    @ZenSwords: I've removed rights from the founder, granted you the same rights, and removed the site notice. Usually I'd say this should be up for discussion, but technically speaking the wiki has had no edits since being created, and was eligible for deletion (according to Policy, not the sitenotice).

This is something Wikiversity is not able to do. Also many courses have students writing Wikipedia articles using the Wikipedia_Education_Program, which also precludes privacy as students write. Grades represent and important part of college education, and forcing students to do their own work on parallel projects is the mainstay of grade assessment. I am already active on a private wiki at https://wikiversity.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page that we are using to beta-test the idea of students using Miraheze in this way. The freecollegeproject.miraheze wiki could be an umbrella for anybody interested in fostering wikitext in college education.     @Guy vandegrift: I will unlock the wiki later (Special:ManageWiki is currently disabled here for an unknown reason). Per the section of the Dormancy Policy about adoption, if you are not the founder requesting a reopening (which isn't really adoption anyways) you must meet certain activity requirements on the wiki in question before rights will be transferred from current users to you. After the wiki is reopened, you may edit and use it normally as any public wiki. If you need pages deleted or other sysop-only requests, please contact a Steward who may perform the action for you, or if needed on a regular basis, grant you temporary sysop to deal with issues there. -- Cheers, NDKilla ( Talk • Contribs ) 14:30, 22 November 2016 (UTC)

    @Streetfog: see the similar request above. You can edit the wiki as normally since it's not private or closed. You must actually contribute to the wiki in question before you the founders rights are transferred.     Normally I would reopen directly but I don't understand what you mean by "a private on-wiki request". I see no requests or activity at all on applebranchwiki so how could there be an on-wiki request? If your reason is just that you need to edit something on the wiki I will be happy to reopen it. None of the wikis should be closed again.     What "hassles" does PublicTestWiki.com have? If you call not respecting some easy policies a hassle than maybe.     @NDKilla: I noticed that the pokemon wiki was originally created over a year ago. For some reason the infoboxes I use on Timpedia are appearing differently on this wiki, even though the infobox template and module are exactly the same on both.     Darbii: That's because there hasn't been any. There have been VERY few posters on there, because it wasn't properly advertised. My goal, once I have it in my hands, is to begin the advertising of it. But truth-be-told, if this cannot be turned over to me until we have active posters, then I'm just going to let it to go to the wayside again and you guys can delete it. I don't wish to pour tons of effort into something on my own accord, if I'm not able to do what I need to do on there.

    The purpose of this particular wiki is a repository for characters in a roleplay sense. My hope is to bring it back up to date with the RP community. But those who run the Black Desert Roleplay site are waiting to see if I can obtain this Wiki, before we start bringing it back to the public. They want to be sure it's worth it first, and that it's not going to just up and disappear on them again. The last guy who ran it, made it look great, but didn't give the proper people authority over it, so that is why it went to the wayside. He quit and just let it stagnate.

    Please consider my appeal. I don't want to see all of these stories that people have written just disappear, but at the same time, I'm only going to fight for it to a point. If this cannot be done, we will find another option.

    @Darbi Rue: No, it is not obvious under MediaWiki that you create pages by calling up a nonexistent title and clicking the link that you meant to create it. This is not a problem for Miraheze system administrators but for the Admins of your own website; hint, that means your own website needs people functioning as Admins, and you don't need Admin powers to solve this particular problem. An example of a way to show readers how to become creators is in the bottom of the right column of the Front Page of TheMirror. But do please stop hinting that you won't go to the wall for this wiki, as though, if you quit trying, that will be their fault too. Spıke (talk)16:03 3-Dec-2017
