RESPOND HERE: [1]

Are there any wikis or websites where I can write in Markdown but publish in HTML?

I've been having trouble finding something like a webpage or wiki where I can write in markdown. I don't exactly want a blog (apparently with Wordpress you can write in Markdown). So are there any sites where I can write in Markdown, and that support images?

  1. http://hashify.me would work except anyone with the link can edit the source markdown.
  2. Gist supports images but not image captions, I'd like to have image captions.
  3. Pastebin doesn't support images and the resulting markdown looks bad.
  4. Creating an automatic Table of contents would be great but it's optional.

Thanks. --Bulrush (talk) 11:54, 18 September 2019 (UTC)

@Bulrush: Images are always supported, you can upload them as wanted, but I think writing in Markdown on MediaWiki is managed by an extension OR not possible. --Anderlaxe (talk) 11:59, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
@Anderlaxe: Would I have to install an extension on my wiki so I can write in markdown? --Bulrush (talk) 14:44, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
@Bulrush: Probably, it's best to dig around mediawiki.org and see if you can find an extension for your wiki. Aνδρέας talk | contributions 02:25, 1 October 2019 (UTC)

Wiki deletion request

Delete "schupiewikiwiki". - P1av0rSe01Complaint? 11:19, 22 September 2019 (UTC)

Though you seem to be the only bureaucrat there, it seems like there have been multiple contributors (including the founder) on the wiki. Thus, before deleting the wiki, could you provide us a community decision (to prove that your request is not based on your personal matter)? Please note that we cannot delete a wiki upon personal requests (and besides, it will automatically be eligible for deletion if you leave it alone as it is).--開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 05:19, 28 September 2019 (UTC)

Inactivity Notice

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place for this request, otherwise, I leave free provision for this thread to be transferred to another page if that is required.

Until last year I was an active user like Wiki Creator, Interwiki Administrator, CVT and COCC, however, this year due to various responsibilities and projects that I started to carry out, I have not been able to allow Miraheze enough time to be able to be active and exercise the responsibilities you used to have. There is a probability that in the January-February 2020 period I may have some more free time, but unfortunately I cannot guarantee at this time that this can be achieved, less if the rest of next year can remain active.

That is why I make available to the Miraheze Staff any type of permit or access that I have until today, thanking of course the trust granted for such responsibilities both by the community and also by the Miraheze Staff that in their this moment also guided me in my first steps here.

I hope to be able to collaborate again in Miraheze at some point, for now, I think this is the best thing I can do to avoid inconveniences arising from prolonged inactivity.

Regards and Thanks. —AlvaroMolina ( - ) 02:22, 26 September 2019 (UTC)

Hello. There is an active RFC going on regarding a username policy. RFC OwenFung87 01:31, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Untitled

Hey! I am looking for a user named Enker and Jordan. Could you please help? If you can give me a list, that'd be amazing!

Also, a user named PoseidonHeir or Poseidon Heir.

I need to talk to them for personal reasons but I promise it isn't against Miraheze ToU or ToS. Thank you and have a good day!

If you know the exact usernames, you can find where they are on Special:CentralAuth.--開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 05:39, 28 September 2019 (UTC)

No admins and bureaucrats on googologywiki

Hi, I am an editor at Googology Wiki. There are no active crats and admins, however there are a small amount of local users there. Because I am the only active user there, and the founder is totally inactive, can some steward or sysadmin give themselves admin, crat, check user and oversight rights? That way I can manage this wiki (file uploads are disabled there, and management is missing. Thank you.

Should I move this request to the adoption noticeboard? OwenFung87 05:03, 29 September 2019 (UTC)

Stewards do not need to give bureaucrat and administrator permissions to themselves (unless somehow locally elected or themselves are the founders) because we can do the same thing on every wiki on Miraheze. Please note that we also have CVT for counter vandalism operations. For checkuser and oversight, you can make a request here on Stewards' noticeboard so that we can deal with reported cases every time when necessary.--開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 18:25, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Central notice creation for a new RfC

Hello, I was wondering if a steward could make a central notice for the new RfC located here. Thanks! Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 21:11, 1 October 2019 (UTC)

Hey, one more thing: The group centralnoticeadmin should be created.
I think it's managed by sysadmins via technical channel and not via wiki.--開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 09:52, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
CN is stewards responsibility primarily. Sysadmins use it as they see fit for their purposes, all community stuff falls to stewards. John (talk) 13:58, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
OK, thanks for your comment.--開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 14:34, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
Yes check.svg Done The CN should be working now.--開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 15:33, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

One of Loathsome Characters Wiki's admin is going rouge and deleting everything!

I'm speechless. https://loathsomecharacters.miraheze.org/wiki/Loathsome_Characters_Wiki Noblets563 (talk) 19:15, 3 October 2019 (UTC)

User:Bennyben1998

Bennyben1998 is inactive on https://moderaterightpedia.miraheze.org

As the founder, I request his demotion as our wiki's rules are that if a bureau is inactive for more than a specified amount of time, that he is to be demoted.

Yes check.svg Done; I've dropped the bureaucrat flag. -- Void Whispers 21:36, 3 October 2019 (UTC)

how would i find a list of wikis?

thank you and have a good day.

Temporary adminship

Hi, because the founder is totally inactive, and I needed to import templates from enwiki, can you please give me administrator rights? OwenFung87 03:59, 4 October 2019 (UTC)

On which wiki? If the wiki is eligible for adoption, please file a request on requests for adoption. If not, please bring us a community decision of the wiki so that we can see your request is legitimate.--開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 15:35, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
@開拓者: It is no use filing a local request for adminship because the last active user before me was active 2 months ago and now the community is totally dead. I am sure that pinging them locally won't work, as most of them are active on FANDOM and not here. OwenFung87 05:13, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
You can still create a voting page or anything similar to prove your claim. After the vote proves that you are the only one remaining there, your will will be treated as the will of the community (until a newcomer approaches). --開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 16:24, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
I have already created a voting page. https://googology.miraheze.org/wiki/Googology:Requests_for_adminship/OwenFung87 OwenFung87 10:58, 7 October 2019 (UTC)

I have a problem

Can someone look at this? I can not get any further.

@DAWR: @John: has fixed the issue, in the future you only need to post these types of messages to the Community Noticeboard, and no need to post the same message to multiple noticeboards either! Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 21:00, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
Thanks --DAWR (talk) 22:04, 4 October 2019 (UTC)

    • Please first understand the policies before running for staff (or possibly, a steward). There are some proper processes for it. Anyone, however, is welcome to contribute as volunteers.--開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 07:16, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
