:::GamingNerdMiraheze Unless you are a <code>member</code> or <code>sysop</code> on that wiki, you won't be able to view pages, no. In theory, when a wiki is locked and made private by a steward, the idea is that the wiki's local bureaucrats would remove and remediate all problematic content, after which a steward would need to review the remediation and reassess the wiki to see whether it now adheres to Content Policy. In reality, though, there was arguably little, if any, content that could otherwise be remediated and salvaged. So, in all likelihood, it'd end up as a wiki with no content pages. Moreover, this wiki's whole purpose arguably contravenes Content Policy in that its sole purpose is to trash talk a certain subset of so-called Reception wikis hosted by Miraheze and Fandoms. That in and of itself wouldn't necessarily be a problem on its own, but the problem becomes a major Content Policy issue when said negative content is written about users. Finally, since and before this wiki's closure, other wikis around which this wiki's negative content revolved have also been closed. So, this is, for better or for worse (for better in my view), this wiki will just cease to exist per Dormancy Policy. Hope this helps. == Import failed: No interwiki prefix was supplied ==
Hi, I am new to this wiki farm. I wanted to import some content from a XML exported from a MediaWiki managed elsewhere. But the import failed because No interwiki prefix was supplied. I have no idea what an interwiki prefix is. Help welcome. Gerdami (talk) 16:04, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

This noticeboard is only for requests that require Stewards', or, in a limited number of circumstances, Global Sysops' intervention. If in doubt, please try the Community noticeboard first, and you will be directed here if the matter requires a Steward.

On the Stewards' noticeboard, you can request...

 • ...a Steward or Global Sysop lock a spam only or vandalism only account. Note that for vandalism only accounts, the vandalism must meet the global standard definition for vandalism and to be a vandalism only account, there must be no or almost no constructive editing behaviour and, additionally, this behaviour should be occurring on multiple wikis
 • ...additional permissions on your wiki(s) that can only be granted by a Steward, such as local interwiki administrator following a successful election
 • ...a page requiring the bigdelete user right (more than 1,000 revisions) be deleted on your wiki
 • ...a Dormancy Policy exemption for your wiki

or report...

 • ...a Username Policy violation (whether in good-faith or bad faith)
 • ...a user suspected of abusing multiple accounts per the User accounts policy. You must link to specific revisions from both the suspected master and illegitimate alternate account(s)
 • ...systemic Code of Conduct problems occurring by one or more user(s) on one or more wiki(s) and/or systemic Content Policy violations on one or more wiki(s). In either case, your report must link to specific revisions and, in the latter case, your report must be both thorough and comprehensive

If you would like to request...

Close this wiki

A Nazi wiki, well it has no content yet, but as the wiki's name says and welcome page says it wants to promote Nazism.

Close it before its being used for those things. OPMAN (talk) 12:59, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@OPMAN: Miraheze values freedom of speech and diversity of views. Unless there are serious violations of the Code of Conduct or Content Policy, a wiki promoting a political ideology, regardless of how extreme, is highly unlikely to be shut down. In short, if you see those serious violations, you must link to each violation directly, preferably in a list format, in order for a steward to investigate. Dmehus (talk) 13:57, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Disgusted and disappointed and here I thought the term "hate speech" in Content Policy actually meant something. OPMAN (talk) 14:46, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@OPMAN: "Hate speech" does "mean something." What I'm saying is, unless you can show, directly, specific examples of threats or egregious, hateful speech towards a group of people or individual persons, then there's little stewards can do. There's nothing in Content Policy that prevents informational, or even avocational wikis, discussing or criticizing one or more political ideologies (which include Nazi socialism, fascism, anarchism, and similar). Hope that makes sense. Dmehus (talk) 15:00, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In my view, as long as it is a historical wiki and is solely there for documenting facts and remains neutral, there should not be any issues. But if it makes certain claims against specific groups of people or such, in that case that should be investigated. Please let us know if there are specific instances of that. Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:33, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Reception123: Why limit it to historical, though? I think the key is neutrality, and the views being advocated. That is, a Nazism wiki that advocates hateful acts against one or more groups of people would not be okay whereas an informational wiki outlining the broad strokes ideologies, current or historical, in a compare and contrast-type format would probably be okay. It's really context specific, but yes, in any case, the requestor's report does not meet the requirements for an investigation. Dmehus (talk) 15:39, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, my main issue is for it to advocate hateful acts, or perhaps call groups of people "inferior" to others, which would be discrimination. I would like to point out a previous discussion on this matter that is about a similar topic. Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:40, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@OPMAN: Christ dude, you really want to get my empty wiki banned based on the Main Page? - National Socialist Friendo (talk) 16:40, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to be BOLD here and say this won't be done. Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 16:47, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, gratefully, National Socialist Friendo (talk) 18:47, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@National Socialist Friendo: Yeah I do and I still stand by that and why don't you just change your name to "Nazi Friendo" and Dmehus says "Nazi socialism, fascism, anarchism, and similar", what? In what way anarchism is similar to other two, makes no sense and yeah historical wikis are ok, Wikia has a Nazi wiki but as Reception123 said, that wiki documents historical stuff, but what I saw on the main page at that time in this wiki, It was not about historical things, It stated It wants to promote the Nazi movement and beliefs of Nazism, which basically means it wants to promote Nazism, If you actually know what it is, you will know that comes under "hate speech" in Content Policy, I just hope miraheze doesn't become some kinda cesspool in the name of so called "freedom of speech" or "neutrality". Login is not working

I can't login in my wiki

Sorry, but without login I can't add any screenshot for illustration of my problem.

Also I can't change laguage for you? this is only russian:

"Похоже, возникли проблемы с текущим сеансом работы; это действие было отменено в целях предотвращения «захвата сеанса». Пожалуйста, переотправьте форму."

It's very important for me by closed wiki.

I have this board in all pages:

"This wiki has no edits or logs made within the last 45 days, therefore it is marked as inactive. If you would like to prevent this wiki from being closed, please start showing signs of activity here. If there are no signs of this wiki being used within the next 15 days, this wiki may be closed per the Dormancy Policy. This wiki will then be eligible for adoption by another user. If not adopted and still inactive 135 days from now, this wiki will become eligible for deletion. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with Miraheze's Dormancy Policy. If there is activity on this wiki you can go to Special:ManageWiki and uncheck "inactive" yourself. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask at Stewards' noticeboard."

What can I do in this terrible situation?..

thanks in advance for your help! — Preceding unsigned comment added by IP editor (talkcontribs) 18:52, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Mekhanizm: Unfortunately, I'm not able to assist you further. Do you have a registered e-mail account associated to your Mekhanizm global account? If so, I'd suggest resetting your password, and see if that works, as I'm not seeing any problems in your CentralAuth. If that doesn't work, please contact tech(at) to find out alternative way(s) of verifying you and resetting your password. Thanks.

Checkuser request on suspected accounts

Hi, I'd like to request for checkuser on suspected accounts on Unfavorable Wikis and Users Wiki. They are:

Most people said that Inkster is the owner of this account. People said that he showed up (As he joined in September 7, 2020) just days after Inkster started getting blocked around several wikis probably just a coincidence. Because of this Thorn Ice was accused as a sockpuppet use by Inkster. Thanks. User:FireBarrier101/sig 09:15, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

The user(s) in question have been Yes check.svg locked by NDKilla. Dmehus (talk) 04:19, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is a user who is a admin that is doxxing a user's face on Unfavorable Wikis and Users Wiki on Miraheze

So this page which is made by Caulipower contains a Google Drive folder, that has a image of the user's face (which he hacked his webcam to get) and posted it there. His parents also tried to tell him to remove it, but he refused to (since he hated that user so much) and he wants the user to get doxxed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by OldieSchool (talkcontribs) 12:54, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, you aren't fooling anyone Willg. Second of all, Caulipower did not "hack your webcam" and doesn't know how to hack people. Finally, while the drive shouldn't contain a picture of your face for privacy reasons, it is obvious that it was already made public before and therefore does not fit the definition of doxxing. Can a steward please lock this account for ban evasion and spreading more false information? Paprika (talk) 13:18, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You literally never learned from your mistakes did you, Willg? SpazJR61 (talk) 13:42, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Doesn't help that this was once on your Patreon, huh Willg?[1] - LightCorp 6:15, 18 September 2020 (UTC) (I'd post my link things here but I have no idea how to do so)
Nope, our son's account was hyjacked by a hacker by OldieSchool (talkcontribs) 12:54, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

These wikis are harassing, bullying, and doxxing innocent users

These wikis to be precise Atrocious YouTubers Wiki, Horrible Vyonders Wiki, and Unfavorable Wikis and Users Wiki.

They are harassing users, and they hate SJWs. We need them banned ASAP. - D-Mob — Preceding unsigned comment added by D Mob (talkcontribs) 18:54, 18 September 2020‎ (UTC)[reply]

wheres the proof of them harassing users? and is "They hate SJWs" really a bad thing? ScratchCoder (talk) 18:59, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I believe many of the pages have a bunch of biased stuff, just look at most of them, this is why people work with Crappy Games Wikia more since it's a game reviewing wiki... - Machoke — Preceding unsigned comment added by Machoke (talkcontribs) 19:02, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Innocent? You (willg8686, Kadabra) have been harassing users for around 3 years now! - LightCorp — Preceding unsigned comment added by LightCorp (talkcontribs) 20:04, 18 September 2020‎ (UTC)
I find it very weird that both D Mob and Machokes accounts are both less then one day old (Machokes account being less then a hour and ten minutes old by the time I'm writing this) and some information I found makes me think that your a sock of a user who has a page on Unfavorable Users and Wikis Wiki. ScratchCoder (talk) 20:07, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@ScratchCoder: How, though? You got any proof? User:FireBarrier101/sig 20:55, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I saw from the global account manager with says how old a account is. ScratchCoder (talk) 21:04, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I use that “List Users” function that’s in every Miraheze to figure out when an account was created. - LightCorp — Preceding unsigned comment added by LightCorp (talkcontribs) 21:07, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Resignation of my Wiki Creators

Please revoke away my Wiki Creators right, as nowadays I've no much active time online to be a volunteer due to my live job. It will be preferable for other active users to be eligible Wiki Creators, thanks. SA 13 Bro (talk) 03:08, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@SA 13 Bro: Thank you for your service as a wiki creator over the years. Should your circumstances change, please don't hesitate to reapply. I will notify a steward of your request. Dmehus (talk) 03:11, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please globally lock OfficialACYT?

He vandalized the The Secret Life of Pets 2 page on Awful Movies Wiki multiple times and it contained the n-word. Here's proof (warning you may find it offensive) - ACoolBlaze5 (talk) 12:03, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The user has been Yes check.svg locked by Reception123 as a vandalism only account and because said vandalism occurred on multiple wikis. Please note that vandalism occurring on only a single wiki can generally be handled with a local block. Hope that clarifies. Dmehus (talk) 13:51, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, but since I'm not an admin on said wiki, and that most of (if not, all) the admins on said wiki live in the United States (timezones), I cannot do much but inform the stewards. - ACoolBlaze5 (talk) 15:02, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please lock PsychoticClown

This guy has been saying some rather messed up stuff like that there should be more terrorist attacks. Not only that, but that counts as a threat. Here's evidence of him saying it:

Oh, and also, look at some of his activities on various wikis:

This guy has been praising deaths of other people, regardless of what category they belong to, and even said that if someone dies, he would celebrate their deaths.

The illogicalpedia was abandoned by its administrators and there is little activity. --Anthony8IA (talk) 14:03, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Anthony8IA: Well, you can read Dormancy Policy as that may apply to your question. However, I'm not sure what your question is. Are you wanting to adopt the wiki, or otherwise hold a local election on the wiki with inactive administrators? Either of these may be possible, depending on the current wiki's status, and the circumstances that gave rise to that status. Dmehus (talk) 14:26, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I would like to adopt the wiki. --Anthony8IA (talk) 14:31, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Anthony8IA: Okay, thanks. That's helpful. Looking in Special:ManageWiki, I see that wiki is not closed, so it cannot be adopted. I do see the wiki's sole bureaucrat has not edited in more than six months or more, yes, so you have a couple options here. One, you could go to this special page on the wiki to connect with that bureaucrat's user page and then use the Special:EmailUser function (if available) to see if they will appoint you as a bureaucrat and administrator on the wiki. Alternatively, ideally if they don't reply or you cannot use that function, you can hold a local election in a prominent page on the wiki, naming yourself as the candidate for local bureaucrat. If the wiki has local policies governing bureaucrat selection or election, you must follow them, and should link to that page in your local election. If they have no local policies governing role elections or selections, then, typically, you should establish those rules on your request for appointment or election page and, as a recommended guideline, should follow the global customs and conventions that we use (typically, a candidate's request is open for at least seven calendar days, the number of position(s) open for election or appointment is specified, the number of candidates running is also specified, and the required minimum support ratio is specified). Since the wiki is notionally not an active wiki, you should specify what happens if no one expresses a view after the minimum election timeframe you or the local wiki specifies (i.e., if it will be considered successful or unsuccessful). Once your local process has concluded, come back to stewards' noticeboard and, in a new thread, link to both your local election page (using the MirahezeMagic interwiki wikilink format I used in this reply) and any of the wiki's relevant guidelines or policies, and a steward will assess your process and grant rights in absence of an active local bureaucrat on the wiki. These accounts go by the following: EliasD, EliasTheVyonder2001, Elias D The Vyonder, ItsElias, EliasTheVyonder2002, EliasTheVyonder2002 Returns, EliasD Alt, and EliasAnimate2020: They are all accounts made by a troll just to harass people and send threatening messages to them. Here's some evidence that proves that these Elias D accounts were made to harass and threaten other users. (Be warned, some might be disturbing, while others are just laughable in general):

Oh sorry, I'm not really used to the signing system, anyways does those wikis violate TOS on here? ~~~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by SmackDownVSRaw (talkcontribs) 18:47, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That's okay, but in that case, you clicked the "nowiki" button instead of the signature button, which nullifies your signature. Dmehus (talk) 18:50, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@SmackDownVSRaw: While I'm not a steward, my best advice regarding those wikis is to review every page, taking care to remove unsourced information that is wholly negative, derogatory, or denigrating about users. In addition, I also recommend reviewing your Special:BlockList and unblocking or unblocking and reblocking users with cleaner, non-derogatory or harassing block summaries. Dmehus (talk) 18:48, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I believe I am not a admin on those wikis, and quality control on those wikis lack valid proof, and they have harassing block reasons. Please check those wikis with the stewards. SmackDownVSRaw (talkcontribs) 2:50, 21 September 2020 (EDT)
Is the admins starting to check on those wikis? SmackDownVSRaw (talkcontribs) 3:00, 21 September 2020 (EDT)

@DarkMatterMan4500: As I said elsewhere, you need to supply diffs to specific revisions showing the behavioural evidence. Stewards will not do this investigating for you. Also, can you check your signature in Special:Preferences? I believe it's inserting a <br /> that is breaking talk page style conventions. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 18:54, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkMatterMan4500: Okay, but I note you've unstruck Silly Guy's Special:Contributions link, but that external link is not, as far as I'm aware, a Miraheze wiki. Dmehus (talk) 19:01, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Man who turned Evil: It was no specific page or even several page(s). If it were just that, the pages would've been deleted, and the local administrators told why. The problem with that wiki, as with the others, was a systemic issue, with sustained and persistent Content Policy violations. As well, the local administrators themselves committed sustained and continuous Code of Conduct with their egregious block and edit summaries. Dmehus (talk) 13:27, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I remember browsing block logs and I know there were some mean-spirited summaries why guilty users of that wiki were blocked. Now I get it!- Man who turned Evil (talk) 22:29, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Does the other wikis fall under the violation of Code of Conduct?

These wikis to be precise

Wikis that show the worst users/things: Crappy Games Wiki (Some pages harass some developers), Terrible TV Shows Wiki (Some pages harass certain animators), Awful Movies Wiki, and Rotten Websites Wiki

Wikis that show the best users/things: Awesome Games Wiki, Best TV Shows Wiki, Marvelous Vyonders Wiki, and Amazing YouTubers Wiki — Preceding unsigned comment added by Machop (talkcontribs) 14:02, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Machop: Those wikis, I would say, from what I have seen, do have some Code of Conduct issues, particularly in and around their administrators' block and edit summaries. As well, at times, the edit summaries by administrators and users are not appropriate. In terms of content, they are generally better than the user-focused Reception wikis, but they are by no means blameless. If you see blatant Code of Conduct or Content Policy issues on these wikis, you should either report them to stewards and Global Sysops on Discord/IRC, on this noticeboard, or via e-mail to stewards(at) Regardless of your reporting channel, you should always link to specific revisions of pages or log actions that are particularly egregious.

Can you PLEASE close down Horrible Music and Songs Wiki? (Please, notice this stewards)

The one on FANDOM caused a lot of drama, and the recreated version on Miraheze could potentially break the rules here and catch drama as well. Besides, you guys don't want these kinds of wikis to be ruining the site, right? So could you please close down the wiki? @John: @Void: I think it could be violating the Terms of Use or Content Policy. - (talk) 19:57, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply] We can't delete wikis just because the other one that's similar to the on Miraheze is worse, plus i don't really think it breaks any notable policies i can think of. OpenRISC (talk) 16:15, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@OpenRISC What I noticed, though, is that this wiki talks about a lot of singers, and singers are people, so this wiki could technically be seen as a place to encourage hate on singers, who are real-life people. So doesn't that break one of the rules on here? - (talk) 18:23, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
They have the right to make a wiki about that topic if they wish, Making Wiki's about hate on singers does not break terms of use or code of conduct therefore unless the wiki is breaking terms of use or code of conduct nothing we can do about it i would suggest not interacting/or editing the wiki if you do not Like the wiki (: — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cocopuff2018 (talkcontribs) 13:21, 24 September 2020
First of all, I would like to note that while some Reception wikis were recently closed due to Content Policy violations, that does not mean that every one of those wikis are problematic and must be automatically closed. The title of the wiki could indicate that its purpose is to criticize and/or discuss songs. I would like to remind that the Content Policy only applies to "unsubstantiated insult, hate or rumours against a person or group of people". If you however do think that this is the case for this wiki, please do provide specific examples of pages in order for them to be investigated. Unless specific evidence is provided there is no case to close this wiki. Reception123 (talk) (C) 13:34, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think that this revision of this page would be an example of unsubstantiated hate on Doja Cat. Before the current revision, it gave stupid reasons with little to no evidence about why she is a bad singer, like in this revision, for example. - (talk) 15:10, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Stewards can't close a wiki because of the fandom version causing drama. As stated it can only be closed if its been founded to break any notable policy Codeingit (talk) 14:11, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Gabngst: While it is not possible to delete accounts, you can request your personal information be removed from your user account and your account be renamed; however, this is not within stewards' purview. Local CheckUser and Oversight

I want to do CheckUser and Oversight in my wiki, gomdoliwiki. What should I do? --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 00:24, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Gomdoli4696: This is a good-faith question, and a somewhat frequent one of new Mirahezians. Unfortunately, because CheckUser and Oversight provide for access to privileged information, the tools are, unfortunately, not used by anyone other than stewards. System administrators can use the tools, but only in very limited circumstances, mainly relating to Miraheze Terms of Use enforcement. If you believe a user is contravening user accounts policy, you can supply diffs and other behavioural evidence in a report on this noticeboard or via e-mail to stewards(at) In terms of the latter, generally, requests for suppression should follow the Oversight global guidelines and policy; however, stewards may consider other requests for suppressing revisions, with a well articulated reason. Requests for suppressing revisions should never be made on-wiki, and instead e-mailed to stewards(at) Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 01:21, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is obviously not a very nice thing to do but it is no where near to be a "lockable offense". If you feel that they may be someone who is abusing multiple accounts and you have indications of this please let us know, but an account will not be locked for simply saying one not very nice thing to someone, which I wouldn't even consider to be an insult really. For this case, I feel that a local block is sufficient to cease the trolling/insulting comments (the one regarding the harassing). Reception123 (talk) (C) 10:52, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Reception123:, to my words on Rabbet hoal, he's actually a Konstantinodinokov55 alt. He's been attacking Necropolis on other Discord servers and even stalks on him when he comes to various Discord servers. --Hookuai (Talk to Nuclear Jaws) 05:44, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hookuai: Responding to your message, I would just note that if someone is contravening the Code of Conduct on Discord and/or IRC, that doesn't necessarily translate into sanctions on-wiki. Any warnings, sanctions, and the like should be appropriate and relevant to the channel(s) where the policy violations are potentially occurring. Hope that helps. Please close

Hello, I would like to request that be deleted. I no longer want the wiki project and I can confirm I am/was the only bureaucrat there as well as active user. Thank you. Hypercane (talk) 23:46, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please lock New XanderMartin98

If you were to look at this, you're gonna find out that this guy has a history of bringing his inappropriate behavior onto the All The Tropes Wiki. Also, this guy has been abusing multiple accounts according to this block reason: "Abusing multiple accounts AND Inserting false information or nonsense/gibberish into pages: Dug up info man is an unrepentant troublemaker dragging his perversions and rule breaking way here. See this for more info:" DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 10:47, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkMatterMan4500: Do you have links to the user's Miraheze on-wiki behaviour? We can only consider evidence present on Miraheze wikis, as well as Miraheze Discord and IRC servers in the course of potential next steps. As well, such problematic behaviour would need to be substantial and significant and not just occasional problems—that is a generally constructive contributor who occasionally causes problems may warrant a local block(s) or some sort of other sanctions. In terms of global locking, as @Reception123: and I have stated on this noticeboard and elsewhere, global locks are principally used for vandalism only accounts or single purpose trolling accounts where there is zero or almost no constructive contributions, spam only accounts, Username Policy violations, or for contraventions of either user accounts policy where the user showed problems of revisiting existing wikis where blocked and causing similar problems. Even if those problems are present, the user would need to be causing problems on two (three is better) or more wikis. As well, to that I would just add that my personal preference is where those two wikis are under the same shared local administration and bureaucrats as the first wiki, a local block may still be all that's needed. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 12:50, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: This should be useful: DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 12:55, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DarkMatterMan4500: Thank you for the on-wiki link, but I would just note that user is Yes check.svg locally blocked, and the account you've reported, XanderMartin98, doesn't exist on that wiki, so there's no user accounts policy violation. It is fine if a user attempts a clean start with a different account and does not revisit the same wikis where they were locally blocked. As well, when reporting users who are not single-purpose vandalism only or spam only accounts, a personal best practice I recommend is to ping them to your report, as part of good due process. You can see the example in the ping I've added to the section header for you. Dmehus (talk) 13:07, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DarkMatterMan4500: Actually, upon looking into this further, the user you've reported, XanderMartin98, does not exist globally, and the referenced user is only locally blocked on All The Tropes wiki and your Crappy Games Wiki, to which the user has never contributed. Unless you have a second account showing where the user has visited both of those wikis and caused problems, this looks to be Yes check.svg locally handled. Global ban evading user

I found out that a user is evading a global ban:

The links added above show revisions where he admitted to be locked. You may also need check the user's infobox on his user page. Waldo (talk) 19:23, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Waldo: First, a procedural comment...a user being locked does not equate to a "global ban" or even a "global lock." It just means that the user has been sanctioned for inappropriately contravening one or more of our global policies. Second, you've not identified original locally blocked or locked user account to which you believe this user account is linked. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 21:04, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: I was going to but Reception changed the old account's name to MirahezeG something. It used to be OisinFan62 but as I said it got changed, due to ToU. Also, one of the links specifically said the account of locked on Miraheze specifically. The infobox on the user page also says the user is 12 years old and I didn't want to be type it outright because it felt inhumane but it looks like you've forced me to say it. Oversight what I said later, please (to someone who can). Also, I'm new so please be nicer instead of grouchy. Waldo (talk) 21:51, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Waldo: That sounds like a random hash that Miraheze system administrators will rename users to related to the UK's Data Protection Regulation, which is functionally similar to the EU's General Data Protection Regulation. Nevertheless, this is outside the purview of stewards. I would suggest you e-mail tech(at) if you believe the above-named user is related to a previous user. I'm not certain which random hash you believe the user is related to, but you should include those details in your e-mail message to system administrators. Dmehus (talk) 21:59, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: OK, I did that (I think I forgot some details though). Thanks for the help! Waldo (talk) 22:32, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Waldo: That's great, and no problem. I've alerted one of the system administrators privately on Discord as well. I am sorry if my above post seemed "grouchy." Certainly that wasn't what I was wanting and, indeed, that's the first time I've ever been referred to as grouchy. Nevertheless, I'm sorry if my initial reply was not as well received. Dmehus (talk) 22:41, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: It's all fine. I'm sorry as well. I now believe I was misinterpreting the approach and I don't think I should have reacted the way I did. Anyway, thanks again! Waldo (talk) 23:04, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Waldo: Okay, that's great then. Thanks! Dmehus (talk) 23:36, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cross-wiki deletion request

Please delete . I want to global sysop, but I'm not. --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 12:29, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Gomdoli4696: Are the local administrators on that wiki inactive? If so, you've come to the right place, and a Global Sysop or steward should be able to action your request shortly. Regarding your request for global rights as a Global Sysop, this seems like it may be related to this request. The reasoning for your request is very short, and, if I'm being completely honest with you, your request is unlikely to be successful on that basis. While not an official prerequisite for Global Sysop, significant activity on Meta, monitoring the global abuse log, making reports, responding to requests, answering questions, patrolling, and really anything else is sort of an unofficial prerequisite for the role. Since no one has voted in your request, you can boldly undo your request, or ask me to do that. Dmehus (talk) 14:24, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: This wiki's local sysop's last contribute is 1 month ago. Where can I request to global sysop? Thanks, --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 22:41, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gomdoli4696: Global Sysops do revert obvious vandalism and remove obvious spam in absence of local administrators, absolutely. However, to obtain that role, one typically needs to have significant experience on Meta, helping users on the noticeboards, helping users on Discord and IRC, and helping in other ways. If that wiki is without local administrators, what you might consider is holding a local election. Firstly, though, check this page to see if any bureaucrats on the wiki had made contributions or log actions in the past month. If so, you could ask that bureaucrat about making you an administrator. If not, look around on the wiki for any local policies governing local permissions requests or elections. If one exists, then follow those procedures to request administrator and/or bureaucrat permissions. If none exists, then you will need to create a local election page in a prominent location on the local wiki. There you would state the number and type of position(s) up for election, the candidate(s) running, the number of position(s) to be filled, how long the election shall run for (typically 5-7 calendar days minimum), and the required support ratio. You should also state whether the election is declared successful if no one expresses a supportive view but there is also no opposition, either (i.e., an election by acclamation). Once that's done and the election concluded, return to stewards' noticeboard, and post a new thread, linking to the local election page and any local policies, and a steward will assess your election and grant rights in absence of a local bureaucrat. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 22:56, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: But I'm curious how to "requesting deletion" to another Global sysop. Thanks, Gomdoli4696 (talk) 23:01, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gomdoli4696: I'm sorry, but I don't understand your follow up question. Can you clarify what you are asking a bit? I assumed you are find that wiki needs constant attention of Global Sysops, due to inactive local administrators, so I merely wanted to suggest ways in which you might be able to get yourself appointed or elected as a local administrator, since you don't yet qualify for the Global Sysop role. If you don't want to be a local administrator, that is fine, and you can report requests for deleting local pages either on this noticeboard, in the Miraheze Discord server, in the #miraheze-cvt connect IRC channel, or via e-mail to cvt(at) Be sure to link to the local pages requiring deletion, and the reason(s) for deletion. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 23:19, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Inactive Account On

An inactive person named VetaVeta has been inactive for a while now, and I'm starting to think that he made another account, can you delete this account if possible? If not possible that would be ok too. MWikiFan 16:53, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

X mark.svg Not done BOLDly. @MWikiFan:, for one thing, we don't delete accounts, even they are inactive. There are ways to redact and rename one's account, but this would have to be requested by @VetaVeta:, who is not even inactive, having recently requested to adopt that wiki at requests for adoption on Meta last month. Lock FortRan98

This guy may have been blocked for vandalism, but however, he decided to send me a foe request for no reason the other day. I don't think this guy should be around if he's just gonna vandalize articles. I suggest a global lock to be in place so he won't cause anymore trouble around this community. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 23:18, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkMatterMan4500: I had a look through nearly all of the contributions on that wiki, one of only two wikis on which this user was locally blocked, and, other than two or three diffs, I didn't see anything that would be construed, in a global/Meta context, as vandalism. There were some diffs that, yes, would be construed as vandalism, but some of the edits were constructive (i.e., replacing one section header that said "why it sucks" with "why it needs to be fixed"). The user could do well to communicate better and explain his or her edits with edit summaries, but I'm not seeing anything that would be construed, from the perspective of global functionaries, as blatant vandalism. There was also this thoughtful, compassionate blog post on Amazing YouTubers wiki. Vandalism only accounts are not known for these sort of constructive, thoughtful edits. It's important also to remember that there's a difference between locally defined vandalism and blatant vandalism in a globally defined context. In other words, what local administrators view as vandalism may not equate vandalism for the purpose of defining a vandalism only account. As to the point about the foe request, well, that seems to be something related to the SocialProfile extension, but would be any user's right to do that and hardly even worth a local block let alone a global lock. So, this seems to be Yes check.svg locally handled, I'd say, as the user is locally blocked on two wikis, and, on the other wikis, the user appears to be behaving themselves and even being constructive. Dmehus (talk) 01:17, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Alright then. I guess I won't have to worry about it. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 11:35, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

POWDER wiki admin transfer

I am the sole user of this wiki to my knowledge. I used to be the admin under the handle Fizlocke but forgot my password and had no recovery email. Please transfer admin rights to MaximoMaxim. MaximoMaxim (talk) 04:23, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@MaximoMaxim: Okay, this is why you should always have a confirmed recovery e-mail address for your account(s). Nevertheless, if you only logged in to your Fizlocke user account with the same IP address, it may be possible for a system administrator to (a) verify this and (b) request some sort of government-issued photo identification to confirm your identity. You would need to e-mail tech(at) to do this, though. Otherwise, there's no provision in our global policies to simply transfer your administrator privileges from one user account to another. I suppose you could consent to a steward performing a CheckUser on you, but if the results were inconclusive, then they still would not be able to transfer rights from your apparent old account to your newer account, and even then, since there's no global policy on self-requested CheckUser requests, it would be entirely within steward discretion to either accept or reject/decline your request. So, really, your best option is actually a local election. Assuming your wiki has no local permissions request policies or other election rules, you would create an election page on that wiki, on a prominent page, stating the number and type of position(s) you're running for (i.e., administrator, bureaucrat), the name(s) of the candidate(s) running, how long the election shall run for, the minimum support ratio required for a successful election, and whether an election can be declared successful after the minimum timeframe if no one expresses a view (i.e., election by acclamation). Once your process has concluded (recommended to last for at least 5-7 calendar days), return to stewards' noticeboard and, in a new thread, state the wiki address, local location of the election, and a steward will assess your local election in absence of a local bureaucrat. Wiki was removed, and now can't be reopened

My wiki ( was closed due to inactivity, and I didn't receive any warnings in advance by email.

I emailed tech@ and was told that my wiki has been reopened. Now when I visit I see "This wiki has been closed because there have been no edits or logs made within the last 60 days. This wiki is now eligible for being adopted. To adopt this wiki please go to Requests for adoption and make a request. If this wiki is not adopted within 6 months it may be deleted. Note: If you are a bureaucrat on this wiki you can go to Special:ManageWiki and uncheck the "closed" box to reopen it." I went to Special:ManageWiki but I am unable to uncheck the "closed" box.

Could anyone help me get my wiki working again? Could anyone help me to make sure that I will get email notifications next time the wiki is about to be taken offline?

Please lock this account

Hi, I'd like to request for a global lock on this account:

This is an alt made by a previously globalled user called Zenko just to evade their ban, and it's name is Zenko's other alt, VosKitsune with an extra Vos. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1008:b04f:f892:88d8:eea2:887c:4ede (talkcontribs) 19:16, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

2600:1008:b04f:f892:88d8:eea2:887c:4ede, firstly, (Please sign your posts on talk pages by using four tildes like this: ~~~~.).
Secondly, regarding your "report," to the extent it is that, you have not provided any evidence, typically in the forum of easily verifiable recent contributions and, ideally, in the form of diffs. As well, much like we discount the !votes of anonymous editors in permissions requests on Meta, we cannot credibly or realistically take into account the reports of anonymous users, mainly around reasons of procedural fairness and due process for the accused. Thirdly, the user whom who note has not been "globally banned," as you incorrectly claim. Their account was globally locked, yes, mainly relating to contravention of user accounts policy on local wikis on which they were locally blocked. It would not be a contravention of user accounts policy for a user to begin a clean start on other Miraheze wikis on which they were not blocked, provided, of course, they didn't revisit and resume similar problems that led to their being locally blocked on those wikis. Finally, I would just note that several of those wikis on which the user was originally locally blocked have now been closed and made private by a steward following repeated, systemic Content Policy and Code of Conduct violations, which went unremediated despite numerous warnings by global functionaries. Unblock Bauerbach and remove Autoblock #6 on Short Stories & Prompts (

Please can you unblock Bauerbach and remove Autoblock #6 on Short Stories & Prompts ( I cannot really do anything on the wiki because I triggered one of my AbuseFilters I created and my IP address is the same as the one on the other account (the one I used to create the wiki and test the filter). Toxic Fandoms and Hatedoms Wiki

I was wanting to ask why has Toxic Fandoms and Hatedoms closed or shall I say is now a private wiki? What was the main reason for this?! GamingNerdMiraheze (talk) 13:15, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@GamingNerdMiraheze: First, thank you for the question, though this has already been pretty well explained, I think, a little further up. Second, thank you for signing your posts with four tildes (~~~~). Finally, to your question, the decision by stewards to close, lock, and make private, or delete, a wiki is not taken lightly. This particular wiki had fairly egregious Code of Conduct violations by many of its users, in edit and block summaries but also in the content about users they wrote. As well, the wiki had systemic Content Policy issues with regard to publishing wholly negative and even defamatory content about users. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 14:24, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Thanks for the help, and am I able to view the Toxic Fandoms and Hatedoms wiki again anytime soon?! Even though it's private?! Like Atrocious YouTubers is a private wiki and I'm still able to read pages on it, but I will never vandalize them. GamingNerdMiraheze (talk) 14:45, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@GamingNerdMiraheze: Unless you are a member or sysop on that wiki, you won't be able to view pages, no. Dmehus (talk) 15:02, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
