This place was used to request "Verified Wiki Users" role on Special:MyLanguage/Discord.

As of November 2019, this is now done by a bot. Type /auth in any channel, and follow the instruction delivered via Discord direct message.

NOTE: Keep in mind that the bot does not always send this PM! If this is not the case, try another channel or run the command again (or both).

For now, it does nothing other than making your username green, but the role may be used to grant access to other channels, or it can be used as a sanity check if we need to lock down the server when it's under attack. As long as the role is not revoked by the staff, WikiAuthBot will automatically grant you the role back if you leave the server and later rejoin with the same Discord account.
