Requests for reopening wikis
Requests for reopening wikis You may request a closed wiki be reopened (if you are not a bureaucrat) if it was closed due to inactivity.
If you would additionally like advanced rights (administrator and/or bureaucrat), please start a local election instead. If you are already a bureaucrat on the wiki, go to Special:ManageWiki/core (on your wiki) and uncheck the "closed" box to reopen your wiki. Wikis that are set to private cannot be adopted due to privacy reasons! You must be a registered user to request a reopening. For other global issues, use the Stewards' noticeboard. |

pecan.miraheze.org
Status: Done
- Wiki: Pecan.miraheze.org (On wiki: ManageWiki (e, n, p, s) • ManageWiki log • Recent Changes - On Meta: Wiki request • ManageWiki/core)
- Username: Redhill (userrights)
- Are you a bureaucrat? (yes/no): no
- Reason: I am not the creator of this wiki but wish to be able to continue accessing it for the ability to learn this material.
- Redhill (talk) 04:04, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Redhill: Hi there. The wiki in question appears to have been
soft-deleted by Miraheze. This means that while the wiki isn't accessible to the public, the content and data stored has not been deleted yet. Please go to Stewards' noticeboard and submit a request for the wiki to be un-deleted under the Wiki (un)deletions tab. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am more than happy to assist where I can. BrandonWM (talk • contributions • global • rights) 05:20, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- @BrandonWM: your advice is inapplicable as the wiki has not been deleted. The title of the request was malformed and did not refer to an existing wiki. Aside from this, please do not redirect a soft-deletion as it can be trivially addressed here as well if it is the case.
- @Redhill:
open given your rationale. --Raidarr (talk) 14:21, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Raidarr: Ah, that might've been my error when looking then, I failed to notice the typo. On your second point, historical precedent has been to defer to SN, but if that's no longer the case, happy to adjust. BrandonWM (talk • contributions • global • rights) 14:44, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- There are a few cases where you've successfully redirected them mostly in January, but during that same period as well as after my return there are also examples of undeletion taking place here. Additionally undeletion taking place here is the standing precedent when looking back to last year and before (search "undelete" in archives 10-13 for this trajectory). Semantically the SN is the ideal first case but technically it is trivial to address in either location, and reducing paperwork for requestors (ie having them file in multiple places) is preferred in any case unless the location is absolutely incorrect - in which case you have the liberty to move the request outright ie, CN or a random mainspace discussion page to SN if it is suitable there. --Raidarr (talk) 16:09, 17 May 2023 (UTC)

tnotes.miraheze.org
Status: Done
- Wiki: tnotes.miraheze.org (On wiki: ManageWiki (e, n, p, s) • ManageWiki log • Recent Changes - On Meta: Wiki request • ManageWiki/core)
- Username: 小美粉粉 (userrights)
- Are you a bureaucrat? (yes/no): The answer is NO
- Reason: I am asking to reopen this wiki because I want to rescue this project, and I'm (for the moment), the only one working on it. I've edited here comparatively previously and would like to keep this wiki afloat. I already implemented a browser tutorial on that wiki. This is a really important site. There're still outdated pages and missing information that I'd like to add. I'll add more content and try updating it as much as I can, so I want to revive this wiki and keep this wiki active again and develop it so that it doesn't die out. Many thanks. As a result, I would like to re-open the wiki. Please process this request ASAP. Thank you for your answer!
