If you are looking to make a report regarding a specific user, in addition to being required to provide a thorough and complete report, you should also know that reports by anonymous or logged out users are not taken very seriously for a couple reasons, namely that:

  1. We cannot ascertain who is making the report; and,
  2. Western liberal democracies enshrine in a citizen's fundamental, constitutionally-enshrined legal rights the right to know and face one's accuser, and Miraheze is no different.

Accordingly, please kindly login. If you are unable to login, please e-mail tech(at) with your username and the specific error message you are receiving, and they will assist you, or direct you to other global functionaries where appropriate.

Stewards' noticeboard
This noticeboard is only requests that require Stewards', or, in a limited number of circumstances, Global Sysops', intervention. If in doubt, please try community noticeboard first, and you will be directed here if the matter requires a Steward

On Stewards' noticeboard (this page), you can:

  • Request a steward or Global Sysop to lock a spam only or vandalism only account. Note that for vandalism only accounts, the vandalism must meet the global standard definition for vandalism and to be a vandalism only account, there must be no or almost no constructive editing behaviour and, additionally, this behaviour should be occurring on multiple wikis
  • Report a Username Policy violation (whether in good-faith or bad faith)
  • Report a user suspected of abusing multiple accounts per user accounts policy. You must link to specific revisions from both the suspected master and illegitimate alternate account(s)
  • Request additional permissions on your wiki(s) that can only be granted by a steward, such as local interwiki administrator
  • Request a page requiring the bigdelete user right (more than 1,000 revisions) be deleted on your wiki
  • Request a Dormancy Policy exemption for your wiki
  • Report systemic Code of Conduct problems occurring by one or more user(s) on one or more wiki(s) and/or systemic Content Policy violations on one or more wiki(s). In either case, your report must link to specific revisions and, in the latter case, your report must be both thorough and comprehensive

If you would like to:

Please remember to:

  • Sign your request using ~~~~

CheckUser required on FAMEPedia[edit | edit source]

Hello stewards a sockpuppet investigation case on FAMEPedia requires the CheckUser to check a possible sockpuppetry. More details can be seen on the investigation page. Thanks!

On behalf of FAMEPedia SPI clerks,
~ Mazzaz (talk)

X mark.svg Not done as a CheckUser is not required here for what are obvious alternate accounts. Speaking as a local sysop, I don't feel the original block was justified, and should be reviewed and discussed locally. Speaking as a Steward, this is thus procedurally out of place, so is X mark.svg not done for the reasons articulated herein. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 19:01, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

CheckUser request on suspicious users:[edit | edit source]

To Void or anyone with the Steward rights, listen closely: I am requesting a CheckUser on both of these 2 accounts, mainly because I have noticed that Bling-Bling Boy was replacing content with nonsense like this one, and while the other one, "Mrs. Puff", blanked out this page and even going as far as to replace some sections of content with complete nonsense here. I have a feeling that these 2 accounts were created with the intention of targeting specific articles like the Johnny Test pages on both the Terrible Shows & Episodes Wiki and the Best Shows & Episodes Wiki, and 2 SpongeBob movies on the Greatest Movies Wiki, with similar edit summaries, and the way they make their marks. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 20:15, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can you usurp my old and new account?[edit | edit source]

I had to make an new account because my password was not working, can you please combine my old account s contributions on all the wikis I visited please, this is really important Gilimaster69 2.0 (talk) 20:22, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

He confirmed on his Discord that Gilimaster69 and this account ARE the same master. MarioMario456 22:23, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok but but what about all of my contributions. Gilimaster69 2.0 (talk) 23:06, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
also can you do the same thing you did to gust Gilimaster69 2.0 (talk) 01:50, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh wait never mind about me from getting my password i just got my account back but keep gilimaster699 2.0 for emails (talk)

What is an "interwiki prefix"?[edit | edit source]

Hello. I want to import pages from this wiki to this wiki. my problem about importing is that if I submit an XML file without entering an interwiki prefix, I get a message saying:

"Import failed: * Loss of session data. You might have been logged out. Please verify that you're still logged in and try again. If it still does not work, try logging out and logging back in, and check that your browser allows cookies from this site. * No interwiki prefix was supplied"

Please help me. SPEEDYBEAVER (talk) 15:09, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You want wikia:reverse-terrible-tv-shows putting in that box :) ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (     online) 15:10, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
RhinosF1 Sorry to barge in here, but it just so happens that I have downloaded the necessary files to import to that wiki, so maybe I could help him. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 15:12, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
SPEEDYBEAVER I've managed to do this trick: "wikia:reverse-terrible-tv-shows", and it had no issues there. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 15:20, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Even then, I see another message saying "Import failed: Expected <mediawiki> tag, got". SPEEDYBEAVER (talk) 15:13, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That means the file is broken. Maybe DMM can try? ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (     online) 15:14, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion request[edit | edit source]

I'm a bureaucrat on Terrible Shows & Episodes Wiki. I would want Celebdumb to be deleted, it failed and must die, it turned into a celebrity-shaming page. The problem is that it requires bigdelete. Can someone do it? MarioMario456 02:10, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

MarioMario456 Ordinarily, I'd probably prefer to double-check with DuchessTheSponge, but seeing as they are currently blocked on Meta Wiki together with the fact that you're both bureaucrats and administrators on that wiki whose visions, generally speaking, seem to be frequently in sync with each other as well as the fact that their most recent edit summary (i.e., "this page is useless for now") seemed to confirm that they either (a) agreed with deletion or (b) did not object to it. Accordingly, this has been Yes check.svg done. Dmehus (talk) 20:21, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reopen Ficreation[edit | edit source]

Hi, I'm a user among others on Ficreation who was not warned that it would be hastily closed with none of the pages loading, this was done by the user MBL because of some petty infighting among the admins, could you please have MBL undo what he has done, or do so yourselves, thank you. Freighttrain (talk) 05:31, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Freighttrain: Hello, this does appear to be a local dispute; Stewards generally let these be resolved by the community. If I recall well, Ficreation had various bureaucrats, any of them can reopen the wiki at Special:ManageWiki/core. However, should bureaucrats not respond to community calls to reopen the wiki and if it is community consensus that the wiki be reopened, you all can hold an election where users of the wiki can vote and decide if the wiki should be reopened. If you gain a majority, Stewards will reopen ther wiki. Thank you. Agent Isai Talk to me! 05:38, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sock that needs checking:[edit | edit source]

I'm going to list a bunch of things that might be an indication that DearMaster6 might be behind this:

In conclusion, I can safely conclude that DearMaster6 is abusing multiple accounts, and has been suspected of using 2 other accounts prior to locking, like Teen Titans Go! Rocks and The something guy mainly due to both those accounts, and DearMaster6 using the "It's a rip-off of X" claim onto pages. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 16:16, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree there are some similarities, but why was Mr. Namless Thing blocked other than for suspicion of abusing multiple accounts? Given how long ago DearMaster6 was blocked, if you don't have a legitimate reason for locally blocking Mr. Namless Thing, I'd rather prefer to see you unblock them, welcome them to your wikis, and do point them towards each local wiki's rules as well as our global policies. Dmehus (talk) 00:41, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Good question: DearMaster6 was originally blocked for inserting gibberish into pages. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 00:43, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

please unblock me in many wikis.[edit | edit source]

I am very regretted my past action in 2020. because i want to change it to the better. i want to move on from now and forget my past wrongdoings. can you blocked me from these wikis i listed above? i want to be a block free user because i am matured enough. please tell me that i am an innocent person right now. QwertyMan'65 (talk) 17:09, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@QwertyMan'65: Stewards cannot assist in this unfortunately. Please contact the administrators of that wiki to appeal your bans. Thank you for your understanding. Agent Isai Talk to me! 17:19, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I might be able to unblock him on most of the wikis he is mentioning since I happen to be an admin on those wikis except for the Internet Villains Wiki. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 20:46, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, look at my link below where block evidence remains:
I am very regretted my past action and very sorry for you.
I need to be a better person and I have to move on to be a brighter future.
please lift my block appeal now because I am improved my behavior outside and inside the internet. QwertyMan'65 (talk) 09:12, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
When you can unblock me on all above the wiki? because I want to move on. I want to change into a good user. I must to forgot my atrocious pasts to get a good character. you can see my proof on the link to click above. QwertyMan'65 (talk) 14:24, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What's happening? Why can't I edit in this wiki?[edit | edit source]

What's going on? Why can't I read or edit any of these pages? Is there something I did wrong? I don't understand this. I was just visiting this wiki, checking out some pages that I could read, and edit my own pages. But's what's happening in here. Is there a stop to this? Let me know, I want to be on this wiki again. The Posthumous (talk) 01:42, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@The Posthumous: What errors are you getting? Agent Isai Talk to me! 01:44, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Are you talking about the Incredible Characters Wiki & the Loathsome Characters Wiki? If so, we closed them due to changes in the Qualitipedia re-branding process. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 02:10, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for asking agent isai, I Was just visiting to read some pages. And edit a few mistakes. But I suddenly I could this page says permission error, I didn't know what was going on? Isaiah, there a way to fix this permission error thing? The Posthumous (talk) 04:29, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@The Posthumous: As DarkMatterMan4500 has pointed out, this was done because of Quailipedia rebranding. I believe it'll reopen based on those comments. Agent Isai Talk to me! 04:31, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's not re-opening, that was part of the decision to close them. TigerBlazer (talk) 17:44, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What happened to the Greatest and Loathsome Characters Wikis? I was going to go on it, but then it was closed and is private. What happened? That is the things. MarioBobFan (talk) 03:01, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please reopen Loathsome Characters Wiki and Great Characters Wiki![edit | edit source]

 Manningkj089 (talk) 13:08, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please read this blog post for more info. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 13:10, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
For this section and any other user that comes in here, the Stewards have no role in this. It was a locally made decision by some of the top local admins. You should contact them first. The shot was evidently fired (per DMM's above link) by DuchessTheSponge. --Raidarr (talk) 14:02, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I think stewards do. Users would like to fork the wiki to keep it running. On this subject the content policy says:
"[You may not create] a direct fork of another Miraheze wiki where little to no attempts have been made to mediate situations on the existing wiki or existing community. If mediation has been attempted and failed, contact a steward who will be able to support the community through any follow up processes deemed necessary including but not limited to acceptance of a fork wiki as an exemption to this clause."
I think that it is fairly clear that there is a disagreement over the wiki - the admins want to close it but several users would like it to stay up. I don't know whether stewards think that adequate mediation has happened or not but (unless the admins chose to put the wikis up for adoption) they should step in either to say what mediation should look like or to support the community with forking the wiki. ~ El Komodos Drago (talk to me) 14:08, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
We actually did allow some community consensus, as people shared their thoughts on that action on the blog before locking the wikis was done. TigerBlazer (talk) 18:34, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
"Some" does not suffice. The decision was made on the same day, not to mention it was a discussion before the discussion was pushed through with an action announced afterwards. Then, you had/have evidence of several users with investment who clearly had no idea what was going on. Concensus is achieved after appropriate time for all regulars to appear, and on the wiki that is in question - not made on its behalf on a different wiki, even if it is the largest of its group. Due to this questionable state of consensus, the amount of still-interested people and the quoted clause provided by El Komodos Drago, it is reasonable for users to request a new version or even a transfer of power to admins who still care about the premise, even as other admins and users don't. To hand off content when it doesn't suit personal fancy instead of purging it, as is too common on that neck of the woods I'm afraid. So for the Steward audience there is a case for the exception to be made, and for that matter, there is no case for you or anyone else to discourage the creation of an alternative for those who care (although reopening the existing one would be more tricky and is up to them). --Raidarr (talk) 22:28, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Close my account[edit | edit source]

I would like my account to be locked because I'm no longer using it MicroGarfield (talk) 05:48, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@MicroGarfield: globally or just on a specific wiki? Angelo Pisani (talk) 08:41, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
MicroGarfield Accounts don't necessarily get deleted around here unless stated otherwise under any normal circumstances. Hope that helps. :) DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 14:57, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Globally MicroGarfield (talk) 12:56, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
MicroGarfield, do you want your account to be globally locked, renamed to a random hash (but recoverable later), or renamed and anonymized to a random hash (not recoverable later)? All are possible. If either of the first two, I can handle this in my steward capacity. If the latter one, I can handle this in another capacity. Dmehus (talk) 01:00, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Globally MicroGarfield (talk) 12:56, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, MicroGarfield; however, both alternatives result in global locks. Do you wish to be able to recover your account at a later time, or no? Dmehus (talk) 23:35, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No I do not my account to be recovered MicroGarfield (talk) 18:44, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Demote Game2Winter on polandballwiki[edit | edit source]

Hello, though I am in no way affiliated with this community, I am here on behalf of the bureaucrats of polandballwiki as they have asked for my help. It has been decided by community consensus and bureaucrat consensus that Game2Winter must be demoted for attempted take over of the wiki. The bureaucrats and community now ask that this user be demoted by Stewards of their bureaucratic rights. Below will be the bureaucrats affirming this decision. Agent Isai Talk to me! 23:50, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm a Bureaucrat on the Polandball Wiki and this is my affirmation. MxMelody (talk) 23:58, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm one of the bureaucrats on the Polandball Wiki and this is my affirmation. ChocoMingo (talk) 00:02, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THIS: I was not trying to take over the wiki, I was simply trying to maintain my bureaucrat powers. A side note here, I was the one who founded the wiki (you can see proof, my account is the oldest in the Polandball Wiki). I gave all of them the bureaucrat role because A) they had been in the community for a long time and B) they were trustworthy, and now they are trying to stage a mutiny against me. Which side are you on? Game2Winter (talk) 23:59, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can you at least tell me how I'm supposed to download XML dumps? Because if I go to download them, all I get is a document tree. Plus, I need them for my future projects. SPEEDYBEAVER (talk) 21:27, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@SPEEDYBEAVER: Are you trying to make an export on Miraheze? If so, go to Special:DataDump on your wiki and request an export dump be made. Agent Isai Talk to me! 21:54, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
But I'm talking about resurrecting deleted wikis from the dead (such as Heroes Wiki of Miraheze). SPEEDYBEAVER (talk) 21:58, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SPEEDYBEAVER: To request an XML dump of a wiki that was closed, you will need to open a Phabricator task, asking that the wiki be reopened. Agent Isai Talk to me! 22:02, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
But I'm talking about wikis that are permanently deleted, meaning that I will need direct links to download their backups. SPEEDYBEAVER (talk) 22:05, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SPEEDYBEAVER: Again, you can ask for a sysadmin on Phabricator to provide you the XML dump. Agent Isai Talk to me! 04:38, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
But again, there are wikis that were permanently deleted, meaning there's no way to generate backups. In addition to that, some of them went as far as violating Content Policy and sometimes Code of Conduct. These include,

But I still want said wikis' dumps because they may be useful in the future. SPEEDYBEAVER (talk) 07:48, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Available backups will be on if any exist. The wikis were dropped so we can't take new XMLs now. Reception123 is out of office (not that we have physical offices) so won't be able to see if they are on server. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (     online) 08:26, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
But, like what I said, I can't download XML files so, I need help. SPEEDYBEAVER (talk) 09:13, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If you cannot download from, then you are completely out of luck. It's rather strange that you decide to make a 'if you are going to do this' title and content when the decision has been done for more than enough time for the right people to exercise due diligence. Unfortunately quick searches don't give me database names to resemble what you're looking for. But that doesn't mean they aren't buried somewhere. --Raidarr (talk) 11:23, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well, here are the database names for each of them, respectively,

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── SPEEDYBEAVER The wikis you have mentioned have been wiped from the database months ago, so the dumps might not be there for whatever reason. In addition, it is worth noting that the Atrocious YouTubers Wiki, Horrible Vyonders Wiki, and Toxic Fandoms & Hatedoms Wiki were recently wiped from the database. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 13:25, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But, can you at least help me how I'm supposed to download dumps? SPEEDYBEAVER (talk) 14:27, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If you didn't understand what I'm saying, just go to here, and click ones that end with ".xml". And see what I'm talking about. SPEEDYBEAVER (talk) 19:51, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SPEEDYBEAVER: I have verified all the wikis you are looking for are inside that tar file (excluding unfavorablefandomwikiswiki and thestarinwiki). To get the XML dumps, download "wikibackups27102019.tar.gz," open it with a dedicated program (like 7-zip, WinRAR, just to name a few) and then inside you will find the .xml's for the wikis you are looking for. Renaming my account only on a select few wikis.[edit | edit source]

I'm planning on renaming my account sometime in the future, but I'm wondering if it is possible to do so on the wikis of my choosing instead of every wiki, as there's a lot of wikis I don't want to be attached to anymore. DeciduousWater534 (talk) 03:12, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@DeciduousWater534: Because of the way our login system, CentralAuth, is designed, it's not possible to unattach and rename your account on certain wikis. If you want your account renamed, you have to have it renamed globally. Sorry for the inconvenience. Agent Isai Talk to me! 03:22, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Huh, okay. I guess I'll just make a new account then and use that new account (provided I won't get in trouble for having multiple accounts). Thanks for letting me know. --DeciduousWater534 (talk) 03:28, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
DeciduousWater534 That's totally fine. What you might want to do is create a global user page on Loginwiki, for your new account, stating that it is the alternate account of DeciduousWater534 and you will make every effort to not edit on wikis where locally blocked on your main account, but if you do, to just drop you a note. That shows good intentions and faith on your part. Dmehus (talk) 00:56, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Qqqqqqqq: What is your wiki? Agent Isai Talk to me! 05:25, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Agent Isai I think he's referring to both the Incredible Characters Wiki and the Loathsome Characters Wiki. And I can't stress out how many times I've been seeing requests like these pop up here for a number of days. Making demands or unnecessary requests to have them re-opened while there was a community consensus on a blog post from Crappy Games Wiki have all voted to have both of the wikis closed down were unanimous. I'm going to have to ask that everybody should stop with the requests to having both of them re-opened. And to be honest, characters don't exactly have reception, unlike toys, or other types of media. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 13:21, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah dude, they are never coming back. TigerBlazer (talk) 17:45, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To the contrary, I think it is probably inevitable that they do come back. The question is whether the admins do the sensible thing and put the wiki up for adoption or whether we wait for it to be closed, grab the backup from Archive.Org, and file a create a wiki request with the backup. ~ El Komodos Drago (talk to me) 01:08, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit | edit source]

Alright, so I've mostly finished setting up my new account (which I'm using right now), and I no longer have any use for the old account. Is it okay if my old account gets globally locked? I have no intention of going back. --Blazikeye535 (talk) 05:24, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Blazikeye535: Are you asking to have your old account globally locked? If so, please provide your old username and a Steward will advise you of the options available to you. Agent Isai Talk to me! 07:14, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, my old account is DeciduousWater534. I will confirm this request on that account as well. —Blazikeye535 (talk) 14:24, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is my old account which I will no longer use, and I am again confirming that I want this account (which is DeciduousWater534, and not Blazikeye535) globally locked. —DeciduousWater534 (talk) 14:29, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Blazikeye535 Face-smile.svg Thank you for confirming from both of your accounts. Yes check.svg Done. Please make sure you do not edit on the sephspacewiki where your original account was locally blocked. I would recommend not visiting that wiki as well. The wiki is, or was last I checked, private, so you'd not be able to view it anyway. Dmehus (talk) 01:15, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
My block on that wiki was the main reason why I created my new account, that block on CentralAuth stuck out like a sore thumb, which constantly irked me. I know that sounds like a crazy excuse for creating a new account, but I tried multiple times in the past to either get unblocked from the wiki or have my account detached from that wiki and a ton of other wikis, but to no avail, so I went with my last resort option (which was making a new account). I use the CentralAuth very commonly to look at contributions and blocks, and to prevent the usual trolls/vandals from vandalizing wikis they have yet to vandalize, and the quick way I pull it up is through a highlighted link to my global account info. That's why the block constantly got to me, I was constantly reminded of my past mistakes seeing it every single time, as well as worrying about getting blocked on a few other wikis associated with that wiki. Anyways, thanks for locking the account, I'll make sure to stick to my wikis and wikis that are harmless while avoiding wikis containing the users that I have bad blood with. --Blazikeye535 (talk) 03:54, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dormancy policy on Lostech wiki[edit | edit source]

Hello, I am the founder and nearly only contributor of Lostech wiki (, a resource on the BattleTech franchise, with over 2900 articles.

I would like to ask for an exception to inactivity and auto-closing due to the following reasons.

  • I don't have time to make frequent edits.
  • As the game updates very slowly there may be long periods without new rules (indeed, the base rules have barely changed in nearly 40 years).
  • The resource is still useful even if it isn't updated constantly.
  • It is the only BattleTech wiki with mixed fanmade and official content.
  • Several articles and sections have unique info not found anywhere else.

Thanks in advance. --NimoStar (talk) 12:45, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

CheckUser request for Key-Power[edit | edit source]

Request CU for the above 2 accounts. This is because the behavior at the time of posting is very similar and these accounts may be bypassing the block. SchwarzTalk / ウソペディア 20:25, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Could you explain what made you draw the conclusion that these 2 accounts are possibly related to each other? Draw out the diffs, if possible. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 20:40, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
S/he often writes "おk" in the summary (Posted by Key-Power on Usopedia, Posted by ロープTA on Uncyclopedia). This is a slang that stands for "OK" in Japan, and I don't see any users other than s/he writing in the summary. There are other small similarities such as style and puns, but it is very difficult for me to translate them into English and explain them.--SchwarzTalk / ウソペディア 21:01, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see the similarity you mention in that diff. Can you link to some other diffs, please? Based upon that, an investigation into possible user accounts policy contravention may be warranted. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 01:08, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding the puns I mentioned above, puns with similar trends have been posted on usopedia and shiromachiya (comments on shiromachiya have been deleted). Even if you try to translate these from Japanese to English, it is very difficult to translate because the sentences are meaningless, but words A and a with similar sounds are lined up, followed by words B and b with similar sounds. The style of arranging them is very similar. I don't know if these comments will be accepted as evidence, but it's certainly a special tendency not seen by other users.--SchwarzTalk / ウソペディア 02:34, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Is this not enough reason for the request?--SchwarzTalk / ウソペディア 01:47, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Falsely Accused of Pedophilia[edit | edit source]

I recently made a blog about hentai on Crappy Games and though I deleted it because it was causing some drama, a comment I made was taken out of proportion and now I'm being accused of being a pedophile. All I said was that in some hentai lolis are actually adults, and named two hentai that proved my point. Because of this, I've been blocked on all the Reception Wikis and my repuation is now shot to hell. I am not a pedophile I was merely trying to explain something and now it's being blown way out of proportion. I'd like to be unblocked and explain my side of the story. Grust (talk) 21:47, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkMatterMan4500: Are they still banned from posting on the SN? Agent Isai Talk to me! 22:41, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, their blocks were modified by Dmehus around 20 hours ago. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 00:02, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't trying to be a pedophile. I was even invited to share my side of the story on Discord before I was banned. For hating cancel culture you sure are trying to avoid hearing my side of the story. Grust (talk) 22:20, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Okay an update, I just heard that what I said is still technically illegal in the U.K. but safe in the U.S. where I reside. If that is indeed the case, I won't pursue ending my block any further and will leave the matter closed. Grust (talk) 22:45, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Illegal is contingent on the content in question being a deliberate drawing of children in an obscene context, while you made a statement discussing them in context of the 'adult age despite being called loli' if I remember the screencap correctly. That is not so decisive under UK law as far as I know, though it's up to someone more versed to say. Either way I personally found the affair disproportionately handled and the accusation still inaccurate. --Raidarr (talk) 00:21, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Raidarr: In the end, it doesn't matter now, that disproportion has already destroyed my reputation and now more think I'm a creep even though all I did was say something stupid. I hear some on Discord are defending me but I got blocked before I could say anything. Even if I'm found innocent and my reputation is somehow restored to life, this incident will ensure that even if I'm unblocked, I won't be returning to the Reception Wikis. Grust (talk) 00:50, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It’s ok bud. I will avenge you and hopefully operate the wikis. Hope you do good. jrStudios (talk) 01:08, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Grust I have deleted the topic, for mainly not having enough evidence to back up their claims on that. Anyone who is caught restoring the topic will receive a warning from me. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 01:10, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please consider a policy of archiving with an open warning and otherwise curating reasonable outlets to discuss, rather than the continued trend of deleting evidence for those trying to piece things together themselves. --Raidarr (talk) 01:37, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
At this point a defense of you is on principle. Against weakly substantiated accusations of pedophilia, against the tendency to bizarre rash decisions from a small handful of local admins, and against the misinformation culture that would needlessly do the reputation damage. Void indicates it is the determination of the community. At this point I must claim there is no universal determination. It's whoever makes the most compelling sounding statement, with big decision being taken on them as soon as 5 minutes in between. The most bizarre consequence of this so far has been the purging of any mention of you from various pages by users who take the claim of pedophilia for granted and react morally while all evidence of the topic has been purged and must be drawn like teeth from select admins. The claim meanwhile is seen on several entries from CentralAuth, thanks to the disproportionate scale of a QP moderation block. That is not acceptable. Nothing that was mentioned in the blog justifies this level of response, even if I would declare the entire post was in completely bad taste given the audience and dare I say, the sensitivity that has been proven here about its contents. --Raidarr (talk) 01:29, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To be clear, what I am asking here is for feedback from the community regarding whether or not they find the behavior to be acceptable. I also find the blog and comment to be distasteful, but not personally warranting any real moderation action (particularly where the author requested deletion). This is a screenshot of the comment in question. I believe the accusations and blocks to be overreactions, and will be modifying the block summaries as a common courtesy (cc @DarkMatterMan4500 and DuchessTheSponge:). -- Void Whispers 01:48, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Void I'm actually reversing Grust's blocks as we speak. It was DEFINITELY not warranted at all, and I wasn't quite comfortable with the blocks handed to him. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 01:50, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I found the multiple actual log deletions to be additionally strange. Other than that I think it's fair to say that the behavior was not good (on the discord there was a fair amount of backlash, and some users including myself took issue with the type of content being put into a blog on the wiki) but the response to that would be along the lines of deleting the content and blocking the topic, and not an absolute purge. As it stands the opinion in general is mixed leaning to 'that's disproportionate', based on observation of Discord and local commentary. It's worth noting that some of the backlash is linked to wider drama that is quite a lot of mess to sift through. One underlying issue is the frequent decision making that not only fails to consult the community beyond very short lived blog posts and a couple supports, but fails to even give fellow admins time to react before acting (ie, DarkMatterMan had no way of catching up to the events that happened in a matter of hours between post deletion, restoration, and the escalation to claims of pedophilia). It's a wider issue than what you ask, but the background confusion plays into the difficulty of a clear and impartial statement here. --Raidarr (talk) 01:54, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice. UK Law does prohibit cartoon pornography depicting minors, even should the character depicted as underage be stated to be above the age of consent (eg looks 10 but is 100 is not a valid defense). Regardless, the legality of such images is outside of the purview of us here, as no matching images were distributed through Miraheze. It is not—to the best of my understanding—illegal to discuss such contents. Though it is a risky topic, as we may be required to remove and/or report to the authorities any material that encourages or distributes such images (including via links). I may be incorrect on that last point though. Ultimately, it is the determination of the community what behavior they find acceptable or not. I do invite users comment on this regard, however I strongly recommend not to label individuals as a "pedophile" out of interest of not provoking libel/defamation. -- Void Whispers 01:09, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Void Exactly my way of thinking. And to think I was labeled as a pedophile multiple times, especially with no evidence by the accusers, and this is the very same ordeal that had the trolls locked for such libelous accusations here. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 01:12, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Void: After learning that law, I made some major changes to the Animated Muscle Men Wiki. I removed characters that were in Loli hentai and made a rule saying that muscle men in loli or shota hentai weren't allowed, I got rid of muscular kids and I changed the minimum age for hunks from 14 to 17. Grust (talk) 01:33, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@DarkMatterMan4500: If I have to still be banned from the Reception Wikis, can you change my blocks to something a little more respectable. Say I made a horrible mistake and I'm willing to face the consequences. Grust (talk) 01:33, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I read the comments Grust wrote and I don't see how it made him a pedophile. Some of you guys don't know what a pedophile is. A pedophile is a person who made sexual pleasure towards children and I don't see Grust say anything inappropriate towards children. All he said was "Some hentai girls are actually adults".

Joekido (talk) 01:24, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you :) Grust (talk) 01:34, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To make another point Void, I probably would've warned him instead, rather than indefinitely block him over something rather stupid or could've just made a partial block for at least 60 hours (2 and a half days to be accurate), as that's all there is. If he was REALLY a pedophile, then they should, at the very least, provide context of him having FANTASIES of actual children, provide screenshots to back up their claims (and make sure they are accurate and just not plain libel or defamation). This was quite the interesting topic I've seen all day, and I'm sure all of you just can't stress how over-reactive this was, to the point of Grust being cancelled. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 02:01, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. The Dunkman (talk) 08:51, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe given the clear volume of community interest (I count 8 people asking about it on meta, 4 directly asking for it to be reopened) you'll put it up for adoption. I do not want to offend or upset the Qualipedia admins (and I can completely understand if they dislike this wiki and wish it disassociated from Qualipedia) but I can not comprehend what made them think that deliberately preventing the wikis from being adopted was a good idea and view their actions in this regard as unreasonable and obstinate. ~ El Komodos Drago (talk to me) 12:59, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Given the trajectory (regular new sections all on the same topic) I recommend to traffic an open discussion (ie here and perhaps for meta admins or a steward to close/combine new queries and point them that way. --Raidarr (talk) 15:15, 17 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Abuse Filter Throttle[edit | edit source]

As an emergency measure, to support counter vandalism operations, SRE raised the AbuseFilter threshold significantly as a global abuse filter was throttled.

This was only an emergency measure and we will be returning this to its default state within the next few days as it poses a risk to the site in the event of actual issues with a filter syntax.

This means that unless abuse filters are changed to be split up or moved to the spam blacklist, when they are edited, they will be disabled if they hit more than 5% of edits within 24 hours of being edited.

We will confirm later which filters hit more than 5% of actions.

If a filter does get throttled, we can override it on the server side but would rather not outside of a geniune emergency.

I would like MarioMario456 to be globaled[edit | edit source]

He is a part of the forbidden wiki called Encyclopedia Dramatica in which he used that wiki to doxx people's personal info on the wiki in which is not allowed on Miraheze. He should be globaled for harassment, doxxing, and stuff. Fainted (talk) 13:15, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Forbidden wiki" is invalid in this context, given ED has nothing to do with Miraheze. Behavior on Miraheze is what matters. If you're going to gravedig about a user on another platform, the least you can do is provide a case with evidence and links. Interestingly you have just been banned by DarkMatterMan4500 over on Qualitipedia for sockpuppetry and making claims that are apparently very similar to previously banned users/accounts there. So you might want to strengthen your case if you're writing in good faith, since this is not enough to global anyone. --Raidarr (talk) 13:38, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply] Fainted (talk) 13:46, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there! I want to have checkuser authority for wikim. How can I get? I will be glad if you answer my question. Ekrexso (talk) 16:22, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, You will need to ask a Steward to perform the check for you. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (     online) 17:25, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
As RhinosF1 pointed out, checkusers are only preformed by Stewards. The right is not generally granted to anyone except in truly exceptional circumstances (but even so, I don't think anyone has ever gotten CheckUser before though I may be wrong). Agent Isai Talk to me! 18:15, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ekrexso: Because CheckUser allows you to access personal information (like IP addresses), it is reserved for highly trusted individuals such as the Stewards. If you believe that a user is using sockpuppets on your wiki, you can always request a CheckUser for them on here, attach relevant evidence/things you think suggest someone is a sockpuppet, and a Steward will check it out and report back to you. Thanks. Agent Isai Talk to me! 18:25, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Agent Isai: ip addresses of the auditor authority, etc. I know you show I know this is a special privilege. I'll post the evidence shortly. Ekrexso (talk) 18:29, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reopen Incredible Characters WIki[edit | edit source]

Can we please reopen Incredible Characters Wiki? I never got a chance to edit it. MetalKnight96 (talk) 21:19, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

MetaKnight96 I'm afraid not. It was closed mainly due to the characters not exactly having a reception. So the toy reception wikis will be taking its place. Plus, I've seen requests like these multiple times, and demanding it to be re-opened will not get it re-opened, I'm afraid. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 21:33, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That makes it 5 users requesting reopening. How many users would it take for it to be reopened? Everyone on Miraheze? The administrators who have decided for the community what the community wants are acting in blatant violation of what Miraheze was set up to provide. ~ El Komodos Drago (talk to me) 13:58, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There's no precedent in that regard. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (     online) 14:06, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Slander on a Wiki clone[edit | edit source]

A user by the name of Attackofthecatpeople69 has created a clone of the UnAnything Wiki. (Their clone: ; the original ) The home page of their fork initially contained slander against me specifically, as well as misleading claims about staff on Fandom. Though this section appears to have been partially removed (I had no involvement in it’s removal, whether it be directly or not) sections are still present. I know that the slander was directed at me because the exact same hate-rant was posted on their Deviantart page, in which my Fandom username is referenced. (

I will prove that some of the slanderous claims from the original hate-rant on the home page are indeed false: the reason that their Fandom account was globally blocked was not only due to an abuse of user rights, using Javascript to do mass page vandalism, but also due to account sockpuppetry. (using the account KMFStudios to avoid a global block on the account KATMAKROFAN) They discovered that I had reported their account after viewing public discussions. Another claim is that I have “manipulated a Miraheze steward” which cannot be possible when I have not even contacted a Miraheze steward on this topic before. I do not know specifically how to disprove the other claims, but at least I have been able to successfully disprove these two.

Finally, I am hosting a vote on the original UnAnything to decide whether or not the fork/clone should be requested for removal, asI have been told that is the system for fork closure. (A link to this poll is here )

Thankyou for your time. GNE0001 (talk) 06:45, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Standard procedure is that a 'clone' with proper attribution and does not violate our Content policy cannot be removed if the original source is another platform (like Fandom). However, the more slanderous claims are likely in violation of the linked policy and would likely result in them being contacted to remove it, at worst removal (though if they are compliant as far as taking out the nasty stuff, they may not be closed).
Personally though, the wiki doesn't seem to be operating in good faith. Though they've gone on a deletion spree, the content they deleted (with some rather suspicious edit summary removals) looks rather mean spirited. So I'd give this a chance to play out, and my personal apologies for what seems to be someone's immature and frankly rather salty use of our platform. I'm just speaking as a regular, not any official role (including Steward). --Raidarr (talk) 12:06, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
"Finally, I am hosting a vote on the original UnAnything to decide whether or not the fork/clone should be requested for removal, asI have been told that is the system for fork closure." I am unsure where this information has come from, but it is not correct. Forks are defined in the Content Policy as being "a direct fork of another Miraheze wiki where little to no attempts have been made to mediate situations on the existing wiki or existing community." Based on the link, you are claiming it is a fork of a Fandom wiki - which is allowed on our platform and does not breach the Content Policy simply for being a 'fork'. As such, any vote on an external platform to close a wiki on Miraheze for being a 'fork' would not be respected by Stewards as it is not a community vote on Miraheze that Stewards can assess and be held accountable for enacting. John (talk) 14:24, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure that anything needs to be said further here. I will just note that you're referencing a Fandom wiki. When you create a Fandom wiki, you and your contributors license your content under the CreativeCommons license whereby, typically, your content may be reused, in whole or in part, with attribution to the source wiki. Improper attribution is a valid copyright complaint, but that's not what you're claiming. In any case, where infringement of CreativeCommons copyright licensing was reported to Stewards, we would work with the wiki to provide an appropriate level of attribution, not close a wiki on the first report where no attempt to remediate the problem was given. Based on your report, this seems like a two-party dispute. I would suggest the two of you resolve this through other means. Dmehus (talk) 23:39, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Cancel my rename request[edit | edit source]

I honestly want to think before renaming my account, so could you cancel it? SPEEDYBEAVER (talk) 03:56, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

X mark.svg Request withdrawn per your request. To be honest, you're well known and established by this username here on Meta Wiki, so I'd recommend sticking with this account. You can also create additional accounts, with a recommendation to create them on Meta Wiki while logged in and to list them on a global user page or Meta user page for transparency reasons. This will help to ensure you abide by user accounts policy and not use your alternate accounts where your main account is blocked locally or otherwise restricted. @SporeShroom2007: Hello, I take it that you are requesting a global lock, correct? If so, Miraheze offers 2 types of global locks: a lock where your account is locked, renamed and hidden but is recoverable by the Stewards if in the future you'd like to restore the account or a lock where your account is renamed, hidden, and cannot be recovered ever again. Please let us know what you'd like. Thank you. Agent Isai Talk to me! 02:21, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Krazog82, please visit Special:UserLogin and use the forgot password? link to have a new password e-mailed to your registered, confirmed e-mail address on file. If you do not have a registered, confirmed e-mail address on file, then you are, unfortunately, out of luck, unless you can remember your password. Noting similar behaviour to this thread, may I also ask if you have created other accounts, notably either Hrvcfr and Sperosdurell? Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 23:27, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sperosdurell Thanks, I appreciate your candor. Your creating malformed, out of scope RfCs when you've been previously advised by other administrators doesn't help much. Given this, I would personally recommend you pick one account to use on Meta. You could then self-request your other accounts be blocked on Meta Wiki to guide you to use that one, chosen account. What happened to Wage Sus?[edit | edit source]

A couple days ago, I just noticed that the wiki was closed for some reason? Why? Did it violate the Code of Conduct? I don't recall it being as drama-fueled as SephSpace was, so what happened? SuperStreetKombat (talk) 01:06, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This wiki, while indeed a bit...colourful, was not closed by Stewards. Any closure decision would have been done locally. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 01:14, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! I’m a former Wage’s Sus admin and friend of Wage and can explain this. The admins decided, including me, to move the wiki to another website and decided on FriendPlanet. Wage closed the wiki recently. Message Wage or try to contact him somewhere else if you want the link to the FriendPlanet site, or message me on MH or Discord (ChessPiece21#6711). Why is the Rotten Websites Wiki closed all of a sudden?[edit | edit source]

The heading says that it's been closed because no one's edited the wiki in the last 60 days, but I am certain that there were edits as recent as yesterday.

Unless this is because of the wiki exceeding some kind of boundary that warranted shutting it down, I'm very confused here. NoJustNo84 (talk) 06:22, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@NoJustNo84: That's the standard message you get when a bureaucrat manually closes a wiki. It seems that the local admins decided to close the wiki, you'll need to talk to them for more info. Agent Isai Talk to me! 06:39, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Agent Isai:Same Issue with its sister site on the Fresh Websites wiki, I don't know the recall the exact usernames of the local admins so I wouldn't be able to contact them elsewhere, this might be an issue with all of the new Reception wikis, could you find out what is going on there, thank you. Freighttrain (talk) 07:56, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Freighttrain:I asked DarkMatterMan4500 on Discord if he could help clarify this. Hope to hear from him soon. Agent Isai Talk to me! 07:59, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind I've just messaged MarioMario456 about it. Freighttrain (talk) 07:58, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The admins didn't like how the content worked. One of them anyways, with others simply following along. If the Character wikis are any indication, it is next to useless to discuss it unless they show a change of heart. --Raidarr (talk) 12:35, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That all sounds a bit arbitrary, also no prior notice was given either, is there any discussion you can link to that says more about what has happened? Freighttrain (talk) 13:18, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, there was no consensus on whether to close them at all. It was abruptly closed without reason. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 15:57, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No discussion was had, the details came out live - including the latest regarding the admin who instigated it. Other admins are not agreeing to the closure. --Raidarr (talk) 16:37, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
NoJustNo84 As per my comments elsewhere, please note I have reopened each of the two wikis. Additionally, as I could find no indication where a community discussion was had locally on each wiki to modify the default bureaucrat permissions to allow local bureaucrats to remove the bureaucrat bit from other bureaucrats, I have reset that to the default setting. This will ensure that local bureaucrats must either request a Steward to ensure any request for removal of this group is done in line with any community-established policies governing such removals or have a local discussion to duly delegate this authority to local bureaucrats, though on the point about the local permissions additions and removals, I noted a lack of any sort community-established process in this regard. Additionally, given the obvious lack of local community consultation with regard to the closure and the lack of any community-established process governing permissions additions or removals (looking at the respective Special:Log/rights logs on each wikis), it seems to have been done very ad hoc, often with wheel-warring occurring over rights additions and removals, which itself suggests a complete lack of community consultation, I don't feel it is appropriate for Stewards to restore any permissions. In any case, the most important role for Stewards has been done here, which is to reopen both wikis to allow one or more substantive community discussions to occur on the respective wikis discussing (a) the future of the wikis and, if the wikis are to continue to remain open, to discussing (b) the process by which the advanced permissions are granted or removed. Once those community consultative processes have concluded, please post a note here, ideally in a new thread and linking to this thread in some way, for Stewards to assess those local consensus processes and effect the community's desired outcomes. Thank you. Dmehus (talk) 05:10, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Two wikis in our network got shutdown without any consensus.[edit | edit source]

So Rotten Websites Wiki and Fresh Websites Wiki got closed by one of our bureaucrats, claiming that "a lot of people wanted these wikis gone". However, there is no evidence of any sort of agreement or consensus among the other admins or the community about this decision. All the other bureaucrats got demoted from those wikis, so is it okay if one of you guys can give me bureaucrat and admin rights on those two wikis (I was a former bureaucrat on those wikis BTW) so I can undo the closing and demotions? Blazikeye535 (talk) 15:48, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I definitely didn't agree to the closure of both of those wikis. There's some funny business going around here. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 16:11, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This was done by a rogue admin who is being handled on other associated wikis as a preventative measure; on this wiki all other staff were apparently demoted including DMM ^. This issue needs to be investigated. It was done with zero support from the community, but more importantly it overruled other admins and bureaucrats, including the designated leaders. Thus it was a coup, and I believe fully in scope for the Stewards to interfere (I'd hope, at least). --Raidarr (talk) 16:33, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I was demoted too. I'll see what Doug and Void have to say about this, considering this close was against community consensus. MarioMario456 16:45, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I also got demoted too, but I want my page back (all of the source code) and my files. - AlvaroNovaes-BR (talk) 18:55, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
So did I. BookFandumb1 (talk) 01:14, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This was wrong, especially since we have made a complete effort now to make a consensus. Sure, I wanted them gone too, but it came out of nowhere. At least when I wanted to close the character wikis, I wanted a discussion. TigerBlazer (talk) 21:05, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Literally nothing was wrong with the wikis. At least the character wikis somewhat had a reason, but the website wikis' closure were abrupt. DuchessTheSponge didn't even think about what other people thought, he just closed the wikis, like when he just removed Season 6 & 8 of SpongeBob SquarePants on Terrible Shows & Episodes Wiki, even though Season 6 and 8 were hated by many, just like he combined all seasons of the original Johnny Test onto Terrible Shows & Episodes Wiki, even though a lot of people considered the first three seasons to be good. I made a blog post about it, which didn't even bash him, and I got a two week block on TSEW. That's when I started to strongly dislike him. I'm glad he's demoted now. SleepParalysisDemon (talk) 21:20, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If there are no comments objecting to this, I will reopen both wikis by this time tomorrow. It is clear, by the messages currently left on this noticeboard, that the action taken was not and is not supported by the community or other administration of these wikis. -- Void Whispers 21:36, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Void That's awesome. Yeah, DuchessTheSponge clearly didn't think this through at all, but as long as the demotions are restored, that's all that matters. I doubt there will be any objections, but they'll more than likely be weaker in comparison to the upcoming votes to re-open the wikis. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 22:50, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Can we also place the character wikis up for adoption given the half a dozen users that have complained here and on the CN about their closure and given that the discussion was:
  1. Incredibly brief (less than a day)
  2. Done without a site notice for most of that day
  3. Done on a different wiki
I fully understand if the administrators wish to walk away from a wiki and want it disassociated from their other wikis. However, I don't think they should be able to dictate that what would be an entirely separate wiki on Miraheze should not exist especially given that the content policy has an explicit clause allowing for forks. ~ El Komodos Drago (talk to me) 19:34, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think this should be taken up in a dedicated topic on the Qualitipedia hub once this issue with the website wikis is straightened out (one at a time). From what I can tell the top shot callers are willing to have a conversation, and the linked wiki is in a better position than before to have the conversation instead of throwing yet another QP topic onto Miraheze meta. --Raidarr (talk) 19:46, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
FUCK! I GOT DEMOTED TOO! This is to the point I requested a wiki for PETA. It failed. I really want it back. jrStudios (talk) 21:55, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yeah, my rights on RWW were also gone. Didn't notice that untill right now. TigerBlazer (talk) 15:17, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Blazikeye535 Please see my comments in the above thread. The wikis have been reopened to allow local community discussions to take place on each wiki discussing (a) the future of the wikis and (b) the process by which community members may request advanced permissions, or have them removed. Dmehus (talk) 05:20, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like Doug has reopened the wikis before I've been able to get around to it. I have now followed up by restoring permissions, as this state was the previous status quo. -- Void Whispers 21:04, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Don't mean to sound impatient, but is there any updates on whether or not the wikis are going to be reopened or not? --Blazikeye535 (talk) 17:26, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand. Two wikis should be opened by yesterday but didn't happen, so are they really gonna be opened by either today, tomorrow, or so? Btw I already got plenty of more evidence/reasons coming up to expose People for "Ethical" Treatment of Animals for its article at Rotten Websites Wiki. request of a mass purge of every single edit made by me[edit | edit source]

Hi, I'm the owner of the EijiZeBoi and TanjirosEarrings accounts. I'm making this thread to request the mass purging of all content I made using these accounts, from blog posts to talk pages, etc., especially on the Qualitipedia wikis. The reason is because I don't want my name to be associated with this wikifarm anymore due to its godawful reputation among outsiders. Thank you. EijiZeBoi (talk) 06:56, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Unfortunately, this can't be done for the simple reason that we don't have any proof that you are indeed these two accounts. If we allowed such a request then anyone could claim they are X user and demand the same thing. As regards to the farm's reputation, Miraheze is not responsible for the content that the Reception wikis create so if people see Miraheze negatively because of them that is not correct. Reception123 (talk) (C) 07:07, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Reception123 Eiji reached out to me on Discord earlier this morning, so I honored his request just like how I honored Grust's request last week to block him for dignity and as a self-request. Can you delete the NSFW and NSFL templates?[edit | edit source]

I think these need to be removed from the Reception Wikis because the page don't show any pornographic content, the templates clutter the pages, they get added to the pages for no reason, and they often cause other users to engage in edit wars, so I think it's time both of the pages were deleted from the Reception Wikis. Can you leave a link to that? SuperStreetKombat (talk) 20:23, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
QP Meta. I confirm and concur that this subject has no place on the Stewards' noticeboard, and has nothing to do with global admins. I'm baffled why two local admins from the QP wikis would think otherwise. --Raidarr (talk) 20:25, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Technically, I thought these templates would apply with all wikis; not just Qualitipedia. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 20:44, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No, QP has those templates of its own accord. It is up to each wiki to decide how it wants to handle the content, within reason and Content policy. --Raidarr (talk) 22:26, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm in 100% agreement with Raidarr here. Meta Miraheze follows its own set of rules. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 10:35, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

delete "hurticulture" wiki[edit | edit source]

I've been hanging onto the Hurticulture Wiki for a while but I realize I can't dedicate enough time to use it effectively. I'd rather it not be put up for adoption because this wiki was made with my own OCs, worldbuilding, and creative ideas in mind - not a single other person would be fit to contribute to the wiki. Hurticulturist (talk) 22:47, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please globally block Harry2003[edit | edit source]

He's been causing a lot of trouble on the Reception Wikis, such as spamming comments and topics, vandalizing pages, as well as sending death threats to another user on Best TV Shows Wiki, all of which got him blocked on a few Reception Wikis, including the games ones. He even promised not to do any of those things again, but broke his promise not to spam comments, and now he's pretty much crossed the line by writing off-topic comments and topics on a wiki that has nothing to do with the other. Plus, he's been blocked too many times and I even warned him not to cause anymore trouble ever again, but is still doing so, so his time on Qualitipedia is up. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 23:02, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Death threats and the like would go right into code of conduct violations, thus in my opinion warrant the global action. --Raidarr (talk) 23:18, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. He has been bothering us for many months now and he should be globaled. He made himself unwelcome and crossed the line over and over again. TigerBlazer (talk) 15:42, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Should we block him from the wikis where he isn't blocked for the time being, or can we not do that? —Marxo Grouch (talk) 18:49, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That would certainly be the right of local admins if there's a solid case. --Raidarr (talk) 19:36, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think I'll do that right away. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 20:30, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, you should just global Harry, because I can't seem to block him on the Books Wikis or the Music Wikis. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 20:03, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Or can he not be globalled? SuperStreetKombat (talk) 00:43, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

SpiderManDude, it is not good to ask admins to give them money to get unblocked. I wouldn't comment on what MarioMario456 said but you were probably blocked because of sockpuppetry. If you are not a sockpuppet and you believe the block was made in error, then simply call on for a review of your block without talking about money. Giving/taking money is not the way we operate here. --Mazzaz (talk) 04:42, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
SpiderManDude While MarioMario456 has been cautioned in the past to adhere to both the letter and spirit of Code of Conduct, a global policy to which all Miraheze users are obliged to follow in terms of his approach to dealing with other users (namely, civility and assuming good faith), and he is indeed firmly cautioned again, I will remind you that you also are obliged to follow another global policy, user accounts policy. If you wish to engage on Miraheze, I would strongly suggest you e-mail stewards at stewards(at), explain on what wiki(s) you intend to focus on (with a strong recommendation from me to avoid the type of wikis you've been gravitating toward and which has found you locked more times than I can count on my two hands and two feet), and whether you will focus on your own wiki. Continuing the same behaviour is neither constructive nor useful and wastes everyone's time. Accordingly, with that, your remaining accounts will be Yes check.svg locked in due course. User blocked at ATT for attempted SQL injection[edit | edit source]

User:Gani has just been permanently blocked at All The Tropes for (unsuccessfully) attempting to add SQL that would collect personally-identifying information without notification, which if it had worked would have been a violation of GDPR. This was the first edit that this user submitted to All The Tropes, so it was caught in the Moderation queue before being committed.

We see from CentralAuth that this user is an admin at two other Miraheze wikis. Robkelk (talk) 12:36, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will look into it. Reception123 (talk) (C) 17:48, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I just had the contents of the query passed to me by T&S and it is simply VoteNY's schema. The chance of an SQLi working is extremely low but in no way did this at any point attempt to violate GDPR or put users privacy at risk. Data wouldn't have been populated without enabling VoteNY and it's known and documented that it collects this information which we store appropiately. RhinosF1 (Miraheze) (talk) 18:11, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I've relayed this to the bureaucrats at ATT, and we'll discuss what action to take next. --Robkelk (talk) 19:20, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The bureaucrats and a few others have discussed this, and we have decided to treat this as an apparent penetration test. The permanent block on this user stands. --Robkelk (talk) 13:10, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A user called Greatestmoviesfan might be abusing multiple accounts.[edit | edit source]

A user on Awful Movies Wiki known as Greatestmoviesfan has another account called Greatestmoviesfan189 which has the same type of behavior and comments as his main account: and because of this, I think Greatestmoviesfan created that account to evade his ban, which is obviously against Miraheze's rules, so I think he should blocked across all wikis. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 18:54, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. Greatestmoviesfan wasn't trying to ban evade, so he's innocent. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 19:16, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That type of title with a demanding tone isn't going to really help matters very much. Which wikis are you talking about? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 22:41, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Qqqqqqqq was talking about the character wikis (Incredible Characters Wiki and Loathsome Characters Wiki). Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 00:35, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah Please reopen it Andrewgtv05 (talk) 04:31, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Andrewgtv05: Although I've seen requests like these many times, I'd like to see where this goes. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 10:39, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
DarkMatterMan4500, as far as I can tell, DuchessTheSponge closed down the character wikis almost a month ago, and at first, we agreed that closing the character wikis was a good idea. But then, we realized what we had done, and thus decided to talk about bringing back the character wikis. Then, many people started to agree with us. Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 11:48, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I was there when it happened when it came to voting. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 12:32, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, you were. And now that many people are voting and asking for the character wikis to come back, it looks like the character wikis are going to be reopened by the stewards. But here's the thing I want to tell you: Once they reopen, they will no longer be associated with Qualitipedia. Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 12:40, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Shawn the Logo Boy: Why will they not be associated with Qualitipedia? Blubabluba9990 (talk) 19:28, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The reason they will no longer be associated with Quailtipedia is because there will be no Qualitipedia admins, and instead, there will be a new team of admins running the wikis, which includes me, Shawn the Logo Boy. The wikis will still hold the same concept as the Qualitipedia Wikis, however. Oh, and nice to meet you, Blubabluba9990. Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 19:41, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Can I be one of the admins too. I plan on creating another network of wikis, since I own Lousy Vehicles Wiki and co-own Lovable Vehicles Wiki, and I also have plans for reception wikis about stores, and Musicismylife has a bunch of other ideas for reception wikis. Both wikis do not have any Qualitipedia admins. I also own Absurd Shows & Episodes Wiki, a future part of The Weirdness Network, a network of wikis about weird media which has been temporarily put on hold due to my situation on Qualitipedia. I own two other wikis, The Wow House Wiki and The Fowl House Wiki, which discuss good episodes/characters and bad episodes/characters in The Loud House, respectively. Both of those wikis are independent, based on FANDOM versions (The Fowl House Wiki's FANDOM counterpart is closed), and do not follow the format of the Reception Wikis, instead being inspired by ScumBob Wiki and Anti-ScumBob Wiki. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 20:02, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sure thing, Blubabluba9990! You can be an admin of the character wikis (LCW and ICW), and I'm sure you can help us out with both wikis. Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 20:39, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
But here's the catch: I will only unblock you on the character wikis, and if you screw up even once, I will revoke your admin rights. Got it, Bluba? Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 16:24, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Wait are you an admin now? Blubabluba9990 (talk) 17:08, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I am becoming an admin on both Loathsome Characters Wiki and Incredible Characters Wiki, and both you and I be part of the new team of the admins, so once they reopen, we need to cooperate with each other in order to keep both wikis running! Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 17:17, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Have you visited my other wikis yet. If you have knowledge about automobile reception I can promote you on the vehicle reception wikis. Musicismylife also has a few other ideas for future reception wikis not associated with Qualitipedia. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 17:27, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't visited your other wikis yet, and I really don't have knowledge about automoblie reception. Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 17:55, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I do have other ideas about reception wikis. Perhaps my wikis can stay independent alongside the characters wikis. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 18:00, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sure. Your wikis can stay independent alongside the character wikis. Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 18:41, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Also why specifically did you not want the characters wikis to be associated with Qualitipedia? Blubabluba9990 (talk) 20:03, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
These wikis were agreed to not remain part of QP so they could exist in some form, even if the dedicated QP administrators do not want to manage them. So, making them unassociated is the way they are able to survive. --Raidarr (talk) 10:45, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 20:07, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, shouldn't the stewards have noticed this by now. Kingjorbs (talk) 22:00, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The vote was improper, being called after less than a half dozen comments and before the (clearly numerous) oppositions or input were able to be made. So this is for sure in the cards, now that the Website wiki crisis is handled. --Raidarr (talk) Raidarr (talk) 16:44, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I hope we'll do the same for the Character Wikis crisis, which we need to handle. Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 16:47, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 19:29, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm of two minds here. From my first mind, I'm not seeing where there was a discussion, ideally on-wiki though a public non-invitation only Discord server (or similar) discussion could be considered. Raidarr mentions that there was a vote or discussion somewhere, so if he could point me to that so I can assess its breadth, depth, and procedural validity, that'd be great. From my second mind, these two wikis in particular cause the most problems for Stewards in terms of Content Policy and user conduct issues. As a rebuttal to my second mind, there does seem to have been a clear surrendering of rights, so reopening these wikis would provide an opportunity to have a proper discussion in terms of providing guidance to the reconstituted wikis' local communities. Additionally, a subsequent discussion would need to be held prior to any rights being granted. In any case, until I know when, where, and under what circumstances local discussions (if any) were held, this can't be progressed. Dmehus (talk) 22:12, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Here is the discussion. Other discussions: [1] [2]. Mr. Jay 641 (talk) 22:31, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
In addition to above, there was a blog that was the spark for the character wiki's removal. It was unfortunately removed to leave no record, but I doubt that will stop the oversight of a Steward. Section "Can you please reopen 2 wikis?" below on the board offers as much case for recent discussion as there exists (mainly the same that I replied to). QP tends to operate through blog posts seeking inquiry, meaning there tend to be multiple blogs on a similar topic and a touch of confusion as far as aggregate opinion (especially since the discussions could not be held on the native wiki in question, instead in small part through CGW and through the QP meta linked above). --Raidarr (talk) 00:37, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Raidarr, for that, and, Mr. Jay 641, for the links you provided. What I'm particularly interested in is any discussion(s) as may exist on Qualitipedia Meta in terms of rationale for closure and breadth and depth of the discussion. Dmehus (talk) 01:04, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Aside from the assorted blogs (which is typically 'how things are done' with the strengths and weaknesses that come with it) there is not an organized discussion (talk page, StructuredDiscussions) to this effect, only the layered responses that lead to new blogs and culminating in a few users agreeing to lead and largely being given 'consent by default' from leading bureaucrats on QP. So the depth is about what is linked.
It was only closed by a few supports and the instinct decision of a bureaucrat after reviewing the (now deleted) original post, and incidental 'wait this isn't right' commentary has cropped up various times on CGW and QP meta ever since. The most substantive of these comments are linked by blog. There do exist assorted individual complaints that were raised in the meantime, by comments and I vaguely recall by very short lived SD posts. It's also worth noting that immediately after the closure, a number of regulars attempted to 'snowball' the issue with the effect of 'they were terrible anyways', likely in an effort to simply drop it and move on. Some of those users have since changed tune for the above linked blogs or otherwise let it go.
Perhaps to establish clarity for the future, issues of this gravity might be given a separate structure to vote and leave opinions (resembling how MH meta handles it or operating through the SD extension) if that would be more structurally compliant for what you're looking for. --Raidarr (talk) 08:22, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. This now brings up the larger problem of the non-existent consensus on Qualitipedia, with the bureaucrats making all of the decisions, and even when consensus is brought up, it is done by one of the bureaucrats rather than a regular member of the community. That is a whole other problem, however, and goes deeper than the Characters Wikis crisis. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 16:04, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If that's being done on the Qualitipedia wikis, we have all the policies and conventions we need here. It just needs to be addressed to Stewards, citing applicable evidence, and we can be asked to determine if there was consensus or revert to the status quo in absence of that. Dmehus (talk) 16:09, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. There is hardly ever consensus for anything though, and I am unsure if there was consensus to shut down the Characters wikis. Furthermore, the admins agreed that closing both wikis was a bad decision, and there is a lot of talk here on Steward's noticeboard about re-opening them. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 16:14, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This discussion and the ones mentioned cite various talk and qp meta discussion to reopen, and the rationale for closure is already noted as being faulty. --Raidarr (talk) 18:11, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 19:46, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you are a member of the wiki and it was not manually closed by a wiki bureaucrat, you may add an entry at Requests for adoption. Otherwise unless there is additional context I'm afraid there is nothing that can be done on the Stewards' noticeboard. If the two stipulations don't apply (either of them), I'm afraid there is also not much we can do. --Raidarr (talk) 16:37, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please reopen 2 wikis?[edit | edit source]

Hey, so Loathsome Characters Wiki and Great Characters Wiki have been closed, and we actually have a discussion on reopening them, and everyone seemed to agree, and nobody objected to this, and several admins like MarioMario456, Blazikeye, and DarkMatterMan4500, admitted this was a dumb idea and supported this decision, as seen in here, and here. Also, TigerBlazer, the one who made the decision to close them down, actually regretted it, and stated that "he felt like an asshole for making that blog". Also, the vote was improper as there were less than a dozen votes, and before the (clearly numerous) oppositions or input were able to be made. Also can you give me, TheAnimeLover, Shawn The Logo Boy, and Mr. Jay 641 administrator rights per TigerBlazer suggestions as seen in the same discussion.Kingjorbs (talk) 21:00, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I regret wanting them closed. I thought that would be the best decision when disassociating them from QP would have been better. Genuine regret here. TigerBlazer (talk) 22:49, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes! We should reopen the two wikis! I loved those wikis. DoubleD346 (talk) 03:42, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should reopen them, but we should turn it into a wiki about characters with bad personalities instead of ones that got bad reception since basing them on reception doesn't really make sense. Musicismylife (talk) 08:02, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Musicismylife: Wait, what do you mean, "basing them on reception doesn't make sense"? There is character reception. You can find tier lists online for characters from different shows.
And @Shawn the Logo Boy:, please don't do that. Base them on reception. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 16:10, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that, Bluba. I should base them on reception after all. And @Musicismylife:, I have to agree with what Bluba said: There is character reception. You can find tier lists online for characters from different shows. So I would suggest basing them on reception, not personality. Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 17:11, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Blubabluba9990 (talk) 19:47, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, but I think some should be based on personality as well. Characters who have bad personalities also deserve a spot on the wiki. Musicismylife (talk) 21:22, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's absolutely a discussion suitable for an appropriate talk page on the wiki if it is reopened. Raidarr, can you point me to some sort of discussion, whether locally or on Qualitipedia Meta, to shut down the wiki (if such exists)? I'm reluctant to reopen the wiki until I've seen that. You've pointed me to existing discussions calling for it to be reopened and have indicated there was some discussion, somewhere, to shut it down, but suggested that discussion was procedurally flawed. That is what I've yet to see. Dmehus (talk) 21:36, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, @Dmehus:, I'll point it out. Shortly after the character wikis closed @TigerBlazer: wrote a discussion about the closure of the character wikis, "Why I Think The Character Wikis Should Be Deleted". However, he soon regretted this and deleted the blog. Later, he made a discussion about the character wikis and what we should do to keep them alive: Kingjorbs suggested that the character wikis stay on Miraheze. Then, I came up with this idea: reopen the character wikis, but delete any opinionated pages (Mr. Krabs., Cheese from FHFIF, Boa Hancock, etc.) Two days later, Kingjorbs told the stewards to reopen the character wikis, and have himself, TheAnimeLover, myself, and Mr. Jay 641 be admins of those wikis. Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 23:03, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Shawn has provided an abridged background. As far as the direct catalyst for wiki closure, I believe you actually looked at it (via undelete and redelete of the linked blog post). The action was taken exactly at the time of Duchess's first reply in that blog after a couple of supporting replies before. There was really no more than that to establish closure, and iirc it was all done within the same day. --Raidarr (talk) 23:24, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Raidarr and Shawn the Logo Boy. Indeed, I did look at the deleted blog post by TigerBlazer and the page in question. Both point to allowing these wikis to be reopened. I was mainly concerned with whether there was a discussion to close them or split them off from the Qualitipedia wikis. It seems that's not the case, so I'll reopen them, and initiate a discussion locally for those to participate in. Dmehus (talk) 23:31, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, Dmehus. Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 23:34, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, I'm marking some stuff on Loathsome Character Wiki as candidates for deletion. Shawn the Logo Boy (talk) 23:38, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I'll check those candidates for deletion in a few days and delete them if no one objects (i.e., reverts your tagging), in absence of local administration. Dmehus (talk) 00:05, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Globally lock this user.[edit | edit source]

A user sent me a message that threatens to rape me just for removing an NSFL template from a page, and he should be banned from this site for threatening to assault me. Here's the message for proof: SuperStreetKombat (talk) 21:56, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, he apologized. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 00:42, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Is it really impossible to global this user? Has he really won? SuperStreetKombat (talk) 19:49, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't feel as any action here is necessary. People say things they don't mean or intend to carry out in the heat of passionate arguments. You said yourself they apologized. Remind them of Code of Conduct and move forward. Dmehus (talk) 19:58, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well, he did apologize, but then falsely accused me of breaking the wiki's rules, and said that I'm no better than he is, even though what he said to me is way worse than what I did. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 21:57, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nonetheless, assume good faith, advise them of Code of Conduct, and move forward. Closing as X mark.svg no action needed. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 22:05, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I doubt I can get through to this user, but I'll try. If I can't, then I'll just have to keep him indefinitely blocked. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 22:08, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe so, but -abigblueworld- has used usernames that don't align with what you just listed (such as this one) so there's no telling if this will actually work. Plus they might catch on and begin using variety in their usernames. Though I could be wrong. We'll see. —Marxo Grouch (talk) 15:22, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As written, I'm inclined to say this would be too broad and have too much potential for false positives for many of those. Besides, they'll invariably just move on to adopting new verbiage. One could argue swiftly locking and blocking them, not providing a custom lock reason as they want, is the better course of action. Otherwise, they may pause and dramatically shift tactics, in which case we'll have to wait for a new behavioural pattern to form. Dmehus (talk) 16:22, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please keep this wiki active[edit | edit source]

Can this wiki be exempted from the 2-month inactivity rule?

Mahmoud Refaat Wiki is a work site for the European Institute for International Law and International Relations (EIIR). EIIR people won't always have time to update the wiki every 2 months, but nevertheless it has some online books that shouldn't be taken offline, since this wiki is designed to be like Wikibooks or Wikisource. I need to reclaim Chromeball wiki back to the original staff[edit | edit source]

This wiki is inactive, the admin and bureaucrat called "ThatDudeRightHere" have abandoned it, hasn't made a single edit, and doesn't give the former Chromeball wiki staff their right. I together with a user called "IndividualistMax" (he used to be in the original staff) are the only 2 editors there. I'm unable to contact with ThatDudeRightHere since I can't find his Discord and Fandom account. I need the Miraheze Stewards to demote ThatDudeRightHere so I and Max can reclaim this wiki and complete my revamp plan. I also contacted all the old users of the former Chromeball wiki on Fandom (It was closed by Fandom). I believe this is a fresh start for a wiki that has the potential to surpass its old Fandom-version. PercyUK also said that the wiki needs a bureaucrat with access to enable services, and he recommended applying for adoption and explaining the need for rights. Here is what PercyUK told me:
 SchizoACC (talk) 05:00, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So, all I can suggest is you hold a local election on chromeballwiki, following my guidelines on the linked page and after about 5-7 calendar days, you would return to this thread and request a Steward assess your election in absence of the local bureaucrat, or request a different Chromeball Wiki on a different subdomain, defining a clear purpose, scope and topic for your wiki. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 05:09, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SchizoACC: I was informed that ThatDudeRightHere's Discord is ThatDudeRightHere#4066. He is also active on the Polandball Wiki. Try asking him there. Thanks! Agent Isai Talk to me! 05:32, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've been disenfranchised by the edit filter.[edit | edit source]

When I tested the edit filter on my wiki, it was triggered and all my permissions were taken.

There is no bureaucrat on this wiki except me, and I can't manage it.

Can you please grant me a bureaucrat on that wiki? koyomiya5438 07:31, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I can't manage this wiki. Please deal with it as soon as possible.--koyomiya5438 11:20, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Could you global my account[edit | edit source]

I've had enough of this shit. After various warnings of violations of non-existent rules by Miraheze T&S, I've lost all faith on being on Miraheze. MarioMario456 12:32, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In case I want to come back my public contact email is realmariomario456(at)gmail(dot)com. MarioMario456 12:37, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
And also, if a steward is reading, I would want you to delete or close the wikis that I founded. MarioMario456 12:39, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Whoa whoa whoa, hold on there. What if I wanted to take care of the wikis you founded? I'd like to take care of them, and I'm terribly sorry to see you go. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 12:41, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, then this is withdrawn temporarily. Stuff is done. Now you can safely global my account. MarioMario456 12:46, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Just because you don't know or prefer to ignore the rules does not mean they are non existent. Also, founding a wiki and it having a community or fellow bureaucrats does not mean it can be arbitrarily closed, even by its founder, if the story with Duchess was any clue. --Raidarr (talk) 13:24, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to merge this account with my alt Phonicfriends103 please. Mostly because I forgot my password. Milcery229 (talk) 05:03, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, if you don't have access to the Phonicfriends103 it won't be possible as we have no way to prove that you are in fact Phonicfriends103. Can you please shutdown Real Life Villains Wiki?[edit | edit source]

There is a wiki called Real Life Villains Wiki that was supposed to list the most evil people ever. However, it turns out that it is yet another user reception wiki (see its main page for more) and it has a lot of content that violates CoC (I shouldn't give examples of this, since I already provided links for you to review the wiki). Galaxy Star (ch@t) 07:13, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

First off, how is it a user reception wiki? And second, where's your proof? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 09:29, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
As DarkMatterMan4500 says above, please do provide examples of CoC violations and Content Policy violations here as it's easier than having Stewards having to go through every single page until they find them. Reception123 (talk) (C) 09:31, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Going through the Special:AllPages on the Real Life Villains Wiki, I'm not seeing any examples of articles on users as Galaxy Star is claiming at all. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 09:44, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If anything from the front page link offs, it is against explicitly violating material and pages of miraheze users, though I concur that it can certainly run the risk regarding wider internet personalities and people. Raidarr (talk) 12:28, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

DarkMatterMan4500 needs to be warned or banned from Miraheze for his disruptive behavior and for impersonating as a steward[edit | edit source]

DarkMatterMan4500 has been falsely accusing users of being a "WG8686 Sockpuppet" without any valid proof, as he accuses them over opinions. Like for liking " Pokemon, WWE, The Sims, and Grand Theft Auto"

And on top of that, he has been making disruptive edits on the reception wikis by using inappropriate language by telling them or "Fuck Off" or being rude in edit summaries like these examples. 1. 2. 3. 4.

He has also impersonated as a Steward to people on the wikis, which is not allowed on Miraheze. 1.

Can you guys give this guy a warning or temp ban him for a couple days, he needs to learn a lesson. CrusherTheDragon (talk) 00:14, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

None of the above seems to indicate any problems from DMM's side. If anything the above copy/paste is just evidence of more LTA by someone very determined to make it difficult for us to stop them from abusing multiple accounts. Please do us all a favor and stop 8) PS: Locked for abuse of multiple accounts. -- Cheers, NDKilla ( TalkContribs ) 01:05, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Don't listen to this user, NDKilla; he's just another sock account of WillG. SuperStreetKombat (talk) 05:05, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
SuperStreetKombat In case you're not aware, he was already made aware of it because I sent him a message last night, with the diffs of his previous socks saying something similar to CrusherTheDragon, and has already locked the account for "LTA" (Long-term abuse), and wasting everyone's time. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 09:16, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

CheckUser request on 2 users:[edit | edit source]

I am requesting a Checkuser on these 2 accounts because a few admins have suspected that Mictrons and Stroke bench are the same person, given that Mictrons was blocked based on some of his comments on Awful Movies Wiki and share the same grammar as Stroke bench like these examples here. Given that Stroke bench also asked people to support zoophiles, and watch how he admits to sockpuppetry in this here sentence here (given that it was removed to cover it up, but still a crucial mistake). That comment where he admits to sockpuppetry definitely tells me that it's likely Mictrons, especially since he also made this comment, still mentioning the suspected master. Given that both of them were created on exactly the same day, with both accounts being created exactly 9 hours and 38 minutes apart from each other and both of them registering on the Terrible Shows & Episodes Wiki, I'm pretty confident that they are both the same person. And for Stroke bench being created, they have also picked up where Mictrons left off on from this part right hereDarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 19:48, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

For the confession, the comment you will want to see is the one with the time stamp "22:43, 29 August 2021" at this link. Marxo Grouch (talk) 13:44, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Marxo Grouch Thanks for adding additional specifics that the Stewards should look for. I'm sure they'll look into it sooner or later. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 13:48, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An admin kicked me off my own wiki and closed it. Can you guys reopen it and give me my bureaucrat permissions back?[edit | edit source]

I found out that an admin decided to demote me from my own wiki and close it without my permission. I made a post about it but it just got ignored so I'm hoping that this one doesn't get ignored before the wiki closes. It didn't break any guidelines as it didn't bully anyone so can you guys reopen it and give me my bureaucrat permissions back because I never allowed said admin to demote me and close the wiki and because the admin demoted me before closing the wiki, there's nothing I can do other than ask. Pacsonic9000 (talk) 02:15, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't you already make a request similar to this a couple days ago? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 15:50, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
yep i do see a request here on the 10th, i would recommend waiting for a steward to reply, duplicating the same issue multiple times will not speed up a reply from a steward also keep in mind stewards have can take 1-2 weeks to reply perhaps longer if no reply by then you can leave them a message on their wall. Can’t make account[edit | edit source]

I’ve been trying to make an account yet for some reason it says captcha error. However, I don’t see CAPTCHA. 2600:1001:B01C:729C:8564:1897:2891:255F 18:53, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest the following: trying a different browser, trying a different connection (ie if you're on desktop, perhaps try mobile), clearing cache if you know how, and/or temporarily disabling blockers that may be interfering such as ublock or noscript. If this issue persists, I suggest sending a message to along with your desired username, so worst case scenario they may be able to create an account in your stead. The captcha service itself may be an issue, but these steps in the meantime may do the job. --Raidarr (talk) 14:44, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Captcha Error[edit | edit source]

After they changed the CAPTCHA, there have been a lot of bugs when creating accounts. First, when you create an account, it takes ten minutes and goes to the website! The second is that it simply does not create, and a message appears in a red box: CAPTCHA verification failed due to internal error: ReCaptcha validation failed. Please contact if in error.

The other is that it takes a long time to load.

I kindly hope you guys come back with the old CAPTCHA, this new CAPTCHA is just TERRIBLE.
