This noticeboard is only for requests that require Stewards', or, in a limited number of circumstances, Global Sysops' intervention. If in doubt, please try the Community noticeboard first, and you will be directed here if the matter requires a Steward.

On the Stewards' noticeboard, you can request...

  • ...a Steward or Global Sysop lock a spam only or vandalism only account. Note that for vandalism only accounts, the vandalism must meet the global standard definition for vandalism and to be a vandalism only account, there must be no or almost no constructive editing behaviour and, additionally, this behaviour should be occurring on multiple wikis
  • ...additional permissions on your wiki(s) that can only be granted by a Steward, such as local interwiki administrator following a successful election
  • ...a page requiring the bigdelete user right (more than 1,000 revisions) be deleted on your wiki
  • ...a Dormancy Policy exemption for your wiki

or report...

  • ...a Username Policy violation (whether in good-faith or bad faith)
  • ...a user suspected of abusing multiple accounts per the User accounts policy. You must link to specific revisions from both the suspected master and illegitimate alternate account(s)
  • ...systemic Code of Conduct problems occurring by one or more user(s) on one or more wiki(s) and/or systemic Content Policy violations on one or more wiki(s). In either case, your report must link to specific revisions and, in the latter case, your report must be both thorough and comprehensive

If you would like to request...

Investigate wikis

Hello Stewards, it seems that i finally decided to catch your attention due to wikis that are bringing up attention to trolls. TFD&HD and Atrocious Youtubers are getting attention from trolls and concerned users alike. Troll communities like Encyclopedia Dramatica made an article about Atrocious Youtubers wiki while mentioning Toxic Fandoms & Hatedoms, and here's some people ranting or explaining the violations on reception wikis. 1 is from the youtuber who said TFD&HD has been violating Fandoms/Wikia for flamebaiting/trollbaiting and 2 from the deviant who claims Miraheze is a terrible community which damaged the reputation of the Miraheze itself generally. --Zirukurt01 (talk) 04:34, 15 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please try logging in from another wiki (ex. meta). You should also report this issue on Phabricator so that our SRE team can fix it.--開拓者 (The Pioneer) (talk/contribs | global🌎) 17:10, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to adopt this wiki

https://crappysoftware.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page

Yes i know this wiki is still open however the only admin is inactive on Miraheze. Do i need to set up a poll? Just Amelia (talk) 11:28, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Just Amelia: Hi, yes you would need to have a poll/vote on the wiki and show that there is support for you to become administrator if there are other active users. Reception123 (talk) (C) 06:29, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CVT opt-out request

Opt-out of cvt action to s.miraheze.org

Reason: There is no consensus, but this wiki is private and only used for testing, so will not cause vandalism. Even if vandalism occurs, there is no major damage and there is no need to rush cleaning up.

Thanks, --そらたこ (talk) 17:19, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

User talk:Zirukurt01

@WickyHoney: takes an inappropriate (insolent) tone in the first post to this user page, also vaguely implying he speaks for Miraheze staff. It might not reflect poorly on the farm, as the user trolls him right back and the two seem to know each other, but it seems like another PlavorSeol situation. Spıke (talk)09:16 20-Mar-2020

Admins are aware of the situation and keeping a close eye. If it continues, we'll be looking at escalating warnings and action. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (on) 16:21, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have gone ahead and closed/blanked the discussion. I will leave a note at both users' talk pages. ~ RhinosF1 - (chat)· acc· c - (on) 16:26, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request to appoint new bureaucrat(s) in SideM Wiki

Hello there, as our only bureaucrat is no longer active and become unreachable, I want to request Mackenzietan and clay to be appointed as bureaucrats in SideM Wiki. Reason for choosing them is both of them are the admins that take care of the wiki during the inactive times. Thanks! (my user account there is here)

reopen didaprowiki

Hi all, I red that our wiki which was in standbye for team decision reasons could have been deleted, could you help to verify if I could reopen it and get back some works ? Here my last register https://didapro.miraheze.org/wiki/Accueil Thank you Philippe https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/User:Wikiderpdp

Horrible Music & Songs has only 1 admin and he's inactive

So, the wiki used to have admins, but all of them got demoted or just left and the only admin that's left is CHICHI7YT, and according to him, he is inactive. Leaving the wiki with no admins.

Can you all do something about this? Thanks. --Hendicted (talk) 17:33, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal Report

Good afternoon. All The Tropes just had a vandal using the handle User:AwYeah pop in and replace an unprotected image on our main page with a pornographic pic. We have of course banned him, but we're bringing him to the Stewards' attention for global banning on the grounds of a violation of Section 7 of the Miraheze Terms of Use. -- Looney Toons (talk) 20:49, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Locked for vandalism, but there is no evidence of a Terms of Use violation. John (talk) 21:33, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. -- Looney Toons (talk) 22:08, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you delete this inactive wiki?

So there is this wiki called horrid reception wiki where it is completely abandoned. The admins are inactive, nobody has edited anything and some of its other wikis are shut down completely. But there is this one user who is "contributing" to the wiki by just changing the names of the inactive users, and not creating pages or editng them. Not to mention that the wiki was very controversial and had a lot of flame wars and harassment. It's best to just delete the wiki. If its other wikis can be deleted, then so can this. Thank you.

The wiki: https://horridreceptionwikis.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page

Other wikis that were deleted, but were also in relations to the wiki: https://flawlessfandomusers.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page

                                                                      https://receptionflamewars.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page

The user who does nothing but changes the names of users: https://horridreceptionwikis.miraheze.org/wiki/User:%E9%96%8B%E6%8B%93%E8%80%85

The user you mentioned is actually a steward, he just changes usernames via request. Also username renaming works like this that if you visit a wiki and request a name change, it shows up on the log. --Hendicted (talk) 07:48, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

but can you delete the wiki? if not is there a way for me to adopt it? btw im not an admin of the wiki, but i want to adopt it

To make things clear. First of all, Stewards are not only meant to "just change usernames" they have a much broader role which you can read about on the page that I linked. Secondly, the wiki that you mention is neither closed nor marked as inactive due to the recent renames that you mention. Lastly, since the wiki is marked as private you would not be able to adopt it anyway per the Dormancy Policy. And in regards to deletion, that will only be done once the time defined in the Dormancy Policy has passed, or if the wiki community would request it. Database error; multiple wikis and accounts; unable to log in

I get the following error —

Database error
A database query error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software.
[hex code] 2020-03-29 TIME: Fatal exception of type "Wikimedia\Rdbms\DBQueryError"

— when I try to log into my private wikis, marwiki and nilamwikiubzx217c40wiki. Logging in has already failed many times over almost two hours for both of two Miraheze accounts I have, Drnslyng and Kualeyi522912. Both have at least the Administrator role on nilamwikiubzx217c40wiki and Drnslyng is at least an Administrator on marwiki. Unfortunately, I can't use Phabricator for this bug as I hadn't already linked an account to Phabricator and when I try to do so, the same error occurs.

Is there a way I can regain access? Thanks. — 138.75.123.25 03:48, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
