• Wiki: venkon.miraheze.org
• Are you a bureaucrat? (yes/no): No
• Reason: This wiki has been closed due to inactivity and I wish to revitalize it. Also, a question in case this request does get approved - would it be possible to remove bureaucrat rights from the old bureaucrats of the wiki, considering the fact that they haven't frequented the wiki in a long time?

Samanaslietuvas (talk) 20:43, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

Not done as I'm afraid this has been superceded by the wiki being reopened, and thus not eligible for adoption, and now . Additionally, I was also not satisfied with your reason provided for wanting to adopt what appears to be a personal wiki of the wiki's sole contributor. Feel free to request a new wiki, though, taking care to define a clear purpose, scope, and topic(s) for your wiki. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 23:28, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

## meme.miraheze.org

Status:    withdrawn
• Wiki: meme.miraheze.org
• Are you a bureaucrat? (yes/no): No
• Reason: The wiki never even got edited, and I really like memes, so this wiki will not be inactive for a very long time.

WikiJS 19:32, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

WikiJS Looking at this wiki, it looks like more of a good-faith idea that never really got off the ground. As well, I note the wiki uses the WikiBase extension, which suggests it is intended to be more of a meme database repository than an encyclopedic wiki with written prose. Additionally, the original wiki request was a bit vague and unclear. Please note that the wiki adoption process is not a quick process, and does typically take several weeks to assess quantity and quality of your contributions, so if you could please advise if you wish to proceed with this adoption request, or if you wish to request a similar wiki with a different subdomain, taking care to define a clear purpose, scope, and topic(s) for your wiki, that'd be much appreciated. Dmehus (talk) 19:45, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
I will request a similar wiki instead. Thanks for the help! WikiJS 19:53, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
No problem. Please make sure you define a clear purpose, scope, and topic(s) for your wiki. Please define clearly all topics your broad wiki will propose to write about and what sort of sourcing policies your wiki will have. Dmehus (talk) 19:57, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
Can you link me to my wiki request? I forgot to change the category to humor/satire. WikiJS 19:58, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
WikiJS I've already approved the wiki, so it's been sent to our `jobrunner` server. Once it's created, you can change your wiki's category in Special:ManageWiki on your wiki. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 20:01, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
Oh alright, thanks again! :) WikiJS 20:02, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
No problem again. I've messaged Reception123 to pause an import to `callipediawiki` temporarily and execute the `runJobs.php` maintenance script on `metawiki` to clear the heavy job backlog. Once that's done, your wiki should be created. Dmehus (talk) 20:04, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

## crazypedia.miraheze.org

Status:    Not done
• Wiki: crazypedia.miraheze.org
• Are you a bureaucrat? (yes/no):
• Reason: This wiki I want because it is good, the owner abandoned it, its last edition was October 2020.

I would ask for a new wiki, but that name is already good for me TheNino (talk) 17:05, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

TheNino This wiki does not seem to have more than a handful of content pages, and I'm not even certain it was approved with a clear enough purpose and scope for the wiki. Nevertheless, setting that aside, the requests for adoption is not a quick process as it does typically take several weeks to assess the requestor's contributions to the wiki. Your better option would be to request a new wiki, taking care to articulate a clear purpose for your wiki, define its scope, and describe the type of content/topic(s) your wiki will contain. When this wiki is deleted per Dormancy Policy and the database dropped, you can then file a Phabricator request to rename your wiki's database name and subdomain (see above similar request). Please advise if you still prefer to adopt this wiki, or will go that route. Thank you. Dmehus (talk) 17:12, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

## poetry.miraheze.org

Status:    Not done
• Wiki: poetry.miraheze.org
• Are you a bureaucrat? (yes/no): No
• Reason: The wiki has been closed to the public and there seems to be no visible activity going on. As I see it, the subdomain is being used for something meant to be much more general/wide. I would like to takeover the wiki and continue its purpose as a subdomain/repository of poetry. It would be a waste to let the subdomain remain closed whilst also not receiving any care/updates. Nyl (talk) 06:50, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
Nyl Yeah, it's too bad that wiki was approved on that general of a subdomain for what is a private wiki containing, presumably, poems that wiki requestor has either collected or authored. Unfortunately, as it's a private wiki and you were neither a `member` or `sysop` at the time of closure, it cannot be adopted at requests for adoption. What I'd suggest instead is wait until this wiki is deleted per Dormancy Policy and the database dropped shortly thereafter, then request a wiki on this subdomain. Alternatively, you can request a different subdomain and, when this wiki has been deleted per Dormancy Policy and the database name/subdomain subsequently made available, you can file a Phabricator ticket to rename your wiki's subdomain and database name to this database name and subdomain. Note that your wiki's old database name and subdomain would then be made available. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 15:02, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
Very unfortunate, but oh well. Nyl (talk) 06:07, 14 March 2021 (UTC)

Oops, yes, apologies for not noticing that earlier. A Steward will get to this request soon. Redmin 3,464 Local Contributions Logged Actions CentralAuth (talk) 20:17, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
Ok. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 20:23, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
Blubabluba9990 This  LGTM as the wiki was not manually closed by a local `bureaucrat`, so the wiki has been reopened for you to contribute actively over the next week or two, after which a steward will assess your activity and conclude this request accordingly. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 22:05, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
Ok. There is still one problem though. Turns out the network wikis will be merged with the larger Terrible TV Shows wiki and Best TV Shows Wiki as a rebrand for the Reception Wikis, so until then I can keep this wiki up. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 12:58, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
Blubabluba9990 I looked through your contributions thus far, and, other than some improvements to the Main Page, I'm not seeing very many edits. Please advise if you are still working on this wiki and interested in adopting it. Pro tip: Writing a few full content pages would be very helpful to a successful adoption. Dmehus (talk) 23:04, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
Yeah the wiki is probably getting merged with Terrible TV Shows Wiki as part of a rebrand they are doing there so that is why. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 12:52, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
Blubabluba9990 I'm closing this as  withdrawn per your above comments that the intent is to merge this wiki with another wiki. If you wish for this wiki to be deleted once it's fully merged, please hold a local discussion on the local wiki with any participating local users and request Stewards to assess your local discussion for wiki deletion at stewards' noticeboard. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 16:23, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

PokeMyth This LGTM, as the wiki was not manually closed by a local bureaucrat, so I've in lieu of locally active bureaucrats. After several weeks, your contributions to the wiki will be assessed by Stewards, and `bureaucrat` and `sysop` user groups may be added to your account at that time. Dmehus (talk) 14:44, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
Can you unlock the main page for edition for now? If possible. PokeMyth (talk) 16:50, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
PokeMyth This is a reasonable request, so I've lowered the edit protection level of Main Page on the given wiki to `autoconfirmed` as a Steward action on a wiki without any active administrators (and bureaucrats, for that matter). Additionally, so you don't have to make at least ten (10) edits and wait four (4) calendar days, I've you temporary `confirmed` permissions on the wiki, so you can edit the main page. Dmehus (talk) 17:07, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
Not done PokeMyth, there hasn't been any contributions to this wiki, other than a single file upload, in nearly a month since reopening, so I've closed this as not done. Should the wiki ever need to be reopened again and local bureaucrats are not active, please advise Stewards at stewards' noticeboard. Additionally, you can always contribute to the wiki and hold a local election, which Stewards can be called upon (via the same venue above) to assess in absence of local bureaucrats. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 23:29, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
Foodsaver1 Since you haven't made any contributions to this wiki since it was reopened nearly three weeks ago, I'm going to assume you were just looking for the wiki to be reopened, which has been  done above, and will still instead close this request as  not done. If you require local permissions on the wiki and bureaucrats are not active, you may hold a local election, and request Stewards to assess it at stewards' noticeboard in their stead. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 16:07, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
We've made minor changes to the wiki since then. Will the foodsharinghamburg wiki stay open? We're a community of volunteer workers and look for simple solutions. As long as we can edit existing articles or add new ones, we're happy with it. Foodsaver1 (talk) 17:10, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
Foodsaver1 It will stay active as long as someone makes an edit or logged action on the wiki once every forty five days. If the existing `bureaucrat` is not active on the wiki, you can hold a local election on the wiki, and then request Stewards to assess your local election, promoting a new bureaucrat in line with the local community's consensus-based discussion. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 17:21, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

MarioMario456 This LGTM, as the wiki was not manually closed by a local bureaucrat, so I've in lieu of locally active bureaucrats. After several weeks, your contributions to the wiki will be assessed by Stewards, and the `bureaucrat` user group may be added to your account at that time. Dmehus (talk) 15:00, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
MarioMario456 Though your contributions to this wiki are generally fairly minor editors, you've nonetheless made it up for it, I think, in terms of quantity. In particular, you've done a lot of good work improving this wiki's categorization scheme, page titling, and will make good use of local tools (i.e., `suppressredirect` and `delete`, I suspect). As such, I'm satisfied of your commitment level to continue contributing to the wiki and to serving as one of its custodians/caretakers, so this LGTM and is thus  done, with `bureaucrat` and `sysop` rights added to your account. As a helpful reminder, local wikis are run according locally developed guidelines, rules, and other practices developed by the consensus formed from local wikis' communities. Hi, it looks like we've got contact with the original bureaucrat of the wiki so I'll likely not need to take over anymore! ArcOfDream (talk) 14:06, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
ArcOfDream Oh, that's great to hear. You might want to consider asking them to elevate your permissions to `bureaucrat`, so you can assist them with managing the wiki. Dmehus (talk) 14:10, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
ArcOfDream It looks like TenderGnat, the local `bureaucrat` on `monolithwiki` promoted you to `sysop`. Is this sufficient, or are you still looking to adopt this wiki and become a co-`bureaucrat`? If the former, please let me know so I can close this request as withdrawn. Dmehus (talk) 22:25, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
This is sufficient for me, thank you for looking into this! ArcOfDream (talk) 11:12, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 11:10, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

DarkMatterMan4500 When I invited you to hold a local election, as the preferred way to take over management of this wiki and continue building it, you said you weren't really interested. The reason I ask is because it is far quicker and more efficient to simply begin contributing to a wiki and hold a local election than to go through an adoption request process, which typically will take at least two weeks (depending on your contributions). Before I reopen this wiki, can you tell me why, in your own words, you are now interested in this wiki, and what your plans are for this wiki? What sort of content and topics will you propose to write about? Dmehus (talk) 13:59, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
Dmehus That was then, this is now. And if you look at the wiki, it's entirely inactive. And as for your other question: It was intended to be about cars and such, so I don't intend to change any of what it was intended to be. While yes, I wasn't entirely interested at the time, but I've changed my mind about that. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 14:02, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
DarkMatterMan4500 Thank you for the reply, but was this wiki even ever closed per Dormancy Policy? I'm showing that it was never reopened by a Steward, so I tend to think it may have just gone inactive, if it even went inactive at all. Nonetheless, since it was never closed, procedurally this  cannot be undertaken. You can, however, contribute to the wiki and hold a local election, following these guidelines, then request a Steward to assess your election after approximately 5-7 calendar days by posting a request at stewards' noticeboard. Will the wiki propose to write articles on YouTubers, or strictly just encyclopedic content on YouTube as a platform and company, with some focus on the channels and genres of videos it'll contain? WindowsViennaFish2010 As this wiki was manually closed by a local `bureaucrat`, ostensibly as part of an on-wiki or off-wiki discussion with other bureaucrats and/or the community, the prevailing Steward custom or practice of at least two other Stewards is that Stewards do not reopen manually closed wikis, so I'm closing this as  not done. However, if this is an alternate account of a pre-existing account where you were either (a) a significant contributor or (b) a previous or current bureaucrat or sysop on this wiki and you can reply from that account that this account is your confirmed alternate account, I'm willing to reevaluate this request, particularly if this closure was not done in line with a fulsome discussion of all significant contributors to the wiki. Zocktersrat Unfortunately, this  cannot be undertaken as the wiki is not closed per Dormancy Policy. What you can do, however, is hold a local election. Since it seems like this wiki has no active bureaucrats, I would recommend you hold a local election, taking care to take into account the local wiki's permissions elections policies. Assuming your wiki has no local permissions request policies or other election rules, you would follow global customs and conventions for such requests, which see you create an election page on that wiki, on a prominent page, stating the number and type of position(s) you're running for (i.e., administrator, bureaucrat), the name(s) of the candidate(s) running, how long the election shall run for (best practice for 5-7 calendar days), the minimum support ratio required for a successful election, and whether an election can be declared successful after the minimum timeframe if no one expresses a view (i.e., election by acclamation). Once your process has concluded (recommended to last for at least 5-7 calendar days), return to stewards' noticeboard and, in a new thread, state the wiki address, local location of the election, and a steward will assess your local election in absence of a local bureaucrat. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 15:35, 17 June 2021 (UTC)

I now wish and intend to go all in on this wiki now that I'm back in a position to do so. Thank you.

As an alternative to the above, you may wish to create a local election page somewhere on the wiki, following the guidelines in the linked page, and then after 5-7 calendar days, {{ping}} me here to assess your election. The process is usually procedurally much quicker than an adoption process. Dmehus (talk) 15:59, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
Sophiebun Looking though your local contributions to this wiki since it was reopened, you have already made the most editing contributions to the wiki in both number of edits and likely by page byte size as well. Additionally, the user with the second most contributions is your stated, though unconfirmed, original account. While we cannot use that for the purposes of restoring access to your original account, I also have no reason to doubt you, either, so on that basis, it could also be said you're likely the only contributor to this wiki. In any case, I'm thus satisfied of your commitment level to continue contributing to the wiki and to serving as its custodian/caretaker, so this LGTM and is thus  done, with `bureaucrat` and `sysop` rights added to your account. Dmehus (talk) 16:27, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
Hello... I accidentally removed the bureaucrat rating while checking the settings. Could you make a bureaucrat group again? Pdr0011 (talk) 14:53, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
Pdr0011 I see that you have deleted your `bureaucrat` user group, but I also noted you removed the `sysop` flag from the existing bureaucrat & sysop, Csam10398, and blocked that user for no apparent reason. As I did provide you a helpful reminder above that local wikis are not owned by any one person, and are run according to the consensus will of the local wiki community, I'm not seeing any sort of consensus of the community to proceed with those changes. Moreover, there can always be more than one bureaucrat on a wiki, and, indeed, this is a recommended best practice. Another recommended best practice which is strongly encouraged is to leave the ManageWiki permissions such that only Stewards can remove the `bureaucrat` bit from users (requested at stewards' noticeboard). I'll recreate your `bureaucrat` group following the default permissions for the group, but will you commit to keeping in place that recommended best practice and to unblocking that user and restoring their `sysop` bit should they return? Dmehus (talk) 17:22, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
Well noted. Then I will commit those items. Well... could you recreate the bureaucrat group? Pdr0011 (talk) 23:49, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
Additionally, Csam10398 have not edited this wiki for a long time, so I think he left the wiki for now. But I'm planning to wait for him coming back to wiki to give sysop bit and bureaucrat. Pdr0011 (talk) 23:49, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
That's a bit fair, but my preference would be to restore at least the `bureaucrat` user group, then you could perhaps make a dummy log action to note that the user's `sysop` group would be restored once the user returns to the wiki. Dmehus (talk) 00:14, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
But I already removed the actual group 'bureaucrat', also I cannot access the ManageWiki screen which is available for bureaucrat. Pdr0011 (talk) 04:05, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
I'll recreate the group, then if bureaucrat needs to be re-added, you can do that, and also unblock them. Dmehus (talk) 04:09, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
OK I wanna do bureaucrat again... Pdr0011 (talk) 04:13, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
Pdr0011  Done (#1 and #2), with `bureaucrat` re-added to you and Csam10398. You can now unblock Csam10398 locally. As a recommended best practice, I recommend not giving local bureaucrats the ability to remove the bureaucrat bit from other bureaucrats and instead request Stewards remove the bit. It's a really good security practice. Dmehus (talk) 04:19, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
Ok, I have unblocked Csam10398. And then I will wait for him coming back to this Wiki. Pdr0011 (talk) 04:33, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

• Reason: I am a member of the community that started the wiki, but unfortunately it was abandoned. I would like to revive this wiki, contribute to it and share it to my community that is still very much active.

DreamWeaver7 (talk) 11:42, 5 June 2021 (UTC)

DreamWeaver7 This LGTM, as the wiki was not manually closed by a local bureaucrat, so I've in lieu of locally active bureaucrats. After several weeks, your contributions to the wiki will be assessed by Stewards, and the `bureaucrat` user group may be added to your account at that time. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 13:40, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
DreamWeaver7 Looking though your local contributions to this wiki since it was reopened, you have already made the single most editing contributions to the wiki in both number of edits and page byte size, I'm thus satisfied of your commitment level to continue contributing to the wiki and to serving as its custodian/caretaker, so this LGTM and is thus  done, with `bureaucrat` and `sysop` rights added to your account. As a helpful reminder, local wikis are run according locally developed guidelines, rules, and other practices developed by the consensus formed from local wikis' communities. Dmehus (talk) 15:51, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
Thank you so much! My community will be thrilled to hear the news and after my classes end next week I will be able to add many more edits. I appreciate it! DreamWeaver7 (talk) 02:48, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

## minecraftenchantments.miraheze.org

Status:    Done
• Wiki: minecraftenchantments.miraheze.org
• Are you a bureaucrat? (yes/no): No
• Reason: I was dumb and locked myself out of my account QuestionLite so I'm here with my second account to be able to make administrative changes to the wiki as well as editing after it died

QuestionLite2 (talk) 06:50, 24 June 2021 (UTC)

QuestionLite2 By locked yourself out, do you mean you just lost your two-factor authentication device and can otherwise recover your access to your account as you have a confirmed linked e-mail address on file, or do you mean you've forgotten your password and have no e-mail address on file? Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 12:49, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
QuestionLite2 (talk) 19:08, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
QuestionLite2 Okay, well, please let me know whether you wish to proceed with this adoption request, which will require you to contribute to the wiki with editing contributions over a couple weeks or so, or hold a local election, lasting at least five to seven calendar days and following these guidelines. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 23:23, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
QuestionLite2 I've this wiki for you to either hold a local election, following these guidelines, or contribute to the wiki over the next couple of weeks. Depending on your contributions or the approach taken, this request may be closed as either superceded by a successful local election, a successful adoption request, or not done. Thank you. Dmehus (talk) 17:38, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
Hi, I'm editing it right as we speak. However, I'm unable to upload files as I get an error.
QuestionLite2 (talk) 19:58, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
QuestionLite2 What error do you receive? Please paste it in a `"Code box"`, enclosed in quotation marks as in that example. I can grant you temporary rights until the adoption request concludes, but users seem to have the needed upload rights. Dmehus (talk) 22:49, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
`Could not open lock file for "mwstore://local-backend/local-public/5/55/Enchanted_Book.gif". QuestionLite2 (talk) 07:24, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
I think this might require a Phabricator task. 16:15, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
This should be fixed by Reception. 16:41, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
Ah, great, thanks Bukkit and Reception123. So, QuestionLite2, continue editing the wiki, and I'll assess this in about a week. Dmehus (talk) 16:54, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
I realize this isn't the greatest time to make a request but could it be possible to import the a module like NavboxBuilder? It would allow me to better organize navboxes as most of my planning and organizing actually revolves around navbox creation.
QuestionLite2 (talk) 08:43, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
From what wiki? Wikipedia? Minecraft Wikia? That's certainly possible, you'd just need to import all required templates and modules. For better help, I suggest you use our Discord or IRC where people will be able to help you in real time. Agent Isai Talk to me! 16:08, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
Fandom would be preferred I suppose, but Wikipedia's would also be alright. I'm not sure exactly how to import Lua modules and I don't believe Lua is enabled on the wiki even.
QuestionLite2 (talk) 21:46, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
QuestionLite2 Looking through local editing contributions, this LGTM and is thus  done, with `bureaucrat` and `sysop` rights added to your account. As a helpful reminder, local wikis are run according locally developed guidelines, rules, and other practices developed by the consensus formed from local wikis' communities. Finally, as a helpful note re: Content Policy and the Terms of Use, noting this edit, you should ensure you link to the source wiki in an edit summary to provide proper attribution. It's not too late to correct this, and can be done (for Miraheze wikis) using `[[mh:subdomain:pagename|optional displayed text]]`, where subdomain represents `subdomain.miraheze.org` and pagename is self-explanatory. You can also link to other wikis using the prefix in the wiki's local interwiki table. If you need additional prefixes added, you can request any interwiki administrator or Steward add the prefix for you. Dmehus (talk) 22:12, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

Cosmophilus Though many of your local editing contributions are either somewhat or fairly minor in nature, you do have some page creations of at least a start class and are already one of the wiki's most active contributor. One question, though, when you say you "let this slide for too long (oops)," do you mean to say you are Jamescoolcraft? If so, would you mind logging in from your Jamescoolcraft account and confirming this? Dmehus (talk) 20:14, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Of course not I'm not Jamescoolcraft please check my IP with user checker rights. Best Regards Jiggyziz (talk) 02:01, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Jiggyziz That's not necessary at all. The reason I asked the question is because I was confused by what you meant by you "let this slide for too long (oops)"? Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 02:03, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

I may also join Bukkit in staying around that wiki, if it is adopted. ~ Mazzaz (talk) 00:09, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
Mazzaz I'm not sure if you're interested in contributing to this wiki in a significant way, but in the past, we've had two users competing to adopt the same wiki. In such cases, the successful adoption would go to the user who has made the more and, crucially, more significant edits. So, you're more than welcome to contribute to this wiki at the same as Bukkit. Hope that helps. :) Dmehus (talk) 21:57, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
