Following discussions with a Meta bureaucrat, I have decided to close this, with their permission. This discussion is better suited for the Community portal but MarioBobFan, you are reminded that Miraheze Meta is not a reception wiki and should not be used as a personal wiki. This wiki is purely here to handle issues that are of concern to the global community such as wiki requests, wiki help, wiki reopenings, etc., not so that you can make polls. I think blog posts should be able to be made here, with the reason of them being allowed to be made on a mountainful of reception wikis. I have a mountainful of blog posts I could make, and we should be allowed to make off topic blog posts as well. If they are allowed to be made, then we can protect them if we want to. And if this happens, you can make a countless amounts of them without getting warned, much like when I would constantly make polls on Encyclopedia SpongeBobia.
Oppose Essays are already allowed here, and I think that's good enough. ZeusDeeGoose (talk) 18:48, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
Strong oppose per ZeusDeeGoose, but equally or more importantly, that's not what Meta Wiki is for. Meta Wiki is the central coordination wiki. You're more than welcome to request your own wiki, taking care to define a clear purpose, scope, and topic(s) for your wiki which complies with Content Policy, or you can contribute to an existing wiki where not blocked.
