This noticeboard is only for requests that require Stewards', or, in a limited number of circumstances, Global Sysops' intervention. If in doubt, please try the Community noticeboard first, and you will be directed here if the matter requires a Steward.

On the Stewards' noticeboard, you can request...

  • ...a Steward or Global Sysop lock a spam only or vandalism only account. Note that for vandalism only accounts, the vandalism must meet the global standard definition for vandalism and to be a vandalism only account, there must be no or almost no constructive editing behaviour and, additionally, this behaviour should be occurring on multiple wikis
  • ...additional permissions on your wiki(s) that can only be granted by a Steward, such as local interwiki administrator following a successful election
  • ...a page requiring the bigdelete user right (more than 1,000 revisions) be deleted on your wiki
  • ...a Dormancy Policy exemption for your wiki

or report...

  • ...a Username Policy violation (whether in good-faith or bad faith)
  • ...a user suspected of abusing multiple accounts per the User accounts policy. You must link to specific revisions from both the suspected master and illegitimate alternate account(s)
  • ...systemic Code of Conduct problems occurring by one or more user(s) on one or more wiki(s) and/or systemic Content Policy violations on one or more wiki(s). In either case, your report must link to specific revisions and, in the latter case, your report must be both thorough and comprehensive

If you would like to request...

Please remember to:

  • Sign your request using ~~~~
  • Stay respectful
  • Give us enough details regarding your problem
To add your request, type in a title and click the "Add Topic" button below.

Close this wiki

A Nazi wiki, well it has no content yet, but as the wiki's name says and welcome page says it wants to promote Nazism.

Close it before its being used for those things. OPMAN (talk) 12:59, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@OPMAN: Miraheze values freedom of speech and diversity of views. Unless there are serious violations of the Code of Conduct or Content Policy, a wiki promoting a political ideology, regardless of how extreme, is highly unlikely to be shut down. In short, if you see those serious violations, you must link to each violation directly, preferably in a list format, in order for a steward to investigate. Dmehus (talk) 13:57, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Disgusted and disappointed and here I thought the term "hate speech" in Content Policy actually meant something. OPMAN (talk) 14:46, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@OPMAN: "Hate speech" does "mean something." What I'm saying is, unless you can show, directly, specific examples of threats or egregious, hateful speech towards a group of people or individual persons, then there's little stewards can do. There's nothing in Content Policy that prevents informational, or even avocational wikis, discussing or criticizing one or more political ideologies (which include Nazi socialism, fascism, anarchism, and similar). Hope that makes sense. Dmehus (talk) 15:00, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In my view, as long as it is a historical wiki and is solely there for documenting facts and remains neutral, there should not be any issues. But if it makes certain claims against specific groups of people or such, in that case that should be investigated. Please let us know if there are specific instances of that. Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:33, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Reception123: Why limit it to historical, though? I think the key is neutrality, and the views being advocated. That is, a Nazism wiki that advocates hateful acts against one or more groups of people would not be okay whereas an informational wiki outlining the broad strokes ideologies, current or historical, in a compare and contrast-type format would probably be okay. It's really context specific, but yes, in any case, the requestor's report does not meet the requirements for an investigation. Dmehus (talk) 15:39, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, my main issue is for it to advocate hateful acts, or perhaps call groups of people "inferior" to others, which would be discrimination. I would like to point out a previous discussion on this matter that is about a similar topic. Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:40, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@OPMAN: Christ dude, you really want to get my empty wiki banned based on the Main Page? - National Socialist Friendo (talk) 16:40, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to be BOLD here and say this won't be done. Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 16:47, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, gratefully, National Socialist Friendo (talk) 18:47, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@National Socialist Friendo: Yeah I do and I still stand by that and why don't you just change your name to "Nazi Friendo" and Dmehus says "Nazi socialism, fascism, anarchism, and similar", what? In what way anarchism is similar to other two, makes no sense and yeah historical wikis are ok, Wikia has a Nazi wiki but as Reception123 said, that wiki documents historical stuff, but what I saw on the main page at that time in this wiki, It was not about historical things, It stated It wants to promote the Nazi movement and beliefs of Nazism, which basically means it wants to promote Nazism, If you actually know what it is, you will know that comes under "hate speech" in Content Policy, I just hope miraheze doesn't become some kinda cesspool in the name of so called "freedom of speech" or "neutrality". Request for steward mediation between QwertyMan'65 and Portrock1566

Please unblock me, because portrock1566 blocked me for indefinite time, so i can do fun for my pleasure, please i admitted him portrock1566 is a traitor of me, i used to be a shitposter consisting of political satire, and goes awry with the posting of mocking george floyd and the beirut explosion, while at first glance in my discord server of the outcast network and toxic fandom and hate wiki, i used malnourished kid just for joke. I am innocent person. QwertyMan'65 (talk) 01:15, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"The block was made by ‪Portrock1566‬. The reason given is Considering that you once had a profile picture of a malnourished kid and that you posted a Beirut Explosion (which is news flash, offensive) meme on Discord. I don't trust you in the slightest. Not to mention you're such a creep for trying to befriend me, You however can plead innocent on your discussion page. EDIT: Oh fuck it I'll leave your punishment indefinite for now.." QwertyMan'65 (talk) 01:15, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

portrock1566 is a traitor. stop admin brutality. i am also being blocked on unfavorable wikis and users wiki too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by QwertyMan'65 (talkcontribs) 12:12, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@QwertyMan'65: Thank you for your post, and welcome to Meta. Please do try and remember to sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~). It looks you tried to, actually, but you originally included your signature in the section header of your post. Please avoid putting the bulk of your noticeboard and talk page posts in section headers. This looks to me like a local dispute, and you're questioning a local block on a Reception wiki. This is normally outside of steward purview; however, they, strictly in their capacity as a Miraheze community member, or another established Miraheze community member, may be willing to mediate this dispute in a neutral location (i.e., on one of your user talk pages, or on the mediator's user talk page), but this would only be possible if both you and Portrock1566 agree to the mediation as we currently have no capacity to impose mandatory mediation (though there may be merits to such a proposal in the future, given the number of two-party disputes we are seeing; the trouble with these proposals, though, is finding enough willing volunteers). Dmehus (talk) 14:24, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hello, I fixed this four tildes. I fixed my statements that deemed too long or complex, can you unblock me in atrocious youtubers and unfavorable wikis and users wiki? QwertyMan'65 (talk) 02:35, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hello steward, look! Portrock1566 blocked me forever across the reception wiki families for not being receptive while attempting to rehabilitate to me, and then, he call my grammar a "shitty as fucking hell", how spiteful an admin to abuse a weaker older new user. Please help me, to rehabilitate become a better person, please excuse my bad grammar because I'm lived in Indonesia, Portrock1566 is spiteful as antagonist. I need help from stewards to rehabilitate my life in order to get unblocked across all the reception wiki families, and the Discord servers of the same name. I hope the god (allah) will be give a good advice towards an unbeliever (portrock1566). I want to change of heart with these stewards while being affectionally care about my situation. I am a victim of abusive infinite block. My religion is Islam, so I believe to God (Allah). QwertyMan'65 (talk) 05:29, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@—M—3–M—3–G—U—Y_W@S_L0$T, What's wrong with my denying my wrongdoings? I can't find my truth about this! You have been no accountability while you saying me "denied wrongdoings" Stop being narcist @—M—3–M—3–G—U—Y_W@S_L0$T, I'm trying to be altruistic and get a public apology in the community, well Portrock did have a bad side with me (wrongful block), when Portrock mostly has a good sides. I some work with trusted person help.QwertyMan'65 (talk) 01:23, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    Portrock blocking you wasn’t “admin brutality” - —M—3–M—3–G—U—Y_W@S_L0$T 02:12, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Lamborghini446, this not attempt to not global Portrock because I just tell to their stewards to give advice towards him, not global block! you say "He has a good reason to block him" yet Portrock is still a pessimist and occasionally a dehumanizer towards me. Portrock's reason to block me was mixed; some says that this is a bad move while others this is still good move.
Portrock's reason to block me virtually had no admin accountability, and he need to find out why @QwertyMan'65 needs rehabilitation. Also @Lamborghini446, you don't be rude to me, because if you are an suspected affiliate with Portrock, then you need take a rest for a while because my steward is remedying my mistakes in order apoligize the community. You must noticing my mistakes that i will be issued a public apology. In my other words: Portrock's block decision was mixed meaning they have divided tastes. QwertyMan'65 (talk) 01:15, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's no use replying to this topic now. Because Summary: QwertyMan is playing the victim card in this topic, saying Portrock dehumanized him when he brought this to himself by posting offensive "political satire" and had a malnourished child as a pfp and used the "joke" excuse on why he did this.
    "I am innocent person" No you're not. Lamborghini446 (talk) 01:39, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    Oh, I forgot something:
"Portrock did have a bad side with me (wrongful block)" - It was a rightful one. You're just playing the victim card here Qwerty. Lamborghini446 (talk) 01:44, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────@MeMeGuYWasLost and Lamborghini446: First, to both of you, you are both unnamed third parties in what is a steward request by @QwertyMan'65: for mediation by either (a) a steward or (b) an uninvolved community volunteer on Meta to mediate and, hopefully, resolve a local dispute between him and Portrock1566. While you can comment, your comments should be both (a) helpful and (b) able to add something of value. Your comments do neither of these things. Moreover, they don't even address what QwertyMan'65 is even requesting. Thus, these are non-helpful third party peanut gallery-type comments, as I said on @Lamborghini446:'s user talk page. I strongly recommend you cease participation in this thread, if all you are going to do is continue what is a local dispute onto Meta. Finally, I would remind you both that civility is required on Meta. To Lamborghini446, you have an important note from me on your user talk page requiring your written on-wiki acknowledgment. Thank you. Dmehus (talk) 03:22, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Trevor807 disrespects the radical left and banned a guy for putting a film he liked on Greatest Movies wiki, thereby disrepsepcting his opinion. Ban him please Bobbyfulbright101 (talk) 16:40, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Bobbyfulbright101: I have looked at Greatest Movies Wiki and Awful Movies Wiki's block logs, and I have found nothing related to what you say. - ACoolBlaze5 (talk) 04:10, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Users are free to block users on their own wikis, and there is no reason for a steward to intervene in this case. "disrespecting his opinion" is not a reason for a global lock and does not violate any global policies. Reception123 (talk) (C) 06:08, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
He's under OkBoomer45, he was banned for putting the Room in there and he geniunely liked the film Bobbyfulbright101 (talk) 15:42, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You can't global Trevor over an opinion, Okboomer45. Please stop abusing multiple accounts to hide your alts and evade bans. If it continues, I'll have to make a CVT or higher ranked user get you globalled. --Hookuai (Talk to Nuclear Jaws) 16:42, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Everyone, please keep our polices on conduct, and civility in mind. Zppix (Meta | CVT Member | talk to me) 17:11, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I also would like to add that I find it a bit inappropriate that you mention you will "make a CVT" member do something, and "get someone globalled". If there is evidence of abusing multiple accounts and ban evasion, please provide details to us and we will analyse it and decide for ourselves whether they would be locked or not. Reception123 (talk) (C) 17:17, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Okboomer45's actions had "troll" written all over them, at least when he decided to add The Room on GMW. Trevor807 (talk) 17:19, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well the evidence is that Okboomer45 came as Okboomer, then Okboomer45, and after that, he came as PhoenixWright, then Bobbyfulbright101. They appear here only to evade bans and troll people. --Hookuai (Talk to Nuclear Jaws) 17:22, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's totally asinine. You have no photographic proof Bobbyfulbright101 (talk) 16:46, 15 September 2020 (UTC).[reply]

@Bobbyfulbright101: You don't either. You also can't get globalled for blocking someone and having an opinion AppleCrunchy (talk) 16:48, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Login is not working

I can't login in my wiki

Sorry, but without login I can't add any screenshot for illustration of my problem.

Also I can't change laguage for you? this is only russian:

"Похоже, возникли проблемы с текущим сеансом работы; это действие было отменено в целях предотвращения «захвата сеанса». Пожалуйста, переотправьте форму."

It's very important for me by closed wiki.

I have this board in all pages:

"This wiki has no edits or logs made within the last 45 days, therefore it is marked as inactive. If you would like to prevent this wiki from being closed, please start showing signs of activity here. If there are no signs of this wiki being used within the next 15 days, this wiki may be closed per the Dormancy Policy. This wiki will then be eligible for adoption by another user. If not adopted and still inactive 135 days from now, this wiki will become eligible for deletion. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with Miraheze's Dormancy Policy. If there is activity on this wiki you can go to Special:ManageWiki and uncheck "inactive" yourself. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask at Stewards' noticeboard."

What can I do in this terrible situation?..

thanks in advance for your help! — Preceding unsigned comment added by IP editor (talkcontribs) 18:52, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Mekhanizm: Unfortunately, I'm not able to assist you further. Do you have a registered e-mail account associated to your Mekhanizm global account? If so, I'd suggest resetting your password, and see if that works, as I'm not seeing any problems in your CentralAuth. If that doesn't work, please contact tech(at) to find out alternative way(s) of verifying you and resetting your password. Thanks.

Inactivity exemption for educational Wiki(s)

Hello, I have a series of Wikis used for a world design class I taught over the summer. My students put in a lot of effort into their Wikis and are hoping to use their work on their portfolios. There is a main landing page and then several individual wikis for each student with X being number 1 to 14. Is it possible to get these sites with an inactivity exemption so students do not have to go and update the closed status every 6 months?

Lock these accounts

Jason2001 and GTA2001. These accounts were made by a previously globalled user called WG8686 just to evade bans. Paprika (talk) 04:02, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes check.svg Locked per clear evidence that they are the same user. Reception123 (talk) (C) 05:19, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Global lock request

Can you lock REDACTED? The username is offensive. User:FireBarrier101/sig 19:31, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

@FireBarrier101:, A staff member has already globally locked the account for good. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 21:06, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes check.svg Locked by @Reception123: as a Username Policy violation. Dmehus (talk) 21:07, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you check the global account for Trollsome?

Because I have a feeling that it was made by a user who was previously banned for lock evasions.

Also, here is some evidence that could link that account to him: DarkMatterMan4500 {talk} 21:02, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkMatterMan4500: Can you link to the Special:DeletedContributions and/or Special:Contributions of the previously locked users of whom you suspect of evading their locks? It would be inappropriate to perform a CheckUser on a single account without another account to compare against. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 21:06, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Well, here's something that you could compare it to: Special:Contributions/GTA2001 DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 21:15, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DarkMatterMan4500: That would be more helpful, certainly, but if I recall correctly, didn't you, or someone else on Discord, note that GTA2001 was themselves suspected of possible lock evasion? Do you happen to recall who you suspect GTA2001 of being an illegitimate sockpuppet of? Dmehus (talk) 21:29, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: I actually suspected that account was a sock made by Willg8686 on Miraheze due to similar behavior patterns, thus, them talking about Trollsome on Scratch.
--DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 21:37, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DarkMatterMan4500: Okay, this is better. Thank you. A steward should review your report in not too long a timeframe to review your report and perform their own due diligence. Dmehus (talk) 22:01, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Check User

Can you check if the user Is the same user as Bigtastey89 due to weird behavior on a wiki? I noticed that another unlogged in user is doing the same thing, however, there is something very strange about this one that is different from the other one, this one has been globally blocked exactly one month ago. I have no idea how or why they are doing this, and I have even less of a idea how they are doing it when their account is globally blocked. --ScratchCoder (talk) 23:57, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@ScratchCoder: (edit conflict) If it's just a logged out editor on a single wiki, I personally don't this would be required, to be perfectly honest. If you are seeing weird behaviour for that IP editor, you could just locally block (or rangeblock) that IP address and/or temporarily protect the page(s) in question to registered, logged in editors only. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 23:59, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Checkuser request on suspected accounts

Hi, I'd like to request for checkuser on suspected accounts on Unfavorable Wikis and Users Wiki. They are:

Most people said that Inkster is the owner of this account. People said that he showed up (As he joined in September 7, 2020) just days after Inkster started getting blocked around several wikis probably just a coincidence. Because of this Thorn Ice was accused as a sockpuppet use by Inkster. Thanks. User:FireBarrier101/sig 09:15, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

The user(s) in question have been Yes check.svg locked by NDKilla. Dmehus (talk) 04:19, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is a user who is a admin that is doxxing a user's face on Unfavorable Wikis and Users Wiki on Miraheze

So this page which is made by Caulipower contains a Google Drive folder, that has a image of the user's face (which he hacked his webcam to get) and posted it there. His parents also tried to tell him to remove it, but he refused to (since he hated that user so much) and he wants the user to get doxxed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by OldieSchool (talkcontribs) 12:54, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, you aren't fooling anyone Willg. Second of all, Caulipower did not "hack your webcam" and doesn't know how to hack people. Finally, while the drive shouldn't contain a picture of your face for privacy reasons, it is obvious that it was already made public before and therefore does not fit the definition of doxxing. Can a steward please lock this account for ban evasion and spreading more false information? Paprika (talk) 13:18, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The illogicalpedia was abandoned by its administrators and there is little activity. --Anthony8IA (talk) 14:03, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Anthony8IA: Well, you can read Dormancy Policy as that may apply to your question. However, I'm not sure what your question is. Are you wanting to adopt the wiki, or otherwise hold a local election on the wiki with inactive administrators? Either of these may be possible, depending on the current wiki's status, and the circumstances that gave rise to that status. Dmehus (talk) 14:26, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I would like to adopt the wiki. --Anthony8IA (talk) 14:31, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Anthony8IA: Okay, thanks. That's helpful. Looking in Special:ManageWiki, I see that wiki is not closed, so it cannot be adopted. I do see the wiki's sole bureaucrat has not edited in more than six months or more, yes, so you have a couple options here. One, you could go to this special page on the wiki to connect with that bureaucrat's user page and then use the Special:EmailUser function (if available) to see if they will appoint you as a bureaucrat and administrator on the wiki. Alternatively, ideally if they don't reply or you cannot use that function, you can hold a local election in a prominent page on the wiki, naming yourself as the candidate for local bureaucrat. If the wiki has local policies governing bureaucrat selection or election, you must follow them, and should link to that page in your local election. If they have no local policies governing role elections or selections, then, typically, you should establish those rules on your request for appointment or election page and, as a recommended guideline, should follow the global customs and conventions that we use (typically, a candidate's request is open for at least seven calendar days, the number of position(s) open for election or appointment is specified, the number of candidates running is also specified, and the required minimum support ratio is specified). Since the wiki is notionally not an active wiki, you should specify what happens if no one expresses a view after the minimum election timeframe you or the local wiki specifies (i.e., if it will be considered successful or unsuccessful). Once your local process has concluded, come back to stewards' noticeboard and, in a new thread, link to both your local election page (using the MirahezeMagic interwiki wikilink format I used in this reply) and any of the wiki's relevant guidelines or policies, and a steward will assess your process and grant rights in absence of an active local bureaucrat on the wiki. @Man who turned Evil: It was no specific page or even several page(s). If it were just that, the pages would've been deleted, and the local administrators told why. The problem with that wiki, as with the others, was a systemic issue, with sustained and persistent Content Policy violations. As well, the local administrators themselves committed sustained and continuous Code of Conduct with their egregious block and edit summaries. Dmehus (talk) 13:27, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

These wikis to be precise

Wikis that show the worst users/things: Crappy Games Wiki (Some pages harass some developers), Terrible TV Shows Wiki (Some pages harass certain animators), Awful Movies Wiki, and Rotten Websites Wiki

Wikis that show the best users/things: Awesome Games Wiki, Best TV Shows Wiki, Marvelous Vyonders Wiki, and Amazing YouTubers Wiki — Preceding unsigned comment added by Machop (talkcontribs) 14:02, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Machop: Those wikis, I would say, from what I have seen, do have some Code of Conduct issues, particularly in and around their administrators' block and edit summaries. As well, at times, the edit summaries by administrators and users are not appropriate. In terms of content, they are generally better than the user-focused Reception wikis, but they are by no means blameless. If you see blatant Code of Conduct or Content Policy issues on these wikis, you should either report them to stewards and Global Sysops on Discord/IRC, on this noticeboard, or via e-mail to stewards(at) Regardless of your reporting channel, you should always link to specific revisions of pages or log actions that are particularly egregious.

@OpenRISC What I noticed, though, is that this wiki talks about a lot of singers, and singers are people, so this wiki could technically be seen as a place to encourage hate on singers, who are real-life people. So doesn't that break one of the rules on here? - (talk) 18:23, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
They have the right to make a wiki about that topic if they wish, Making Wiki's about hate on singers does not break terms of use or code of conduct therefore unless the wiki is breaking terms of use or code of conduct nothing we can do about it i would suggest not interacting/or editing the wiki if you do not Like the wiki (: — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cocopuff2018 (talkcontribs) 13:21, 24 September 2020
First of all, I would like to note that while some Reception wikis were recently closed due to Content Policy violations, that does not mean that every one of those wikis are problematic and must be automatically closed. The title of the wiki could indicate that its purpose is to criticize and/or discuss songs. I would like to remind that the Content Policy only applies to "unsubstantiated insult, hate or rumours against a person or group of people". If you however do think that this is the case for this wiki, please do provide specific examples of pages in order for them to be investigated. Unless specific evidence is provided there is no case to close this wiki. Reception123 (talk) (C) 13:34, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think that this revision of this page would be an example of unsubstantiated hate on Doja Cat. Before the current revision, it gave stupid reasons with little to no evidence about why she is a bad singer, like in this revision, for example. - (talk) 15:10, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Stewards can't close a wiki because of the fandom version causing drama. As stated it can only be closed if its been founded to break any notable policy Codeingit (talk) 14:11, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

However, I am not that yet, as I am just a clerk on these noticeboards. So I will leave that for a Global Sysop or steward to review and remove. Thank you for your report. Dmehus (talk) 19:18, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Why don't we have @Reception123: do it too? DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 19:24, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Despite the vandalism being local, due to the fact that multiple accounts were used by the same user which violates the User accounts policy, I've decided to lock all three accounts globally. I've also nuked the images. Reception123 (talk) (C) 19:28, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Reception123: Can you do the same thing to WhyTheHellDoYouBrushYourTeeethAtWork as well? He also vandalized pages. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 19:34, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Zppix has already blocked this user locally. I don't see any evidence of vandalism on other wikis, so for the time being I don't see a reason to lock this account at a global level. If there is cross-wiki vandalism though, please let us know here. Reception123 (talk) (C) 13:36, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I would like the Dreadful Music wiki that I made to be closed as I don't need it anymore. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 20:25, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkMatterMan4500: If you just want the wiki to be closed, you can do this yourself at Special:ManageWiki on the wiki. By steward convention, manually closed wikis are ineligible for adoption at requests for adoption. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 20:52, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: I actually meant to say that I want my Dreadful Music wiki to be deleted. Sorry for the mix-up. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 20:55, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DarkMatterMan4500: Okay, no problem then. A steward should look at your request in the next couple of weeks (i.e., wiki deletion requests have typically given lower priority than, say, handling cross-wiki vandalism, abuse of multiple accounts reports, global renames, etc.). I will monitor your request and relist, as appropriate, to prevent the bot from archiving it. Dmehus (talk) 21:00, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please lock Hey maboys

This guy has been vandalizing a page by blanking the page Please lock them. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 12:14, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkMatterMan4500: I think I have mentioned this before, but please note that global locks are usually performed in cases of cross-wiki vandalism, spambots or any other global policy violations (including abusing multiple accounts). It is unnecessary to lock an account for merely performing one single edit on one single wiki. The user can very well be blocked locally to prevent further vandalism and if it spreads to (an) other wiki(s) then they can be reported for a global lock. Reception123 (talk) (C) 13:43, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Reception123: Well okay then. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 14:19, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Check user on Ip's

Please do an IP check on these accounts they are vandalism and spam IP's and I would like to know if they have any other main accounts or if they have any connection/ Please and thank you 2001:BC8:1830:140D:0:0:0:1

@Cocopuff2018: Hello and welcome to Meta, you don't have to manually type your signature, you can just type 4 tildes, like this: ~~~~ -- ACoolBlaze5 (talk) 13:37, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) @Cocopuff2018: I believe that it is unreasonable to ask Stewards to go on a witch hunt for these several IPs without any sort of indication of evidence or suspicious behavior from an actual user that would be editing from these IPs. Unless there is a user on your wiki that you believe is vandalizing from all these different IPs (with evidence to why you think this) a CheckUser cannot be done. Please delete my account, I am being bullied

Hello, I would like to request the anonymization of my account. Please change my username to a random name to protect my privacy. I am being bullied on Nonciclopedia by this anonymous user, who added defamation to my user page. Thank you. Gabngst (talk) 19:11, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Gabngst: While it is not possible to delete accounts, you can request your personal information be removed from your user account and your account be renamed; however, this is not within stewards' purview. You will need to e-mail your request to tech(at), and a system administrator will take it from there. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 19:55, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gabngst: Nevertheless, bullying is never okay, per Code of Conduct, and a steward or Global Sysop can look into that anonymous user's contributions and mitigate the problem appropriately. Dmehus (talk) 19:57, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply. I believe Nonciclopedia is a very problematic wiki: it should be a Wikipedia parody, but in fact it's a vandal magnet. This anonymous user keeps returning after being blocked multiple times. You can see here that the global sysop MrJaroslavik already blocked many IPs, and they could all be the same person.
Can you please delete my user page on Nonciclopedia and then protect it to prevent creation? Gabngst (talk) 08:18, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gabngst: Okay, I will {{ping}} @Zppix:, another Global Sysop to take a look at that wiki and also to delete and creation protect at sysop level, as a Global Sysop action your local user page. Zppix is also a system administrator, so you can contact him privately via e-mail regarding the redaction of your account's personal information, should you wish to go through with that. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 23:11, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help. I have sent an email to Zppix to request the anonymization of my account. Gabngst (talk) 10:00, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gabngst: Okay, sounds good. Regarding deletion of your local user page on that wiki, it has been apparently blanked and sysop-protected by Void. If you are satisfied with this outcome, please let me know. If not and would favour deletion and creation protection at sysop, please let me know, and I will be sure and {{ping}} Void or another steward. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 10:43, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: I would prefer it to be deleted and protected so that only administrators can create it again. Also, please check out this IP, who insulted me, Void and Zppix in edit summaries. Gabngst (talk) 12:11, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gabngst: Okay, thank you for clarifying. I will {{ping}} @Void and Zppix: to this thread, both to investigate the apparent further anonymous vandalism occurring on that wiki and also to delete and creation protect at sysop your deleted local user page. @Codeingit: Thank you for your comment. I would just point out that, unless it is something like very clear and credible threats of harm, system administrators do not handle on-wiki bullying. This sort of thing would be considered harassment and is covered by the Code of Conduct, which is overseen by stewards. Hope that clarifies. Dmehus (talk) 23:11, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Local CheckUser and Oversight

I want to do CheckUser and Oversight in my wiki, gomdoliwiki. What should I do? --Gomdoli4696 (talk) 00:24, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Gomdoli4696: This is a good-faith question, and a somewhat frequent one of new Mirahezians. Unfortunately, because CheckUser and Oversight provide for access to privileged information, the tools are, unfortunately, not used by anyone other than stewards. System administrators can use the tools, but only in very limited circumstances, mainly relating to Miraheze Terms of Use enforcement. If you believe a user is contravening user accounts policy, you can supply diffs and other behavioural evidence in a report on this noticeboard or via e-mail to stewards(at) In terms of the latter, generally, requests for suppression should follow the Oversight global guidelines and policy; however, stewards may consider other requests for suppressing revisions, with a well articulated reason. Requests for suppressing revisions should never be made on-wiki, and instead e-mailed to stewards(at) Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 01:21, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you global Rabbet hoal please

He told Stephenfisher2001 to have an unhappy birthday, he also threatened Necropolis saying "don't make me harass you in discord", proof is here HellLord (talk) 09:25, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@HellLord: I think I've repeated this quite a few times on this page, but global locks are really only for cross-wiki vandalism, spam or violating global policies (such as abusing multiple accounts or an inappropriate username). It is honestly quite ridiculous for you to be requesting a lock for someone wishing someone an "unhappy birthday". Yes, it is obviously not a very nice thing to do but it is no where near to be a "lockable offense". If you feel that they may be someone who is abusing multiple accounts and you have indications of this please let us know, but an account will not be locked for simply saying one not very nice thing to someone, which I wouldn't even consider to be an insult really. For this case, I feel that a local block is sufficient to cease the trolling/insulting comments (the one regarding the harassing). Reception123 (talk) (C) 10:52, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Reception123:, to my words on Rabbet hoal, he's actually a Konstantinodinokov55 alt. He's been attacking Necropolis on other Discord servers and even stalks on him when he comes to various Discord servers. --Hookuai (Talk to Nuclear Jaws) 05:44, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hookuai: Responding to your message, I would just note that if someone is contravening the Code of Conduct on Discord and/or IRC, that doesn't necessarily translate into sanctions on-wiki. Any warnings, sanctions, and the like should be appropriate and relevant to the channel(s) where the policy violations are potentially occurring. Hope that helps. Dmehus (talk) 12:42, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I would like to request that be deleted. I no longer want the wiki project and I can confirm I am/was the only bureaucrat there as well as active user. Thank you. Hypercane (talk) 23:46, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please lock New XanderMartin98

If you were to look at this, you're gonna find out that this guy has a history of bringing his inappropriate behavior onto the All The Tropes Wiki. Also, this guy has been abusing multiple accounts according to this block reason: "Abusing multiple accounts AND Inserting false information or nonsense/gibberish into pages: Dug up info man is an unrepentant troublemaker dragging his perversions and rule breaking way here. See this for more info:" DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 10:47, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkMatterMan4500: Do you have links to the user's Miraheze on-wiki behaviour? We can only consider evidence present on Miraheze wikis, as well as Miraheze Discord and IRC servers in the course of potential next steps. As well, such problematic behaviour would need to be substantial and significant and not just occasional problems—that is a generally constructive contributor who occasionally causes problems may warrant a local block(s) or some sort of other sanctions. In terms of global locking, as @Reception123: and I have stated on this noticeboard and elsewhere, global locks are principally used for vandalism only accounts or single purpose trolling accounts where there is zero or almost no constructive contributions, spam only accounts, Username Policy violations, or for contraventions of either user accounts policy where the user showed problems of revisiting existing wikis where blocked and causing similar problems. Even if those problems are present, the user would need to be causing problems on two (three is better) or more wikis. As well, to that I would just add that my personal preference is where those two wikis are under the same shared local administration and bureaucrats as the first wiki, a local block may still be all that's needed. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 12:50, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: This should be useful: DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) 12:55, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DarkMatterMan4500: Thank you for the on-wiki link, but I would just note that user is Yes check.svg locally blocked, and the account you've reported, XanderMartin98, doesn't exist on that wiki, so there's no user accounts policy violation. It is fine if a user attempts a clean start with a different account and does not revisit the same wikis where they were locally blocked. As well, when reporting users who are not single-purpose vandalism only or spam only accounts, a personal best practice I recommend is to {{ping}} them to your report, as part of good due process. You can see the example in the {{ping}} I've added to the section header for you. Dmehus (talk) 13:07, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DarkMatterMan4500: Actually, upon looking into this further, the user you've reported, XanderMartin98, does not exist globally, and the referenced user is only locally blocked on All The Tropes wiki and your Crappy Games Wiki, to which the user has never contributed. Unless you have a second account showing where the user has visited both of those wikis and caused problems, this looks to be Yes check.svg locally handled.
