OOjs UI icon globe.svgStewards' noticeboard
This noticeboard is only for requests that require Stewards', or, in a limited number of circumstances, Global Sysops' intervention. If in doubt, please try the Community noticeboard first, and you will be directed here if the matter requires a Steward.

On the Stewards' noticeboard, you can request...

  • ...a Steward or Global Sysop lock a spam only or vandalism only account. Note that for vandalism only accounts, the vandalism must meet the global standard definition for vandalism and to be a vandalism only account, there must be no or almost no constructive editing behaviour and, additionally, this behaviour should be occurring on multiple wikis
  • ...additional permissions on your wiki(s) that can only be granted by a Steward, such as local interwiki administrator following a successful election
  • ...a page requiring the bigdelete user right (more than 1,000 revisions) be deleted on your wiki
  • ...a Dormancy Policy exemption for your wiki

or report...

  • ...a Username Policy violation (whether in good-faith or bad faith)
  • ...a user suspected of abusing multiple accounts per the User accounts policy. You must link to specific revisions from both the suspected master and illegitimate alternate account(s)
  • ...systemic Code of Conduct problems occurring by one or more user(s) on one or more wiki(s) and/or systemic Content Policy violations on one or more wiki(s). In either case, your report must link to specific revisions and, in the latter case, your report must be both thorough and comprehensive

If you would like to request...

Please remember to:

  • Sign your request using ~~~~
  • Stay respectful
  • Give us enough details regarding your problem

Lock Rainstorm1650

He has vandalized on multiple wikis and said awful things to people. He must be stopped. Links:

GondorChicken (talk) 18:46, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: @GondorChicken: It's good that you've provided diffs, but a steward will likely need more than this. We've had back-and-forth, tit-for-tat reports between related users on Stewards' noticeboard of late, so this seems like it might be a dispute involving multiple parties or factions, one ideally suited for steward mediation. You should be advised that all parties' contributions and conduct would be assessed in such multiple party disputes. Dmehus (talk) 19:01, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: You misunderstand, because he has vandalized on several wikis, which is obviously unacceptable behavior and since it's on multiple wikis that is cause for a global lock as this user has frequently engaged in this misconduct. GondorChicken (talk) 19:57, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@GondorChicken: I'm not misunderstanding. Vandalism, other than blatant vandalism, is difficult to quantify as each wiki has different local policies on what they view as notionally vandalism. Some wikis might interpret changing things on a page that contravenes their local writing style guide as vandalism; others may take a more liberal view. This probably needs steward attention, yes, but I'm just saying that they will likely to want to evaluate the conduct of other users, on other wikis. As well, they will likely want to give @Rainstorm1650: a chance to provide a statement. Dmehus (talk) 21:07, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: You have a definite point, but I feel that spamming "bitch" into the front page on a wiki and removing loads of content usually qualifies as blatant vandalism. GondorChicken (talk) 21:51, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@GondorChicken: Yes, that is blatant vandalism, but why is the front page not protected at sysop or bureaucrat? There are alternatives here, and the user could also be locally blocked on one or more wikis, too. Dmehus (talk) 21:54, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@GondorChicken: Dude, I was just trying to give criticism. --Rainstorm1650 (talk) 06:09, 15 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Rainstorm1650: Vandalism isn't criticism. You can always speak your views. --GondorChicken (talk) 17:51, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@GondorChicken: By your logic. Criticism = Vandalism. Also, the diff on Rogues Gallery of Internet is not vandalism at all. --Rainstorm1650 (talk) 12:35, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Rainstorm1650: You are supposed to follow the Code of Conduct and not mock people. Making up false information about about people and putting them up as facts will not do you any good. Criticism is spoken directly to people, not brought up with insults and broken windows. —GondorChicken (talk) 12:46, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Add TheTopTens to global external link blacklist

Following a discussion with @RhinosF1: on Discord discussing the idea of globally blacklisting TheTopTens to prevent all users, not just non-autoconfirmed users, from linking to that website on Miraheze, he encouraged me to raise it on Stewards' noticeboard for attention by a steward. The rationale behind blacklisting it to all users is really three-fold:

  1. No known organization is publicly listed as being behind the website; any references in its terms of use and privacy policy are just to "TheTopTens," which is problematic for being unable to contact the website owner in the event of problematic user submitted content linked to from Miraheze;
  2. It is a pure play SEO spam website, with absolutely zero useful content that would be even remotely useful to link to; and, most critically,
  3. It has been used a method by which problematic Miraheze users have posted forms of harassment about other Miraheze users.

Whether we add this to an existing or new global abuse filter, or to an external links MediaWiki configuration file on GitHub, I'm agnostic as to which approach we use; however, principally, the reason for blacklisting it is that if we stop the ability to link to a frequent method by which LTAs post problematic content about Miraheze users, we stop, or at least make more difficult, the ability of LTAs to link to that content. Relisting pending steward attention. Dmehus (talk) 01:41, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm putting this [contributing to this discussion] because I've been seeing a rapid increase of Miraheze users making hate lists about users and the site itself like "Reasons why Miraheze is Awful" or "Worst Reception Wiki Users". Not to mention that these lists are nothing but biased trash that's full of hate and toxicity. What's my Proposal?

  1. Ban the creation of any wiki relating to TheTopTens for at least a month and ban pages on them forever to prevent drama.
  2. Especially on the negative wikis like Toxic Fandoms and Hatedoms Wiki, Rotten Website Wiki or Rogues' Gallery of the Internet. These are probably the reason why some users make these kind of lists on the site.
  3. Spammers who advertise the site or People who harass or hate on users who hate this site should be banned forever.
  4. I did this one because there are some users on here who slander other users (especially Se, Voltsue and Portrock1566) because they rightfully banned someone who evades their bans via comments and lists (Also on Reasons why Miraheze is Awful, you'll see a lot of anonymous users who even WANT US TO DIE! That was the last straw for me).

I hope you accept this [this discussion] Madelinefan138 (talk) 05:15, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Madelinefan138: Thank you for this good-faith attempt at an RfC. It probably would've been a reasonable RfC; however, we do already have an external links blacklist, which is coordinated by stewards. And, incidentally, I'd already started this SN request. So, I've merged your RfC into this thread. Hopefully, stewards will see it soon, and be able to add this beyond useless, spammy site to the blacklist. Request for local interwiki administrator

Hello, I would like to request a local interwiki administrator position on the DC Multiverse Wiki. I read the qualifications at Interwiki administrators and feel I am eligible for the position. I posted a post on the wiki, and have received no opposition. The post can be seen here. Thank you!
This was Yes check.svg Done by John yesterday, in this log action. Dmehus (talk) 01:43, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Inactivity exemption for Industrial Robotics & Automation (

Hello. I would like to request an exception to the dormancy/inactive policy for Industrial Robotics & Automation ( This wiki is set up as a free open alternative for the very expensive textbooks for the classes I teach, to save the students from having to purchase one. The classes sometimes run every other semester and may not need editing when the class is not in session. I do not wish to lose the work I have put into it while I focus my efforts into other courses between the robotics courses. Mike138 (talk) 09:39, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting pending steward attention. Dmehus (talk) 01:45, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[FIXED] Set $wgShowExceptionDetails = true

I have some problems on Extension:Cargo in rs but I can't find $wgShowExceptionDetails in ManageWiki page. Please help me set it. Thanks. --SolidBlock (talk) 15:34, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please file a task on phabricator so a system administrator can take a look into it? Setting $wgShowExceptionDetails is rather unlikely, but if you provide the hash at the start of the exception details, they should be able to pull up the full exception details themselves and look into what went wrong. -- Void Whispers 16:03, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Void: Actually, the phab is filed on phab:T5199. There's no hash at the start of the exception details, only saying the table does not exist. --SolidBlock (talk) 10:41, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Void: According to Yaron Koren, maybe you can help call update.php to create the needed database tables cargo_tables and cargo_pages. --SolidBlock (talk) 04:20, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
According to phab:T6070, it is fixed. --SolidBlock (talk) 03:24, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unprofessional blocking from several wikis

I have been wrongfully permanently blocked from several wikis for fraudulent personal reasons. Do you intervene in personal situations such as this? Note that the only sites I particularly care about are the Rotten Websites Wiki, and maybe the Unfavorable Wikis and Users Wiki to respond to some of the false information written about me there. Thank you for your time. Wpetoi (talk) 05:20, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Update: In response to what Dmehus said, yes, multiple of the messages violate the code of conduct. Here is the link (I believe everyone is able to view this page). If they've retracted the blocks by the time you've read this, use this internet archive link. The incident they're referring to was when I politely informed someone that I don't believe they got depression because they were banned from a kids' website for two weeks. Wpetoi (talk) 04:31, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(facepalm) "The incident they're referring to was when I politely informed someone that I don't believe they got depression because they were banned from a kids' website for two weeks." You think Circley doesn't have depression? Look again, because he's very sad and you used it to joke around, proving how offensive you are. Your deleted wiki was also slanderous. --Hookuai (talk) 06:58, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No, we blocked you: Bad Scratch Wiki, treating one of my friend's depression as a mere joke. This would describe Wpetoi: "DePresSiOn Is fAkE". You also attempted to switch you slanderous wiki into attempting it to be satire so you can try to save your wiki. And your denying the wrongdoings, Wpetoi, by saying that all those information you did was false, such as wanting to wish death on users, children, attempted to "switch" Bad Scratch Wiki's purpose to satire, and even hiding your secret on your FANDOM and Reddit account. You excuse yourself by saying "these accounts are impostors. This is why I higly despise you for all the stuff you did (except for deleting Griffpatch's page) --Hookuai (talk) 07:10, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(non-steward comment) I would just like to mention that each local wiki administrator has the right to block whoever they want and I doubt a Steward would want to get involved in such matters for the vast majority of cases. And again, please remember to keep things civil on SN. Reception123 (talk) (C) 07:15, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Echoing what @Reception123: said, I would just add to that if some of the block summaries contain personal attacks or otherwise violate the Code of Conduct, there may be a case for a redaction of the inappropriate block summaries, but yes, local blocks are a local matter. If there is material on wikis that otherwise violates the Code of Conduct, these can be reported to stewards, and e-mail to stewards(at) may be a better avenue for these reports. If you are unsatisfied with the action taken by stewards, you can review Code of Conduct to find out what your avenues for appeal or reconsideration are, or ask stewards to advise you of that. Dmehus (talk) 13:08, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, they have violated the code of conduct on multiple occasions, both in block messages and pretty much any outlet they have to send messages to me (if you don't believe me, see how many hate replies the message got for the sole reason that I was the one who posted it). I have elaborated further in a post above. Wpetoi (talk) 04:31, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop victimizing yourself; it makes you no better and makes you look like you are chasing sympathy and clout. Why do you think we're treating you like a monster? If you did, we would've outright banned you on any wiki you come (except for the Meta.) --Hookuai (talk) 06:58, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If you want unblocked, then show us that you have changed, admit the accounts were yours (or provide more proof that they were not yours) and say that the things you did were wrong and that you will not do them again. And say sorry about anything you did. ScratchCoder (talk) 14:37, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
SC is right. What he did is advising you to admit your wrongs. --Hookuai (talk) 06:58, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not taking an Alford plea because of your sockpuppet impersonator account. Wpetoi (talk) 15:05, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: These tit-for-tat allegations, from all parties, need to stop. All users have been advised that for reporting serious Code of Conduct violations, an e-mail message, substantiated by relevant diff links and a good explanation, to stewards(at) is, currently, the best avenue. Nothing positive will come from continue to argue with each other in this thread. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 15:13, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please globally lock this vandal

His name's SonicYes FortniteNo, he vandalized the Coco page on Greatest Movies Wiki and the Wonder Park page on Awful Movies Wiki so if you could globally lock him that'd be great. - Theblazemaster4 (talk) 13:27, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unless they seem to be a sock of someone, I think two instances of removing content from pages is a bit weak to justify a global lock. Reception123 (talk) (C) 13:30, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
How about a block on Awful Movies Wiki and Greatest Movies Wiki then, if he vandalises a page on an another wiki then globally lock him - HellLord (21 August 2020 UK)
Concur completely with @Reception123:. I think we may want to develop an informational page on what constitutes as "blatant vandalism" for the purposes of counter vandalism team action. Vandalism in the context of local wiki administrators may be a person removing content they don't like or otherwise object to, for which local administrators can locally block; however, in the context of global counter vandalism, unless the user is (a) a sockpuppet of a blocked user or (b) engaging solely in unconstructive vandalism (as globally measured by CVT) as a vandalism only account, there's little to arguably no case for a global lock. Dmehus (talk) 14:01, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
However, judging by the fact he has only 2 edits, both being the aforementioned vandalism on pages, he might be a vandalism-only account. - Theblazemaster4 (talk) 14:12, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is definitely a possibility that it is a vandalism-only account, but to lock an account for two edits which are simply removing content from a page is premature and unnecessary. If there is more cross-wiki vandalism or it escalates, a global lock will be considered. Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:02, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Reception123: He did tell someone that he would raid their house and also forced us to like Jacob Stout. --Rainstorm1650 (talk) 13:59, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Rainstorm1650: The user only has two edits on Miraheze, none of which mention any "raiding". Are you saying that this user is a sockpuppet of someone perhaps? Reception123 (talk) (C) 14:05, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Reception123: This: [1]. --Rainstorm1650 (talk) 12:32, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

(reset indent) Upon reviewing the several comments made by the user one one wiki only I've decided to not globally lock the user at the time, as their wrongdoings are quite minor and are only on one wiki (and a blanking on another one). For me, this does not constitute a good enough reason for a global lock, as one of the main goals of a global lock is to prevent a disruptive user from disrupting multiple wikis. I suggest that the user is locally blocked for the time being, and if the vandalism spreads to more wikis a global lock can be considered then. Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:51, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request removal of my wiki creator right

I decided to resign from the wiki creator. Please remove my wiki creator right. Thanks in advance. --そらたこ (talk) 13:31, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@そらたこ: I have procedurally moved this discussion from Meta:Administrators' noticeboard to Stewards' noticeboard, where it is in now in scope. To your request, is there anything I can do to convince you to remain as a wiki creator? We do need Japanese language wiki creators. Dmehus (talk) 14:19, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Thanks. I requested at AN because wiki creator is meta local right, but I forgot local BC can't modify. I understand we need some Japanese creator, but I can't help. I'm sorry. I nominated Koyomiya5438. I think he will be helpful because he can understand Japanese. --そらたこ (talk) 03:27, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@そらたこ: Thanks, Soratako. I understand completely. If your circumstances change and you are able to again volunteer as a wiki creator, please do consider re-applying, as you will always be welcome. Regarding the wiki creator user right, yeah, it's a Meta local user right, but is granted by a steward since it was established established by a global RfC. No worries, though. I'm sure a steward will tend to your request soon. Thanks again for your service, and I will vote in Koyomiya5438's permissions request later today. Dmehus (talk) 14:53, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes check.svg Done per request. Sad to see you go. -- Cheers, NDKilla ( TalkContribs ) 19:59, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please delete this page. Thanks! Ora & D (talk) 00:16, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ora & D: To make sure I'm understanding you correctly, you just want that page deleted, either by a steward or a Global Sysop, because the page size is too large and it's taking too long for it to load, preventing you from deleting it locally, do I have that right? Dmehus (talk) 00:43, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Because I don't have the permission to delete it myself. Ora & D (talk) 08:52, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ora & D: That's fair, but usually, Global Sysops prefer that local administration has been asked first in terms of requesting deletion. Have you already done that? Also, I'm a little confused as you've linked to דף on smallvillewiki in your original request and MediaWiki:Delete-toobig on templatewiki in your reply. Which page are you wanting deleted? If the latter case, the local administrators on templatewiki are usually pretty active, and would probably ask at that their community portal. Dmehus (talk) 14:59, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have Sysop permissions in smallvillewiki, yet I can't delete this page. I get this error. That's all. Ora & D (talk) 15:09, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ora & D: Ah, thanks, that's what I thought you might've meant, actually. This sounds like something that might require a Phabricator task, or just a ping to a system administrator. So, I'm going to ping @Reception123: to this thread. Dmehus (talk) 15:28, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ora & D: I've just heard back from Reception123, who confirmed that this is actually within steward purview, so they should be along shortly. Please monitor this thread weekly, and ping me to relist if you haven't heard from them in more than a week, so I can relist to prevent archiving. Dmehus (talk) 15:41, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── @Ora & D: I noticed you changed the page in question from this page to this page. Do you want one or both deleted? In any event, since it's been at least a week, I'm going to ping @NDKilla and Void: here to process your request. Thanks for the reping and relist. Dmehus (talk) 16:57, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Same page, same page history to be exact. I moved it. Ora & D (talk) 17:05, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, thanks, I wondered if you'd renamed/moved it. That's interesting that you're not locally restricted from moving pages with too many revisions, just deleting. Anyway, I've messaged a steward privately on Discord. Dmehus (talk) 17:12, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes check.svg Done. It'll probably take a while to fully disappear, just FYI -- Void Whispers 17:13, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I don't understand what's the purpose of this restriction. Deletion is reversible. Seems unnecessary. Ora & D (talk) 17:19, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please globally lock this vandal

This guy has been caught vandalizing an article by replacing the content with racist text and making jokes about dicks that may not be appropriate for other people. Here is some evidence of it: DarkMatterMan4500 {talk) 14:08, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DarkMatterMan4500: That username does suggest a single-purpose account whose sole purpose is to troll and/or vandalize. Nevertheless, it doesn't exist. Is it possible you've made a typo in that username in your report? Thus, we can't assess whether more than one or two wikis have been vandalized. Dmehus (talk) 15:03, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: Actually, here's a much better link: DarkMatterMan4500 {talk} 15:09, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
link. Ora & D (talk) 15:14, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DarkMatterMan4500: The user is Yes check.svg locally blocked on the sole wiki on which they've contributed, so this seems to be handled. They do seem to be a single-purpose vandalism only account, to be sure, so lock may be possible, but it may not be needed. I would recommend following up here if disruption continues onto a second wiki, and then a global locking likely would be entertained. Thanks also to @Ora & D: for correcting the link for @DarkMatterMan4500:. Dmehus (talk) 15:46, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes check.svg Locked. Due to the nature of the username, it clearly indicates to me that this user is a vandalism only account and has no intention of positively contributing to any project. Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:56, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Another vandal has been found

Please globally lock User X because he keeps removing content from pages as shown here: DarkMatterMan4500 {talk} 16:36, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the report. Yes check.svg Locked for cross-wiki vandalism. Reception123 (talk) (C) 16:47, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Local IWA and OS

With some discussions in IRC and private discussions with User:Big fatty yumi, other users agree that I and User:Big fatty yumi have local IWA rights, and I want it to import things from and and much more other sites. I acknowledge that this right may cause site-wide irreversible damage and account compromisation, and I will be held responsible for such incidents. With some private discussions in IRC, we decided that an oversighter is needed if the size of this wiki grows, and I would like to have an oversighter right to suppress copyvio, porn and personal attack content pointed at sysops who may check deleted pages and revisions. Other use cases include the suppression of personal information and other possible content, such as gross and blatant vandalism, although User:Big fatty yumi will not be holding OS rights until another discussion in IRC. Wiki URI: ThesenatorO5-2 (talk) 00:25, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@ThesenatorO5-2: I'm going to say that'll be a X mark.svg Not done on your request for local Oversight, and I would kindly remind you that you are currently subject to an indefinite administrator-imposed topic ban on creating RfCs related to local CheckUser and Oversight. Your continuing to request local CheckUser and Oversight skates treacherously close to crossing the line of breaching that topic ban. I would strongly recommend that you drop the stick.
Regarding your local interwiki administrator request, can you please link to the exact location of your election or selection process, naming the candidates for election, number of candidates for election, and any local election or appointment rules you may have? You can use the format optional piped link. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 00:33, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: I will upload a screenshot of the IRC discussion and fully protect that file. ThesenatorO5-2 (talk) 00:38, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@ThesenatorO5-2: I suppose that may work, since it is on-wiki. Having said that, though, screenshots, as you know, can be altered. So, I cannot guarantee that a steward will accept that. You're welcome to try, if you wish, but I don't want you to be disappointed if it's not accepted, and you have to hold an on-wiki election, as I had suggested. It will only delay things. It shouldn't be took much trouble for your local bureaucrats to stand for election or appointment. Dmehus (talk) 00:44, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A normal user who turned into a vandal.

A user named ChimpPan decided to become a troll and vandalize multiple wikis. When one of you sees this, please lock their account. --DeciduousWater534 (talk) 18:22, 27 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete this defamatory page

Hello. I am here to tell you that rotten websites wiki has a page on Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust and it is filled with lies, bias, and it is defamatory and they refuse to delete the page so can you delete it and possibly prevent it from being recreated? Ram bad (talk) 18:28, 27 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone perform a CheckUser on ChimpPan

A steward should do that because ChimpPan is a possible RollOverTheFloor sock because of the followings:

  • Used to be tame at first but slowly deteriorated to vandals
  • Acts ghetto (saying the N-word and having sentences sounding like a southern accent)
  • Being rude to others (called Trevor807 a hypocritical retard)
  • Highly defensive over edits.
  • Vandalizes pages by undoing user edits

So he might possibly be ban evading. --Hookuai (Talk to Nuclear Jaws) 19:39, 27 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request for closing several wikis, and a policy to limit cyberbulling

Hello Stewards,

Since the end of 2019, many users from China (at least using Chinese) have established dozens of wikis on this farm, which are only used for flamebaiting, trollbaiting, dramas, publishing hate speech, expose personal and private information and human-flesh search. I have investigated this and make a request here. I hope you will close these sites as soon as possible.

In addition, I hope to promote the establishment of an advanced content policy to prevent more sites like these from being approved because you have in fact allowed these wikis that are only used for cyberbullying to exist on your farm.

What needs to be stated is that my request is largely due to the reputation and legal risks your farm is facing but not just a blind sense of justice. I believe that you are not willing to let your farm become one "welcomes hateful attack and unauthorized disclosure of personal privacy" in the minds of Chinese users. Therefore, I don't want to wait endlessly,[1] and you'd better not ignore this request and achieve it directly.[2]

The following is a list of wikis that violate the current content policy and terms of use. The "evidence" involved was found through the "random page", so I think these ubiquitous speeches can accurately describe these sites. You can also use Google Translate to view other pages of these sites. If you cannot understand the content, you can ping me for manual translation.

Extended report to stewards; collapsed on default for reasons of readability.

very active wikis, or have quite a few pages, and seriously violate the rules

Mini World Wiki (Chinese:迷你世界维基) was a site established by User:莉夏大师 on July 10, 2020. The site claims to be "an encyclopedia of Mini_World." However, its main content is actually opposed to the "Minecraft" game, and therefore violates the "Miraheze does not host wikis with the sole purpose to spread unsubstantiated insult, hate or rumours against a person or group of people" in Miraheze's content policy (hereinafter referred to as the "content policy"). It also claimed "will completely destroy the international and Chinese versions of Minecraft", "stolen a large number of player accounts and cheat on important servers", and even "to push the founder of Minecraft into prison". [3] These expressions should belong to "incitement to violence" and are therefore prohibited.

  1. As mentioned above.
  2. Flamebaiting. This site states in the "Newcomers must-read" page that "you must know these points when you enter this site: the site owner is your father and your mother is dead. Fuck your mother." This is obviously hate speech.[4]
  3. Inciting violence. "In fact, Mini World was invented by an 11-year-old child, Wu Zhihai (I will be in the dark for the time being how it was invented), although his parents have a company, because of its strong ability to kill mothers, he sent his parents to death." "mc players, you should not insult Mr. Gu or Mr. Zhang, it should be Comrade Wu Zhihai." These rumours incite violence against minors.[5]
  4. Exposing private information. On another random page, the site exposed personal privacy information of the 15-year-old child "Zhang Yongcheng", such as the real name, mobile phone number, date of birth, address, IP address.[6]

EsuBike was established by User:莉夏大师 on June 25, 2020. It claims to "expose some nasty and mother-to-hell things done by some 'celebrities' and 'mad dogs'".[7]

  1. Insulte. "The author estimates that if Zou Yihao's mother, who was gang-raped by three strong men, knew that he made pornography, Zou Yihao's dick would be broken instantly and his electronic products would be confiscated." "…but Zou Yihao was hit by a car in her mother's womb and suffered cerebral palsy. His mother died instantly after childbirth, and her hears drifted. Zou Yihao is mentally stimulated + cerebral palsy. He can't even distinguish the watermark of the mobile phone model. The author myself estimate that Zou Yihao became brain-degenerated after being mentally stimulated by a nobler and suffered cerebral palsy."[8]
  2. Exposing private information. This page discloses the Wei Jiafu's real name, mobile phone number, birthday, ID card number (obtained through illegal means) and address.[9] What should be pointed out is that the ID number contains the birthday, so exposing the ID number and birthday together but hiding the birthday part of the ID number does not protect privacy. Any such claims are just excuses.
  3. Spoof picture. This site obtains photos of some people through human-flesh searches and uses them for spoofs. In this link, the editors created Peng Ziming's online mourning hall, and claimed that he was "such a nut that would be well-known in history" "speak farts and semen during thousands of years" "is a filial son because he killed his biological mother".[10]
  4. Piracy. This site contains a large number of articles created by so-called "celebrities" and "mad dogs", which disobeys the copyright agreement of the source websites, and did not obtain the author's authorization (and is impossible to obtain in fact, because this site itself was established to impose cyberbullying on these people).[11][12][13][14]

Anti-Esu Encyclopedia Wiki (Chinese: 反恶俗百科维基) was established by User:Mzyxsl. As the name suggests, this site is only used to oppose the "Esu Encyclopedia" by exposing the personal information of the editors of the so-called "Esu Encyclopedia", and libeling and insulting them.

  1. Posting personal information of someone and even his family. This site posted a 14-year-old boy, Yuan Enpei's real name, ID card number, birthday, address and his parents and his sister's ID card number and mobile phone number.[15]
  2. Leaking relationships between online accounts and private chat records. This page contains Wu Xiaoyu's real name, ID card number, and other accounts and their relationships posted without his consent. It also claimed that the anonymous account that made the following statement was Wu Xiaoyu himself, which is suspected of defamation or privacy disclosure: "Our Chinese girl is suitable for licking the cock of the foreign man. The boy is suitable for licking the foreign man's smegma and the semen that is slowly flowing out of his wife's hole after being shot by the foreign man. The Chinese boy was led by a foreign man with a collar and his dick was locked tightly by chastity. Only to please the foreign man with his mouth and asshole can he exchange it for his slave wife to look at him with disdain, and then use his feet for foot sex. The male's short cock shot out diluted semen within 30 seconds and was asked to lick it clean as soon as it was shot, and the short cock was not allowed to rest and was immediately locked in a cage under the eyes of the owner." This thing is so disgusting that I don't want to translate it manually. If you don't understand it, don't read it please.[16]

Esu Dog Wiki (Chinese: 恶俗狗维基) was established by User:Ehsbaiu on July 8, 2020. All its pages are copied from this website. It claims "This site is mainly used to back up the entries of Esu Dog Wiki, but we have no affiliation with Esu Dog Wiki (, nor is it the same group of operators." However, this site did not state that the act of copying pages from Esu Dog Wiki was permitted by it. On the contrary, it grandly sublicensed the copyrighted content of Esu Dog Wiki by CC-BY-SA.[17]

  1. Piracy. As above. All its pages are copied.
  2. Inciting violence. At the top of this page, Esu Dog Wiki claims that: "We are willing to publicize this garbage for free, and readers are welcome to Imitate him to do more evil for fun." The character described by this page is a 15-year-old boy, and it is clear that this site is inciting cyberbullying against minors.[18]
  3. Libelous speech. This site says, "Qian Yichen was detained, sentenced, or thrown into jail by other means for making 'spiritual yearning for life in Japan'. Please pay attention to personal safety when interacting with him." As far as I know, China has never put anyone into prison for this reason. The police I consulted explained that "it's a mistake made by staff engaged in the work of popularizing the law." The expressions used by this site not only slander Qian Yichen but also vilify the image of the Chinese police.[19]
  4. Exposing private information. This page exposed Zhang Qinrui's phone number, address, schools, accounts' relationships posted without consent and even his mother's name and phone number.[20]

This is another site copied from, created by User:Yubaozen on May 27, 2020. Therefore, this site violates the content policy and ToU of Miraheze like the above site. However, the main contributors of the site may not be familiar with the MediaWiki codes, resulting in almost all the pages are messy and difficult to read.

  1. Piracy. As above.
  2. Exposing private information. This page referred to Zhang Jintao, Zhang Yuanhan, Zhu Libin and several other people as "Esu dogs" and disclosed their age, address, mobile phone number, and ID number.[21]
  3. Hate speech. "Gao Boshi himself is a game player and likes showing off payment record and abusing. Gao Bozhi has suffered from Alzheimer's or has become a walking dead and cannot interact with you."[22]

San Gong Wiki (Chinese: 三公维基) was established by User:Ehsbaiu on June 2, 2020. Similar to "Esubike", this wiki claims to be "expose some nasty and mother-to-hell things done by some 'celebrities' and 'mad dogs'", too. But the characters on this site are different from Esubike.

  1. Insulte. "One night before the 21st century, a client came to a brothel in Xi'an and paid the price for two nights, hoping to have fun with the best prostitute here for two nights, but the prostitute came to the following conclusion with her incomprehensible brain structure and circuits: this client had two dicks. So she madly used the sturdiness of the two dicks to prop up her vaginal, which caused her vaginal to be very slack when the client started fucking. The prostitute smashed the brothel in anger. So, a few months later, in a dim small building in a red-light district in Xi'an, a potbellied, filthy, and homeless best-ever prostitute wailed, and bursts of his vaginal poured out. After a long time, a face with thick lips came out of her stomach, whose appearance told us that this is not an alien, but the famous Chen Yuxin."[23]
  2. Exposing private information. This page exposed a 13-year-old girl's real name (Zhao Tianyi), QQ number, ID card number and birthday.[24]

Opposition to Imitative and Anonymous Toads (Chinese: 反反串蛤蟆和匿名蛤蟆) was established by User:Yubaozen on July 3,2020. The third site copied from, but a little more comprehensive.

  1. Piracy. As above.
  2. Rumours. "He is good at several 'ESU' behaviors, including flattering, privacy exposure, human-flesh searching, and even buying and selling citizens' personal information got through illegal means. He has made great contributions to the depravation of Touhou audiences group." The police claimed that at least "human-flesh searching" and "buying and selling citizens' personal information" didn't ever happen.[25]
  3. Exposing private information. For example, a 14-year-old boy's accounts, birthday, address and his father's workplace.[26]

Touhou Group Wiki (Chinese: 车万圈维基) was established by User:叶大师 on July 30, 2020. Its homepage shows it's a wiki introducing the touhou games. However, most of the content on this site is still hatefully speech, defamatory description and private information.

  1. Insulte. "Zhao Xusheng (1993.06.17~), a native of Tianjin, is a 100kg fat maggot/tank with a headband … and is the ringleader of the Touhou online groups behind the scenes." What needs to pay attention is that this "Zhao Xusheng" is the person who has been slandered on "Opposition to Imitative and Anonymous Toads" directly above.[27]
  2. Exposing private information. A 16-year-old girl's real name, birthday, ID card number, address and other private information of herself and even her parents.[28]

Zhina Wiki (Chinese: 支纳维基) was established by User:LiaoPoi on April 23, 2020.

  1. Insulte. "Peng Qinxuan is a sow living in Changsha, Hunan."[29]
  2. Exposing private information. Wang Haiding and his wife's real name, birthday, ID card number and adress.[30] Hou Jvsen, his parents' and his brother's real name, accounts, phone number and ID card number.[31]
  3. Spoof picture. Some users grafted Hu Xijin's avatar onto spoof pictures and even a dog was included.[32]

Ruili Wiki (Chinese: 瑞利维基) was established by User:TYXSA on August 8, 2020. A cyberbulling site.

  1. Hateful speech. "Cao Sheng, a classmate of Cheng Zikang, living in Huangshi, Hubei, is a mule often using memes of Sun Xiaochuan, a citizen of cybercountrys, a mentally retarded patients with dementia. He yearns for life in Japan and German spiritually. He is also one of the principal offenders of the villain gang and plays the character of the spy chief." These are obviously insulting remarks.[33]
  2. Exposing private information. A 16-year-old boy's real name, accounts, private social media group, birthday and ID card number.[34]
  3. Spoof picture. This website set up a "mourning hall" for Peng Dingcong on its homepage. This is a kind of insult, whose purpose is to curse Peng Dingcong's early death.[35]

Zhang Ping Wiki (Chinese: 张平维基) was established by User:Zhangping on July 2,2020. A wiki dedicated to persecuting Zhang Ping.

  1. Insulte. This site achieves the purpose of humiliating Zhang Ping by replacing the name of the characters in the R18G novels with Zhang Ping's name. The detailed content is up to your translation apps.[36]
  2. Exposing private information. A 17-year-old boy's real name, accounts, phone number, school, address and ID card number, and his father's.[37]
  3. Spoof picture. Some editors of this site used image processing software to distort Zhang Ping's photos and even replaced his eyes and mouth with pictures of anus and vagina.[38]

not very active or has few pages, or gaming

Guang Gong (Chinese: 光工) was established by User:Yubaozen on July 25, 2020. Its main content is related to the so-called "ESU", and the content of the site has the phenomenon of insulting[39] and disclosure of people's private information.[40][41]

Personal Enmity Wiki (Chinese: 私仇维基) was established by User:莉夏大师 on July 29, 2020. Full of insulting[42] and violence instigating.[43]

ESU Dog Wiki (Chinese: 恶俗狗维基) was established by User:T91y on August 16, 2020. Only having a homepage, but it still has private information and curse.[44]

Anti Esu Encyclopedia Wiki (Chinese: 反恶俗百科维基) was established by User:博丽大師 on July 25, 2020. Seems only used to oppose Pincong, because it has only one non-blank page criticizing Pinchong except the homepage.[45]

ZWB Wiki

ZWB Wiki was established by User:Sodapoli on March 29, 2020. It claims to "record the deeds and related incidents of the avid fans of the game Plants vs. Zombies". The main content of this wiki is insulting PVZ players[46] and articles infringing others' copyright.[47][48]

Exposure Crystal uses a wiki farm to build ESU wiki (Chinese: 揭露水晶使用托管维基搭建恶俗维基) was established by User:Mzyxsl on April 23, 2020. This is a wiki without any content, and its name is "Exposure Crystal uses a wiki farm to build ESU wiki". Maybe it is "dedicated specifically to oppose Crystal". Inactive.

revisioncatmaio was established by User:BILIBILICrystalStudio on April 3, 2020. The main problem of this website is spoof pictures. The site used photos of real people as material for self-made game images without their permission, which violated the right of portrait and reputation of them.[49] Inactive.

Our ESU Website was Defeated (Chinese: 本恶俗站被攻破) was established by User:BILIBILICrystalStudio and all its pages have been emptied. However, lots of abusive content and private information still exists in the page history. An oversight may be required to clean it up. Inactive.

Mo Xiaozhen Wiki (Chinese: 默小桢Wiki) was established by User:Moxiaozhenwiki on 2020.4.24. Its page has also been emptied. But there are still rumors and humiliations against individuals in the page history.[50] Inactive.

ESUPremium was established by User:BILIBILICrystalStudio on 2020.4.3. An empty site, whose homepage contains rumors and insulting information.[51] Inactive.

Wild Child Wiki (Chinese: 野仔维基) was established by User:Zglsdteam on 2020.4.7. The only content page on it insults Lai Zhengqing from beginning to end.[52]

Anti ESU Dog Wiki Website (Chinese: 反恶俗狗维基网站) was established by User:Yubaozen on 2020.7.3. It declared to be "Closed", but there are still personal information[53] and suspected defamatory content on the pages.[54]

Meet the Landscape (Chinese: 山水有相逢) was established by User:Yubaozen on 2020.6.22. Without an homepage, but its content pages still contain personal information (for example, one's ID card photo)[55] and content inciting violence against others.[56]

Doesn't violate the rules directly, but need to be focused on for these reasons

  1. The creators, sysops or active contributors of the above sites are also active on these wikis;
  2. The look and feel of its pages and templates are the same, or so similar to the above site that it can be determined that if becomes active, it must be used for the same purpose as the above sites.

My Name's Mansion wiki (Chinese: 吾名府wiki) was established by User:Zglsdteam on 2020.4.7. It claims to "have been hacked"[57] and all pages on the site were (possibly) deleted by the attacker, but there are still spoof pictures and screenshots of private chat records in the file list.[58]

History of "Esu culture" in China

History of "Esu Subculture" in China was established by User:Yusuf Yaqub on 2020.8.15. This site claims to be "The Encyclopedia of China's Internet ESU History"(related to the "ESU").

Donglinyue Wiki (Chinese: 东凛月维基) was established by User:莉夏大师 on 2020.8.7. Haven't been used.

Crystal's Anti-Gangster Republic (Chinese: 水晶反黑共和国) was established by User:BILIBILICrystalStudio on 2020.4.14. Not used and inactive.

esuv5 was established by User:PayPhonev2 on 2020.4.23. It claims to be the fifth generation of ESU Wiki, a wiki filled with cyberbulling and private and personal information. Most content on he content on this wiki is acceptable, but its declaration still makes it vigilant.

ESU Foul Bear Wiki (Chinese: 恶俗喷熊维基) was established by User:恶俗喷熊维基 on 2020.4.2. Nothing is here, but the sitename is "ESU…".

Closed Wiki (Chinese: 关闭维基) was established by User:忒龚凌凌漆 on 2020.3.5. Its homepage claims to be related to ESU, "ESU's ESU is non-Esu". Not any valuable content here. There are screenshots of suspected non-public chat records in the file list, but it is hard to determine whether they are really private.[59]

Find Fun Wiki (Chinese: 找乐子维基) was established by User:忒龚凌凌漆 on 2020.7.2. Another wiki without any meaningful content. Its homepage claims that its purpose is to "find fun on people" and "displease others". In other words, flamebaiting and trollbaiting.

Mainpage - 曝光xfx行为的基地 - 曝光xfx行为的基地 was established by User:Zhangyuhao on 2020.7.15. Claims "our website may be another ESU wiki in your eyes". I don't know what the creator intends to write, but we should still be vigilant.

I hope you stewards can read the above reports and evidence in detail, and close the wikis involved. What's more, some of these are inactive now indeed, but I don't think you should wait for their closure according to "inactive" process, because most of the above examples seriously violate the community's content policy, ToU and laws in China and UK, for example:[60]

    1. Miraheze does not host any content that is illegal in the United Kingdom
This includes sales of various forms of contraband (ivory, fissionable material, roofies), incitement to violence, or underage nudity.
    2. Miraheze does not host wikis with the sole purpose to spread unsubstantiated insult, hate or rumours against a person or group of people
Content on wikis must be fairly balanced, meaningful or substantiated by independent referencing. Wikis which have a clearly identifiable comedic or satire value are exempt from needing to substantiate claims as these provide a meaningful value in terms of relevant content.
    3. A wiki must not create problems which make it difficult for other wikis.
Things which have a tendency to draw unwelcome attention to the wiki farm, such as hate speech, routine denial of service attacks, excessively violent content, or places in which illegal activity is discussed can create conditions that penalize other wikis, either in SEO, domain blacklisting, downtime, or excessive Miraheze staff time usage, especially in terms of policing content or insuring system stability.
Under no circumstances are you permitted to submit information to Miraheze which is illegal to display, distribute, or disseminate in the United Kingdom.
A wiki creator's rights may be removed by a steward shall a wiki creator repeatedly violates the Content Policy when creating wikis. The rights may also be removed by a system administrator if the wiki creator (potentially) causes damage (from a technical view) or creates unreasonable workload for System administrators. If you feel a wiki creator is misusing their privileges, please contact a steward.

In addition, I hope to blacklist the applicants and active users (e.g. 莉夏大师, Mzyxsl, Ehsbaiu, Yubaozen, 叶大师, LiaoPoi, TYXSA and Zhangping) of these sites so that they can't establish sites on Miraheze any longer. According to experience, although you have a content policy, the control of content on your farm is quite lax actually. This may be positive to freedom of speech; however, it may also cause that your farm is used as a battlefield.[61]

What's more, I want to clarify my views on your content policy. You claim that the content on the wiki must be "substantiated by independent referencing". However, this rule is almost not followed, especially when the wiki is used to comment on the behavior of another person or group of people. In my opinion, these comments on people is actually the one should be banned because they may be lies and advertisements when positive, or slanders and cyberbullying when negative.

The collection, collation, and exclusion of evidence are skills difficult to learn. However, more and more netizens accuse others of doing evil or violating the law recklessly, but the evidence they give is only some chat records difficult to verify and other information easily forged. I suggest that your farm should not focus on judging the authenticity of these allegations, but should directly prohibit negative comments on others with rudeness, so as to prevent your farm from becoming a battlefield.

In accordance with what you have requested in the past,[62][63] I have listed as many, detailed and representative evidence as possible for each reported case. However, due to the fact that there are too many wiki sites involved, I do not have enough time and energy to find out "all" the inappropriate content on these sites. You can also use Google Translate to read the content of the above sites.

If there are words or sentences you can't understand, please ping me for manual translation. I am also in your discord group and IRC channel.

@游魂:. Thank you for your very detailed report. I will ensure this is relisted until a steward replies to your report, noting their due diligence and that your report will be investigated. Given the length of your report and for reasons of readability of this noticeboard, I have collapsed the bulk of your report on default. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 15:51, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Most of these wikis have been made private pending further notice. A message will be sent out to the bureaucrats of these wikis instructing them to clean them of such inappropriate material. If the users on these wikis create additional wikis/accounts in order to publicize this information elsewhere on our services, there will be immediate sanctions. If you are aware of, or become aware of, any further of these wikis (particularly any that publicize private information) please let me know as soon as possible. If any of the wikis reported publish such information, and they have not yet been made private, also let me know. -- Void Whispers 22:32, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As of now, the major contributors for esuwiki have been globally locked. Anyone affected by such a lock may appeal to stewards(at), or directly to the Code of Conduct Commission. Additionally, the wiki has been closed for further edits. These same actions will be applied to the other wikis once I have more time to review them. Once the review is completed, they will be outright deleted. -- Void Whispers 03:40, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your hard work. I will always monitor them. --ShriekingSouls (Email me) 04:30, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Void: By the way, abusive and violence-inciting content still exists on the homepage of some wikis (Mini World Wiki, EsuBike, Esu Dog Wiki, Touhou Group Wiki and so on). Is it possible to hide their homepage too? --ShriekingSouls (Email me) 05:36, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@游魂: Yes, that's a very good point because the Main Page on any private wiki is the one page that is still publicly accessible. One option might be to hard redirect those main pages to a private, inaccessible internal page, or to blanking the pages; however, in either case, short of adding a steward page protection level, we will need to have helpful volunteers to monitor for the main page blanking or redirects being reverted (although, if that were happen, that would be in direct contravention or obstruction of a steward action and potentially subject to steward sanction against the offending user). Dmehus (talk) 05:41, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── So you're demanding closing almost whole of wikis in Chinese while contributing obviously nothing to any of Miraheze wikis, just because one or more or less pages of them contains expressions making you uncomfortable ? --Gundaz aghayev (talk) 17:25, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@城市酸儒文人挖坑: As we saw, @游魂 is referring to more than 30 Chinese wikis, of some which I never heard of. And you shall not assume they're filled with so-called "hate-speech". About the abuse report, you're calling yourself. -- 04:15, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Void:At present, these wikis are bypassing miraheze's locking by based on the normal user's member permissions, and you are requested to quickly delete the database of such wikis so as not to compromise the personal safety of some whistleblowers, while avoiding further damage to miraheze's reputation.城市酸儒文人挖坑 (talk) 03:03, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Outright deletion is pending a full review of the wiki. I want to make sure users are apropriately sanctioned for the contents they have posted before it is made impossible to review. -- Void Whispers 03:40, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@城市酸儒文人挖坑: Of course, and the 500+ poor souls' safety are also not guaranteed for about half a year, and almost none of them ask for local authorities, probably not dare of because their crimes. -- 04:22, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Your speech is not accurate. Someone did request to delete some wikis before, but his request was not answered for unknown reasons. --ShriekingSouls (Email me) 05:43, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gundaz aghayev: Wiki farms (e.g., Miraheze and FANDOM) are different from Wikimedia Projects. On wiki farms, users are not expected to have to make contributions to the wikis to win respect. Just have fun. However, the premise of everything is that you must obey the content policy and community guidelines, not bring trouble to others, and not damage the reputation of the entire community. You didn't do this. What you all have done is establishing 30+ wikis about "ESU" and "anti-ESU" on a poor farm having only 100+ Chinese wikis. You have not even controlled the scale of the abuse and persecution content on the pages below a certain level (like Unfavorable Wikis and Users, Horrid Reception Wikis, Toxic Fandoms & Hatedoms Wiki and Atrocious Youtubers Wiki) so that the content still causes physical discomfort to passers-by even after machine translation. Your damage to Miraheze's reputation is so serious that when I introduced Miraheze to my Chinese friends, they refused to use its services just for "the fear of persecution". Therefore, I implore you to stop sucking Miraheze and other open-source wiki farms like leeches and build a website yourself.
Especially, the so-called "ESUBike" are even belittling the name "ESU" whose previous users dared to spoof powerful dictators, expose the evil deeds of big capitalists, and support controversial political movements on their websites so get "a clearly identifiable comedic or satire value". You dare not. You even claimed on the homepage: "Please don't talk about politics here, and the IP address of the violators will be blocked immediately." What you did was bribing the police and buying from them the private information of civilians, who just like games different from yours or don't please you on social media. DISAPPOINTING. --ShriekingSouls (Email me) 04:49, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Void, 城市酸儒文人挖坑, and 游魂: 我确实要求这些wiki被删除,但是官方可能怕被人肉。顺便说,我可能会在年底申请GS。 I have requested the deletion of those wikis violating the terms of use, but maybe you guys and those miraheze guys do not want to have their identity exposed. BTW I will request for GS in October or November since I am just 14 and maybe do not qualify for stewardship due to my age. ThesenatorO5-2 (talk) 00:07, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@ThesenatorO5-2: I am not sure what you are talking about, but I would say it is not relevant to this discussion at all. As for Stewardship, there is no age limit, but a Steward should definitely be experienced and mature. Reception123 (talk) (C) 05:30, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Reception123: Yeah, I'm not sure what @ThesenatorO5-2: meant in regards to the latter portion of his comment regarding his age and GS potential candidacy as, yes, that wasn't at all relevant. I would note, though, that ThesenatorO5-2's participation is relevant here as he was he was the one who originally reported some of this now private and/or closed problematic wikis. So, in that aspect, he is to be commended for his report. Dmehus (talk) 05:47, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── I've read through the whole discussion above. All of you really did a great job, even if some of you are young and have to balance between study in the real life. Network is not a land out of laws, and I firmly back your demand in locking those wikis, and wish you will success. Be safe from the human-flesh-searching from them. 读了你们的整个讨论。你们做得非常不错,尽管你们有些人还小,需要平衡现实中的学业问题。网络不是法外之地。我坚定支持你们请求封禁这些wiki,希望你们成功。请注意安全免遭人肉。(I'm a user of Miraheze and strongly know how important a clean environment is, but I use IP in light of safety.) -- 14:28, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's beyond my expectation that you would really leave a message here. By the way, thank you for answering the question about what VPN you use :P --ShriekingSouls (Email me) 23:50, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── It seems that in order to prevent this being exposed, all content should be subject to suppression in order to protect all people involved. This discussion can then be moved to a private IRC channel or a private wiki. @Void: BTW how is the review going? ThesenatorO5-2 (talk) 10:45, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@ThesenatorO5-2: Suppression of the violating content would only be necessary if these wikis were ever made public again. I would just note that these wikis will not be made public until (a) all of the offending content has been removed and (b) a steward has reviewed every single page. It is unlikely this process will be concluded before these wikis are deleted in accordance with Dormancy Policy. Moreover, since they are now private wikis, they are not subject to adoption. Unread mail?

I sent an email to stewards at seven days ago and it still hasn't gotten a response. I consider the matter somewhat urgent and I am disappointed that it has taken so long for an answer. Wpetoi (talk) 19:16, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Wpetoi: (edit conflict) We are volunteers, but if this is regarding a Code of Conduct-related issue, you might send a short follow-up e-mail to stewards(at) asking for an expected timeline on when a decision will be made as to whether to investigate your complaint. Once they've given you that (it shouldn't take more than 30 days, I should think) and the decision thus rendered, you have the Code of Conduct Commission available to you as an appeal venue. If this is not related to a Code of Conduct-related issue, you may DM me on Discord the particulars, and I will follow up with a steward privately on the same and try and find out an expected resolution timeframe for you. Hope this helps. Thanks. Dmehus (talk) 19:21, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I did send it to the correct email, and it is a Code of Conduct violation. I don't see how a followup email would help? Wpetoi (talk) 19:23, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Wpetoi: (edit conflict) It sounds like the resolution has taken place, but you weren't notified, which may have just been an oversight. So, I will ping @Void: to this thread. Dmehus (talk) 19:24, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Resolution? The bans are still in place as of now. If you're referring to my previous message, I took it down on purpose :P Wpetoi (talk) 19:30, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Wpetoi: The blocks are locally imposed blocks. I can't speak to the fairness of their local blocking policy (to the extent one even exists), but there's little stewards can do here in that regard. I would suggest you maybe point out the most egregious block summaries that contravene the Code of Conduct, and it may be possible for a steward to unblock & reblock you under the same conditions and terms with a cleaner block summary, revision deleting the previous block's block summary. That's likely the best case resolution in this case, as far as I can tell. You could also propose a two-way global interaction ban between yourself and any of the major local actors on that wiki on community noticeboard. If the community agreed, and you'd have to provide some detailed background information and context, it would only be appealable to the Miraheze community. If they blocked you, they would be in violation of that community-imposed interaction ban, so stewards would be empowered to act. Likewise, if you did the same to any of them, you would, too, be in violation. Dmehus (talk) 20:10, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please close down The New Reception Wiki?

That wiki is a rip-off of various reception wikis, the pages there are just copy pasted from the wikis they ripped off (hell even most of the templates and pictures are not included). In addition to that, every page that was created in the early days aren’t locked for editing and moving, that causing vandals to vandalize the wiki, even dome of the pages are moved into NULL pages. The creator, Maddox121 cannot handle criticism as he blocks his critics with an expiration date of 7 millennia, 9 centuries, 7 decades, 8 years, 364 days, 8 hours, 2 minutes and 24 seconds. To make a conclusion, the wiki was solely created to excuse Maddox’s block. In other words, he’s evading his ban by making a rip-off wiki. - MeMeGuYWasLost (talk) 19:39, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: @MeMeGuYWasLost: I would point out that nothing precludes there being two wikis covering the same topic, or two wikis done differently. Even substantially similar wikis can exist subject to steward mediation. See Content Policy for the details. In short, there is not likely to be a quick resolution to this. I would suggest you and Maddox121 keep to your separate wikis and try not to interact with each other on Meta. Dmehus (talk) 19:49, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CheckUser request

There's a user called Demino who I'm suspecting is a sockpuppet of a certain user. Demino acts very similar to this user, has very similar beliefs and opinions, started to show up when the user was blocked, and suddenly disappeared when the user was unblocked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DeciduousWater534 (talkcontribs) 18:07, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DeciduousWater534: You've linked to the one user, but you need to say who you suspect the sockpuppet is, and you should also link to specific behavioural evidence. A steward may well decline your request as insufficient for the requirements of a CheckUser check. Please also make sure you sign all your talk page and noticeboard postings with four tildes (~~~~). In this case, patroller @CircleyDoesExtracter: has added it for you this time. Dmehus (talk) 18:38, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oh whoops, I knew I was forgetting something. Anyways, the certain user I'm talking about is Inkster. Here is some evidence that makes me highly suspect Demino is a sockpuppet: Both ignited an edit war on this page for the exact same reason. Demino's account was created shortly after Inkster got blocked on Crappy Games Wiki, and went inactive once Inkster got unblocked. Is this enough evidence? If not, then I can provide more. --DeciduousWater534 (talk) 19:58, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DeciduousWater534: That's probably better, I would say, and you've articulated a timeline that would at least be reasonable for a steward to examine recent contributions. It's usually best to link to specific diffs (see my global.js file on line 5 that you can copy to yours which makes this process easier). It simplifies the investigative work for stewards, but if the contributions are recent and glaringly obvious, they may investigate those pages for you. Dmehus (talk) 20:06, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I would try to use what you suggested, but I don't know what it does nor how to use it. --DeciduousWater534 (talk) 22:35, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Deciduous534: Okay, no problem. First, go to my global.js file and copy and paste this line (mw.loader.load("//"); // Backlink: User:Enterprisey/diff-permalink.js) into your global.js or common.js file (whichever you are using; the former will allow you to use it on all Miraheze wikis). Next, click on the "prev" link next to the diff you want to link to. You should then see a diff link following Permalink to this diff:. If you go into the specific revision permalink, you will see Permalink to this oldid:. Either is one, but diffs are nice as they show the previous and current changes. Now, when linking to a given wiki, you'll want to format it as optional piped link, since you're linking to that diff on another wiki. It should be that simple. I am going to also ping @CircleyDoesExtracter: to this response, so he can see how to use the diff page versus the permalink. Either is totally fine; it just depends on the specific use case and what you're doing. Hope this helps. Dmehus (talk) 05:31, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I added the line to my global.js, but what am I supposed to do with optional piped link?

Nevermind, I figured it out, but using the tool did very little in helping me gather evidence. --DeciduousWater534 (talk) 18:26, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Close this wiki

A Nazi wiki, well it has no content yet, but as the wiki's name says and welcome page says it wants to promote Nazism.

Close it before its being used for those things. OPMAN (talk) 12:59, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@OPMAN: Miraheze values freedom of speech and diversity of views. Unless there are serious violations of the Code of Conduct or Content Policy, a wiki promoting a political ideology, regardless of how extreme, is highly unlikely to be shut down. In short, if you see those serious violations, you must link to each violation directly, preferably in a list format, in order for a steward to investigate. Dmehus (talk) 13:57, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Disgusted and disappointed and here I thought the term "hate speech" in Content Policy actually meant something. OPMAN (talk) 14:46, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@OPMAN: "Hate speech" does "mean something." What I'm saying is, unless you can show, directly, specific examples of threats or egregious, hateful speech towards a group of people or individual persons, then there's little stewards can do. There's nothing in Content Policy that prevents informational, or even avocational wikis, discussing or criticizing one or more political ideologies (which include Nazi socialism, fascism, anarchism, and similar). Hope that makes sense. Dmehus (talk) 15:00, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In my view, as long as it is a historical wiki and is solely there for documenting facts and remains neutral, there should not be any issues. But if it makes certain claims against specific groups of people or such, in that case that should be investigated. Please let us know if there are specific instances of that. Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:33, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Reception123: Why limit it to historical, though? I think the key is neutrality, and the views being advocated. That is, a Nazism wiki that advocates hateful acts against one or more groups of people would not be okay whereas an informational wiki outlining the broad strokes ideologies, current or historical, in a compare and contrast-type format would probably be okay. It's really context specific, but yes, in any case, the requestor's report does not meet the requirements for an investigation. Dmehus (talk) 15:39, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, my main issue is for it to advocate hateful acts, or perhaps call groups of people "inferior" to others, which would be discrimination. I would like to point out a previous discussion on this matter that is about a similar topic. Reception123 (talk) (C) 15:40, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The wiki is named Common Sense Wiki and it is filled with bias and false claims about the reception wikis, the founder of the wiki General I80 is also an SJW and falsely blocks innocent people, General I80 also defended Zenko so can you please close the wiki please, thank you. Here’s the link (remember that the reception wikis page is biased and filled with false claims) - HellLord 06:57, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

@HellLord: A few things. First, there are problems with all Reception wikis, of which Common Sense Wiki is just one. Second, you've provided no evidence of violations of global policies, such as the Code of Conduct or Content Policy. Claims of "whiteknighting" are claims of locally-contrived rule contraventions, which have no basis in our established global policies. As such, as it stands, your complaint is thus invalid. Additionally, I would caution you against making unsubstantiated reports of problems on one or more wikis, either by providing no evidence but, more importantly, where no global policy violation has taken place, as repeated unsubstantiated claims may, itself, contravene the Code of Conduct. Third, thank you for finally fixing the timestamp format of your signature to comply with established guidelines. Dmehus (talk) 13:47, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
