Bureaucrats
This page provides information on Meta-Wiki Bureaucrats (
bureaucrat ), and lays out relevant policies. |
Meta bureaucrats were users who could manage permissions such as bot, administrator, and other bureaucrats. Their role on Meta was limited to the assigning of the rights listed above. They could resolve disputes and determine consensus in RfCs, user right requests and user removal requests.
Appointment
Users may be nominated or nominate themselves by placing a request on Meta:Requests for permissions. Whenever the nomination is accepted (if nominated by someone else, otherwise submitting the request is immediate acceptation), a request must stay open for at least seven (7) days. During this period, anyone from the Community may Support, Neutral or Oppose a candidate's request.
In order for a user to be nominated for bureaucrat, they must also be a current Meta administrator.
A request will be deemed successful when closed by an existing bureaucrat after achieving a 70% support ratio.
Revocation
A bureaucrat may lose their permissions if:
- A request of no confidence is opened against the user and has a more than 50% support ratio,
- The user loses their administrator status.
Re-addition
There are no clauses for re-addition except for re-appointment following the appointment criteria above.
