If you are looking to make a report regarding a specific user, in addition to being required to provide a thorough and complete report, you should also know that reports by anonymous or logged out users are not taken very seriously for a couple reasons, namely that:

  1. We cannot ascertain who is making the report; and,
  2. Western liberal democracies enshrine in a citizen's fundamental, constitutionally-enshrined legal rights the right to know and face one's accuser, and Miraheze is no different.

Accordingly, please kindly login. If you are unable to login, please e-mail tech at miraheze.org with your username and the specific error message you are receiving, and they will assist you, or direct you to other global functionaries where appropriate.

Stewards' noticeboard
This noticeboard is only requests that require Stewards', or, in a limited number of circumstances, Global Sysops', intervention. If in doubt, please try community noticeboard first, and you will be directed here if the matter requires a Steward

On Stewards' noticeboard (this page), you can:

  • Request a steward or Global Sysop to lock a spam only or vandalism only account. Note that for vandalism only accounts, the vandalism must meet the global standard definition for vandalism and to be a vandalism only account, there must be no or almost no constructive editing behaviour and, additionally, this behaviour should be occurring on multiple wikis
  • Report a Username Policy violation (whether in good-faith or bad faith)
  • Report a user suspected of abusing multiple accounts per user accounts policy. You must link to specific revisions from both the suspected master and illegitimate alternate account(s)
  • Request additional permissions on your wiki(s) that can only be granted by a steward, such as local interwiki administrator
  • Request a page requiring the bigdelete user right (more than 1,000 revisions) be deleted on your wiki
  • Request a Dormancy Policy exemption for your wiki
  • Report systemic Code of Conduct problems occurring by one or more user(s) on one or more wiki(s) and/or systemic Content Policy violations on one or more wiki(s). In either case, your report must link to specific revisions and, in the latter case, your report must be both thorough and comprehensive

Requesting bureaucrat rights removal of DuchessTheSponge[edit | edit source]

Hello, per his statement of disinterest in continuing to participate as an admin/bureaucrat on the fanfiction.miraheze wiki; after I adopted it due to inactivity; could you please remove DuchessTheSponge's bureaucrat rights there, thank you. Freighttrain (talk) 17:10, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

@Freighttrain: I am monitoring this request, and will relist it as required, to prevent it from being archived. A steward should get to it eventually. As a procedural matter, the steward will likely remove the bureaucrat flag on Meta with Special:UserRights/DuchessTheSponge@fanfictionwiki. It won't show in your wiki's user rights log, but will show on Meta's user rights log. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 17:25, 17 October 2020 (UTC)

Have our wikis been closed?[edit | edit source]

Greetings, I noticed that multiple wikis like Crappy Games Wiki were closed. However I noticed there was no ManageWiki log. Was this a glitch or were they closed without a warning? Paprika (talk) 12:22, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

@Paprika: I told the Miraheze staff about the same issues. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 12:39, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
One of our wikis have now been re-opened. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:11, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Me too :(. Wiki like 자유반달위키 was blocked from editing and creating documents. ;( --거미몬 (talk) 12:35, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
I don’t know what happened. Jah99 (talk) 12:42, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Can you at least keep some of the wikis open such as Best TV Shows Wiki/Terrible TV Shows Wiki, Greatest Movies Wiki/Awful Movies Wiki, Awesome Games Wiki/Crappy Games Wiki? I’ll miss these wikis if you do close them down. (User:Jah99) 6:38, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
@Trevor807, Tuononnosedutoincarriola, LandonG, SharpnessKnight, DoubleD346, Lily-irl, 거미몬, Lily, and Jah99: Hi, your wiki has probably closed because we actually have a bug with something who close wiki with activity (Phab ticket: #T6403). I will left a message to sysadmin for look about this
PS: Will cleanup all around for centralize discussion, thanks HeartsDo (Talk || Global || Wiki Creator) 12:49, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
@HeartsDo: Thank you for clearing it all up. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 12:51, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Will you reopen them? Jah99 (talk) 13:11, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
They may need time to look into the bug before reopening to prevent it from happening again. Paprika (talk) 13:14, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
I noticed the same issue as well. Being a bureaucrat on Different History Wiki and the Larry Wiki, I unchecked the Delete box on Special:ManageWiki. Also, thanks. Trevor807 (talk) 12:59, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
I think @DeciduousWater534: can easily fix these issues as well. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 13:06, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
To @Geoshea, ChuckFan Media and GoYT, unfortunately Ficreation was closed, so I missed the wikis if you have to close down the site and I understand that I will do a good job at creating fanmade material. Duc4Wikmedia (talk) 13:16, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
@Duc4Wikmedia: It's actually due to a glitch. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 13:17, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
@Duc4Wikmedia I unticked the closed button on managewiki, so there's no need to cry, duc. kbos (talk) 13:51, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── We are aware of wikis still being closed in error. We are still in the process of investigating, and then working on a solution. In the mean time, go to Special:ManageWiki and uncheck the closed box, however, if you are unable to do, then contact a system administrator. Zppix (Meta | Sysadmin | talk to me) 14:09, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi all! I've reopened the two wikis listed above. We think we've fixed the problem. Please let us know if you continue to have the issue. Paladox (talk) 14:09, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

Thank you so much @Paladox:. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:15, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
The Awful Movies Wiki, Best TV Shows Wiki, Terrible TV Shows Wiki, amongst the other mainline reception wikis need to be re-opened as well. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:22, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
All issues have been resolved by the sysops of our wikis. Thank you all for your patience. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 13:20, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

Import another wiki[edit | edit source]

I am the founder of Gyaanipedia https://en.gyaanipedia.co.in I also have a fandom site https://gyaanipedia.fandom.com which have 93k articles. Now I want to make a copy of this fandom wiki and want to import it to the Miraheze wiki. As we know that Special:Import/Export is very time consuming so is there any other way to do that? Please help me Shaunak Chakraborty (talk) 06:35, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

@Shaunak Chakraborty: 93,000 pages/articles is a lot, but should be doable, especially if there is not 93,000 images that need uploading as well. For these imports, though, this really will need you to go to Special:Statistics on your Fandom wiki, request a dump (as a bureaucrat), and then create a Phabricator task for system administrators as this is completely out of scope of stewards. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 14:00, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
Take a look at Moving a wiki to Miraheze. — revi 14:01, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

Please perform a CheckUser for these 2 accounts[edit | edit source]

Son Goto ThePackagingViewer

I have a reason to believe that those 2 accounts are related because the former confirmed his identity on a closed wiki, and while the latter confirmed it via a link to his YouTube channel.

The about page explains everything. And the link to his YouTube channel directly links him to the same person, and pretty much admits that it is a sock of Son Goto. Does this type of evidence seem good to you? Or does it require more? Feel free to let me know, and I will provide you with more if necessary. The former is inactive and while the latter has been locked recently. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:51, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: I'm personally not seeing a massive need here, nevermind the fact you've only linked to one edit diff. I would say it's honestly easier just to monitor this user's contributions across wikis, and if it becomes clear the account is engaging solely or largely in blatant vandalism, then it can be locked as such. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 14:56, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Okay, sounds good. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:58, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

Vandalism-only accounts acting like ruffians on Best TV Shows Wiki[edit | edit source]

Thomas The Tank Engine has been vandalizing multiple pages on the Best TV Shows Wiki. Here's proof: https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Thomas_The_Tank_Engine Also, there's another one who is doing the exact same thing: https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Kikoriki Please look at their edits and stop them. https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Inanimate_Insanity&oldid=54293 https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Kikoriki&oldid=54292 https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Esme_%26_Roy&oldid=54290 https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Robot_and_Monster&oldid=54288 https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=W%C5%82atcy_m%C3%B3ch&oldid=54287 https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Kikoriki&oldid=54286 https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Kikoriki&oldid=54283 https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Apple_%26_Onion&oldid=54280 I have a feeling that those 2 accounts are being used by the same user considering their disruptive edits. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:45, 22 November 2020 (UTC)

It's been handled locally and requires no further global intervention unless it becomes cross-wiki. As for the potential abuse of multiple accounts, Stewards can CU if they think that is necessary. Reception123 (talk) (C) 14:55, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
@Reception123: Alright. Guess I'll keep an eye on them in case they come back for more. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 15:04, 22 November 2020 (UTC)

Could someone perform a CheckUser on these accounts?[edit | edit source]

Spain's got toys on his lap Spain is the strangest place on Earth I have a reason to believe that these 2 accounts were being used abusively, and here's the proof that confirms my suspicions. His userpage should be good enough. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 15:43, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Oh, and one more thing: Before you guys do, I would like to remind you that the other account that was used has vandalized an article and replaced the content with some nonsense. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 15:53, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
Spain is the strangest place on Earth has been  locked by Reception123. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 16:03, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Request for Undeletion of Rothwell Wiki[edit | edit source]

Following this wiki request, which cannot be created as the rothwellwiki database name still exists as a deleted wiki, I confirmed it is still at Special:ManageWiki/core/rothwellwiki. I have separately confirmed they were the local bureaucrat at the time of the wiki's deletion, as per the original wiki request. So, could any steward please kindly undelete this wiki for @Rothwell:? Thank you. Dmehus (talk) 22:01, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

Wiki undeleted by @Void: per this request. @Rothwell:, your wiki has been undeleted. You should be able to manage your wiki again. Dmehus (talk) 22:10, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
I'm unable to edit the wiki as it says:
"You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason:
The action you have requested is limited to users in the group: Users."
This is despite me being logged in and checking I was part of "Users". Can you offer any guidance? Rothwell (talk) 19:33, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
I managed to fix it by adjusting who could edit the wiki.
I think it's sorted for now! Rothwell (talk) 19:40, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

Global username[edit | edit source]

Hello. I wanted to ask whether I could "usurp" the username https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/Special:CentralAuth/GR since this user apparently made no edits? Godless Raven (talk) 07:51, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

@Godless Raven: I've moved this here (to SN) as ultimately it will be for Stewards to decide. Last time something like this was done, the user in question was asked on their talkpage if they objected to the usurpation and with no response in a month, it was done. I propose that in this instance, the same procedure is followed: you should ask the user on their talkpage whether they object and if they do not respond in a month, come back here and request that a Steward usurp the account. Reception123 (talk) (C) 08:03, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
Done! https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/User_talk:GR --Godless Raven (talk) 08:37, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
@Godless Raven: Looks good. On 26 December, feel free to repost here if there has been no response from the user. Reception123 (talk) (C) 08:49, 26 November 2020 (UTC

Messed up my wiki[edit | edit source]

I accidentally deleted the bureaucrat group on my new wiki, could a steward add managewiki to sysop please? Seemplez (talk) 17:34, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

@Seemplez: This is indeed a steward request, so I've pinged @NDKilla and Void: to this thread. However, since it is somewhat technical in nature in that it was an obvious inadvertent group removal, I have also pinged @Reception123:, to potentially do it as an emergency system administrator action in lieu of stewards if not done within approximately 24 hours. Dmehus (talk) 18:13, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
I've restored the original bureaucrat group to your wiki. Do be sure not to remove it (or the managewiki right) until you have setup a replacement. -- Void Whispers 18:59, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
Thank you @Void: and @Dmehus:. Seemplez (talk) 19:14, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
@Seemplez:  No problem, and thank you to @Void: for correcting that as well. Universal Omega is going to investigate the possibility of adding a warning to users prior to removing either the default bureaucrat user group or the managewiki user right in ManageWiki. Dmehus (talk) 19:34, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

Request for local interwiki administrator of Kubu Wiki[edit | edit source]

Sorry I forgot to write this in my request, thanks LilyLilyu - smile.svg (Lilypond Wiki · talk and I will listen · my little garden) 16:49, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

@Lily: Due to some inconsistencies between the policy page and successive interwiki reform RfCs, it was somewhat unclear on what the requirements, exactly, were for local interwiki administrator. There is actually a 500 edit requirement on the wiki where requested for local interwiki administrator. While you don't meet that on your wiki, since you meet the global edit requirement, that criterion is satisfied. Nevertheless, there is actually supposed to be a local election held (which can be an election by acclamation), so would you be able to hold a local election by creating a local election page somewhere on the wiki? You can find more details on the process here. Once your local election has concluded in at least 5-7 calendar days, you can return to this thread, reply, and link to the election for a steward to assess. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 17:22, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
Meantime, I remain available to add any interwiki prefixes for you on that wiki. Dmehus (talk) 17:22, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: I have established a local election on the mainpage and hope that it fits the requirements LilyLilyu - smile.svg (Lilypond Wiki · talk to me · little garden · my wiki of everything) 18:14, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
@Lily:  Perfect! Did you need any interwiki prefixes added on that wiki before it concludes and rights are granted by a steward, or are you able to wait? Happy to help either way. Dmehus (talk) 19:19, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus: Local Interwiki prefix "lily" for Lilypond Wiki (transclusion + link) would be a real help now if it does not cause too much labor now, thank you very much LilyLilyu - smile.svg (Lilypond Wiki · talk to me · little garden · my wiki of everything) 19:55, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
@Lily: Not a problem.  Interwiki prefix added at kubu wiki. 20:06, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Local election on Daria Wiki assessment requested[edit | edit source]

The 7 days reserved for the DariaWiki admin election are finished, and I am the lead candidate. I request that this be acknowledged with admin access granted to me. Thank you.

Pagename WellTemperedClavier (talk) 23:48, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

@WellTemperedClavier: Your users' voting syntax doesn't follow quite the standard conventions, since their votes are not signed, but nevertheless, any steward can verify the page's history and confirm individual votes, if so desired. Nevertheless, this  LGTM. I will try and remind a steward in a couple days to assess your local election for the position of sysop from the looks of it. Dmehus (talk) 23:53, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
Sorry to make you go through the extra step. Thanks! WellTemperedClavier (talk) 01:37, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
Oh, it should be  no problem at all, but thank you for the kind words. :) Dmehus (talk) 01:42, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
By the way @Dmehus, is sysop the same as admin? WellTemperedClavier (talk) 18:10, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
@WellTemperedClavier: Yes, sysop is the group name for administrator, as it is referenced to that in the relevant database table(s). It is not the same as bureaucrat, but you can always hold a separate local election for that role later on, if so desired. Dmehus (talk) 18:23, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
Done. -- Void Whispers 17:40, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
Am I now the sysop? WellTemperedClavier (talk) 18:25, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
Per user rights log, you have administrator rights on the wiki. So, yes! HeartsDo (Talk || Global || Wiki Creator) 18:36, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
Thank you! WellTemperedClavier (talk) 18:42, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

Local election on Athas Wiki assessment requested[edit | edit source]

I made a local election at https://athas.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page and signaled the election making a banner in the main page with a link to the local election page: https://athas.miraheze.org/wiki/Athas:Elections/2020 . In the rules I wrote for the election I established 7 calendar days and the local election is finished. I voted for me signing my vote, but there is no other voters. I request the corresponding steward check that election on Athas. Avengium (talk) 19:30, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

@Avengium: Okay, this  LGTM. A steward should assess your local election request in the next week, and grant the requested rights if successful. I will try and {{ping}} a steward in the next 2-3 days if not done by then. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 19:41, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
Looks good, closing. -- Void Whispers 17:42, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

Request for Undeletion of Perl 6 Wiki[edit | edit source]

Could either of the stewards, being @NDKilla, John, and Void:, please undelete Perl 6 Wiki, which exists as a deleted wiki? There's been a request on IRC by a user in #miraheze connect not that long ago requesting this. Direct link to undelete is at Special:ManageWiki/core/perl6wiki. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 21:03, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

Done. Also unclosed locally to prevent a re-deletion. -- Void Whispers 17:36, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

Inactive notice for active wiki[edit | edit source]

Probably related to wikis closed in error: https://wfhb.miraheze.org/ is showing as inactive although there are multiple posts within the last 45 days.

We value the opportunity to have our wiki hosted here. Thanks! Chuck.Beckett (talk) 19:51, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

@Chuck.Beckett: Thank you for your post, though this is out of scope of stewards. Secondarily, there's no indication this wiki was closed since the inadvertent wiki closure, which has since been resolved. Thus, as you are the local bureaucrat on the wiki, all you need to do is go into Special:ManageWiki and uncheck "inactive," and the notice should disappear. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 22:00, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
Also, I'm looking at the wiki, and I'm not actually noticing any local activity other than a single edit today. Is there some other activity present on the wiki that isn't obvious? -- Void Whispers 22:20, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

I cannot access my wiki Yandross[edit | edit source]

I don't know if it's been deleted or not, but whenever I try to access my wiki, it just loads a white page with nothing on it. I can't access the Special:ManageWiki page and for all intents and purposes, the thing doesn't seem to exist anymore.

Here's where it (used) to be yandross.miraheze.org/ Drexanz (talk) 04:15, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

@Drexanz: It doesn't look like it's been deleted, but there's something technically wrong, so I've referred this to system administrators on Discord. Feel free to join there, if you wish. If not, though, one of them should reply to this thread. Dmehus (talk) 04:50, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
Alright, thank you. I'll wait around here for an answer to the problem. Drexanz (talk) 04:51, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
Just stating that I can access the wiki again. All looks well. Drexanz (talk) 07:31, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
Great, I'm also able to access it! Please feel free to let us know if you have any issues again, though preferably on Community noticeboard as such technical issues aren't something stewards need to respond to. Reception123 (talk) (C) 09:46, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

I hereby request a CheckUser on these users involved in recent vandalism attacks based on their edits on the Best TV Shows Wiki[edit | edit source]

I have a reason to believe that sockpuppetry is somehow involved here considering these edit summaries: https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Kikoriki&oldid=55688 https://besttvshows.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Kikoriki&oldid=55311

RhinosF1 wanted me to request it here on the Stewards Noticeboard in case you're wondering. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 20:00, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

If any of the Stewards are seeing this, feel free to perform a CheckUser on the sockpuppets involved in multiple article vandalism attacks from the Best TV Shows Wiki and on the Terrible TV Shows Wiki. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 22:24, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
For what it's worth, most stewards have likely seen this thread, and will take action, accordingly, if they feel it's warranted. Note that there may be no final resolution to your thread, either. Rest assured, though, they will review your report, and act in a manner as they feel is appropriate. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 22:26, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
@Dmehus:, Thanks for reassuring me. I hope either @Void:, @NDKilla:, or @John: does something about it. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 22:32, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

@TheBurningPrincess: Thank you for this request. For clarity, do you want this done on ildril.miraheze.org or iolrathenere.miraheze.org? Dmehus (talk) 20:06, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
Noting your reply, thank you for the clarification. With that clarification, a steward should effect this change within a few days. Dmehus (talk) 20:07, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Block this user[edit | edit source]

There's a user called AudiomachineForLife on Rotten Websites Wiki and he's spreading anti-pro life propaganda. Here's proof:

An edit he made: https://rottenwebsites.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Jesus-is-savior.com&diff=23520&oldid=23456

An edit he made on a page he made: https://rottenwebsites.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Survivors_of_the_Abortion_Holocaust&diff=prev&oldid=19260

Some proposals he made on Awful Movies Wiki that include defaming a pro-life movie: https://awfulmovies.miraheze.org/wiki/Topic:Vsnf8j403titd70z https://awfulmovies.miraheze.org/wiki/Topic:Vsr65ssppii8kco5

Please delete the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust page and block AudiomachineForLife. Nekoman (talk) 03:03, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

I have not looked in detail at the wiki or pages, but as a matter of principles Miraheze does not engage in censorship. A person is free to be "pro-life" or "pro-choice" and I do not think Miraheze should prevent users from expressing their opinions. This also looks like a request for blocking the user on that wiki so I think you should contact the local administrators there and they will decide to block or not. DeeM28 (talk) 11:50, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
@Nekoman: Hi, I took a look, and as DeeM28 has said we do not censor users, as long as they do not violate our Global Policies. Judging by the links you’ve provided, I see no reason for a Global Sysop or Steward to act. Zppix (Meta | Sysadmin | talk to me) 12:51, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
@Nekoman: They were from April and onward before you made this report. In other words, if it was still going, then that would be different. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 13:16, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
@Zppix: If you guys don't like censorship, then why did you guys close Atrocious YouTubers Wiki, Toxic Fandoms and Hatedoms Wiki, Incredible Wikis and Users Wiki, and Unfavorable Wikis and Users Wiki? Nekoman (talk) 21:18, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
@Nekoman: That's a very different case. In that case, and similar ones, local wiki bureaucrats repeatedly chose to ignore steward and Global Sysop warnings to deal with their local wiki administrators and users who harassed other users in block and edit summaries and with unsourced potentially libelous statements, thus contravening Content Policy in a systemic way. @Dmehus: From what I have seen, they were never intended to harass users however the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust page is biased and defamatory and one of AudiomachinneForLife's edit summary said "More to show that Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust is evil and should be terminated". Nekoman (talk) 03:41, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
@Nekoman: Could you please give us more details about what makes you say that the page is defamatory? And it has been asked above already, but have you tried contacting the local administrators about this issue first? In addition, the definition of defamatory is "the action of damaging the good reputation of someone", so I don't think it's possible for a movie to be defamed. The only way that it would be violating our Content Policy is if the page is spreading "unsubstantiated insult, hate or rumours against [...] a group of people". You are free to provide us with more justification as to why you think this is violating the Content Policy, but please do try to contact the local sysops first. nevermind I managed to log in disregard this XXSeph MySpaceXx (talk) 13:08, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

does this have to do with the domain change?[edit | edit source]

after I had the domain of my wiki changed, members of the wiki have reported being unable to log in. I was unable to log in for a while too but eventually got back in, but the other members still can't log in. does this issue have to do with the domain change? is there anything you can do to fix it? XXSeph MySpaceXx (talk) 15:08, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

@XXSeph MySpaceXx: I'm not certain exactly, but the problem is likely cookie related. If you recently had cause to clear all of your web browser's cookies or were just routinely clearing all web browsing history (including cookies), then yes, this would log you out. Try and always make sure you see your username in the top menu of any wiki before posting. Should you have any login issues in the future, you can always e-mail system administrators at tech at miraheze.org, and they'll be happy to look into it for/with you. Nevertheless, I have updated your signature above to reference your logged in username, and have revision deleted the intervening revisions. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 15:46, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

Problem[edit | edit source]

How come everytime I try and give my new account user rights nothing works. What the heck is going on? I have no idea 2.0 (talk) 20:02, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

@I have no idea 2.0: Hi. It's quite difficult to get what exactly the issue is from your message. Do you mean you have created a new account and are trying to assign rights to it? If so, on which wiki? And what do you mean by "nothing works"? Reception123 (talk) (C) 20:09, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
This is possibly related to @I have no idea:'s creating a second account in @I have no idea 2.0: (permalink to discussion). If that's the case, then they would need to grant rights to their second account from the first account. If that's not the case, then we need more clarification here as @Reception123: said.
