Lock these fake Elias D accounts.

The following accounts are: EliasD, ItsElias, EliasD Alt, EliasAnimate2020, EliasTheVyonder2001, EliasTheVyonder2002, EliasTheVyonder 2002 Returns, and Elias D The Vyonder. They were basically created to harass other users on the Horrible Vyonders Wiki while it was still around. @Reception123: and the other admins should lock these accounts as soon as they can, as I was trying to tell you guys this whole time. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 20:52, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

I've only just had time to look into this. It is now done. -- Void Whispers 02:25, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

I would like this wiki of mine to be closed

I would like the Dreadful Music wiki that I made to be closed as I don't need it anymore. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 20:25, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: If you just want the wiki to be closed, you can do this yourself at Special:ManageWiki on the wiki. By steward convention, manually closed wikis are ineligible for adoption at Requests for adoption. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 20:52, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: I actually meant to say that I want my Dreadful Music wiki to be deleted. Sorry for the mix-up. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 20:55, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
@DarkMatterMan4500: Okay, no problem then. A steward should look at your request in the next couple of weeks (i.e., wiki deletion requests have typically given lower priority than, say, handling cross-wiki vandalism, abuse of multiple accounts reports, global renames, etc.). I will monitor your request and relist, as appropriate, to prevent the bot from archiving it. Dmehus (talk) 21:00, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

Lock these vandals on

Pogggggg2847529457, Lazar123, and Pogggghg8292 are all vandalizing pages on this wiki by uploading inappropriate photos onto pages. Please lock their accounts immediately and delete the photos immediately. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 19:04, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: I'm not familiar with those users, so don't doubt that they are likely to be vandalism only accounts, but I just thought I should comment that that there's been a request on steward mediation regarding that wiki and another 8b8t Miraheze customer wiki in the irc-relay channel on Discord. I doubt those users are related to the user who requested mediation, but just thought I should note this in the thread for the actioning Global Sysop. Dmehus (talk) 19:07, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Well, I think you should go take a look at the wiki anyway, and possibly remove those inappropriate pictures from there. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 19:11, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
@DarkMatterMan4500: Oh, yeah, I don't doubt that the pictures should be removed, and if I were a Global Sysop or steward, I would. However, I am not that yet, as I am just a clerk on these noticeboards. So I will leave that for a Global Sysop or steward to review and remove. Thank you for your report. Dmehus (talk) 19:18, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Why don't we have @Reception123: do it too? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 19:24, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
Despite the vandalism being local, due to the fact that multiple accounts were used by the same user which violates the User accounts policy, I've decided to lock all three accounts globally. I've also nuked the images. Reception123 (talk) (C) 19:28, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
@Reception123: Can you do the same thing to WhyTheHellDoYouBrushYourTeeethAtWork as well? He also vandalized pages. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 19:34, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
Zppix has already blocked this user locally. I don't see any evidence of vandalism on other wikis, so for the time being I don't see a reason to lock this account at a global level. If there is cross-wiki vandalism though, please let us know here. Reception123 (talk) (C) 13:36, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

Please lock Hey maboys

This guy has been vandalizing a page by blanking the page Please lock them. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 12:14, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: I think I have mentioned this before, but please note that global locks are usually performed in cases of cross-wiki vandalism, spambots or any other global policy violations (including abusing multiple accounts). It is unnecessary to lock an account for merely performing one single edit on one single wiki. The user can very well be blocked locally to prevent further vandalism and if it spreads to (an) other wiki(s) then they can be reported for a global lock. Reception123 (talk) (C) 13:43, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
@Reception123: Well okay then. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:19, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

(edit conflict) @Cocopuff2018: I believe that it is unreasonable to ask Stewards to go on a witch hunt for these several IPs without any sort of indication of evidence or suspicious behavior from an actual user that would be editing from these IPs. Unless there is a user on your wiki that you believe is vandalizing from all these different IPs (with evidence to why you think this) a CheckUser cannot be done. Local CheckUser and Oversight

I want to do CheckUser and Oversight in my wiki, gomdoliwiki. What should I do? --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 00:24, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

@Gomdoli4696: This is a good-faith question, and a somewhat frequent one of new Mirahezians. Unfortunately, because CheckUser and Oversight provide for access to privileged information, the tools are, unfortunately, not used by anyone other than stewards. System administrators can use the tools, but only in very limited circumstances, mainly relating to Miraheze Terms of Use enforcement. If you believe a user is contravening user accounts policy, you can supply diffs and other behavioural evidence in a report on this noticeboard or via e-mail to In terms of the latter, generally, requests for suppression should follow the Oversight global guidelines and policy; however, stewards may consider other requests for suppressing revisions, with a well articulated reason. Requests for suppressing revisions should never be made on-wiki, and instead e-mailed to Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 01:21, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

Can you PLEASE close down Horrible Music and Songs Wiki? (Please, notice this stewards)

The one on FANDOM caused a lot of drama, and the recreated version on Miraheze could potentially break the rules here and catch drama as well. Besides, you guys don't want these kinds of wikis to be ruining the site, right? So could you please close down the wiki? @John: @Void: I think it could be violating the Terms of Use or Content Policy. - (talk) 19:57, 22 September 2020 (UTC) We can't delete wikis just because the other one that's similar to the on Miraheze is worse, plus i don't really think it breaks any notable policies i can think of. OpenRISC (talk) 16:15, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
@OpenRISC What I noticed, though, is that this wiki talks about a lot of singers, and singers are people, so this wiki could technically be seen as a place to encourage hate on singers, who are real-life people. So doesn't that break one of the rules on here? - (talk) 18:23, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
They have the right to make a wiki about that topic if they wish, Making Wiki's about hate on singers does not break terms of use or code of conduct therefore unless the wiki is breaking terms of use or code of conduct nothing we can do about it i would suggest not interacting/or editing the wiki if you do not Like the wiki (: — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cocopuff2018 (talkcontribs) 13:21, 24 September 2020
First of all, I would like to note that while some Reception wikis were recently closed due to Content Policy violations, that does not mean that every one of those wikis are problematic and must be automatically closed. The title of the wiki could indicate that its purpose is to criticize and/or discuss songs. I would like to remind that the Content Policy only applies to "unsubstantiated insult, hate or rumours against a person or group of people". If you however do think that this is the case for this wiki, please do provide specific examples of pages in order for them to be investigated. Unless specific evidence is provided there is no case to close this wiki. Reception123 (talk) (C) 13:34, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
I think that this revision of this page would be an example of unsubstantiated hate on Doja Cat. Before the current revision, it gave stupid reasons with little to no evidence about why she is a bad singer, like in this revision, for example. - (talk) 15:10, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
The Stewards can't close a wiki because of the fandom version causing drama. As stated it can only be closed if its been founded to break any notable policy Codeingit (talk) 14:11, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

Please delete my account, I am being bullied

Hello, I would like to request the anonymization of my account. Please change my username to a random name to protect my privacy. I am being bullied on Nonciclopedia by this anonymous user, who added defamation to my user page. Thank you. Gabngst (talk) 19:11, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

@Gabngst: While it is not possible to delete accounts, you can request your personal information be removed from your user account and your account be renamed; however, this is not within stewards' purview. You will need to e-mail your request to, and a system administrator will take it from there. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 19:55, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
@Gabngst: Nevertheless, bullying is never okay, per Code of Conduct, and a steward or Global Sysop can look into that anonymous user's contributions and mitigate the problem appropriately. Dmehus (talk) 19:57, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. I believe Nonciclopedia is a very problematic wiki: it should be a Wikipedia parody, but in fact it's a vandal magnet. This anonymous user keeps returning after being blocked multiple times. You can see here that the global sysop MrJaroslavik already blocked many IPs, and they could all be the same person.
Can you please delete my user page on Nonciclopedia and then protect it to prevent creation? Gabngst (talk) 08:18, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
@Gabngst: Okay, I will {{ping}} @Zppix:, another Global Sysop to take a look at that wiki and also to delete and creation protect at sysop level, as a Global Sysop action your local user page. Zppix is also a system administrator, so you can contact him privately via e-mail regarding the redaction of your account's personal information, should you wish to go through with that. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 23:11, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for your help. I have sent an email to Zppix to request the anonymization of my account. Gabngst (talk) 10:00, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
@Gabngst: Okay, sounds good. Regarding deletion of your local user page on that wiki, it has been apparently blanked and sysop-protected by Void. If you are satisfied with this outcome, please let me know. If not and would favour deletion and creation protection at sysop, please let me know, and I will be sure and {{ping}} Void or another steward. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 10:43, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: I would prefer it to be deleted and protected so that only administrators can create it again. Also, please check out this IP, who insulted me, Void and Zppix in edit summaries. Gabngst (talk) 12:11, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
@Gabngst: Okay, thank you for clarifying. I will {{ping}} @Void and Zppix: to this thread, both to investigate the apparent further anonymous vandalism occurring on that wiki and also to delete and creation protect at sysop your deleted local user page. Dmehus (talk) 12:22, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

@Codeingit: Thank you for your comment. I would just point out that, unless it is something like very clear and credible threats of harm, system administrators do not handle on-wiki bullying. This sort of thing would be considered harassment and is covered by the Code of Conduct, which is overseen by stewards. Hope that clarifies. Dmehus (talk) 23:11, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Can you global Rabbet hoal please

He told Stephenfisher2001 to have an unhappy birthday, he also threatened Necropolis saying "don't make me harass you in discord", proof is here HellLord (talk) 09:25, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

@HellLord: I think I've repeated this quite a few times on this page, but global locks are really only for cross-wiki vandalism, spam or violating global policies (such as abusing multiple accounts or an inappropriate username). It is honestly quite ridiculous for you to be requesting a lock for someone wishing someone an "unhappy birthday". Yes, it is obviously not a very nice thing to do but it is no where near to be a "lockable offense". If you feel that they may be someone who is abusing multiple accounts and you have indications of this please let us know, but an account will not be locked for simply saying one not very nice thing to someone, which I wouldn't even consider to be an insult really. For this case, I feel that a local block is sufficient to cease the trolling/insulting comments (the one regarding the harassing). Reception123 (talk) (C) 10:52, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
@Reception123:, to my words on Rabbet hoal, he's actually a Konstantinodinokov55 alt. He's been attacking Necropolis on other Discord servers and even stalks on him when he comes to various Discord servers. --Hookuai (Talk to Nuclear Jaws) 05:44, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
@Hookuai: Responding to your message, I would just note that if someone is contravening the Code of Conduct on Discord and/or IRC, that doesn't necessarily translate into sanctions on-wiki. Any warnings, sanctions, and the like should be appropriate and relevant to the channel(s) where the policy violations are potentially occurring. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 12:42, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

Please lock New XanderMartin98

If you were to look at this, you're gonna find out that this guy has a history of bringing his inappropriate behavior onto the All The Tropes Wiki. Also, this guy has been abusing multiple accounts according to this block reason: "Abusing multiple accounts AND Inserting false information or nonsense/gibberish into pages: Dug up info man is an unrepentant troublemaker dragging his perversions and rule breaking way here. See this for more info:" DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 10:47, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: Do you have links to the user's Miraheze on-wiki behaviour? We can only consider evidence present on Miraheze wikis, as well as Miraheze Discord and IRC servers in the course of potential next steps. As well, such problematic behaviour would need to be substantial and significant and not just occasional problems—that is a generally constructive contributor who occasionally causes problems may warrant a local block(s) or some sort of other sanctions. In terms of global locking, as @Reception123: and I have stated on this noticeboard and elsewhere, global locks are principally used for vandalism only accounts or single purpose trolling accounts where there is zero or almost no constructive contributions, spam only accounts, Username Policy violations, or for contraventions of either user accounts policy where the user showed problems of revisiting existing wikis where blocked and causing similar problems. Even if those problems are present, the user would need to be causing problems on two (three is better) or more wikis. As well, to that I would just add that my personal preference is where those two wikis are under the same shared local administration and bureaucrats as the first wiki, a local block may still be all that's needed. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 12:50, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: This should be useful: DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 12:55, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
@DarkMatterMan4500: Thank you for the on-wiki link, but I would just note that user is  locally blocked, and the account you've reported, XanderMartin98, doesn't exist on that wiki, so there's no user accounts policy violation. It is fine if a user attempts a clean start with a different account and does not revisit the same wikis where they were locally blocked. As well, when reporting users who are not single-purpose vandalism only or spam only accounts, a personal best practice I recommend is to {{ping}} them to your report, as part of good due process. You can see the example in the {{ping}} I've added to the section header for you. Dmehus (talk) 13:07, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
@DarkMatterMan4500: Actually, upon looking into this further, the user you've reported, XanderMartin98, does not exist globally, and the referenced user is only locally blocked on All The Tropes wiki and your Crappy Games Wiki, to which the user has never contributed. Unless you have a second account showing where the user has visited both of those wikis and caused problems, this looks to be  locally handled. Dmehus (talk) 13:14, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

Global ban evading user

I found out that a user is evading a global ban:

The links added above show revisions where he admitted to be locked. You may also need check the user's infobox on his user page. Waldo (talk) 19:23, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

@Waldo: First, a procedural comment...a user being locked does not equate to a "global ban" or even a "global lock." It just means that the user has been sanctioned for inappropriately contravening one or more of our global policies. Second, you've not identified original locally blocked or locked user account to which you believe this user account is linked. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 21:04, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: I was going to but Reception changed the old account's name to MirahezeG something. It used to be OisinFan62 but as I said it got changed, due to ToU. Also, one of the links specifically said the account of locked on Miraheze specifically. The infobox on the user page also says the user is 12 years old and I didn't want to be type it outright because it felt inhumane but it looks like you've forced me to say it. Oversight what I said later, please (to someone who can). Also, I'm new so please be nicer instead of grouchy. Waldo (talk) 21:51, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
@Waldo: That sounds like a random hash that Miraheze system administrators will rename users to related to the UK's Data Protection Regulation, which is functionally similar to the EU's General Data Protection Regulation. Nevertheless, this is outside the purview of stewards. I would suggest you e-mail if you believe the above-named user is related to a previous user. I'm not certain which random hash you believe the user is related to, but you should include those details in your e-mail message to system administrators. Dmehus (talk) 21:59, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: OK, I did that (I think I forgot some details though). Thanks for the help! Waldo (talk) 22:32, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
@Waldo: That's great, and no problem. I've alerted one of the system administrators privately on Discord as well. I am sorry if my above post seemed "grouchy." Certainly that wasn't what I was wanting and, indeed, that's the first time I've ever been referred to as grouchy. Nevertheless, I'm sorry if my initial reply was not as well received. Dmehus (talk) 22:41, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: It's all fine. I'm sorry as well. I now believe I was misinterpreting the approach and I don't think I should have reacted the way I did. Anyway, thanks again! Waldo (talk) 23:04, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
@Waldo: Okay, that's great then. Thanks! Dmehus (talk) 23:36, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

Cross-wiki deletion request

Please delete . I want to global sysop, but I'm not. --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 12:29, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

@Gomdoli4696: Are the local administrators on that wiki inactive? If so, you've come to the right place, and a Global Sysop or steward should be able to action your request shortly. Regarding your request for global rights as a Global Sysop, this seems like it may be related to this request. The reasoning for your request is very short, and, if I'm being completely honest with you, your request is unlikely to be successful on that basis. While not an official prerequisite for Global Sysop, significant activity on Meta, monitoring the global abuse log, making reports, responding to requests, answering questions, patrolling, and really anything else is sort of an unofficial prerequisite for the role. Since no one has voted in your request, you can boldly undo your request, or ask me to do that. Dmehus (talk) 14:24, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: This wiki's local sysop's last contribute is 1 month ago. Where can I request to global sysop? Thanks, --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 22:41, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
@Gomdoli4696: Global Sysops do revert obvious vandalism and remove obvious spam in absence of local administrators, absolutely. However, to obtain that role, one typically needs to have significant experience on Meta, helping users on the noticeboards, helping users on Discord and IRC, and helping in other ways. If that wiki is without local administrators, what you might consider is holding a local election. Firstly, though, check this page to see if any bureaucrats on the wiki had made contributions or log actions in the past month. If so, you could ask that bureaucrat about making you an administrator. If not, look around on the wiki for any local policies governing local permissions requests or elections. If one exists, then follow those procedures to request administrator and/or bureaucrat permissions. If none exists, then you will need to create a local election page in a prominent location on the local wiki. There you would state the number and type of position(s) up for election, the candidate(s) running, the number of position(s) to be filled, how long the election shall run for (typically 5-7 calendar days minimum), and the required support ratio. You should also state whether the election is declared successful if no one expresses a supportive view but there is also no opposition, either (i.e., an election by acclamation). Once that's done and the election concluded, return to stewards' noticeboard, and post a new thread, linking to the local election page and any local policies, and a steward will assess your election and grant rights in absence of a local bureaucrat. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 22:56, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: But I'm curious how to "requesting deletion" to another Global sysop. Thanks, Gomdoli4696 (talk) 23:01, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
@Gomdoli4696: I'm sorry, but I don't understand your follow up question. Can you clarify what you are asking a bit? I assumed you are find that wiki needs constant attention of Global Sysops, due to inactive local administrators, so I merely wanted to suggest ways in which you might be able to get yourself appointed or elected as a local administrator, since you don't yet qualify for the Global Sysop role. If you don't want to be a local administrator, that is fine, and you can report requests for deleting local pages either on this noticeboard, in the Miraheze Discord server, in the #miraheze-cvt connect IRC channel, or via e-mail to Be sure to link to the local pages requiring deletion, and the reason(s) for deletion. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 23:19, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Inactive Account On

An inactive person named VetaVeta has been inactive for a while now, and I'm starting to think that he made another account, can you delete this account if possible? If not possible that would be ok too. MWikiFan 16:53, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Not done BOLDly. @MWikiFan:, for one thing, we don't delete accounts, even they are inactive. There are ways to redact and rename one's account, but this would have to be requested by @VetaVeta:, who is not even inactive, having recently requested to adopt that wiki at Requests for adoption on Meta last month. Lock FortRan98

This guy may have been blocked for vandalism, but however, he decided to send me a foe request for no reason the other day. I don't think this guy should be around if he's just gonna vandalize articles. I suggest a global lock to be in place so he won't cause anymore trouble around this community. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 23:18, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: I had a look through nearly all of the contributions on that wiki, one of only two wikis on which this user was locally blocked, and, other than two or three diffs, I didn't see anything that would be construed, in a global/Meta context, as vandalism. There were some diffs that, yes, would be construed as vandalism, but some of the edits were constructive (i.e., replacing one section header that said "why it sucks" with "why it needs to be fixed"). The user could do well to communicate better and explain his or her edits with edit summaries, but I'm not seeing anything that would be construed, from the perspective of global functionaries, as blatant vandalism. There was also this thoughtful, compassionate blog post on Amazing YouTubers wiki. Vandalism only accounts are not known for these sort of constructive, thoughtful edits. It's important also to remember that there's a difference between locally defined vandalism and blatant vandalism in a globally defined context. In other words, what local administrators view as vandalism may not equate vandalism for the purpose of defining a vandalism only account. As to the point about the foe request, well, that seems to be something related to the SocialProfile extension, but would be any user's right to do that and hardly even worth a local block let alone a global lock. So, this seems to be  locally handled, I'd say, as the user is locally blocked on two wikis, and, on the other wikis, the user appears to be behaving themselves and even being constructive. Dmehus (talk) 01:17, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Alright then. I guess I won't have to worry about it. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 11:35, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

POWDER wiki admin transfer

I am the sole user of this wiki to my knowledge. I used to be the admin under the handle Fizlocke but forgot my password and had no recovery email. Please transfer admin rights to MaximoMaxim. MaximoMaxim (talk) 04:23, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

@MaximoMaxim: Okay, this is why you should always have a confirmed recovery e-mail address for your account(s). Nevertheless, if you only logged in to your Fizlocke user account with the same IP address, it may be possible for a system administrator to (a) verify this and (b) request some sort of government-issued photo identification to confirm your identity. You would need to e-mail to do this, though. Otherwise, there's no provision in our global policies to simply transfer your administrator privileges from one user account to another. I suppose you could consent to a steward performing a CheckUser on you, but if the results were inconclusive, then they still would not be able to transfer rights from your apparent old account to your newer account, and even then, since there's no global policy on self-requested CheckUser requests, it would be entirely within steward discretion to either accept or reject/decline your request. So, really, your best option is actually a local election. Assuming your wiki has no local permissions request policies or other election rules, you would create an election page on that wiki, on a prominent page, stating the number and type of position(s) you're running for (i.e., administrator, bureaucrat), the name(s) of the candidate(s) running, how long the election shall run for, the minimum support ratio required for a successful election, and whether an election can be declared successful after the minimum timeframe if no one expresses a view (i.e., election by acclamation). Once your process has concluded (recommended to last for at least 5-7 calendar days), return to stewards' noticeboard and, in a new thread, state the wiki address, local location of the election, and a steward will assess your local election in absence of a local bureaucrat. Please lock this account

Hi, I'd like to request for a global lock on this account:

This is an alt made by a previously globalled user called Zenko just to evade their ban, and it's name is Zenko's other alt, VosKitsune with an extra Vos. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1008:b04f:f892:88d8:eea2:887c:4ede (talkcontribs) 19:16, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

2600:1008:b04f:f892:88d8:eea2:887c:4ede, firstly, (Please sign your posts on talk pages by using four tildes like this: ~~~~.).
Secondly, regarding your "report," to the extent it is that, you have not provided any evidence, typically in the forum of easily verifiable recent contributions and, ideally, in the form of diffs. As well, much like we discount the !votes of anonymous editors in permissions requests on Meta, we cannot credibly or realistically take into account the reports of anonymous users, mainly around reasons of procedural fairness and due process for the accused. Thirdly, the user whom who note has not been "globally banned," as you incorrectly claim. Their account was globally locked, yes, mainly relating to contravention of user accounts policy on local wikis on which they were locally blocked. It would not be a contravention of user accounts policy for a user to begin a clean start on other Miraheze wikis on which they were not blocked, provided, of course, they didn't revisit and resume similar problems that led to their being locally blocked on those wikis. Finally, I would just note that several of those wikis on which the user was originally locally blocked have now been closed and made private by a steward following repeated, systemic Content Policy and Code of Conduct violations, which went unremediated despite numerous warnings by global functionaries. Many people have said it above this post. This wiki was closed for violating the Miraheze Content Policy and from the comments above I do not think anyone will be opening it again. DeeM28 (talk) 11:03, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

Unblock Bauerbach and remove Autoblock #6 on Short Stories & Prompts (

Please can you unblock Bauerbach and remove Autoblock #6 on Short Stories & Prompts ( I cannot really do anything on the wiki because I triggered one of my AbuseFilters I created and my IP address is the same as the one on the other account (the one I used to create the wiki and test the filter). I am the one who created the wiki, and other people are using it because I am using the wiki for a challenge I have created involving writing short stories. Can you please remove those blocks or revert the last actions taken by the abuse filter? BradleyTheGreat (talk) 17:07, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

@BradleyTheGreat: Thank you for your report, and for signing your posts on Meta with four tildes (~~~~). Assuming you don't have any other administrators on the wiki who can do this? If not, I will {{ping}} @Reception123, MrJaroslavik, and Zppix: here to handle this for you, as this seems like essentially a self-request. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 17:22, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

Global rename for GomdoliWiki bot

User creation log. Please rename, "GomdoliWiki bot" to "Gomdolibot". Thanks, Gomdoli4696 (talk) 05:13, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

@Gomdoli4696: Please use Special:GlobalRenameRequest in order to request a rename. Reception123 (talk) (C) 05:20, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
@Reception123: Must I login to my bot account? --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 05:23, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
@Gomdoli4696: Yes, you need to log into the account that is requesting the rename. Reception123 (talk) (C) 05:29, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
Okay. Thanks. --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 05:32, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
I requested. --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 05:50, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

Toxic Fandoms and Hatedoms Wiki

I was wanting to ask why has Toxic Fandoms and Hatedoms closed or shall I say is now a private wiki? What was the main reason for this?! GamingNerdMiraheze (talk) 13:15, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

@GamingNerdMiraheze: First, thank you for the question, though this has already been pretty well explained, I think, a little further up. Second, thank you for signing your posts with four tildes (~~~~). Finally, to your question, the decision by stewards to close, lock, and make private, or delete, a wiki is not taken lightly. This particular wiki had fairly egregious Code of Conduct violations by many of its users, in edit and block summaries but also in the content about users they wrote. As well, the wiki had systemic Content Policy issues with regard to publishing wholly negative and even defamatory content about users. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 14:24, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Thanks for the help, and am I able to view the Toxic Fandoms and Hatedoms wiki again anytime soon?! Even though it's private?! Like Atrocious YouTubers is a private wiki and I'm still able to read pages on it, but I will never vandalize them. GamingNerdMiraheze (talk) 14:45, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
@GamingNerdMiraheze: Unless you are a member or sysop on that wiki, you won't be able to view pages, no. In theory, when a wiki is locked and made private by a steward, the idea is that the wiki's local bureaucrats would remove and remediate all problematic content, after which a steward would need to review the remediation and reassess the wiki to see whether it now adheres to Content Policy. In reality, though, there was arguably little, if any, content that could otherwise be remediated and salvaged. So, in all likelihood, it'd end up as a wiki with no content pages. Moreover, this wiki's whole purpose arguably contravenes Content Policy in that its sole purpose is to trash talk a certain subset of so-called Reception wikis hosted by Miraheze and Fandoms. That in and of itself wouldn't necessarily be a problem on its own, but the problem becomes a major Content Policy issue when said negative content is written about users. Finally, since and before this wiki's closure, other wikis around which this wiki's negative content revolved have also been closed. So, this is, for better or for worse (for better in my view), this wiki will just cease to exist per Dormancy Policy. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 15:02, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

Lock Whatthewhere and his real account Mento

This guy has been harassing administrators and also spamming yap just like Mento does. Not to mention, you'll probably see why. He has been constantly spamming the wiki by saying yap, and even mocked one of the admins. I have a reason to believe that they are both the same person, as mentioned here. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 18:37, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: Thank you for your submission; however, I would just remind you that stewards and Global Sysops don't have time to do your research for you. You should link to specific revisions on each wiki, and show how the users are related or why or how they are violating global policies. For the one account, I saw a single diff, which wasn't even vandalism; it could be construed as potentially constructive. For the other, I saw some minor WikiGnome-type edits to rephrase page section headers; in other words, constructive editing. They could do well to use edit summaries, but I actually hardly see anything worth locally blocking over, let alone locking. Even if the contributions were block worthy, you haven't demonstrated how they're continuing to demonstrate the same behaviour on multiple wikis (i.e., more than two or three wikis not run by the same or similar local bureaucrats/administrators). In other words, since the behaviour is occurring on only these few local wikis, this seems to be  locally handled. Dmehus (talk) 18:49, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
The above is true, we would always prefer that you link to specific examples, however, I have locked the accounts for being a Vandalism only account Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 18:53, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus:, and @Zppix: Thank you for locking their accounts. I knew that they were both the same person anyways. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 19:12, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
@DarkMatterMan4500: Procedural point of clarification—it has not been proven that these users are the same. To be honest, I personally don't see sufficient behavioural evidence that confirms this finding beyond the shadow of a doubt. Dmehus (talk) 19:18, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: I don't doubt what you're saying at all. While yes, it hasn't been proven yet, but the only thing is that they both tended to say "Yap" in the comments section of other articles. Not sure if it's enough evidence to prove this, but that should be somewhat of a clue. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 19:25, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

I would like to put in a lock request for my alt account TheSuperKirbyGuy12

My alt account is TheSuperKirbyGuy12 Please lock it, as I only made that account because of what happened back in April, since there were some issues going on, especially when I couldn't automatically log in to this account immediately, so I made a new one. But since May 22, 2020, I was finally able to get back into this account. I don't really need my second Miraheze account anymore as I am satisfied using this account instead. Also, before you ask, I lost the password for my alternative Miraheze account. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 19:32, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: Does your apparent alternate account @TheSuperKirbyGuy12: have a registered and/or confirmed e-mail address attached to it? If so, then you can request a new password, sign in to that account, and provide the confirmation from that account to self-request it be locked. Otherwise, do you recall having provided a confirmation from that account of your DarkMatterMan4500 account on any Miraheze wiki? It doesn't have to be Meta, but just something we can link to, then any steward or Global Sysop can use that as the needed link and basis for locking that account per your request. If neither of the above, you could possibly e-mail to see what sort of identity verification measures system administrators may have to restore your access to that account. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 21:37, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Sadly, I can't remember the password at all for it. Why not just lock my "TheSuperKirbyGuy12" account now? Also, it is autoconfirmed, just so you know. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 22:35, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Can you close this thread right about now? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 23:07, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
@DarkMatterMan4500: Regarding closing the thread, there's no need for formal closure of this thread. It'll just naturally not see any replies and be archived. Anyway, regarding your question, the reason is because a steward or Global Sysop would need to be able to verify that the two accounts are linked. I'm not sure if we do self-requested CheckUser requests to verify that the two accounts are likely linked. If we do, it's probably very atypical. So you have no registered e-mail associated to your TheSuperKibyGuy12 account at all, and no personal information only you would know that a system administrator could use to verify account ownership with you through privately channels? Dmehus (talk) 01:39, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

Global lock for 2018년님이 왜 표리부동님 다중계정이라는거냐 븅신들아

Cross-wiki abuse and abusive username. See CentralAuth, this account has blocked on truthwiki, and vandalism on libertygame. Thanks, Gomdoli4696 (talk) 04:06, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

@Gomdoli4696: Thank you for your report. By way of this reply, I've also fixed a minor typo in the MirahezeMagic interwiki wikilink for truthwiki, and trust you won't mind. Regarding your report, thank you. We don't get a lot of requests for non-English Username Policy violations, so a Global Sysop or steward should review your report shortly and action it accordingly. Regarding truthwiki, not being a speaker of the Chinese languages, I'm unfamiliar if that wiki has systemic Content Policy violations on it or not, so any assistance you can provide in reviewing that wiki would be appreciated. Are there any problems with real peoples' personal information being posted, or does that wiki post wholly negative or defamatory content about individuals or groups of people? Dmehus (talk) 06:07, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
For references, truthwiki is Korean wiki.
and truthwiki is a humorous wiki, and this wiki is substitute wiki due to a server error in an 백괴사전(Korean Uncyclopedia).
translate this username into English, user 2018년 is not the same as user 표리부동, f****r guys.
More, I could only understand a little because I was not good at English. I answer well?
Thanks, Gomdoli4696 (talk) 06:41, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
@Gomdoli4696: Ah, that's fine then, and apologies for assuming it was a Chinese wiki. I am just a bit leery from some past problematic anti-mini world Chinese language wikis that had egregious Content Policy violations. A humourous Korean Uncyclopedia-type wiki should be just fine then. Yeah, your English responses seem fine to me. Apologies for my misunderstanding. Dmehus (talk) 06:46, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
Well, no problem. Thanks. then how about this user's lock? --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 06:50, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

@Gomdoli4696: I'm not a steward or Global Sysop, at least not currently anyway, so I'm just clerking this noticeboard in my capacity as administrator here on Meta, answering user questions, setting expectations, making referrals to team members, and more. I will nonetheless {{ping}} @Reception123 and Zppix: here regarding this likely Username Policy violation. Reception123 or Zppix? Dmehus (talk) 06:57, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
Note, libertygame local sysop has just blocked this user. --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 07:01, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the update. Since you noted that username contains the words "f****r guys" in it, it still constitutes a Korean language Username Policy violation, so either a lock or a short warning followed by a lock shortly thereafter where a global rename request was not requested does seem appropriate here. Beauty time for my little tiger. Doesn't Ronaldo look good. Yes. is apparently a vandalism only account judging by his "contributions" on here. I would highly advise you to globally lock this account, especially with all the evidence on all the wikis. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 15:28, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: @Hookuai: already reported this as a Username Policy violation, which, as I explained on Discord, probably qualifies as an obvious troll username, but we don't generally, by custom or past practice, like to lock solely on that basis. However, if the user is solely vandalizing, I would suggest a dual lock reason of Username Policy violation / vandalism only account, per the quasi-related small precedent.  Locked. Reception123 (talk) (C) 17:33, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

Content Policy Violators?

I'm now aware that Miraheze is closing wikis that are spreading drama and negativity. When did this start?

Also, I have wikis that aren't investigated. Real Live Villains Wiki and Trollpedia

RLVWiki - Mostly Rumours.

Trollpedia - Inciting Drama and Troll Feeding.

To anyone who know me, stop babbling that i'm going on another wiki snitching. Deal with it that I'm a strict person. --Zirukurt01 (talk) 01:24, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

@Zirukurt01: Well, Content Policy has always been a global policy, and stewards and Global Sysops have always acted with regard to very problematic content or conduct by local wiki users and administrators, particularly when the Code of Conduct is involved. Generally speaking, it involved reacting, and taking action on, specific instances. More recently, stepped up warnings have been given to users on those wikis from those global groups, and others, including myself as an active community volunteer but not in my capacity as a Code of Conduct Commission commissioner, as to this pervasive nature of the problems with the hope they would take heed of the advice being given (which they obviously did not). This increased enforcement and awareness as to the systemic and pervasive nature of the global policy violations, which went unremediated, are what precipitated the decision by stewards to close certain wikis. The first of those two wikis I am certainly aware of, as likely are others; however, the decision to close or lock and make private a wiki is not taken lightly. As such, your report would need to be more thorough and cite specific multiple problem pages, what's wrong with the pages, how the problem is pervasive, and the like. It's not enough to just say, "head's up—take a look at this wiki and that wiki." Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 01:47, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

Global lock for 팰로우 부캐 and 초록모자

This user is same person, cross-wiki abuse. --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 02:20, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

@Gomdoli4696: Thank you for formatting your report both neutrally and nicely, from the perspective of wikitext formatting. Nevertheless, stewards cannot go on "fishing expeditions" in their use of the CheckUser tool to investigate contraventions of user accounts policy, nor will they typically look through Special:Contributions pages from a user's CentralAuth. So, in addition to the above, can you link to several of the best diffs from each user that show the best DUCK-like behavioural evidence, in the format of [[mh:subdomain:fullpagename|optional piped link for displayed text]]? You can link to them in an ordered or unordered list, indented per established conventions. @DarkMatterMan4500:, I am looping you in to this reply as well, as you frequent stewards' noticeboard, and this advice would likely serve you well, too. Either of you can use the script from line 5 of my global.js file in your global global.js file, or a local common.js file on a given wiki. Dmehus (talk) 02:33, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: The reason I'm so sure is that because the account is the same user in Korean wikipedia. (Wikipedia:ko:User:팰로우 부캐, Wikipedia:ko:User:초록모자) Thanks. --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 02:38, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

@Dmehus and Whitetiger0423: Cancel, this user is not currently blocked on any wiki. --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 11:24, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
@Gomdoli4696 and Whitetiger0423: Thanks; this seems to be a case of this having been  locally resolved, which is good. If I might make a recommendation for you to pass on to the subject user, I would recommend the user making a global user page for each of the above accounts, stating that the one account is an alternate account of the other, and the other account is the primary account of the other. User accounts policy doesn't require it, but it does help to show good-faith in operating two accounts. If one account is no longer used, the user page(s) can say this as well. Lock King Coronavirus UTTP THDTC

King Coronavirus UTTP THDTC has an inappropriate username and needs to be globally locked, due to the nature of the username. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 15:38, 7 October 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: I personally view this as not an inappropriate username. If it were wishing Coronavirus or COVID-19 on users, then yes, that'd be an awful Username Policy violation. But simply stating "COVID-19" or "Coronavirus" in one's own username is not, in and of itself, a violation of that global policy. If 90% or more of the user's edits are unconstructive blatant vandalism, then that's a vandalism only account, but it's not a UP violation. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 15:45, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Yes, but isn't there a policy against users who have troll-like usernames? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 15:50, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
@DarkMatterMan4500: Yes, but in practice and by steward/Global Sysop convention, that UP criterion is rarely applied in isolation. It's usually used together when another UP criterion is violated, or when the user is a vandalism only account. For now, I would think locally blocking, and locally warning, via the user's local talk page, should be sufficient. You should also take care to advise of them of their obligations to user accounts policy and to appeal their local block via their user talk page on that wiki (or e-mail, if talk page access is revoked), versus creating additional accounts. I believe it's important to be both friendly and proactive to all users in advising them of all global policies. Dmehus (talk) 15:55, 7 October 2020 (UTC)

Requesting that my wiki be made exempt from deletion

I would like to request that my wiki be made exempt from deletion; it's a project that I come back to periodically, but don't have the time to make substantial edits to as often as I would like. Nyzari (talk) 23:07, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

@Nyzari: Thank you for submitting a request for an exemption to Dormancy Policy. A steward will review it in due course, and, in the course of my clerking this noticeboard for stewards as a Meta administrator, I will ensure this thread is monitored and relisted until actioned. Exemption dormancy policy for Vaccabolario wiki

Hi stewards,

I'm the Vaccabolario wiki's bureaucrat, asking the dormancy policy exemption as, for your own rules, this wiki, being a Dictionary, is mostly made to be read (and, considering it's 99% text, it won't take that much room on Miraheze's servers anyway).

I would like to add a lot of (text) contents/definitions, after the initial ones I already inserted but, not being sure my time and efforts will be trashed if the wiki won't have contributions, later, I'm waiting for a your decision about the exemption: please do tell me in both cases, if it will be done or not, thanks.

I asked it in a recent past (20200629, 20200731, and 20200911) but, not seeing my wiki listed into Exemptions list, nor an approval/deny comment from you, I'm asking again.

Thanks in advance,

ElweThor (talk) 14:03, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

@ElweThor: I will {{ping}} a steward on Discord and ask them to assess your request. It's a dictionary, as you say, so it's useful, and likely to be used by real people. Dmehus (talk) 14:08, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: This is a Username Policy violation, so have split it into a separate topic. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 15:56, 7 October 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: I would've if I were a Global Sysop or steward, but seeing this awful username, I instead reported it on #miraheze-cvt connect. You should consider registering and/or downloading IRCCloud, which will give you a complimentary IRC cloak automatically, as it's a very efficient way to report such problematic global policy violations, especially actual UP violations. Dmehus (talk) 16:03, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Thanks for the tip. I might do that some time. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 16:07, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
@Reception123: What about this one? Shouldn't that account be locked too? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 16:36, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
@DarkMatterMan4500: Depends on who is behind that username. It's not making disparaging comments about autistic people, and it could very well be the user wishes to self-declare their autism in their username. It's a UP violation as impersonation if we have a GoAnimate user and this user is not their alternate account. I'd probably warn them first and ask for an account confirmation. Dmehus (talk) 18:51, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Please do. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 11:28, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

IP leak glitch for blogs when changing names

Hello, I noticed that for a while after I had my name changed there was a glitch that resulted in the "by" section of blogs that I have written being replaced with my IP address. Please look into fixing this if possible. Paprika (talk) 15:15, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi, Can you please send more information via [1] including a link to an example of the issue or email security[at] . I do have a feeling about this and it might be the IP of whoever is viewing the page. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (on) 15:17, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
I quickly checked and it does appear to be the IP of the person visiting the page. Still an upstream bug that needs fixing. -- Void Whispers 15:20, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
OH, I had believed it was an IP leak because the blog belonged to me in particular. It would still be good to look into it however. Paprika (talk) 15:22, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
We've found the bug. I'm shocked this is the first time anyone's noticed that / this hacks method fell apart. It looks like one of Ashley's extensions so I'll see if they have any thoughts later today on it. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (on) 15:39, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
I also experienced this glitch when I go to blogs. CircleyDoesExtracter(Circley Talk | Global |Email the Cloud) 16:21, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

@RhinosF1: Yeah, that's what I assumed was likely the case, and I'm wondering if is similar, or related, to a previous issue I reported (likely on Discord) when one views Special:RequestWikiQueue on wikis other than Meta. In the "requestor" field, one's own IP address is shown. Dmehus (talk) 17:48, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
It's the same root cause but a very different bug. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (on) 18:06, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
@RhinosF1: Ah, yeah, I figured they'd be different bugs for sure, but that's what I was thinking if they were related in terms of the root cause. Perhaps when we have a solution/fix for the one, that will make fixing the other easier. Dmehus (talk) 21:15, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Is it possible to global a user that is potentially putting bias in pages and making biased pages claiming their facts and removing facts from pages claiming they're biased?

I feel like a user (not going to mention his name yet) is making biased pages and adding bias to pages claiming their facts and removing facts from pages claiming their biased and I want to know if that's a valid reason for a global block and if yes, then I'll tell you who the user is. Pacsonic9000 (talk) 20:46, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

@Pacsonic9000: I assume by global a user, you are referring to globally locking a user's account? Generally speaking, we lock user accounts that are either (a) a vandalism only account (i.e., they have no, or almost no, constructive edits), (b) they are a spam only account/spambot account, (c) they have inappropriately contravened user accounts policy, (d) their user account name is a Username Policy violation (which can be appealed and unlocked to request a rename), or (e) they have, despite multiple warnings by stewards, grossly and egregiously violated the Code of Conduct. So that reason would not be a reason, no. Dmehus (talk) 20:49, 8 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: So is there any consequences for a user that makes biased pages and adding bias to pages claiming their facts and removing facts from pages claiming they're biased? Can they end up getting blocked for that reason? Pacsonic9000 (talk) 00:54, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
@Pacsonic9000: That's a very vague and open-ended question. Biased in itself is not problematic. If there is unsourced information about users or real people, particularly those who are Miraheze users, then that may be a Code of Conduct issue. I would encourage you to read that global policy, together with Content Policy, and see if either apply to your situation. In any case, all reports must be substantiated with evidence—that is, permanent links to specific page revisions. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 02:29, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Would a biased page that was made just for defamation and uses biased sources be violating guidelines? Pacsonic9000 (talk) 22:13, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
@Pacsonic9000: Defamation wouldn't be acceptable, per the Code of Conduct. If the pages are wholly negative and meant to disparage the individual, that's both a potential Content Policy, but context matters (i.e., the reliability of the sources), issue (in addition to being a potential Code of Conduct issue for the user(s) that added said content). If it's a community-edited encyclopedia or TheTopTens being used as sources, those aren't in any way reliable sources, so that would be unsourced defamatory information. In terms of it being a problem with the wiki or just limited to the user(s) that created that content, it would really depend on how systemic and pervasive the problem is. I'm reluctant to say anything more, as I'm just giving you this information by helping to clarify our Content Policy and Code of Conduct for you. Obviously, there are context dependent circumstances that matter here. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 23:26, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Would this page be classified as defamation since it uses mainly left wing sources that are biased and the page is biased and defamatory? Also, they are deleting some comments that are against the page and downvoting comments that are also against the page. Pacsonic9000 (talk) 21:16, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
@Pacsonic9000: Thank you for reporting that page. I had an initial read through of the page, and while it's definitely very controversial and quite likely attempting to incite a highly controversial discussion (i.e., a "flame war"), I personally didn't see anything that would necessitate a Global Sysop or steward to delete the page. It's within the bounds of freedom of speech, around which Miraheze was founded. That said, before looking at the page, I did report it to Reception123 on Discord, and he will review the page tomorrow. However, I suspect it will not be deleted. I would just add the following caveats, though, namely that (a) I hadn't looked at the comments on the page and (b) I hadn't looked at users' edit summaries on the page or block summaries related to that page. So, there could be potential conduct issues, but content-wise, despite being highly controversial and as I say, "flame bait," it's probably not a Content Policy violation. Admin Transfer per Election Results

After forgetting my original admin password, I created a new account, MaximoMaxim, and held a wiki-wide election, as was suggested in a previous post on this board, in order to transfer admin status. I am proud to say the election was a success with MaximoMaxim winning the role of Admin with 1 vote. I am requesting a steward assess this election and action upon the results. Thank you.

@MaximoMaxim: I checked your wiki's user rights log, and didn't see any reference to you accidentally removing rights from yourself. Interwiki admin for me @ [email protected]

@Instance: Hi, for now, you can not pretend to have this right on your wiki because you don't meet the requirement described on this page (TLDR: You need to have 1000 edits over Miraheze Network, 2 months old on your global account and be trusted). But if you need to had some Interwiki entry on your wiki, you can ask for it here and a global Interwiki administrators will take the request :). HeartsDo (Talk || Global || Wiki Creator) 06:41, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
@HeartsDo and Instance: I believe @Instance: is requesting local interwiki administrator on a single wiki. It's not well known, as it's a local user group that is only granted by stewards, mainly for security reasons. The current global policy for that user group is that the user must hold bureaucrat permissions on the wiki being requested. It's true, though, that Instance could request, at community noticeboard, a global interwiki administrator to add any interwiki prefixes to his local wiki's interwiki table. This is not the user's first account, as they've identified this as the "role account" of User:404 Error. On the other hand, they've requested deletion on this noticeboard of their previous Minecraft wiki, so if you exclude those global edits from consideration, they don't have a lot of edits. Though not necessarily codified in the policy, I would tend to concur with HeartsDo that requesting a few interwiki prefixes be added at community noticeboard is honestly your best bet. @MeMeGuYWasLost: I note that your "report" in this thread is very similar, extremely so, to this report by a logged out IP editor. So, I would just remind you of user accounts policy, a global policy, and your obligations to it, including editing while logged out. Have you, or have you ever, created any additional Miraheze accounts? While not ideal in that, ideally, the user should discuss privately with stewards their plans to return to Miraheze, the fact that VosVosKitsune has steered clear of wikis on which Zenko was previously locally blocked is both very positive and shows the user has the capacity for change. I would also note that many of those wikis have since been closed and made private, or deleted, by stewards for serious Code of Conduct and Content Policy violations, which went unremediated despite numerous warnings and advisories from global functionaries. Nonetheless, regarding your report, continuing to drag up the same old drama, frankly, is tiring, and I would really urge you to drop the stick. Dmehus (talk) 23:42, 11 October 2020 (UTC)

Please delete these users/cyberbullies' Mirahaze as they stole/copied our wikia and have tried to slander our name!!

I am the owner and admin of the Horrible and Best Music Wikias on Fandom. But earlier today I noticed a wikia that copied us is still up. I've tried emailing the tech, conduct, and steward team for some time for the last month and a half to barely any response.

Now for context, back in 2018/2019 a group of users tried to get revenge on us for not complying and agreeing with their malicious opinions and for blocking them so they made their own version of our wikia that promoted hate, bias, and completely copied and stole several of our pages and rules. We confronted them about it a year ago and they said they took it down, but recently a friend of mine informed me that it's still up and being edited on.

Is it possible that you could take it down because they were (and probably are) still trying to convince people they were the victims and spreading false allegations and lies about us on Fandom, including that we were going through a downfall, even though we're doing just fine.

Also, these same people have also made a biased Miraheze aimed at bad wikias and users, which wouldn't be too bad except most of the pages are lies and clearly just made to get revenge on those on Fandom who have "wrong them", especially us since we blocked them for toxic behavior. Is it possible you could get these Mirahezes taken down because most of these people are notorious cyberbullies/toxic users who just want us to get hated on and ruin reputations of people who disagree with them for years.

Also, since Fandom is having us move off their website I just wanted to make sure they are gone because me and my team don't want to be associated with those websites or accused of copying them, when they were the one's who stole/copied us!! When they heard the news that we were being shut down, they made a celebratory post on the fake wikia.

(talk) 7:11, 12 October 2020 (MST)

@HarmonTower805: I'm sorry to hear about the problems. Unfortunately, since you've licensed your wikis' content under a CreativeCommons license, the Miraheze version(s) of your wikis' content is perfectly allowed. They don't even necessarily have to provide full attribution history; ideally, they should provide a link to the source page on your wiki in an edit summary for every page copied, but at minimum, they could simply have a "copyright information" page stating the sources from where they copied their content. As to claims of libel, your report to stewards would need to be much more comprehensive than this, citing individual diffs as stewards don't have the time to investigate broad and vague claims. In short, you must do the investigating, and supply the evidence, which stewards will assess. One of those Miraheze wikis you've linked to, Unfavorable Fandom Wikis has been closed and made private by stewards on unrelated Content Policy and systemic Code of Conduct violations, so it will be deleted in accordance with Dormancy Policy. In the mean time, no one can view that wiki, and it is locked, so existing wiki members cannot edit it under any circumstances. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 01:41, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
Alright, I guess this does help and give a little closure...but basically you're saying that I just need to be able to convince stewards with evidence that I'm in the right, even though the cyberbullies stole our wikia without our consent and try to slander us? HarmonTower805 (talk) 7:50, 12 October 2020 (MST)
@HarmonTower805: I mean, if those wikis have not provided any attribution to your wiki, I'm sure stewards could be convinced to require the wiki to add an attribution page that links to your wiki(s) in question, but I would just note they didn't "steal your wiki"; see my above comments. Claims of cyberbullying are another matter and could contravene the Code of Conduct, which is something that would concern stewards; however, your report must be thorough and evidence supported. If, following your report, the resolution by stewards is unsatisfactory, or if stewards have not acted on your follow up thorough report, you may e-mail the Code of Conduct Commission if it concerns the Code of Conduct. The e-mail address is I would just note that, though I am not a steward, I am an elected member of the Code of Conduct Commission, so I can't really provide any further comment or advice regarding your potential case. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 03:29, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

I want to change private to public

Special:RequestWikiQueue/14498#mw-section-comments. What does stewards' think? --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 03:11, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

To my understanding, you should be able to change this through Special:ManageWiki. Are you not? Naleksuh (talk) 03:16, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
Request approved and wiki created. Conditionally approved as a private test wiki of the requestor and any invited users whom they make member or sysop. I have BOLDly made the wiki request private, for procedural expediency, rather than decline, and request the requestor change it to "private." As this is a test wiki, it cannot be approved as a public test wiki without consensus from the TestWiki community and/or at community noticeboard. So, please do not change your wiki to public without such consensus and closure by a steward. Thanks.
by Dmehus
Gomdoli4696 (talk) 03:19, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
@Gomdoli4696: Thank you filing this request, but I approved your wiki, conditionally, as it's a test wiki. By long-established convention that supplements Content Policy, public test wikis should have the endorsement of the Public Test Wiki community at TestWiki's community portal. Please put forward a proposal to the local community, if you wish, but I would just note you can add anyone you wish as a member or sysop to your private wiki. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 03:22, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: It's not a public wiki, but I hope everyone can see it. and I'll create abuse filter. Gomdoli4696 (talk) 03:24, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
@Gomdoli4696: That's not the issue. The issue is that we only need one Public Test Wiki, and, invariably, confusion ensues when there are multiple general purpose public test wikis on Miraheze. Thus, you do need to establish local consensus on TestWiki to make your wiki public. Or, you can keep your wiki private, and instead invite a few friends and colleagues to your wiki, adding them to the member or sysop group. They can see your entire wiki when in those groups; otherwise, they can only see your Main Page. I hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 03:32, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
I'll make filter, if editor is not has editprotect right, only can edit project namespace (and can add join request). So, this wiki is semi-public wiki. How about this? Gomdoli4696 (talk) 03:45, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
@Gomdoli4696: Well, you have this wiki, which is already public. You requested this wiki on the condition that it be a private wiki. We have, in the past, allowed private test wikis, to experiment with ManageWiki, but I see no reason to approve a competing public test wiki when Public Test Wiki serves this purpose, and I would  Strong oppose any attempt to make it public without you having first obtained local consensus to start public fork of TestWiki at TestWiki's community portal. How does that sound? Thanks. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 03:51, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Please Close This Wiki

Hello, I would like to request that be deleted. The founder, Maddox121, no longer wants the wiki and regrets creating it as shown on the Main Page. The wiki also caused onsite and offsite drama. Alairma (talk) 03:58, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

@Alairma: Hi. Any bureaucrat on the wiki can close it themselves by going to Special:ManageWiki and checking the closed box. Reception123 (talk) (C) 05:28, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
The bureaucrats there refuse to close the wiki. The wiki steals numerous pages from Crappy Games Wiki, Awful Movies Wiki, etc. and caused a lot of drama. Plus, General I80 is a corrupt user and caused a lot of damage to the wiki. Alairma (talk) 13:30, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
@Alairma: I mean, in theory, you could hold a local poll on the wiki requesting the wiki be closed and locked, but if that wiki has active local bureaucrats and administrators, it would not surprise me if they ended up locally blocking you for that, so personally I wouldn't recommend that. What I would recommend is that you compile a list of diffs (or revisions) that indicate a systemic pattern of either, or both, Content Policy and Code of Conduct violations. The former generally applies to the content on the wiki, whereas the latter applies to users' (including administrators') conduct, typically in the form of their comments, edit summaries, and log summaries. This will take time, but overall, a thorough, substantive report will carry a lot more weight with stewards than a "please close this wiki because local administrators are biased and dramatic" report. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 14:26, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Can you please lock MillyComedian4567?

They are vandalizing multiple pages on Astonishing Scratchers Wiki and adding unacceptable and biased stuff to the "Bad Qualities" headings. Can you deal with them? Because they might be a troll. Thanks! Oh, and they are also possibly these IP users saying rude things against men, which is sexist. -- Perry The Chiweenie (talk) 12:07, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

As the vandalism is limited to one wiki, there is no need for a global lock at this time. Reception123 (talk) (C) 12:12, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Okay, thanks for letting me know! I just think they're a troll, that's all. :) -- Perry The Chiweenie (talk) 12:14, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Yes, that seems to be the case and CircleyDoesExtracter has already blocked them locally on the wiki so that will be sufficient for the time being. If it spreads to other wikis they will be globally locked (feel free to let me know). Reception123 (talk) (C) 12:16, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, I saw they were blocked. Thanks anyway! -- Perry The Chiweenie (talk) 13:07, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Requesting CheckUser - Possible compromised account

this and especially this do not seem like anything this user would do. My concerns were initially raised because this user has a history of good-faith edits on our site. After checking their Global Information page, I've seen the current drama involving them, but it seems odd to go from being profusely apologetic on 2-3 different wikis literally ten minutes before the edits in question were made to doing that. Also, note the swearing in the second edit summary. I have never seen this user swear, even when they did insult someone. Add to that the fact we had a troll get banned for exactly the same spam about a month ago. If these two edits were the cause of their global lock, I would suggest a CheckUser be performed to verify that it was them who posted those last two edits on the CLG Wiki. Hb1290 (talk) 01:32, 17 October 2020 (UTC)

@Hb1290: I appreciate your concern for the welfare of the above-captioned user and their account and, while I agree that it is very atypical for this user to curse, it is not reasonable, considering the user had just been blocked by a Global Sysop in accordance with the Code of Conduct, as the user may been reacting to the tense situation in a very irrational, emotional, and atypical way. Nevertheless, if the user's account was compromised, it would still be necessary, for the purposes of account security, to lock the account. The user in question can contact or to appeal their global lock and discuss the circumstances that gave rise to both their behaviour and the lock. As the Code of Conduct was invoked, they also have Code of Conduct Commission as a final avenue of appeal, too. So, anyway, I'm sure stewards, together with the local actioning Global Sysop @Zppix:, are capable of handling this case. Dmehus (talk) 02:15, 17 October 2020 (UTC)

Please Lock General I80

I would like to request a global lock on General I80 because he whiteknights Zenko like she's better than Jesus Christ, caused drama on numerous wikis, claims that haters of TheTopTens and Adolf Hitler are SJWs, can't handle people hating TheTopTens, unfairly blocked people on The New Reception Wiki as well as the recently closed Common Sense Wiki, and had a Hitler profile pic on the now closed Unfavorable Wikis and Users Wiki. Alairma (talk) 02:17, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

@Alairma: As it has been repeated numerous times on this page as well as in other places, this so called "whiteknighting" is not a violation of any sort of global policy, and as such would not justify a global lock. If you have evidence of any other inappropriate conduct and/or global policy violations, please do provide links so that it can be investigated. Reception123 (talk) (C) 07:22, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
I have proof of him unfairly blocking people on Common Sense Wiki right here, which shows how delusional he is, since he was blocked for causing drama which is a good reason to block people. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alairma (talkcontribs) 14:17, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
The requestor has been boomerang  locked by @Reception123:, following overwhelmingly clear behavioural evidence and even an on-wiki confession, among other evidence. Dmehus (talk) 21:35, 18 October 2020 (UTC)

CheckUser request.

Many are suspecting that this is a sock of Inkster, a globally locked user. He tried to get l80 globally locked which is something only Inkster did. -- ACoolBlaze5 (talk) 02:27, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

You know, there are lots of reasons why I80 should be globalled. Alairma (talk) 03:09, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
@Alairma: Since you have not denied what was said above regarding you being a sockpuppet of Inkster, I have to ask, is what is being said above true? Reception123 (talk) (C) 07:20, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

help unblock QwertyMan'65 in certain wikis.

Hello, I am QwertyMan'65. These web link above are among the blocked me forever without time limits. If not believe me, click my link: The Crappy Games wiki is among my one of the favorite miraheze community wiki, Don't shaming me about my mistakes that I'd ever done in the past. I treated @Portrock1566 like a betrayer, Then I would like to get my life as best as I can in the community without any mistakes, Mario is my one of my favorite like. Trying to chatting with newcomers with some kindful manner with change of heart and passions of certain franchise like Mario/Nintendo. So I will be a clever person is especially jarring when doing like that. Also there is no the word "blocked forever" in the certain wikis for being innocent actions because those being victims of that will be find altruist. I'm gonna move on to the other wikis except those closed because of content policy. Pardon is a great thing, and expressing my regret is very caring. Good regards, QwertyMan'65 I want to be an ordinary man with change of heart. 06:27, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

Ps. I'm a kind person with friendly behavior and getting to obey the rules and laws around the meta miraheze. I want to be an ordinary man with change of heart. 10:00, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

Ps. again. These links to wikis I given is broken, you can select the broken link then you can either click copy-paste your web-bar, link-bar, etc (pardon me I cannot understanding like that), or you can click go to(web name), so it's so easy to step in to insert your web link do you want. I want to seek out new friends while being troubling in the past so you should do a job while contributing to your wikis you admin. At some point, you make me lost my talk page edit because of block you committed me. And never act so hard while giving critics to me, after you hesitate to betray me. How much in the wikis, that they are much hierachy plugged up the 11, and we should have anarchy action like no given rules. Please you must unban me in discord server mainline reception wiki because I want apologize my actions that I did in past. QwertyMan'65 (talk) 08:56, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

Can you please do a CheckUser test on Moh278USA and his suspected sockpuppet BIG2778US?

If you check the logs of his global accounts you can see that Moh278USA kept making up lies about another user trying to put a forbidden show on Terrible TV Shows Wiki and presenting those lies as facts. He even used multiple IP addresses in order to evade his bans, as well as another entirely new account, BIG2778US, and never stops spamming apologies, let alone finding ways to evade his bans. Trashanimal (talk) 15:27, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

@Reception123: I think you should answer this guy. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 21:27, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
This sounds more like something a Steward should do (CheckUser), unless the evidence is extremely clear. Reception123 (talk) (C) 04:44, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
@Reception123: The evidence that he is sockpuppeting is extremely clear, as he has the same writing style as Moh278USA. - Trashanimal (talk) 15:36, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
@Trashanimal: If he indeed confessed to being a sockpuppet, could you please link me to that? Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:51, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
@Reception123: Sorry to misinform you on that, he didn't confess to sockpuppeting from everything that I saw. So could you instead please do a CheckUser test on the two accounts to make sure that they're the same user? That's the only way to stop him from causing any more harm. And I don't care if it was 2 months ago, the block still matters. - Trashanimal (talk) 16:52, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

Please can my account, User:Liam, be locked. Thanks. Liam (t) 12:12, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

Lock Tutrlesfanboy3444 for cross-wiki vandalism

Just look at his activities. He's a vandal on multiple wikis. I suggest locking the account immediately. Feel free to decide what punishment is best for the user. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 13:05, October 19, 2020 (UTC) DarkMatterMan4500 13:05, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: I note that you're still not linking to specific revisions, as required by the notice on this noticeboard. I did previously point you to line 5 of my global.js file to add the diff-permalink to your global.js file to assist with this process. Then it's simply a matter of linking to the wikis in the format of [[mh:subdomain:pagename]]. Nevertheless, I am seeing this user is only blocked on two wikis to which they've contributed, one or both of which you are also a local administrator on. So, I'm not seeing the same immediate need, or need at all, really, as you are seeing. Noting your added reply in your edit summary, a lock is not seen as some form of superior punishment. It's meant mainly to prevent imminent harm to the wiki farm and for very narrow other purposes. I would also strongly caution you against blocking for reason offsite vandalism where the user has made zero contributions as, though I'm sure you've no doubt done it in good-faith or possibly following the lead of other Reception wiki administrators, though the actions are done in such a way as to mimick a Global Sysop action. More problematic, though, blocking a user where they've made zero contributions may be seen as harassment per the Code of Conduct. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 13:27, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: I apologize for that, and you're actually right. And I'm actually not the only one that was doing it too. Granted, the user has vandalized multiple wikis, but what would your suggestion be? Also, here are the revisions on Awful Movies Wiki, for a hint. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 13:33, October 19, 2020 (UTC)
Since the user has vandalised three independent wikis and inserted random content into pages on all three, I've decided to lock the account as a vandalism-only account for the cross-wiki vandalism. Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:49, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

How to activate wiki

Hello I would like to ask how to activate wiki Few days ago, I got a message below.

This wiki has no edits or logs made within the last 45 days, therefore it is marked as inactive. "If you would like to prevent this wiki from being closed, please start showing signs of activity here. If there are no signs of this wiki being used within the next 15 days, this wiki may be closed per the Dormancy Policy. This wiki will then be eligible for adoption by another user. If not adopted and still inactive 135 days from now, this wiki will become eligible for deletion. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with Miraheze's Dormancy Policy. If there is activity on this wiki you can go to Special:ManageWiki and uncheck "inactive" yourself. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask at Stewards' noticeboard."

I tried to follow the way how to activate wiki again.

First, I log in and edit few trivial words.

Second, I tried to visit 'Special:ManageWiki' but I can't uncheck 'inactivate' button.

So I am really confused how to solve this problem.

This wiki contain very critical information made by a lot of effort.

Therefore, it should not be deleted.

p.s. I found that warning message is not shown anymore! If the problem is solved already, how could I confirm it? REDACTED 21:12, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

It looks like the wiki is no longer marked as inactive in ManageWiki. Nevertheless, it seems you just need to login. I will revision delete the applicable revisions as a likely logged out user. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 22:30, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Please see this page. This is my request for local adminship page. But this wiki has one bureaucrat, User:Kjh010206 is locked. Thank you. Gomdoli4696 (talk) 10:51, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

@Gomdoli4696: Thanks for your request. A steward should review your local permissions request in absence of a locally available bureaucrat within the next 1-2 weeks, but I will ensure the request is relisted to prevent archiving. Dmehus (talk) 11:07, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
I see. --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 11:46, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Hello, There is no criteria for voting in this wiki. must follow the meta-wiki's voting criteria? Gomdoli4696 (talk) 13:45, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
@Gomdoli4696: Thank you for the reply. Yes, typically, where there are no local permissions elections rules, a best practice is to follow Meta's and our global permissions elections guidelines in terms of how long the request should remain open (typically 5-7 calendar days at minimum). Nevertheless, you can still define parameters within your election, such as the position(s) to be elected, the number of position(s) to be elected, the required minimum support ratio (if any), and what happens to requests with no votes (i.e., election by acclamation)—i.e., are those treated as successful or unsuccessful? Once that process has concluded, then you would return to this thread and link to your local election for a steward to assess. Dmehus (talk) 13:51, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Some troll accounts

TREVOR SHOW US YOUR ANGRY FACE SO WE CAN LAUGH LOLOLOL, NO NO NO THE ANGRY PHOTO NOT THE EMOJI LOL, and JUST TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR ANGRY FACE THEN UPLOAD LOL are all troll accounts that need to be locked. --DeciduousWater534 (talk) 21:48, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

@DeciduousWater534: This is kind of meh. There's no contributions on either wiki. They're not really Username Policy violations, other than likely troll usernames, which we typically don't like to apply in isolation unless it's a demonstrated cross-wiki vandalism only account. I would say just locally block per your wikis' local policies, warn them on their user talk page that they should request a global rename on Meta if they're here to contribute in a constructively, and also advise them of user accounts policy on Meta with respect to creating and using multiple accounts. If they continue to use the account(s) on other wikis, then yes, we'd likely want to lock the accounts. Dmehus (talk) 22:35, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
He just created a fourth account called YEAH SEND ME YOUR BLACK CATS PICTURE. —DeciduousWater534 (talk) 14:37, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
That additional account may well be him or her, yes, but the reality is, these aren't really Username Policy violations. And, unless you can point to on-wiki behavioural evidence from each account which clearly suggests a likelihood of contravening user accounts policy by creating multiple accounts, a CheckUser wouldn't likely be appropriate, to be perfectly honest. It's probably best just to locally block, perhaps enact a local abuse filter that warns and/or blocks usernames that follow a certain pattern, and move on. Dmehus (talk) 15:13, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
