A message from our volunteers

Six years is a long time for a non-profit organisation to exist without a consistent and steady funding stream - like Miraheze. Our biggest task this year was moving the Miraheze IRC community from Freenode over to Libera Chat. We also welcomed User:Void to the technical (SRE) team. Unfortunately we have also had to say goodbye to User:John, User:Paladox, and User:Zppix. They were valuable members of the team, and their service was much appreciated.

Considering our software development progress, we have made some changes. We are currently developing a new extension, that will make removing personal information easier for the Trust and Safety team. We also upgraded our wikis to MediaWiki 1.36 - the latest version of the software that powers Wikipedia.

Looking to what we have planned for the next year, we have a focus to:

- Continue extension development.

- introduce machine learning technology to automate wiki creation

- allow users greater control of configuring their wikis

We are here for the long run and plan to commit to Miraheze indefinitely, the question is, are you?
