It seems you have an inactive wiki

Hello! I'm Tali64³, the founder of the Save the Inactive Wikis coalition. It appears that you have an inactive wiki. I've made a couple to edits to attempt to remove the inactive notice, but in the future, please contribute to your wikis. Thanks! Tali64³ (talk) 03:57, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

User conduct unbecoming of a patroller

Hi Bukkit,

Following this report at stewards' noticeboard related to your engaging in unexplained blatant vandalism on terribletvshowswiki by Marxo Grouch at stewards' noticeboard, I would like to ask you two things:

  1. Did you make this edit?
  2. Assuming that you did, and, while somewhat atypical, there was also the case involving your Bukkity alternate account, can you explain why you made this edit?

In any case, after conferring with Agent Isai, a fellow Meta patroller, I'm going to revoke your patroller bit for an indefinite period of time, as Meta patrollers are supposed to be very trusted users, and this is represents conduct unbecoming of a Meta patroller. I would recommend you establish a long enough timeframe before requesting rights (local or global) on Meta Wiki.

Cheers,
Dmehus (talk) 00:47, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Related to the above, in my Steward capacity, I believe that your level of trustworthiness is sufficient so as to warrant revocation of your global IP block exemption. Additionally, as per your general agreement that it could be revoked for any reason and/or later replaced with a local Meta Wiki IP block exemption, as a Meta administrator, I've now Yes check.svg replaced the Steward-removed global IP block exemption with a Meta IP block exemption, believing that it should still be okay to allow you to edit through Tor on Meta Wiki. Any other Meta administrator, however, is free to revoke this permission later, should they feel it is warranted. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 01:10, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Yes, indeed I did make that edit, and I regret it.
  2. I don't know, honestly. I believe it is because it was a show I enjoyed as a child, and still enjoy, but that isn't an excuse to the vandalism.
I agree with YellowFrogger, I'm a relatively communicative person, and this seems to be quite odd. -- Cheers, Bukkit ( TalkAll Contribs ) 01:28, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Vandalizing wikis is a pretty serious thing, being communicative unfortunately won't make you trustworthy again to others, although I do support that people deserve a second chance. You should have restrained not to vandalize the wiki within the policy just because you didn't agree with it --YellowFrogger (Talk) 01:33, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I also agree that these reception wikis are often boring, but you should hold back (as I did) to avoid doing that. --YellowFrogger (Talk) 01:34, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Bukkit, thank you for your response, and for your honesty. I believed this to be the case, but would've been neglectful to not ask question #1 in cases of potentially compromised accounts. Nevertheless, because of your honesty and general agreement with the above, I think we can now consider the matter Yes check.svg closed and resolved. Please do be cautious going forward. Final warning regarding duplicitous abuse of multiple accounts

Hi Bukkit,

Regrettably, I've had to Yes check.svg lock your undisclosed alternate account, 29TB. The behavioural evidence was particularly compelling, with your requesting an IP block exemption. Indeed, this very act of doing so, with or without identifying Bukkit as your master account was a serious breach of user accounts policy. However, you even agreed that only your main account, being Bukkit, shall request an IP block exemption of some sort. Given 29TB also repeated the same same pattern of editing in violation of Bukkit's local block, I contemplated locking your main account, but that seems a bit bureaucratic to require you to appeal and place you under a global user restriction.

Accordingly, you are now Yes check.svg indefinitely globally restricted from/to:

  1. Creating alternate accounts logged out. Any alternate accounts must be created while logged in to your main account, ideally on Meta Wiki; and,
  2. Using open proxies/VPNs/Tor on Miraheze, without prior consent from Stewards

As an aside, perhaps most troublingly, as 29TB, you apparently expressed interest in becoming an SRE MediaWiki Engineer volunteer, something you also expressed interest in as Bukkit. This lack of forthright disclosure for the most trusted role on Miraheze is particularly troubling.

Thanks,
Dmehus (talk) 20:08, 30 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
