What's happening with Labster and the finance pace?

Everyone else's does, though. This must be a bug or something.

I know I tried deleting my avatar and reuploading/changing it again, but it's still blank in the comments.

I hope there is one way to fix it. One way or another...

Cannot create new page from search

Normally to create a MediaWiki page, you can simply search for the article in your search box. If the page is not found, MediaWiki will prompt you to create the page. However, on my wiki, I am not prompted to create a new page. I can create a new page if I create a link of a word that does not have a page, but I don't get the link to create a new page from searching a page that does not exist. How to transclude one wiki in another?

I have a Miraheze wiki about synth DIY but I want it to include something about electronic theory. That subject is of wider interest than to just synth DIY. So if I have another Miraheze wiki solely about elementary electronic theory, how can I get the pages of that wiki to be included in the synth DIY and/or other wikis, (except perhaps for Main Page)? --Rob Kam (talk) 11:01, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

You can have the wiki which you want to include on other wikis added to the interwiki list with the interwiki transclusion option enabled. This will require that the setting Enable scary transclusion (under Special:ManageWiki/settings) is enabled, and that the new interwiki prefix has transclusion enabled. -- Void Whispers 17:59, 3 January 2020 (UTC)

I believe it should work the same way as standard controls, such as the tags <noinclude></noinclude> and <onlyinclude></onlyinclude>. -- Void Whispers 17:36, 12 January 2020 (UTC)

Community Directors


I have now closed Community Directors/Election Commission/2019 Election/Vote with a no consensus for any candidate as not enough people voted. Despite 20 users casting votes, they did not all vote for a candidate so more users would have been needed for any single candidate to pass. I'd like to open a thread to determine what the community would like to do next.

Please consider the below options. This is not a formal RfC but will precede one. Dependant on responses, I will book a Miraheze Meetings slot on 21st January to discuss this as well.

  • Should the community lower or remove the minimum number of voters requirement?
  • Is the community in a position to elect Directors at this time?
  • Is an election commission needed?
  • Should voting limits be changed for Directors as well?
  • What about other advanced roles?

I would definitely disagree with removing a minimum number for both directors and commissioners, as we must guarantee that many members of the community agree with the proposals. I have to argue that, at least for the first year, the Miraheze community is not in a condition to vote for directors. As it appears, a lot of this information has just been sprung on several people, who do not fully understand what it means for Miraheze to be owned by an independently acting corporation. For the sake of smooth establishment of Miraheze Ltd. and to give time for the community to adjust to these changes, I would support holding off on any sort of election outside of the typical Miraheze everyday functions (e.g. stewards, dev, RfXs, and the like). dross (tcg) 01:49, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

My account was being renamed but it stopped getting upgraded 3/4 of the way

I renamed myself from AnimalLovingGuy to ScrewSociety, but since it updated my name on each wiki in alphabetical order by the wiki's name, it stopped at Reception Flame Wars Wiki because the wiki closed down. As a result I lost access to my account a few days ago, and I really want to get it back. Can you please help me?

How can I become an autoconfirmed user?

(this was copied and pasted) I made an account on Miraheze a year ago. On Atrocious Youtubers Wiki, I am still not an autoconfirmed user and it pisses me off. It says I need 10 edits yet I'm not allowed to edit anything on that wiki. Can someone please help me?

"Exception" error

Hello, and thank you again for your beautiful work!

My wiki is working well, but I have a problem when a new user has to set a new password at first access. The password input works, but after that I see a page which says (italian version):

Errore interno [6ed00020e037182f9468e092] 2020-01-16 10:55:53: Errore irreversibile di tipo "Exception"

Is it possible to fix it? (the best thing should be redirecting the user to a news page, like "Your account is ready, welcome and begin navigatioN"...

How do I change the style of mobile Infoboxes to that of Wikipedia?

I did try that, however it looks different. Is it theme-related possibly? What am I missing? Could I maybe have the mobile theme on my wiki changed? Why do you need an Interwiki from Simple Electronics to Simple Electronics? NewUserMessage Signature

I recently added the NewUserMessage extension to my wiki. Unfortunately, it always includes a signature below the template, like so:

Please help to undo some text weirdness on template wiki

Somehow templatewiki has a navbar defacing Recent changes and maybe other pages. I can't figure out how to remove it. Please could a steward fix this. --Rob Kam (talk) 15:28, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

@Rob Kam: I can't seem to reproduce this issue. Could you please either provide a screenshot or tell us what browser (and version) you are using? Also for future reference please note that Stewards do not deal with such technical issues so Community noticeboard would be a better place for this type of request in the future. @Rob Kam: Yes. It was me. But problem is, first time when I edited this page, there was no interface admin program on any wiki. But NOW (and obviously when i tried to edit second time) this is here. So that, nobody can't be able to change special pages (like Mediawiki or css) without Interface Admin, Bureaucrat or Steward right. Also needs fixing that when I edit my sandbox I get a message "Content that violates any copyrights will be deleted. Encyclopedic content must be verifiable. Work submitted to Wikipedia can be edited, used, and redistributed—by anyone—subject to certain terms and conditions." and a couple of redlinks "Group notice" and "Page notice". How do I get rid of this?

Help needed trying to get transcluded templates to function.

If for example say on modularwiki I do {{raw:templatewiki:Cite book}}, I get Script error: No such module "citation/CS1". because instead of including it with the transclusion, it's looking for the module on modularwiki. So then I try to also separately transclude the module with {{raw:templatewiki:Module:Citation/CS1}} I get Error: Lua error at line 1: unexpected symbol near '{'. I could import all the Lua modules that get errored about into modularwiki as required, but when importing there's an option "Include templates" which kind of defeats the point of transcluding templates.

How do I get templates that use Lua modules to transclude from templatewiki to other wikis!? --Rob Kam (talk) 13:50, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
