- @Krishnaheda: Unfortunately, this is
Not done as for multiple reasons. Firstly, the wiki is not closed, so is not eligible for adoption. Secondly, it is a private wiki, so is not eligible for adoption. Your best bet would be to go Special:RequestWikiQueue on Meta, enter
kidswiki
in the database name field, then contact that requestor, as, presumably, the still currentbureaucrat
on the wiki, and ask them to appoint you asbureaucrat
andadministrator
. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 16:24, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

- Wiki: isv.miraheze.org

- Are you a bureaucrat? (yes/no): NO
- Reason: The wiki is closed - reason no editing within 60 days. That's sadly not true because the last user was on 1 november and the last edit on 30 October. The wiki is still useful, mainly the Vikisbornik part, there are new texts added in the Sbornik:Negotove teksty article, as a repository of Interslavic texts.
Asank (talk) 16:20, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Asank: It's possible new user accounts being attached to a wiki aren't counted as eligible activity, depending on if all or most Special:RecentChanges activity counts. Nevertheless, I do see recent page creations as at 15 October 2020 on this wiki, so I will file a Phabricator task. There's something broken in the code. Dmehus (talk) 17:21, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Asank: I'm going to close this as
Not done as this wiki should not have been closed, and have requested a steward manually reopen the wiki for you. You can track this on Phabricator at T6434. Thanks Dmehus (talk) 17:27, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Asank: @NDKilla: has reopened this wiki for you. Since it seems like this wiki has no active bureaucrats, I would recommend you hold a local election, taking care to take into account the local wiki's permissions elections policies. Assuming your wiki has no local permissions request policies or other election rules, you would follow global customs and conventions for such requests, which see you create an election page on that wiki, on a prominent page, stating the number and type of position(s) you're running for (i.e., administrator, bureaucrat), the name(s) of the candidate(s) running, how long the election shall run for (best practice for 5-7 calendar days), the minimum support ratio required for a successful election, and whether an election can be declared successful after the minimum timeframe if no one expresses a view (i.e., election by acclamation). Once your process has concluded (recommended to last for at least 5-7 calendar days), return to stewards' noticeboard and, in a new thread, state the wiki address, local location of the election, and a steward will assess your local election in absence of a local bureaucrat. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 17:44, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

Vogand (talk) 18:58, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
- This request seems fine to me. A steward should review your request in the next 2-3 weeks, reopen the wiki, allowing you to contribute constructively for at least one week, and then assess your contributions to the wiki and grant rights if successful. Dmehus (talk) 19:10, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
- Alright. How many edits should I do? --Vogand (talk) 19:18, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
- You'll have to wait until a steward reopens the wiki (they'll ping you when they do). There's not really a set number, but I would think creating a few pages, categorizing appropriately some other pages, and copyediting some others would be sufficient. Dmehus (talk) 19:19, 6 November 2020 (UTC)

- @Avengium: a steward should review your request as soon as they can. However, LGTM. Zppix (Meta | Sysadmin | talk to me) 13:59, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Avengium: This wiki is not yet closed, so cannot yet be adopted per Dormancy Policy as it is only inactive. So, while I'm closing this as
Not done, you have a couple options. First, you can wait until it is closed, then rerequest at requests for adoption. Or, second, you can add that page for that character, which should prevent the wiki's closure, and hold a local election on the wiki. Since it seems like this wiki has no active bureaucrats, I would recommend you hold a local election, taking care to take into account the local wiki's permissions elections policies. - Reason: This wiki is closed per Dormancy Policy and I am interested in adopting it to be able to add more content to it.
R4356th (talk) 14:40, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- @R4356th: This appears to have been closed in error, possibly a lingering result of the recent technical issue. When I look at Special:Log/managewiki, I can see that @DuchessTheSponge: reopened the wiki on 25 October 2020, so it should not be eligible for adoption. You can instead requests rights on that wiki, and either a local
bureaucrat
will grant or a steward can be engaged where the bureaucrat is not active after a reasonable period of time. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 15:57, 20 November 2020 (UTC)- I see. Does that mean that I am allowed to make a request for adopting it after two months? Thank you. R4356th (talk) 16:19, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- @R4356th: Yes, if the wiki becomes closed again per Dormancy Policy, absolutely; however, if you look in the history, this wiki has a habit of going dormant and then being reopened by the local
bureaucrat
eventually, so it may not/never happen. Thus, you can contribute to the local wiki and then request local rights on the wiki, sharing joint bureaucrat rights with the existing bureaucrats. Please see the advice I gave to Avengium in the above request on holding a local permissions election, too. Dmehus (talk) 16:24, 20 November 2020 (UTC)- @Dmehus: Okay. Thank you very much for your suggestion. It also looks like John reopened the wiki, a huge thank you to him for this. R4356th (talk) 18:15, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Not done per steward convention that manually closed wikis are ineligible for adoption. - @Zcook1052: As R4356th articulated above, this wiki does not exist. If you mean Miraheze Template Wiki, this wiki is ineligible for adoption as it has been exempted to the policy as one of the main Miraheze community wikis. If there's a specific thing you need, please let me know on my local user talk page on that wiki. If it's a matter of needing a specific user right added to a minor local user group that can be granted, that can likely be undertaken in one of my local capacities.
