Stewards' noticeboard

This noticeboard is only for requests that require Stewards', or, in a limited number of circumstances, Global Sysops' intervention. If in doubt, please try the Community noticeboard first, and you will be directed here if the matter requires a Steward.

On the Stewards' noticeboard, you can request:

  • A Steward or Global Sysop locks a spam only or vandalism only account. Note that for vandalism only accounts, the vandalism must meet the global standard definition for vandalism, and to be a vandalism only account, there must be no (or almost no) constructive editing behaviour and, additionally, this behaviour should be occurring on multiple wikis.
  • Additional permissions on your wiki(s) that can only be granted by a Steward, such as a local interwiki administrator following a successful election.
  • A page requiring the bigdelete user right (more than 1,000 revisions) be deleted on your wiki.
  • A Dormancy Policy exemption for your wiki.

You can report:

  • A Username Policy violation (whether in good-faith or bad faith).
  • A user suspected of abusing multiple accounts per the User accounts policy. You must link to specific revisions from both the suspected master and illegitimate alternate account(s).
  • Systemic Code of Conduct problems occurring by one or more user(s) on one or more wiki(s) and/or systemic Content Policy violations on one or more wiki(s). In either case, your report must link to specific revisions and, in the latter case, your report must be both thorough and comprehensive.

  • Reason(s): the first 3 accounts have been blocked for adding nonsense/gibberish and images that have nothing to do with the articles (3rd by me and first 2 by I-K), but the other 7 not only did they do the same, they also added inappropriate images, and although I myself (ie without help from any other admin) have blocked them and hidden their harmful edits, it took me more than an hour to do it, all these users (except HOGDO8, it's HOGD08) have been globally blocked on wikimedia or only in the spanish wikipedia, these users cannot complain about their wikimedia blocks if they don't behave as they should here, I want to know if there really are several users or just the same user abusing multiple accounts, surely in a few hours more accounts with usernames blocked on wikimedia/eswikipedia will register here and continue vandalizing No se (talk) 14:10, 28 July 2023 (UTC) (edited at 03:21, 29 July 2023 (UTC) by No se (talk))Reply[reply]

During recent several days, these accounts added useless contents in pages within main namespace, and disputed with other members. Some examples: example1, example2. Just several hours ago, a newly-created account spammed several pages, and the behavior has stopped. Although I have my group chat in QQ, Miraheze and KOOK, none of these users have joined. I would like to apply for the role of bureaucrat and administrator on this wiki. I acknowledge the current state of inactivity on the platform and am committed to working towards revitalizing it.

I have been working on standardizing and cleaning up the wiki. The initial users who created it simply input information without adhering to a standard, and certain templates were highly disorganized.

My main goal is to add all the required information and then promote the wiki within the gaming community. However, I wish to have the roles of administrator and bureaucrat to moderate the wiki and prevent troll users, as well as to maintain the standardization I've established.

My idea is to allow only users verified by me to make edits, thus preventing any trolling attempts, which unfortunately are prevalent in the gaming community.

I have experience as a Community Manager (I am the CM for the game related to this wiki) and I believe that this experience will help me manage the community of this wiki. Even though the current community on the wiki is non-existent, I am confident that once a significant amount of work is done, the wiki will become popular within the community. I am requesting bureaucrat rights on the wiki in question in order to make a variety of improvements I can't as an administrator, which includes a possible rename. "VandalismWiki" is too vague and invites confusion for being a wiki that allows vandalism; "Behind the Edits" is an alternative name that I've come up with that's much clearer and opens up the possibility for expanding the wiki's scope to include other wiki-related conflicts/controversies, making sure to respect the Content Policy of course. I will admit that I haven't been very active on the wiki recently, but I've recently begun to be more active there to help fix its issues. I would like to request bureaucrat permission on Beidipedia because it had no active bureaucrats, and has been overrun with vandalism and articles that are out of scope such as spambot ads. The current situation is untenable. Without active administrators and bureaucrats to manage the wiki, it has become a breeding ground for vandalism, and for over 2 years, the front page has been blank. The wiki is over 17 years old and I would like to help preserve what's left of it. I tried holding local elections but at the time they were held there were only 5 active users (including myself), 3 of these users made no contributions past their account creation date and the other one has a history full of blanking articles, I announced the elections in multiple places on the wiki such as the main page, its talk page, and other talk pages of the users but there's no community to vote. Last week, my request to reopen the Antonball wiki was accepted after showing my proposal (see discussion link for the extent of that). Since then, I've done some light work to improve the wiki's layout and structure, for how far I could with my current permissions. I wasn't able to display a site notice about the election, but that didn't seem to matter as nobody but me edited the wiki during this period. So, Vladislav Fesko, the only bureaucrat on Mockupedia. But he is not really active. He only edit sometime and I actively edited on that said wiki (I have 1000+ edits on Mockupedia btw). On other hand, FjattarRefreshment (Fjattar) which blocked random users that are falsely blocked. I had unblocked them but Fjattar blocked them again with the reason is "spyon supporter", but the "spyon supporter" that called by him are not spyon supporters. Me and windo7 are ChromaticAeternus' supporter which hate Spyon (CompactStar said that). The lack of community consensus in the closure of the wiki (as evidenced in the two active reopen requests) might run afoul of the wiki governance and voting policy (the relevant clause is "Bureaucrats, administrators or any other designated group with similar functions must not take actions that are clearly arbitrary, unfair and for which no reason is given"; closing a wiki with an active community without the consensus of that community or elaboration why the wiki was closed is clearly in violation of that clause, though given the danger to the community of that wiki as explained in Polska's elaboration, it's somewhat justified). It's debatable on whether suddenly closing the wiki violates the aforementioned policy, but I'd recommend reopening the wiki temporarily to get the community's consensus on closing the wiki, making sure to explain the danger to them and respecting the canvassing policies outlined in the aforementioned policy; doing so significantly decreases the chances of violations of the wiki governance policy occuring. In any case, though, only Stewards can decide whether a bureaucrat action violates the wiki governance policy; as I am not a Steward, I cannot do so, though I can share my belief on the validity of the action in light of the policy. Yes, this is not the first time this wiki gets reported. However, previous reports - one by BrandonWM, and another by Buzzfan120 on Raiddar's talk page, lacked any real substance: they were made with an obvious bias - personal dislike of the subject of the wiki (which doesn't breach Content Policy by itself), and based on assumptions (cartoon stylization and authors' general drawing abilities). I decided to investigate the place by myself (oh well) and I haven't found any proofs of previously reported pages containing underage characters, in fact - none of articles on this wiki contain such.

But two users uploaded a lot of images in March and April, without tying them to any article on the wiki. These images contain some characters which are officially or widely stated to be under 18 - Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Pit. Images can be seen in wiki's Special:NewFiles, users' contributions pages: one, two.

Also, during my investigation, I managed to find numerous breaches of Code of Conduct - one admin makes mocking edits and leaves plain bad comments @ users, including previously mentioned uploaders: one, two, three, four (I haven't delved for more, but I guess that's enough for some sanctions).

P.S.: as you might notice by my comment on Raiddar's page, I actually first checked the wiki back in April, but was hoping Buzzfan120 will make a proper report here and I'll expand on it. He didn't, and then I just forgot about the topic until now. Checking the wiki again showed me that nothing has changed + revealed the CoC case.

This wiki has become corrupted and the information contained is highly biased and does not represent the reality of the 2b2t community. I'd like to set up an alternative subreddit, but understand I need to support these claims of bias first. I've outlined a few examples.

Removal of the wiki page of the player: "Elaphant"

This page was deleted by wiki admin "Joey Coconut1 '' who is known to dislike Elaphant ingame. He left a highly unprofessional message of: "Irrelevant, cry me a river." as a response. Elaphant is well known in game and his removal was simply done because of admins personal dislike of him. This highlights clear censorship, bias and unprofessional behavior.

This page was deleted by wiki admin "Joey Coconut1 '' who is known to dislike MrCK10 ingame. He left a message, while innocent looking at first, of "irrelevant." This message represents the personal belief of wiki admins that MrCK10 is irrelevant. However, the majority of the community would likely disagree. MrCK10 ran a prominent 2b2t YouTube challenge before eventually deleting it and quitting after wiki mods allegedly allowed for his personal information to remain active on the site.

Potential Content Policy Violation (jawp2ch.miraheze.org and whiteside.miraheze.org)[edit | edit source]

jawp2ch.miraheze.org [4] and whiteside.miraheze.org [5] are wikis about users on Japanese Wikipedia. There has been a strong concern that these wikis are violating our Content Policy (Miraheze does not host wikis which spread unsubstantiated insult, hate or rumours against a person or group of people.), and it has been discussed at a village pump page on Japanese Wikipedia. Though jawp2ch.miraheze.org was closed by the admin of the wiki (probably User:REIWA) after the discussion began, most of contents on jawp2ch.miraheze.org were copied to whiteside.miraheze.org. Most of articles on jawp2ch.miraheze.org were written by User:REIWA, who blocked all users trying to correct his edits. In whiteside.miraheze.org, some users are trying to remove contents which may be harassments, but it is not considered enough by some users on Japanese Wikipedia. In detail, subpages under Wikipediaの利用者 (Users on Wikipedia) describes hundreds of users on Japanese Wikipedia, and many of them includes hates and harassments for these users, mainly by User:REIWA. In the village pump page, 漱石の猫 (Soseki No Neko), a user on Japanese Wikipedia, said that the user received an e-mail stating that "I cannot allow User:REIWA." and considered a number of ways to treat this situation, including criminal trials. Kizhiya also said that there was a incorrect and offensive content about Kizhiya, which was deleted and cannot be seen now. However, whiteside.miraheze.org still has many offensive contents.   • （non-Stew, I'm GS）Most of the content on jawp2chwiki was in violation of the CP, and the actions of the administrator User:REIWA were in violation of the CoC. Note that jawp2chwiki was closed by the bureaucrat and set to private.
On the other hand, whitesidewiki's content does not violate the CP. While it is true that some content has been copied from jawp2chwiki, which is in the public domain, no defamatory or misleading CP violating content has been copied. CP-violating content that was copied in error has also been properly removed by local administrators. The local administrator has stated that he has properly removed the defamatory content and will take additional action in the future if necessary. Hi. I've found a user by the name of @Robinsu: who may be abusing multiple accounts by using another account called @RobinsTwo:, who may or may not be a sock account of Robinsu.

Our wiki is designed as a stable, read-only repository for fans of the mod, providing insights into the lore behind countries, individuals, wars, parties, etc. Also, it's important to note that the only contributors to the wiki are individuals actively involved in the development of the mod. And as our mod is our primary focus, and the wiki, while valuable, is a secondary project, we may not be able to dedicate frequent attention to it, but we do strive to maintain the wiki. Updates might occur within large periods of time, due to the nature of our development schedule.

For all the aforementioned reasons, I do believe that our wiki should be under a dormancy policy exception.

Restrict wiki requests due to excessive requests[edit | edit source]

Please restrict User:Gabe the cat from making wiki requests due to excessive, repetitive, and incomplete wiki requests. The user keeps requesting wikis without describing the purpose and scope sufficiently and then failing to answer wiki creator requests for additional information. Request of Dormancy Policy Exception for 3 pages[edit | edit source]

Hello, I want to request a Dromancy Policy Exception for 3 of my wikis which are the following:

  • https://supergion915.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page: The wiki is about a personal project, and currently such project is tiny or with a lack of info, aditionally I'm its lone editor and tend to be busy for long periods of time, so innactivity periods could happen between school periods while good activity can happen on holidays, and this pages are made to be read by the general public, the current wiki has too little content due to the date but I expect to heavily expand it during christmas, as such I hope this page could be maintained with a dormancy policy exception for it to not be terminated in one of those rest periods.
  • https://ensupergion915.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page: The wiki is essentially a translation of the page above for english speakers since the first one is in spanish, the same reason as above but translations.
  • https://eposimulation.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page: The wiki is about a whole political simulation community located on the Wix page EPO Simulation, while currently it is on the works to facilitate the cooperation of other users high edits are expected as well as the complete moving from the Fandom Wiki (https://eposimulation.fandom.com/wiki/EPO_Election_Simulation_Wiki), unlike the previous ones this is a currently active community and multiple articles are expected to come which we would prefer to be online as legacy even if the political Simulation ended in a future, this can be read by both current users as well as people in other simulations. I'm trying to get this template from Wikipedia to work on Better Names Wiki. I managed to fix various things by importing modules from Miraheze Meta and Wikipedia, but I ran into an issue with Module:TNT due to it not seeming to work on Meta either. Reopening Trash Vyond Videos wiki[edit | edit source]

Trashy Vyond Videos Wiki was closed completely unexpectedly while in active condition by Dark, who just didn’t care for it, but could’ve instead just quit his status, or better yet hired another bureaucrat to take his place. Along with this, Tali was likely unaware of such event happening, but to be fair they have been AFK for a while now. I was contributing to the wiki when this unexpected event happened, please reopen. Removing Dormancy Policy exemption[edit | edit source]

As one of the bureaucrats of the Constructed Worlds Wiki, and the original bureaucrat who requested Dormancy Policy in 2019, I am requesting that the wiki's Dormancy Policy exemption be revoked, to allow the wiki to properly close. The Constructed Worlds Wiki community made the decision to operate on its own self-hosted site since July of this year and the Miraheze version is no longer in active use (other than random bots registering). The Miraheze version is outdated and contains duplicative information, and no longer needs to be kept by the community for archival purposes, as all content has been migrated already. Out of scope and forking: Wiki One[edit | edit source]

Wiki One was originally requested with the stated intent to "create an encyclopedia with curiosities about emerging artists, singers, actors and include details that others would not include". It appears to have few, if any, articles that meet this scope. It has several articles that are outside the scope, some of which also appear to be directly copied from Wikipedia.
