Administrators' noticeboard
This page is for matters that need administrators' attention on Meta Wiki only (anything global should be discussed at the Community noticeboard!) Please visit Community noticeboard for matters regarding other wikis, Phabricator for technical requests and Stewards' noticeboard for something that requires a steward.

Here you can:

  • Ask an admin to block a user who is disruptive, vandalizing, or spamming. (on Meta)
  • Request user rights that can be assigned by Meta administrators (autopatrolled, confirmed, rollbacker, translationadmin)
  • Bring up other things that need administrators' attention. (on Meta)

Notes:

  • To request permissions that can't be assigned by an administrator, please see Meta:Requests for permissions
  • To bring up matters that don't apply to this wiki or to request something for another wiki (or can't be handled by administrators), please use Stewards' noticeboard.
  • To ask a question or start a discussion with the Miraheze community please use Community noticeboard

Continued Issues With Inappropriate Wiki[edit source]

Thank you for removing the bulk of the libelous content, but unfortunately I was made aware of similar content on the same wiki (https://truecapitalist.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page) making allegations that are untrue:

https://truecapitalist.miraheze.org/wiki/Jackler on the bottom paragraph it refers to myself as a "pedophile" an extremely false statement. This is abusive behavior, and defamation toward myself made by this wiki, which seems to be premised on articles meant to insult and harass individuals they've targeted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheGiant1 (talkcontribs)

Rename[edit source]

How can i rename my acc

You can make a request from Special:GlobalRenameRequest. However, please bare in mind that sometimes the renaming process will get stuck, resulting in your account being locked out (which will require a phab task to fix).--開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 03:41, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Page move "throttled"[edit source]

User Naleksuh stated that he had tried to move a page in his userspace but got the message, "Action throttled." Both he and the page have age of at least three weeks. Does he need additional permissions to use the Move button successfully? (If so, the Move button ought not to be visible to him.) Is there a coding error in an Abuse Filter? Spıke (talk)03:38 18-Jan-2020

@Spike: @Naleksuh: That is strange, did the message say anything else? Did you try again after? I've checked the abuse log and there are no logs for Naleksuh, so it does not seem to be from there. Reception123 (talk) (C) 06:28, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
I think there's a default speed limit within the MW core system for any actions by users that are not admins nor bots. Maybe he might have been acting too fast (ex. 10+ moves per minute). If this is the case, it can be solved by waiting for a while.--開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 07:39, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
I only attempted one move, and got this message for several hours. I tried uploading a screenshot of the error, but I got the message "This action has been automatically identified as harmful, and therefore disallowed. If you believe your action was constructive, please inform an administrator of what you were trying to do. A brief description of the abuse rule which your action matched is: Uploading on Meta ". That appears to have fixed it. Thank you. Naleksuh (talk) 22:37, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
