OOjs UI icon globe.svgStewards' noticeboard
This noticeboard is only for requests that require Stewards', or, in a limited number of circumstances, Global Sysops' intervention. If in doubt, please try the Community noticeboard first, and you will be directed here if the matter requires a Steward.

On the Stewards' noticeboard, you can request...

  • ...a Steward or Global Sysop lock a spam only or vandalism only account. Note that for vandalism only accounts, the vandalism must meet the global standard definition for vandalism and to be a vandalism only account, there must be no or almost no constructive editing behaviour and, additionally, this behaviour should be occurring on multiple wikis
  • ...additional permissions on your wiki(s) that can only be granted by a Steward, such as local interwiki administrator following a successful election
  • ...a page requiring the bigdelete user right (more than 1,000 revisions) be deleted on your wiki
  • ...a Dormancy Policy exemption for your wiki

or report...

  • ...a Username Policy violation (whether in good-faith or bad faith)
  • ...a user suspected of abusing multiple accounts per the User accounts policy. You must link to specific revisions from both the suspected master and illegitimate alternate account(s)
  • ...systemic Code of Conduct problems occurring by one or more user(s) on one or more wiki(s) and/or systemic Content Policy violations on one or more wiki(s). In either case, your report must link to specific revisions and, in the latter case, your report must be both thorough and comprehensive

If you would like to request...

Please remember to:

  • Sign your request using ~~~~

Requesting bureaucrat rights removal of DuchessTheSponge

Hello, per his statement of disinterest in continuing to participate as an admin/bureaucrat on the fanfiction.miraheze wiki; after I adopted it due to inactivity; could you please remove DuchessTheSponge's bureaucrat rights there, thank you. Freighttrain (talk) 17:10, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Freighttrain: I am monitoring this request, and will relist it as required, to prevent it from being archived. A steward should get to it eventually. As a procedural matter, the steward will likely remove the bureaucrat flag on Meta with Special:UserRights/DuchessTheSponge@fanfictionwiki. It won't show in your wiki's user rights log, but will show on Meta's user rights log. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 17:25, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Local interwiki administrator request

Hi, I request local rights for interwiki admininstration for my wikis Lilypond Wiki · my little garden · Regionalbahn Weinviertel (although I said I would not need them, maybe this rights come in handy for some purposes), thank you very much Lily (Lilypond Wiki · talk and I will listen · my little garden ) 04:45, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Lily: Thank you for making your request for local interwiki administrator on each of your above three (3) wikis at community noticeboard. Please note that I have administratively moved it to this noticeboard, where it is now in scope. Requests for local interwiki table changes on wikis continue at community noticeboard, whereas local permissions requests which can only be granted by stewards should occur on stewards' noticeboard. A steward should attend to your request within a few days to a week, but I will make sure this is relisted, to prevent archiving, until it is actioned. As well, I thought I should also note this revision in which you noted that Manuela was your alternate account on one or more of those wiki(s), effectively making you the only local bureaucrat on those wikis. Dmehus (talk) 09:23, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Sorry for the wrong board and thank you for moving it to the right board. Lily (Lilypond Wiki · talk and I will listen · my little garden )

We have a vandal on a couple of wikis.

Jobtherobber has vandalized the Awful Movies Wiki and the Loathsome Characters Wiki with some proof: Revision #1 and Revision #2. While he was blocked on Awful Movies Wiki, the same thing can't be said about the Loathsome Characters Wiki as he hasn't been blocked on that wiki yet. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 12:56, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing to worry about here. The account has Yes check.svg been blocked locally on both wikis. So disregard this message here as I got a reply on Discord anyways. DarkMatterMan4500 19:22, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

Request for Dormancy Policy exemption

Our wiki is meant to be a collection of information for our community members to read. Edits will not be preformed often enough to satisfy the dormancy policy without an exemption. Wiki is realisticfarmsimnetworkwiki.miraheze.org RFN (talk) 21:08, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@RFN: Thank you for your request. A steward should review it in due course, and I will relist the request if required. Dmehus (talk) 21:41, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

Hi, I have some vandalism on the following page: https://r2.miraheze.org/wiki/Trello. I don't know how to go back to an old version. Can you please help me with this and learn me how to go back to a certain version? Regards, Tim, Timboliu999 (talk) 16:27, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Timboliu999: I would like to apologize for reverting an edit without even realizing that it was supposed to be there. I won't ever do something like that again, and would like to say sorry for that edit I made. DarkMatterMan4500 16:34, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Timboliu999: It's done. Interestingly enough, the last good version was ID 99999. Naleksuh (talk) 16:35, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Timboliu999: Whether you are an administrator or not, you can simply edit the latest revision prior to said vandalism, and, when you save that revision, it will overwrite all subsequent revisions to the revision which you edited. Alternatively, if it is blatant vandalism and you have the rollback user right, you can simply rollback the vandalism. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 16:35, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: In this case, the vandalism was from multiple user accounts, and was somewhat more complex to revert. However, I have since reverted it, so this discussion is now archived. Naleksuh (talk) 16:39, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Naleksuh: Okay, fair enough, but even still, if all subsequent edits have been either vandalism or minor edits that can be easily restored, a restoration of the old revision could still be done. And, I did want to assist @Timboliu999: with correcting it in the future. Dmehus (talk) 16:42, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── I do highly recommend using abuse filter for vandalism — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cocopuff2018 (talkcontribs) 03:12, 4 November 2020‎ (UTC)[reply]

Thanks @DarkMatterMan4500: for your help. I accidentily thought you were one of the vandals :-) I did unblock you, did I? Thanks @Dmehus: for the tip! Timboliu999 (talk) 07:54, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Timboliu999: Yep, you sure did. DarkMatterMan4500 11:49, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request for my account to be globally locked

Hello, I'm starting to lose interest in the Miraheze reception wikis, due to the negative ones involving users (including mine) being closed for "Content Policy violations", and the reasons I include for good qualities (especially on positive reception wikis) seem too generic and I can't think of any, so for these reasons, I would like for my account to be globally locked. It's also the fact that Miraheze got a little bit toxic for me, since someone trolled me back in September and wished death on my dog (I've already reported him to be globalled for trolling and unacceptable username, but still). Me hiding his topics also apparently fed the troll, even if I only said one word in my reasoning for hiding his topics, like "troll" or "trolling", instead of including an emotional sentence or valid criticism in general, and I don't feel very lucky for that reason, since no matter what I do to stop trolls, it only feeds them. I know it's only one person I was a victim of on Miraheze, but yeah. -- Perry The Chiweenie (talk) 14:10, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Perry The Chiweenie: We're sorry to see you go, if that's your wish. The good thing is, you're not locally blocked on any wikis, so you have nothing to worry about when you return. Note that since you've apparently been targeted by trolls, that you may also wish to consider redacting your personal information and renaming your account, which is a process that system administrators can undertake for you. Such requests will need to come from your confirmed, registered e-mail address and be sent to tech(at)miraheze.org; otherwise, a steward or Global Sysop can lock your account for you, if you still wish to proceed. However, if prefer just to link to specific instances of Code of Conduct violations, we can definitely look into those, delete the problematic revisions, and take other actions as required. Dmehus (talk) 15:41, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Yes, I still wish to proceed, and I completely understand. When I’m targeted by trolls, I just leave the websites. Perry The Chiweenie (talk) 16:22, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Perry The Chiweenie: Okay, fair enough, though my preference would be see us take appropriate action against the trolls and the offending content. Nonetheless, I respect your decision and, should you wish to ever return, you may either (a) request an unlock via e-mail to stewards(at)miraheze.org or (b) create a new account. In addition, should you wish to have your personal information redacted from your current account, this may still be able to be done by system administrators regardless of your account's locked status. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 16:45, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Okay, thanks! Perry The Chiweenie (talk) 16:49, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Reception123: Can you lock @Perry The Chiweenie:'s account for him as a self-requested lock? I'm assuming you probably missed this, but you can use the revision created by this reply, as it will capture both the original request and replies. Dmehus (talk) 03:30, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalizing troll ruffian on Loathsome Characters Wiki

This guy has been vandalizing a couple articles on that wiki by adding nonsense/gibberish into it. Here's the diff revision ID: diff #1 diff #2 diff #3 diff #4 diff #5 and diff #6 DarkMatterMan4500 17:12, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

@DarkMatterMan4500: Haven't looked at the contributions, but have you tried reaching out to a local administrator on that wiki to locally warn and/or block the user first? Global Sysops should only act if, after a reasonable period of time, vandalism has gone unremediated. If you have, then, yes, a Global Sysop can take action here. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 17:15, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: I tried, but I haven't heard a response from them.  DarkMatterMan4500 17:19, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DarkMatterMan4500: Okay, thanks, I'll {{ping}} @Reception123: to take a look at your diffs, which will be helpful, and locally warning and blocking for now. If they continue vandalizing other wikis, then further action can be taken. Dmehus (talk) 17:21, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Sounds good.  DarkMatterMan4500 17:22, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Ummm, the vandalism is still occurring and now he's resorting to removing content from pages as shown here, here, not to mention here also, and finally, this one. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 17:35, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Some of these wikis still talk and lie about users/real people.

A user on Crappy Games Wiki is harassing a user in edit quotes

His username is DarkMatterMan4500

Proof: https://ibb.co/C70Q0dX

https://crappygames.miraheze.org/w/index.php?title=Topic:Vx1y4ymivhfh0ftx&action=history IvanTheGreat (talk) 00:16, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@IvanTheGreat: First off, I wasn't even harassing you. There was a reason why I was continuously blocking you because you keep on abusing multiple accounts. So that right there is a lie and you know it. Second, I only said that to you because you were getting on everybody's nerves. And last, but most certainly not least, that proof barely even shows anything. So overall, I may not exactly hate you as a person, but you've been annoying nearly everyone else, including me on both Miraheze and Discord, and this is getting ridiculous. DarkMatterMan4500 00:22, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't do anything, and plus you did that to someone else IvanTheGreat (talk) 00:35, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@IvanTheGreat: You're gonna get yourself BOOMERANG locked if you keep this lie up. DarkMatterMan4500 00:41, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You harassed a user, that's against Miraheze Code of conduct IvanTheGreat (talk) 00:46, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You also shouldn't be slandering other users like that. In fact, you shouldn't be lying to the Stewards about that, because all I did was say something in a way that would tell you to stop with all this sockpuppeting. DarkMatterMan4500 00:53, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
That is a straight-up lie, and you know it. You haven't even provided any evidence to prove that. DarkMatterMan4500 00:49, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
Both of you need to stop. Arguing with each does not look good for either of you. I suggest either handling it like an adult, or just avoid interacting with each other. That being said, I will look into this. Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 00:52, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Look Zppix I just posted proof about him harassing people with quotes and he denies it... IvanTheGreat (talk) 00:53, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Zppix: I was going to stop anyway. DarkMatterMan4500 00:54, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Still DarkMatterMan4500 that's against Code of Conduct. You might get a ban. IvanTheGreat (talk) 00:56, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I will be consulting with others to see if they believe action should be taken, as accusing users without reliable proof is against the CoC. Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 00:56, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I just proved it, check the edit history. And the screenshot IvanTheGreat (talk) 00:57, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Should of clarified my reply was not to you. Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 00:59, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok then... IvanTheGreat (talk) 01:01, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Also, @Zppix: who were you referring to? DarkMatterMan4500 01:04, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hold up, I think I know. And shouldn't we close this topic now? DarkMatterMan4500 01:12, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
@Zppix: This has been going on since yesterday. Ever since he raided our Discord server with multiple bots, (and even went as far as to having an impostor of me in the raid), I had to constantly ban them over and over again. It was repetitive, I know. But I'm just getting tired of all of this going on. DarkMatterMan4500 00:59, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Who raided the server, I wanna ask? Besides I am Ivan007 on Discord... IvanTheGreat (talk) 01:01, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@IvanTheGreat: That name Ivan007 sounds similar to Vendetta007. DarkMatterMan4500 01:03, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Because I am a big fan of Goldeneye :) IvanTheGreat (talk) 01:03, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Guess we should just end the argument here. It has gotten us nowhere, and Zppix is right. DarkMatterMan4500 01:28, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
That's fine, I guess. DarkMatterMan4500 01:09, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
X mark.svg Not done if any user involved continues to accuse another user of something without proof, CoC action could be taken if deemed needed. Act like adults or don’t interact its that simple. Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 06:42, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Zppix: Oh, no worries, it won't happen anymore. I think we should also close this thread. DarkMatterMan4500 11:50, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think this needs formal closure. @Zppix: has marked this as X mark.svg Not done, so no further replies should occur in this thread. Dmehus (talk) 16:21, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not assigned user rights on my wiki

Hello. I logged into my new wiki, but I cannot edit ManageWiki or any other bureaucrat actions. I checked and I am not in any user groups. My wiki is here. Help is appreciated. LukeofLuchijan (talk) 15:43, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@LukeofLuchijan: Hi, sometimes, CreateWiki doesn't create main page and doesn't giving groups to user. Normally, a wiki creator has to visit the page for see if it was done and warn if is not the case (@Naleksuh: Don't forget next time to do this please :c). A steward or a system administrator will take care of this request and giving you the bureaucrat and administrator group. HeartsDo (Talk || Global || Wiki Creator) 16:14, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Was this page removed before by Stewards

https://crappygames.miraheze.org/wiki/YandereDev I am just asking this, since the stewards removed the page before. And the users didn't ask the stewards permission to recreate the page, similar to the Inkster page. IvanTheGreat (talk) 18:45, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@IvanTheGreat: If it was deleted by a steward, it is highly unlikely the log entry for that page's deletion would be suppressed. Therefore, if there is no record of its deletion, I would suggest it is highly unlikely it was deleted by a global functionary. Dmehus (talk) 19:14, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I checked the deletion log and the page was removed before.
22:43, 2 March 2019 Void talk contribs deleted page YandereDev (violates Terms of Use, see talk for full details) IvanTheGreat (talk) 19:25, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@IvanTheGreat: That's odd, as the Terms of Use is normally enforced by system administrators. Perhaps @Void: meant Code of Conduct? I'm not sure. It's possible the page is now compliant, I'm not sure, but this does nevertheless need either a steward or a system administrator to review, if the Terms of Use was indeed the policy cited. Dmehus (talk) 19:57, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Meh, looks like the page has resolved the issues it was originally deleted for. There's nothing that stands out as being immediately objectionable. I would have preferred to review, but as I recall, I think a review was asked for, and nobody got around to it. Also, it appears that my full rationale for deleting the page was deleted itself (here if you have access). I don't really object though, since it would possibly cause more confusion. -- Void Whispers 20:41, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

When will you reopen the Toxic Fandoms and Hatedoms wiki?

Can someone do a checkuser?

I think that this user is abusing multiple accounts (IP adresses). So can you use a checkuser on the following addresses? All of them tend to request things to other users against their wills.

The main reason why I want you to do so is because that all of them seem to behave awfully similar to each other in the comment section but on differnt pages (Such as 20th century fox, blog posts related to Pokemon, etc). RedTheShadowWarrior73 (talk) 06:36, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

X mark.svg Not done we do not check users to IPs Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 07:17, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly this thread is drama/bullying related

https://awfulmovies.miraheze.org/wiki/Topic:Vx6qgskinn964kur IvanTheGreat (talk) 14:22, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@IvanTheGreat: Actually, that thread isn't actually bullying in any way. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:30, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You are clearing promoting Witch-Hunting which is against Miraheze's Code Of Conduct IvanTheGreat (talk) 14:40, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@IvanTheGreat and DarkMatterMan4500: I would strongly suggest both of you stop interacting with each other immediately. IvanTheGreat, please find some other non-Reception wikis where you can contribute constructively. DarkMatterMan4500, there's no need to reply to every thread IvanTheGreat starts. Moreover, there's no need to cast aspersions of who you think he might be, and threads like that Awful Movies Wiki thread aren't helpful. Dmehus (talk) 14:40, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
X mark.svg Enough! This thread should not receive any further replies. You've both been warned. Dmehus (talk) 14:43, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In addition, if it does continue, enforcement via blocks (partial and/or sitewide) will be used to enforce it. You will mot be warned anymore, I thought I made this clear in the previous thread. Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 15:02, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Another drama related page/blog

https://awfulmovies.miraheze.org/wiki/Blog:How_to_spot_a_Willg8686_alt I feel like I am going to get banned for this, but like I said these reception wikis are ruining Miraheze's reputation IvanTheGreat (talk) 14:59, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have a question to ask

Why do my wiki requests keep getting declined? I'm not mad, upset or anything like that, I just wanna know why. Nersh1rtXD (talk) 22:36, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Nersh1rtXD: Firstly, your first request was declined per Content Policy as your wiki proposed to be solely a "shitposting wiki," as I believe you phrased it. Secondly, its purpose, scope, and topic was vague and unclear. And finally, you created a second request, rather than editing your existing request. Dmehus (talk) 22:44, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Oops. I guess I should've explained my request better. Anyways, sorry about that, while I did intend for the wiki to be humourous and satirical, I don't intend for it to be like the infamous "fun shitposting wiki" or "encyclopedia dramatica". I plan for the humour on my wiki to be more tame compared to that. I'll edit my first request and if I still can't host it here, I'll host it on another wiki hosting site. Nersh1rtXD (talk) 23:01, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: I edited my first request. Hopefully the topic about what I want my wiki to be about should be more clear this time. Nersh1rtXD (talk) 23:20, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I could suggest making a new and Cleaner Toxic Fandoms and Hatedoms wiki.

Active wiki closed for inactivity?

Hello there, I am an administrator from Comic Crossroads and I'm not sure who to refer to but I have been facing this rather odd issue: for two times now, the wiki has been automatically closed for “inactivity” even though we make sure to regularly editing it, this has not been a problem before but over this month it has becomen more problematic. I don't know if the issue is already known or anything, but I hope this helps. If this is not the right place, I apologize, though please redirect me to the proper channels.

Regards, JoyfulKindred (talk) 14:07, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@JoyfulKindred: Not a steward or anything like it, but this issue is already know as some wikis I looked into are closed, even though they are active. On the discord announcements channel, it said "We are aware some wikis have been marked as closed when they shouldn’t have been. If you are able, just go to Special:ManageWiki, and uncheck the close box, then click submit. If you are unable to do so, contact a system administrator." You can contact a bureaucrat in the closed wiki and ask them to uncheck the close box, then click submit. If a bureaucrat or you can't, contact a system administrator. Hope it helps. Can you make me an autoconfirmed user on the HVW? GrammaropolisFTW GoldieAndBearFTL Returns (talk) 13:07, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@GrammaropolisFTW GoldieAndBearFTL Returns: There's a couple problems with your request. Firstly, I'm not sure what wiki "HVW" is. Secondly, a steward can only grant rights on local wikis in the absence of local administrators or bureaucrats. That is to say, there would have to be no active bureaucrats or administrators on the local wiki for a considerable period of time. Finally, as long as users have the edit right on that local wiki, you can make about ten sandbox edits and become autoconfirmed, provided it's been four days since you attached your account to that wiki. Dmehus (talk) 13:53, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: I think he's referring to the Horrible Vyonders Wiki. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:02, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I thought that was possible as well, but didn't want to assume that may be the case. Assuming that were the case, then @GrammaropolisFTW GoldieAndBearFTL Returns:, it won't be possible as that wiki is currently locked and made private by stewards due to serial Content Policy and Code of Conduct issues. Vandalizing ruffian on multiple wikis:

This guy is not only a vandal, but also has an inappropriate username Evidence #1, Evidence #2 (Although it got deleted by me), and Evidence #3. (The blog post on #3 has also been deleted as well.) DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 23:59, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkMatterMan4500: That user can be locked as a Username Policy violation alone. If all or most of the edits across multiple wikis are blatant vandalism, then it is a vandalism only account. I haven't assessed it yet on that latter basis, but definitely it meets the criteria for a bad faith Username Policy violation. Dmehus (talk) 00:10, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkMatterMan4500: So, yes, this is vandalism, but FaketyFackFackFack has made only one edit on one wiki, for which they are Yes check.svg locally blocked. So, I'm not seeing a need yet for global action by stewards or Global Sysops. If you believe the user is related to Spain is so strange, well, you would need to supply roughly 2-3 of the best diffs from that user's previous accounts, in order to justify a CheckUser. Please note this evidence cannot simply be generic, simple vandalism, such as page blanking, that is common amongst all vandalism only accounts. There has to be obvious behavioural evidence patterns which clearly show the user accounts are connected to the same person. Otherwise, for locking as a vandalism only account, the evidence needs to be occurring on more than one wiki, and it needs to be continuing whereby a lock mitigates further damage. Dmehus (talk) 16:44, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Minor point: This is a separate report of vandalism, so really should've been reported as a separate thread or, ideally, just reported on #miraheze-cvt connect on IRC or #cvt on Discord. No need to change it now, but just a point for the future. Dmehus (talk) 16:49, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Great, I have something I need to report to you guys on there DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 19:53, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Obvious vandalism-only account spotted on Best TV Shows Wiki

Mrkepo 2nd Account might also be an impersonation account out of Mrkepo, with evidence: Evidence #1 Evidence #2 Evidence #3 Evidence #4Evidence #5 Evidence #6 Evidence #7 Evidence #8 Evidence #9 Evidence #10 Evidence #11 Evidence #12 Evidence #13 Evidence #14 Evidence #15

Notice how this guy is acting like a vandalizing ruffian on all those edits that I gave the links to, and should be looked more into. Also, can you guys see if the Mrkepo account is related to the Mrkepo 2nd Account? I'm not exactly sure if they are the same or not. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 17:23, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: While I won't comment on whether the two users may be related based on their contributions, I will say I just deleted obvious vandalism by Mrkepo on Meta yesterday in fact. Dmehus (talk) 17:38, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: So they might be related? If so, they should be checked if the 2nd account in question is in fact being used by the same user. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 17:41, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DarkMatterMan4500: It's possible, yes, but I haven't examined the second account's contributions to see if that would be warranted. I just wanted to provide a comment on the first Mrkepo. It's possible, or even likely, they may both be vandalism only accounts, and one or both could be locked on that basis, making a CheckUser investigation moot and unnecessary. Dmehus (talk) 17:47, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: It's alright. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 17:48, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Have our wikis been closed?

Greetings, I noticed that multiple wikis like Crappy Games Wiki were closed. However I noticed there was no ManageWiki log. Was this a glitch or were they closed without a warning? Paprika (talk) 12:22, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Paprika: I told the Miraheze staff about the same issues. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 12:39, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
One of our wikis have now been re-opened. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:11, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Me too :(. Wiki like 자유반달위키 was blocked from editing and creating documents. ;( --거미몬 (talk) 12:35, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t know what happened. Jah99 (talk) 12:42, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you at least keep some of the wikis open such as Best TV Shows Wiki/Terrible TV Shows Wiki, Greatest Movies Wiki/Awful Movies Wiki, Awesome Games Wiki/Crappy Games Wiki? I’ll miss these wikis if you do close them down. (User:Jah99) 6:38, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

@Trevor807, Tuononnosedutoincarriola, LandonG, SharpnessKnight, DoubleD346, Lily-irl, 거미몬, Lily, and Jah99: Hi, your wiki has probally closed because we actually have a bug with something who close wiki with activity (Phab ticket: T6403). I will left a message to sysadmin for look about this
PS: Will cleanup all around for centralize discussion, thanks HeartsDo (Talk || Global || Wiki Creator) 12:49, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@HeartsDo: Thank you for clearing it all up. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 12:51, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Will you reopen them? Jah99 (talk) 13:11, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
They may need time to look into the bug before reopening to prevent it from happening again. Paprika (talk) 13:14, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed the same issue as well. Being a bureaucrat on Different History Wiki and the Larry Wiki, I unchecked the Delete box on Special:ManageWiki. Also, thanks. Trevor807 (talk) 12:59, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think @DeciduousWater534: can easily fix these issues as well. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 13:06, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

To @Geoshea, ChuckFan Media and GoYT, unfortunately Ficreation was closed, so I missed the wikis if you have to close down the site and I understand that I will do a good job at creating fanmade material. Duc4Wikmedia (talk) 13:16, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Duc4Wikmedia: It's actually due to a glitch. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 13:17, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Duc4Wikmedia i unticked the closed button on managewiki, so there's no need to cry, duc. kbos (talk) 13:51, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
We are aware of wikis still being closed in error. We are still in the process of investigating, and then working on a solution. In the mean time, go to Special:ManageWiki and uncheck the closed box, however, if you are unable to do, then contact a system administrator. Zppix (Meta | Sysadmin | talk to me) 14:09, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all! I've reopened the two wikis listed above. We think we've fixed the problem. Please let us know if you continue to have the issue. Paladox (talk) 14:09, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much @Paladox:. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:15, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The Awful Movies Wiki, Best TV Shows Wiki, Terrible TV Shows Wiki, amongst the other mainline reception wikis need to be re-opened as well. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:22, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please bring all the Miraheze wikis to make way for our upcoming pages

Hi, I'm Footsies, sorry to bother you, but i noticed that all of the Miraheze wikis got closed today for mundane reasons. Can you please bring back all of the Miraheze wikis so we can make way for our upcoming pages? Footsies (talk) 13:18, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Footsies: It's actually a glitch, as the logs didn't say that they were closed, nor did they even appear at all. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 13:20, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, but most of the wikis like Awful Movies Wiki, Terrible TV Shows Wiki, Crappy Games Wiki, Greatest Movies Wiki, and other wikis have been closed for very strange and mundane reasons. Can you please ask any steward or bureacat to bring back most of the wikis? Footsies (talk) 13:29, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Footsies: I wouldn't jump to conclusions. There hasn't been a single log stating it was closed. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 13:31, 16 November 2020 (UTC) I honestly don't know why Best TV Shows closed.[reply]
I honestly don't know why Best TV Shows closed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kekzuna (talkcontribs) 13:33, 16 November 2020 (UTC
@Footsies: As stated previously, it hasn't even been closed. There hasn't been any violations in any way, shape or form. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 13:37, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

nonciclopedia.org suddenly closed

Hi, today I noticed nonciclopedia.org wiki was suddenly closed, and I (and others) cannot edit any more. However, wiki was kinda active (even if there was not very much editing). Most recent change there is actually from 2 hours ago...--Sacro Riglionese Impero (talk) 14:33, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Gyaanipedia wikis suddenly closed

I'm Shaunak Chakraborty, the founder of Gyaanipedia. Today when I landed to its English site https://en.gyaanipedia.co.in I saw something unexpected, it was showing Closed Wiki box on its top[1], in my knowledge this box automatically appears when a wiki has been not edited for 60 days but this wiki is last edited few hours ago and the most active wiki in the Gyaanipedia projects. Then I found others Gyaanipedia wikis also which is hosted on Miraheze has been closed, which is totally weird. I immediately unchecked the closed box in every wiki and now my wikis are open. All these wikis has been last edited few hours or days ago. I just want to know that Is this a planned act or a mistake/bug. Please look at this case and kindly let me know that now my wikis are safe or now. There are a lots of hardwork of years in this wikis. Thanking you with due respect. Shaunak Chakraborty (talk) 14:40, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, we have encountered the same problem - wiki was marked as closed at 1400 CET today. It's resolved now by our admin. cyberlaw.miraheze.org Uncleistvan1BBB (talk) 15:18, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
