    @Krishnaheda: Unfortunately, this is X mark.svg Not done as for multiple reasons. Firstly, the wiki is not closed, so is not eligible for adoption. Secondly, it is a private wiki, so is not eligible for adoption. Your best bet would be to go Special:RequestWikiQueue on Meta, enter kidswiki in the database name field, then contact that requestor, as, presumably, the still current bureaucrat on the wiki, and ask them to appoint you as bureaucrat and administrator.     @Asank: It's possible new user accounts being attached to a wiki aren't counted as eligible activity, depending on if all or most Special:RecentChanges activity counts.     R4356th This appears to have been closed in error, possibly a lingering result of the recent technical issue. When I look at Special:Log/managewiki, I can see that @DuchessTheSponge: reopened the wiki on 25 October 2020, so it should not be eligible for adoption. You can instead requests rights on that wiki, and either a local bureaucrat will grant or a steward can be engaged where the bureaucrat is not active after a reasonable period of time.     R4356th Yes, if the wiki becomes closed again per Dormancy Policy, absolutely; however, if you look in the history, this wiki has a habit of going dormant and then being reopened by the local bureaucrat eventually, so it may not/never happen. Thus, you can contribute to the local wiki and then request local rights on the wiki, sharing joint bureaucrat rights with the existing bureaucrats.     R4356th Yep, it was somewhat technical in nature, so John was able to just reopen the wiki in absence of the local bureaucrat. So you can now contribute to the wiki. If you mean Miraheze Template Wiki, this wiki is ineligible for adoption as it has been exempted to the policy as one of the main Miraheze community wikis. If there's a specific thing you need, please let me know on my local user talk page on that wiki. If it's a matter of needing a specific user right added to a minor local user group that can be granted, that can likely be undertaken in one of my local capacities.     Emperore It looks like Sapphire Williams, the only (sort of) recently active bureaucrat on this wiki has protected certain namespaces on alternatehistorywiki at autoconfirmed. So, while this wiki isn't eligible for adoption, you have a couple of options, which I'll itemize in turn:
    1. Request confirmed permissions from Sapphire Williams on their local user talk page. If they don't reply after a few days to week, then you can either return to this thread or message me in some other venue (i.e., at User talk:Dmehus or stewards' noticeboard) requesting the confirmed permission be granted in lieu of local administration; or,
    2. Hold a local election for the position(s) you require, whether sysop and/or bureaucrat, following the tips and best practices at User:Dmehus/local election.

    Re.min.a This X mark.svg cannot be done as the wiki is not closed per Dormancy Policy. However, as I do see all bureaucrats and administrators on this wiki are indeed inactive, what you can do is hold a local election by creating a local election page, as described below. If you want a Steward to add a local sitenotice to the wiki advertising your local election, in lieu of active bureaucrats, this can be done. Hope that helps.
    Since it seems like this wiki has no active bureaucrats, I would recommend you hold a local election, taking care to take into account the local wiki's permissions elections policies. Assuming your wiki has no local permissions request policies or other election rules, you would follow global customs and conventions for such requests, which see you create an election page on that wiki, on a prominent page, stating the number and type of position(s) you're running for (i.e., administrator, bureaucrat), the name(s) of the candidate(s) running, how long the election shall run for (best practice for 5-7 calendar days), the minimum support ratio required for a successful election, and whether an election can be declared successful after the minimum timeframe if no one expresses a view (i.e., election by acclamation).
