissions on your wiki(s) that can only be granted by a steward, such as local interwiki administrator
  • Request a page requiring the bigdelete user right (more than 1,000 revisions) be deleted on your wiki
  • Request a Dormancy Policy exemption for your wiki
  • Report systemic Code of Conduct problems occurring by one or more user(s) on one or more wiki(s) and/or systemic Content Policy violations on one or more wiki(s). In either case, your report must link to specific revisions and, in the latter case, your report must be both thorough and comprehensive

Link "Donate to Miraheze" leads to wrong page with German language settings[edit | edit source]

Dear Team, with German language settings the link "Donate to Miraheze" (in German "Spende an Miraheze") in the footer leads to a not existing page (https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Spenden). I believe that the correct link should be https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Donate/de.

I tried to find a way for changing the link on my wiki but didn't succeed. I think it is a global setting. Is it possible for you to change that? StiFF (talk) 07:42, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing out the issue. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 10:57, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've adjusted it, it is tied into translatewiki.net and can be updated there. I have done so, and it will update whenever that propagates. -- Void Whispers 22:49, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help!! Accidentally deleted bureaucrat!![edit | edit source]

I deleted bureaucrat on Controversial Media Wiki. MoistyTIT (talk) 21:35, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved, do be more careful. If you remove the managewiki right from any group, you may not be able to manage any wiki settings. -- Void Whispers 22:54, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Now resolved, per my talkpage, sorry about that. -- Void Whispers 17:55, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Enable WikimediaIncubator for cplostwikiswiki[edit | edit source]

Hello, I am requesting WikimediaIncubator to please be enabled on cplostwikiswiki. It would prove extremly helpful in organizing the wiki and better seperating sections hence why I am requesting it enabled. Thank you! Agent Isai Talk to me! 23:58, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Someone kicked me off Astonishing Scratchers Wiki, a wiki I made and closed it.[edit | edit source]

Today, I found out that an admin of Astonishing Scratchers Wiki took my admin and bureaucrat role away from me and decided to close the wiki. I didn't approve of this. Can I have my bureaucrat role back and reopen the wiki please. It would be very helpful if I could just get my own wiki back. Pacsonic9000 (talk) 17:36, 10 September 2021 (UTC) [reply]

Can you merge two accounts for me?[edit | edit source]

I would like to merge this account with my alt Phonicfriends103 please. Mostly because I forgot my password. Milcery229 (talk) 05:03, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, if you don't have access to the Phonicfriends103 it won't be possible as we have no way to prove that you are in fact Phonicfriends103. I assume that means you don't have an email set for Phonicfriends103 which would allow you to reset your password. Reception123 (talk) (C) 09:32, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please shutdown Real Life Villains Wiki?[edit | edit source]

There is a wiki called Real Life Villains Wiki that was supposed to list the most evil people ever. However, it turns out that it is yet another user reception wiki (see its main page for more) and it has a lot of content that violates CoC (I shouldn't give examples of this, since I already provided links for you to review the wiki). Galaxy Star (ch@t) 07:13, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

First off, how is it a user reception wiki? And second, where's your proof? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 09:29, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
As DarkMatterMan4500 says above, please do provide examples of CoC violations and Content Policy violations here as it's easier than having Stewards having to go through every single page until they find them. Reception123 (talk) (C) 09:31, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Going through the Special:AllPages on the Real Life Villains Wiki, I'm not seeing any examples of articles on users as Galaxy Star is claiming at all. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 09:44, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Umm... deceased... people? Galaxy Star (ch@t) 10:45, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Clarify? --Raidarr (talk) 16:54, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Such as this page. Galaxy Star (ch@t) 18:20, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If anything from the front page link offs, it is against explicitly violating material and pages of miraheze users, though I concur that it can certainly run the risk regarding wider internet personalities and people. Raidarr (talk) 12:28, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

DarkMatterMan4500 needs to be warned or banned from Miraheze for his disruptive behavior and for impersonating as a steward[edit | edit source]

DarkMatterMan4500 has been falsely accusing users of being a "WG8686 Sockpuppet" without any valid proof, as he accuses them over opinions. Like for liking " Pokemon, WWE, The Sims, and Grand Theft Auto"

And on top of that, he has been making disruptive edits on the reception wikis by using inappropriate language by telling them or "Fuck Off" or being rude in edit summaries like these examples. 1. awesomegames.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/DarkMatterMan4500 2. awesomegames.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:Log?type=delete&user=DarkMatterMan4500&page=&wpdate=&tagfilter=&subtype= 3. crappygames.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:Log?type=delete&user=DarkMatterMan4500&page=&wpdate=&tagfilter=&subtype= 4. awfulmovies.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:Log?type=delete&user=DarkMatterMan4500&page=&wpdate=&tagfilter=&subtype=

He has also impersonated as a Steward to people on the wikis, which is not allowed on Miraheze. 1. rottenwebsites.miraheze.org/wiki/User_talk:Fainted

Can you guys give this guy a warning or temp ban him for a couple days, he needs to learn a lesson. CrusherTheDragon (talk) 00:14, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

None of the above seems to indicate any problems from DMM's side. If anything the above copy/paste is just evidence of more LTA by someone very determined to make it difficult for us to stop them from abusing multiple accounts. Please do us all a favor and stop 8) PS: Locked for abuse of multiple accounts. -- Cheers, NDKilla ( TalkContribs ) 01:05, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Don't listen to this user, NDKilla; he's just another sock account of WillG. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 05:05, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
SuperStreetKombat In case you're not aware, he was already made aware of it because I sent him a message last night, with the diffs of his previous socks saying something similar to CrusherTheDragon, and has already locked the account for "LTA" (Long-term abuse), and wasting everyone's time. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 09:16, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

CheckUser request on 2 users:[edit | edit source]

I am requesting a Checkuser on these 2 accounts because a few admins have suspected that Mictrons and Stroke bench are the same person, given that Mictrons was blocked based on some of his comments on Awful Movies Wiki and share the same grammar as Stroke bench like these examples here. Given that Stroke bench also asked people to support zoophiles, and watch how he admits to sockpuppetry in this here sentence here (given that it was removed to cover it up, but still a crucial mistake). That comment where he admits to sockpuppetry definitely tells me that it's likely Mictrons, especially since he also made this comment, still mentioning the suspected master. Given that both of them were created on exactly the same day, with both accounts being created exactly 9 hours and 38 minutes apart from each other and both of them registering on the Terrible Shows & Episodes Wiki, I'm pretty confident that they are both the same person. And for Stroke bench being created, they have also picked up where Mictrons left off on from this part right hereDarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 19:48, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

For the confession, the comment you will want to see is the one with the time stamp "22:43, 29 August 2021" at this link. Marxo Grouch (talk) 13:44, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Marxo Grouch Thanks for adding additional specifics that the Stewards should look for. I'm sure they'll look into it sooner or later. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 13:48, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Adding Thenstale for these comments. The first one may look like he's agreeing with Mictrons, but given that he's been demanding for some of the wikis to close just like Mictrons demanded the Character wikis to be closed permanently, that doesn't seem like they're different at all. There's just too much duck-like behavioral evidence when you have a look at the comparisons of their behavior and similar demands they have made. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 12:44, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Void Could you assist us in this investigation against Mictrons based on the evidence we have gathered? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 18:19, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've added this to my radar and will look at it soon. -- Void Whispers 18:55, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Void Very good. Given that there's a lot of behavioral evidence shown from the links that were presented here. :) DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 18:56, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An admin kicked me off my own wiki and closed it. Can you guys reopen it and give me my bureaucrat permissions back?[edit | edit source]

I found out that an admin decided to demote me from my own wiki and close it without my permission. I made a post about it but it just got ignored so I'm hoping that this one doesn't get ignored before the wiki closes. It didn't break any guidelines as it didn't bully anyone so can you guys reopen it and give me my bureaucrat permissions back because I never allowed said admin to demote me and close the wiki and because the admin demoted me before closing the wiki, there's nothing I can do other than ask. Pacsonic9000 (talk) 02:15, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't you already make a request similar to this a couple days ago? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 15:50, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
yep i do see a request here on the 10th, i would recommend waiting for a steward to reply, duplicating the same issue multiple times will not speed up a reply from a steward also keep in mind stewards have can take 1-2 weeks to reply perhaps longer if no reply by then you can leave them a message on their wall. Can’t make account[edit | edit source]

I’ve been trying to make an account yet for some reason it says captcha error. However, I don’t see CAPTCHA. 2600:1001:B01C:729C:8564:1897:2891:255F 18:53, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest the following: trying a different browser, trying a different connection (ie if you're on desktop, perhaps try mobile), clearing cache if you know how, and/or temporarily disabling blockers that may be interfering such as ublock or noscript. If this issue persists, I suggest sending a message to sre@miraheze.org along with your desired username, so worst case scenario they may be able to create an account in your stead. The captcha service itself may be an issue, but these steps in the meantime may do the job. --Raidarr (talk) 14:44, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question about dormancy policy pertaining my wiki[edit | edit source]

gnd.miraheze.org - My wiki is private and only for myself. I use it as a more professional way to flesh out the universe of a personal story. Many of the pages will be character / item and location bios, these would only change in the event that i develop more for my world.. As i've set this as a private wiki, nobody else is helping me with this or has access.

I left a note on my wiki's request when i was filling it out asking whether the dormancy policy would still count for me even with the above given but it seems it wasn't answered.

If i had to fit my situation to one of the exemptions detailed, it would probably fit the first one: "Wikis made to be read, where a lot of information is already on wiki and doesn't need to be actively edited"

I'd appreciate any insight as to whether i qualify for an exemption from the dormancy policy.

P.S;I plan to do this for another wiki i am currently requesting, which will be following the same format; Private Wiki that acts as an archive for my project, with loads of written data that will see very little changes. I will cross reference this topic in that request too.

I'm sorry if my writing is not clear, i will be more than happy to re-explain anything that doesn't make sense. thank you once again, sorry for any inconvenience. NA19 (talk) 05:02, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@NA19: For future reference, please note that inactivity exemptions are not granted by wiki creators and thus, asking for an exemption in a wiki request won't lead you to have the exemption granted. If you meet the requirements for an exemption as outlined in Dormancy Policy then a Steward will mark your wiki as exempt from inactivity per this request. Hope this helps :) Agent Isai Talk to me! 17:49, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've added this to my radar and will be looking into whether or not the wiki qualifies for exemption shortly. -- Void Whispers 18:57, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stewards? Please[edit | edit source]

I asked for five wikis (I think this is the right number), in different languages, but with the same purpose and category. The goal is to make the wiki I manage multilingual. I ask that some admin put me as an Interwiki Admin on each of these wikis. I already have over 500 edits (22,000 globally, with 20,000 on this wiki and another 1,000 globally) and I intend to be an interwiki administrator for all of these wikis. Do you help? thanks

And about the my time... today is Saturday. Feel free to ask any kind of question at any time. Today I have nothing to do YellowFrogger (talk) 15:07, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@YellowFrogger: As noted on this page, there are requirements for local Interwiki Administrator. On smaller wikis, per convention, it may be possible to grant you these rights should no local community exist (per these discussions: 1, 2). On wikis with a community, you will have to hold an election. Agent Isai Talk to me! 17:44, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Without generalizing, but this is the second time you talk to me like that. I will see these links submitted by you and review. Now about the election: I'm going to take action, something harmless, but sometimes it might not be good. YellowFrogger (talk) 19:25, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
What is "grant" rights? YellowFrogger (talk) 19:27, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
'Grant' is another word for 'give' in this case. --Raidarr (talk) 10:39, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

interwiki admin request for onibuswiki, svonibuswiki and esonibuswiki[edit | edit source]

Can I have interwiki-admin for onibus.miraheze.org, svonibus.miraheze.org, and esonibus.miraheze.org?, there's no community

Note: I've already placed this request, but it hasn't gained engagement (i removed the old), so I'm doing it again as it seems there are few stewards currently available on Miraheze. Sorry if this bothers you.

Criteria:

  • Hold bureaucrat rights on the local wiki: yes
  • Have had a Miraheze account for (a) at least two (2) weeks prior to requesting or (b) the two (2) month global user longevity requirement above: Registered: 2020-10-06
  • Have made either (a) 500 edits on the local wiki where requested or (b) the 1,000 global edit requirement above: Total edits: 22,200
  • Comply with any additional local rules governing the selection of local interwiki administrators

Thanks. YellowFrogger (talk) 19:35, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Namespace translation glitches on Nonciclopedia[edit | edit source]

Hello. I am an interface administrator at Nonciclopedia. The wiki is in italian and namespace translations encounter strange gliches, which result in redlinks where there should be a page, categories getting messed up etc etc can anyone help? MrApocalisse (talk) 18:37, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can you provide a more clear example of where this is happening? I'm not sure I see anything wrong, but I also haven't looked very far yet. -- Void Whispers 23:24, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
User talks and page talks.
also if you use the search function it's easier to see untranslated namespaces, just use the searh functiona nd if you try to select namespaces from the chack boxes you can see several are unstranslated
Also, what happens sometimes is that the translation turns off and on, it will treat a "Discussione:" page which is a talk page, like regular one, until you refresh the page MrApocalisse (talk) 06:16, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also, when editing, what might happen is that you were visualizing the correct version of the page when reading but as as soon as you go to edit, sometimes it reverts back to the version of the page that has the "Discussione:"(Talk) or "Discussioni utente:"(Page talk) not seen as translated namespaces, so it treats it as it if were something from the main namespace. this can also inadvertently create two pages with the exact same name, that can cause other weirdness when trying to access the correct one MrApocalisse (talk) 07:42, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've asked for someone else to take a look at this. If you want to guarantee that this will be investigated by a sysadmin, I would recommend you compile this information into a Phabricator task so it can be better tracked by that team. -- Void Whispers 19:02, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:Infinite0694 and User:Matiia[edit | edit source]

Could you also explain a bit further? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 12:59, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
DarkMatterMan4500 Hello I ask it here for check. Fffv7787 (talk) 19:57, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If you mean to perform a CU on them, it can't compare the data of metawikimedia and miraheze meta. To put it simply, CheckUser isn't needed here. These accounts were created long ago and, personally, I don't think we need to check if they are the same person considering their inactivity on miraheze. Yes, it may be the impersonation of those accounts but it is too late to ask them either. In case they began contributing, we may leave them a note on meta Wikimedia to confirm. --Mazzaz (talk) 09:10, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Mazzaz OK, thank you. Fffv7787 (talk) 12:13, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If it hasn't been fixed, try getting out of the editor and do the 'golden rules' of getting rid of errant bugs in order - force reload page, restart browser, and clear browser cache as something might have gotten confused, especially with VisualEditor. --Raidarr (talk) 10:35, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also, SN is not the best place for these kinds of tickets, please open a Phabricator ticket if this is still ongoing. -- Void Whispers 19:04, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There's something wrong with the comment section.[edit | edit source]

Whenever I add a comment to a page on a Reception Wiki, a reply to another comment that's older than the one I made always appears under my comments at the end of the comment section. This must be some kind of a bug, because it's very intrusive, and needs to be fixed. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 06:32, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The new version of the comments system sucks so hard, this is the worst version I ever had in Miraheze's history, for crying out loud. AlvaroNovaes-BR (talk) 06:52, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I know! It's making the comment sections unusable. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 07:22, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've also noticed on various reception wikis (the most regular users of the plugin that I know of) the issue as described here. Take your pick really, if direct links are needed. It is intermittent, much in the way of the obscure bug reported on discord a while back, but hopefully much more visible here. --Raidarr (talk) 11:15, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Are you saying this can't be fixed? SuperStreetKombat (talk) 19:52, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Many days back ago, I posted my video on Discord showing the problems of the comments system. AlvaroNovaes-BR (talk) 00:55, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That's very good evidence of the issue, and exactly what I'm going through, as well. I couldn't even find another way of showing evidence of the situation at hand. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 03:07, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I was just going to make a discussion about this, until I realised there already was one. Anyway, I agree it's annoying as f**k.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Musicismylife (talkcontribs) 06:24, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I tried uploading a file here that shows the bug, but the abuse filter is preventing me. Anyway, the same thing happened. Don't get me wrong, I see that you're trying to improve, but these new updates have a lot of bugs and errors that are annoying and need to be fixed. Yeah, and look at this. Musicismylife (talk) 01:10, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone open (or link to an existing) Phabricator ticket for this issue? It might not be a problem we can solve ourselves, but you are actually more likely to get a response from a sysadmin who can investigate (and possibly resolve) the problem. Be sure to follow mw:How to report a bug — it may be oriented for use at WMF, but it still shows good practice for reporting an issue. -- Void Whispers 19:11, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

warning, very beware!!!!!!!!!![edit | edit source]

I discover that you don't need to be an interwiki admin to put interwiki links on a page. For example: I put this link [[En:Apache Vip IV]] on this page and it stayed there in other languagues, the word "English" (because a steward (I think it was the Dmehus) put an interwiki prefix in english for me 1 year ago)

See this page to see the interwikis prefixs: https://onibus.miraheze.org/wiki/Especial:Interwikis.

Can a steward (or administrator interwiki) put this link: https://svonibus.miraheze.org/ as prefix language "sv - svenska" and this https://esonibus.miraheze.org/ as language prefix "es - español"? Thanks.

And on other wikis you do the same (for example: on svenska version, you put an interwiki prefix there (on all, got it)) YellowFrogger (talk) 23:13, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's time[edit | edit source]

The following wikis need their database names changed:

  • terribletvshowswiki -> terribleshowsandepisodeswiki
  • besttvshowswiki -> bestshowsandepisodeswiki
  • dreadfulbookswiki -> dreadfulliteraturewiki
  • wonderfulbookswiki -> magnificentliteraturewiki

Note: For length reasons, I wrote the database names rather than the actual URL names.

This was proposed in the early stages of the rebrand, but was delayed when the rebrand got derailed after the user in charge of the rebrand, FreezingTNT, was demoted and blocked. Since the rest of the rebrand is complete, it is time to rename the wikis. The actual wiki names themselves have been updated, but not the database names/domain names. Please file a Phabricator task ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (     online) 17:54, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Idk how to do that. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 20:23, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't this the domain of an existing bureaucrat on those wikis, not for someone else to decide for them? Raidarr (talk) 20:37, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This was decided already as a part of the Rebrand. Since you seem to not know much about this rebrand, I will catch you up on your talk page. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 15:08, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I will inform you how structural changes work on Miraheze in turn. Things are ideally done with community consensus, including wide-reaching votes and ideally the system known as Request for Comment. If such does not happen, the legitimacy of any initiative - including the rebrand which, as you linked, was primarily driven by a few members of the conversation making all the decisions - is not binding at all. Quite a bit of the context has additionally changed since then; you are pushing a plan that has not updated for the times including current membership and management. Without that there is the second level, the staff of the wikis themselves to make decisions. Per Miraheze policy, things like this are filed on Phabricator, and phabricator tasks regarding wikis should be filed by bureaucrats from those wikis. I quote this line in particular,
"All Miraheze users are free to file bug reports and to give feedback. However, for more sensitive issues such as custom domain requests, article imports, database name changes, changing of restricted settings, among others, it is recommended that bureaucrats should be filing those issues. Even if you are a sysop, it is recommended a bureaucrat files the task. "
And since the bureaucrats have changed significantly since that discussion, it's probably a good idea to get them to comment. As anointed leader, DarkMatterMan would be the best choice. Frankly, it's not your place to be making the request, nor to tell people 'this was decided' as though it was decided in a legitimate way that can be actioned on by Stewards or Sysadmins of this platform. It's not that I think these database name changes are a bad idea - I support them as logical - but the way you are going about this is simply off, much as I've attempted to explain to you on QP itself. --Raidarr (talk) 16:33, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
X mark.svg Not done. You have neither the authority, nor requisite community consensus to implement such a change. -- Void Whispers 18:49, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This doesn't need community consensus because this was proposed during the initial stages of the rebrand. As a matter of fact, the rebrand didn't have community consensus. There was no consensus for the wiki renames, the wiki merges, anything. It was decided, and since FreezingTNT, Trevor807, and Masson Thief are gone it is my duty to carry out the final stages of the rebrand. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 22:19, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Blubabluba9990 It's actually up to the bureaucrats (including myself) to decide the final verdict of the subdomain names, and I don't think that needs any changing whatsoever. It's fine just how it is. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 22:22, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Fine. It doesn't really matter since the actual names of those wikis have been changed anyway. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 22:52, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Evil asshole harassing me and banning me on wikis i did nothing wrong on.[edit | edit source]

This user Blazikeye535 is an evil harasser. He banned me on wikis i did nothing wrong on. I want this user demoted and GLOBALLY LOCKED!! And no questions asked. He even said i act like a child, when in fact i don't. GLOBALLY LOCK HIM NOW!!!

He called my name MoronWario. Haha I'm so funny.. He's a unfunny bitch. MountWario (talk) 19:01, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wow. That was not a mature response, was it? In addition, judging by what I've seen on Awesome Games Wiki, your block was justified since you were re-adding things that admins had deleted previously and really had nothing to do with the topic of the page and acted childish over your block. Marxo Grouch (talk) 19:47, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If anything, the OP seems like a good candidate for a global lock if this is the extent of his activities on Miraheze. Raidarr (talk) 20:07, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Raidarr I am not at all impressed with MountWario's unacceptable conduct towards users. He should be lucky he's not locked at all. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 23:27, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well, i want a 2nd chance but he took away my TPA, i shouldn't have it taken away. Can someone give it back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MountWario (talkcontribs)

Question[edit | edit source]

Hello! I created a template for the pages I copied from Wikipedia, but if I changed the words it will need to be inserted? Thanks! Fffv7787 (talk) 17:30, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Fffv7787: Could you elaborate? If you change the words in the template, it will also change what's displayed on pages using the template without having to remove it and readd it. Agent Isai Talk to me! 01:40, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Agent Isai I mean that if I copy content from Wikipedia to my wiki but change the words on the page I copied I will need the copyright template? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fffv7787 (talkcontribs)
In good-faith, you should credit the original source directly if it is all copied, credit the original source for every section that remains copied, and if you rewrite sections, rewrite basically the entire page in your own words. At that point it's more lax, but you may as well note Wikipedia as the prominent source if that's what it is. --Raidarr (talk) 07:59, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you :) Fffv7787 (talk) 09:55, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How about we make these wikis:[edit | edit source]

How about we make these wikis:

Store reception wikis

Food reception wikis

Celebrities reception wikis

DVD reception wikis

Any other reception wikis

That's the thing. MarioBobFan (talk) 22:37, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to request them in Special:RequestWiki. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 00:02, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Request them if you can handle them. Note that multiple of those categories are problematic to do in premise and would likely get very, very little traffic. I'd frankly say, how about not; instead consider contributing to something like "The New Reception Wiki", which despite its flaws does encompass a great deal of content in its premise and is less likely to fall dead by being too specific. --Raidarr (talk) 00:51, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Agreeing with the above. We don't really need any more reception wikis right now. The New Reception Wiki is enough for those topics. Marxo Grouch (talk) 18:00, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There's a user who needs to be globally locked.[edit | edit source]

There's a user by the name of Hamzat213 who keeps posting political comments mostly about supporting communism, and breaks his promise not to do so anymore after getting unblocked, and now he's gone out of his way to make a hate blog about me on LCW, and even threatens to commit suicide if I block him on that wiki (which I even can't), so now I believe it's time for this user to be globally locked because of how much trouble he's caused and he can't be trusted on Qualitipedia anymore. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 18:42, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not being trusted on QP is not necessarily cause for lock across the entire Miraheze problem, which is much bigger than the reception wikis themselves. Nonetheless, his only action seems to be on those wikis and he doesn't strike me as acting in good faith. --Raidarr (talk) 21:29, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
So, let's block him on all Reception Wikis, so that he won't bother any of us again. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 21:40, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
These reception wikis... every time I go here, there's a problem, and it's always related to reception wikis. Miraheze has to be careful when hosting these types of wikis, or else strengthen self-patrolling on these reception wikis. Also, they say that everything is horrible too, without fear (although I agree with some). YellowFrogger (talk) 23:09, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
