Hello,

I've opened this thread to discuss the actions of Znotch190711.

Firstly, this user has started a number of RfCs recently that they know are likely to fail and have been previously discussed varying from changes to the internal structure of Mirhaeze to CVT. Their latest RfC is a very long page with a number of proposals that even they themselves know are unlikely to pass and oppose.

I have also noticed that this user makes misleading comments as evidenced at their talk page where they claim to have not requested any wikis despite having done so and this discussion where they claim to have nominated me for sysop hypothetically and then deny this part way through which they refused to remove when I blanked it as I decided I did not want to be involved in this and are taking the mick about unaware WMF wiki users.

Proposal (A)
Znotch190711 is topic-banned from creating RfCs or proposing new options in RfCs.

Discussion
*I have no way to know user's intention in opening RfCs, such as that he knew they would be unsuccessful.  His initiatives are too bureaucracy-heavy and formal for my tastes, but I would not bar him from taking initiatives because of this difference in style.  I would not ask Miraheze users to conduct an open vote to disapprove of one of us.  <small>16:54 12-Jul-2019</small>

::Comment I think that the community should be allowed to vote on whether a user is wasting their time with such proposals. We are not Wikipedia, but I find that their community ban policy is sensible. *Comment I wonder how long s/he should be banned, if this succeeds. Is it a permaban, or a ban for a certain limited amount of time?-- 17:54, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

::In the way that the current proposal is formulated, it implies an indefinite ban which can only be lifted by another community vote on the matter. Reception123 (talk) (<font color="#FF0000"><b>C</b></font>) 18:01, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

:::OK. Thanks for your reply.-- 18:25, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

::::Comment Thinking about this and speaking with John, I have realized that as Proposal B, this proposal should also be made at Community noticeboard instead, as RfCs concern the global community and therefore decisions cannot be made on Meta. If this proposal were to pass, it would only affect RfCs that are for Meta only. Reception123 (talk) (<font color="#DC143C"><b>C</b></font>) 13:12, 16 July 2019 (UTC)

:::::I'm not sure - the decision will NOT affect RfCs created outside meta for sure, but all RfCs, including global ones, made on meta is technically activities on meta and thus meta can, at least, from a purely technical point of view, have a control on them.-- 13:52, 16 July 2019 (UTC)

#Oppose Spike did a very good job explaining why an external user should not have decisions on an non meta wiki. #weak While I find most of the recent RfCs going in vain, I don't think all of the proposals were worthless. Thus, I'd like to agree to a ban on creating new RfCs, but would like to disagree on restricting to create new proposals on ongoing topics started by others.-- 18:25, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

#Support RfC is a good way for the community to have their say but if you look on meta this user has created many useless discussions that had no point. For now we should not allow him to create them anymore but this can be changed later if they show better behavior. --DeeM28 (talk) 07:42, 14 July 2019 (UTC)

what’s going on in the mobile version

Excuse me. I went to Meta today and I have found out I can’t read pages on Mobile. If I’m on a page and reading it in mobile view, no test appears on the page. Somebody, please. This needs some serious EXPLAINING. •• Fair0002 • Bureaucrat and Administrator of Crazybloxian Empire Wiki 06:30, 18 July 2019 (UTC)

You're right. --Dark Dragoon (talk) 07:40, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
A task has been opened and we are looking into why this is happening. Thank you for pointing it out. Reception123 (talk) (C) 09:03, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
@Fair0002: @Dark Dragoon: I have identified the issue as coming from the Tweeki skin. The skin has now been temporarily disabled on Meta while we sort out the issue, so all pages now work on mobile. Reception123 (talk) (C) 18:50, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
@Reception123: Yey! Anyways, ████ you, Tweeki. You messed up the wiki. Anyways, learn alesson.

Inappropriate wiki.

Hello,

It has been brought to my attention that a section of your wiki site (https://truecapitalist.miraheze.org/wiki/Giant_Incident) you've hosted has been used to defame, and spread lies about myself. It was referring to me as a "pedophile", which is a false, and unsubstantiated accusation. It also solicits mine and other people's personal information with the intent to harass them. The main wiki page in reference is overall been used to organize, and document targeted harassment by individuals.

This page contains a youtube video that contains my own personal phone number multiple times: https://truecapitalist.miraheze.org/wiki/Saturday_Night_Show_Episode_21

The main individual in question who has been making the offending edits about myself has a profile that can be found here: https://truecapitalist.miraheze.org/wiki/User:Cans_Abusing_Meme_Magician

I would like to ask for assistance in preventing my personal information to be released as well as removing content making serious false allegations. I feel that the main wiki where this is taking place is not doing anything productive or informative, and by nature is entirely nefarious.

Thank you,

https://truecapitalist.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheGiantOne (talkcontribs)

I've deleted anywhere I could find that hinted at the person in question being a pedophile, as I'm pretty sure that constitutes libel. At least until the author of the post attempts to dispute it or anything. -- Cheers, NDKilla ( TalkContribs ) 04:26, 30 July 2019 (UTC)

Please, I would like to translate to Portuguese (PT-br).

Please, I would like to help to translate to Portuguese (PT-br). GabrielMacedo (talk) 17:16, 31 July 2019 (UTC)

Yes check.svg Done, you can now translate. -- Void Whispers 19:38, 31 July 2019 (UTC)

Continued Issues With Inappropriate Wiki

Thank you for removing the bulk of the libelous content, but unfortunately I was made aware of similar content on the same wiki (https://truecapitalist.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page) making allegations that are untrue:

https://truecapitalist.miraheze.org/wiki/Jackler on the bottom paragraph it refers to myself as a "pedophile" an extremely false statement. This is abusive behavior, and defamation toward myself made by this wiki, which seems to be premised on articles meant to insult and harass individuals they've targeted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheGiant1 (talkcontribs)

Mailling list

Is there a mailing list for Miraheze, if yes, where to subscribe? Greetings, Manuela (talk) 03:17, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

There's not one yet, but there may be one in the works soon. Check out phab:T4536 for more details. -- Void Whispers 03:24, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
